And just as a final reminder: This is not a Displaced story so any comments about Tokens or Crossovers will be deleted and repeated offenders will be blocked.

Since enough people were confused by the previous version of the story "link here" I'll say this here. The ponies are humans so No Anthro Tag is needed. Though not all races are humans and I'll provide a full race chart if asked.

Awakening

In the city of Canterlot, it is a great day, the royal wedding of Captain Shining Armor and Princess Mi Amore Cadenza, or as she was also known as Cadence, and apart from a hiccup that had been dealt with; the ceremony was going perfectly.

As Princess Celestia was in the middle of saying how great the love between Cadence and Captain armor was, the door to the room was blown wide open. And down the aisle walked a figure dressed in dark purple and dark red armor with a helmet covering their face, their laughter broke the shocked silence. “Who are you?” Celestia demanded.

“Me?” The figure smirked, though it was unnoticed due to their helmets “I’m just here to make sure that this day really goes off without a hitch, which means I gotta delay the wedding till the real bride makes it here.”

Celestia was confused; ‘Real bride?’ what did this person mean. She took a glance at Cadence before turning back to the figure before taking a step forward. “If you wish to confuse me then you better come up with some better lies.” She said as a rapier appeared in her hand.

The figure laughed before saying “Please if I was looking for a fight with you I wouldn’t lie.” The figure paused; “I’d just rush you head-on.” summoning a strange blade, it was a black giant key. But before the figure could do anything a small bat-like creature showed up behind ‘her’, whispering to her. “Hmm; well; good. I was getting bored talking anyway. Looks like the proof is here.” and just as she said that Twilight Sparkle ran into the room with another Cadence who looked to have a ‘messy brawl’ appearance.

“Wait, two Cadence’s?” Pinkie asked confused.

“No, she’s a changeling. She takes the form of someone you love and gains power by feeding off your love for them.” The Cadence said.

“Yep, and if you weren’t stupid you’d also have noticed that she was weakening the barrier with those spells she kept casting on the ‘good’ Captain.” The figure said rudely. The changeling burst into a pillar of green flames and seconds later revealed her true form. Obsidian black women that looked to have elf ears and insect-like wings with wing shells.

“I don’t know who you are but you won’t ruin my plans.” The Changeling claimed.

“No,” Celestia said getting the changeling attention. “You won’t. You may have made it impossible for Shining Armor to perform his spell. But now that you have so foolishly revealed your true self, I can protect my subjects from you!” Celestia said as she launched a beam of magical energy from her rapier towards the Changeling to which the changeling responded by firing their own magical energy, causing the two to clash. Just as the changeling was winning; the rocks started flying from a tear in reality causing the changeling to lose concentration long enough for Celestia to win the struggle and causing the Changeling to be knocked to the ground. Celestia turned to the figure who was holding it’s blade in the air. The changeling, realizing that this was a losing battle, teleported away in green flames.

The figure then turned away and opened a shadowy portal. “Well my job is done. Oh; just as a warning for next time, we may not be on the same side.” Before it walked through the shadows; the figure looked at Twilight and spoke one last time. “Twilight Sparkle, you’re not who you think you are.” Leaving the whole room confused as the figure disappeared along with the portal.

A few weeks have passed since that event and everything has returned to normal apart from Twilight, who kept thinking of what the figure said. “What did they mean ‘I’m not who I think I am’?” She asked herself while also wondering why they felt familiar.

Watching her looking out of thought for who knows how many times, Spike sighed. “Twilight, you’ve looked through everything and you haven’t found anything, they were clearly just saying nonsense.”

“But why? Why me specifically?” Twilight asked before placing her head on her desk before the bell on the front door rang and she got up from her desk to head downstairs. As she reached the bottom of the stairs she saw her friends standing there. “What are you guys doing here?” Twilight asked.

Pinkie was the first to speak “You called us here remember silly?”

Twilight grabbed her head remembering that she did ask Spike to get them here. “Right...Sorry, I’ve been busy.” She said; scratching the back of her head. “What did I ask you here for again?” She asked.

The five looked confused as Rainbow Dash asked; “You sure you’re okay, Twilight?” before explaining. “You called us here because Celestia sent a message.” And it was at that moment that Twilight snapped back to reality.

“What! How could I forget about that!” She asked herself while having a mini nervous breakdown.

“Well at least she’s back to normal.” Spike said.

Pinkie asked. “So~... What did the Princess need us for?”

Twilight couldn’t answer as she was in mid breakdown so Spike answered. “There was a magical disturbance in the whitetail woods and the Princess wanted you to be on the lookout, she doesn’t know if its Changelings or whoever that strange person that showed up at the wedding was.”

A few days ago in the White Tail Woods, Lyra and Bon Bon were going for their weekly jog. As they got to the halfway point of the trail they heard something in the bushes. “Wait here.” Bonbon said as she slowly went to investigate. What she found was a person lying on the ground unconscious. “Lyra, come here, I need your help.”

“What is it Bon Bon?” Lyra asked before seeing the unconscious person on the ground. He was a male up to 6.2 tall. Short brown hair, bright peach skin and dark blue eyes. Plain green shirt that has black mostly cover the chest, left cuff just below the elbow line and back. Black sweatpants for his lower parts and just below are white socks and black track sneakers.

“Help me pick him up.” Bon Bon asked attempting to lift the person up on her own.

Lyra was nervous as she walks up to the other side of the stranger. “Ar-are you sure it's not one of those changeling things?”

“He’s unconscious, I’m pretty sure changeling’s magic works like Elfin magic. They can’t use magic when knocked out.” Bon Bon explained.

“Fine. But if we get turned into mindless slaves ‘I’m’ using whatever brainpower I have left to spite you.” Lyra joked.

An hour later the two managed to take the unconscious person to their home and placed him on their couch. “Alright, keep an eye on him. I’m going to see if Nurse Redheart can see if she can help us.” Bon Bon said and went as fast as she could to get said person.

“But isn’t today her day off?” Lyra asked the already gone Bon Bon, she sighed. “I hate it when she does that.”

“Agh-hmm, my head.” A voice said from the couch as Lyra realized the person was waking up.

“Ah, crap baskets.” Lyra said.
