As soon as Twilight finished writing her message to Sunset she instantly received a reply.

“ Dear Twilight thank you for telling us that Turquoise is ok. Please look after her she may be smart but I’m worried that some of the things in Equestria might overwhelm her and she may feel alone in a world of strangers. Your friend Sunset.

After closing the journal Twilight was about to begin reshelving her books when Rainbow Dash came in.

“ Hey, Twilight I heard there is a pony who came through the portal?” Rainbow said.

“ Rainbow Dash glad you are here, Yes there is this is Turquoise she was sent here against her will and I need you to show her around Ponyville while I fix the portal,” Twilight said referring to Turquoise who somehow piqued Rainbow’s curiosity.

“ You look kind of familiar,” Rainbow said before she got a look at Turquoise’s cutie mark. By any chance are you related to Silver Chance the three-time Equestrian 500 champion?. Turquoise looked like she was in shock after hearing her former name.

“ I was Silver and that's all I am willing to go into on the subject,” Turquoise said still remembering all the beatings and hate she had to endure most of her life.

“ That's not enough for me,” Rainbow said practically trying to drag more out of Turquoise until Twilight stopped her.

“ Rainbow Dash be nice if she doesn't want to talk about her past than leave it be. Now I have a lot of work to do replacing some of these parts and reshelving my books, so please just show Turquoise around,” Twilight said.

“ Anywhere in particular?” Rainbow asked.

“ Anywhere you want, take her to your favorite spots. Feel free to show her Cloudsdale if you wish, but try to have her back here in three days. If my theory about time in Equestria moving faster relative to the human world is correct than by the time Turquoise goes home it should be tomorrow by then,” Twilight said.

As soon as they were outside Rainbow noticed Turquoise’s wings and had an idea on what they should do first.

“ Say Turquoise has Twilight taught you about flying yet?” Rainbow asked.

“ So far just how to walk in this world we haven't covered flying yet is that something all ponies can do?” Turquoise asked.

“ Just pegasi and the princesses, There was the time Starlight used her levitation spell to fly around but that's not real flight,” Rainbow explained. Rainbow told Turquoise about how the pegasi control the weather and can walk on clouds which intrigue Turquoise.

“ So do you think I can do those things as well?” Turquoise asked.

“ In due time first let's focus on getting you airborne,” Rainbow said. Rainbow explained that the key to moving Turquoise’s wings was to think of them as a part of her and to pretend there are bones on the left and right sides of her mid-back. Turquoise managed to unfold her wings and even though she had a bit of trouble tucking them she managed to get it. Rainbow was impressed with how fast Turquoise learned to use her wings and decided they should visit Cloudsdale first. Before Rainbow and Turquoise could take off Turquoise saw something that piqued her interest.

“ Can we go there first?” Turquoise asked pointing to a carousel-like building.

“ I guess we can stop by Carousel Boutique first sure we have plenty of time,” Rainbow said. Turquoise and Rainbow raced each other and it was no surprise that Rainbow won. As soon as they entered Rarity greeted them.

“ Welcome to Carousel Boutique,” Rarity said before noticing Turquoise. Who is your new friend rainbow?

“ This is Turquoise Dusk Twilight asked me to show her around Equestria and she is from that other place,” Rainbow said. As they were talking a blue Unicorn mare with blonde hair and a cutie mark of a male symbol on top of a book wearing a pink bikini walked in.

“ Hey, Rarity I was wondering if you finished that dress I asked for?” The mare said catching Turquoise’s attention.

“ Sapphire? You're here too?” Turquoise said.

“ Sorry, miss do I know you?” Sapphire asked before seeing Turquoise’s cutie mark. Oh, Silver almost didn't recognize you with that long red wig of yours.

“ First off I am not Silver anymore and second this is my natural hair. After saying that Turquoise filled Sapphire in on everything and Sapphire understood.

“ Were you hit by that same spell Rockout’s sister used on him?” Sapphire asked.

“ No magic just a long and painful road called hormone therapy and don't get me started on how scary the home stretch was,” Turquoise said.

“ By any chance did the me from your world do the same thing?” Sapphire asked.

“ No she is still male but it's mostly Sapphire who is around instead of Azure,” Turquoise replied.

“ What made you take the plunge into being a full mare if you don't mind me asking darling?” Rarity asked while levitating a red princess style dress with rubies sewn into it. Turquoise figured now would be a good time to tell them since bottling it up would hurt more than her period. Turquoise explained everything from the incident at Cloadsdale High to the present.

“ Wow to have to go through so much pain and suffering most of your life it must have been awful,” Rainbow said.

“ You don't know the half of it and when I transferred to Crystal Prep I thought things would get worse after hearing about the school’s reputation of being extremely competitive and mean spirited but thankfully principal Cadence turned things around after the former principal was forced into early retirement,” Turquoise said.

“ Well you're not alone on this side either because we are your friends too,” Rarity said before inspiration struck. IDEA, the Grand Galloping Gala is tonight and seeing as your going to be here for a while why not join us I'm sure Twilight would be happy to let you come. Turquoise considered her options and decided to take rarity up on her offer. Excellent Rainbow I’m going to borrow Turquoise for a while can you ask Twilight if she has an extra invite?.

“ No problem,” Rainbow said before taking off.

Meanwhile at the local Scrap Yard Twilight was looking for some replacement parts for the portal. Hmm, maybe this could be a suitable replacement for the generator. As Twilight was browsing a Diamond Dog snuck up behind her.

“ What does princess pony think she doing to Axle’s junk,” The Diamond Dog known as Axle demanded.

“ I didn't mean to intrude I was looking for some new parts for a machine of mine that was damaged,” Twilight said.

“ Oh well why didn't princess pony say so Axle be glad to take look and see if anything Axle can do to help,” Axle said. Minutes later they arrive at the castle and Axle was already impressed with the apparatus Twilight built to keep the portal open. Suddenly Rainbow arrived and looked a bit startled by Axle.

“ Where did this Diamond Dog come from?” Rainbow asked.

“ This is Axle he will be helping me fix the portal. Aren't you supposed to be with Turquoise?” Twilight asked.

“ Rarity is with her now which reminds me Rarity wants to know if she may attend the Grand Galloping Gala with us?” Rainbow asked.

“ Sure this could be a good experience for her,” Twilight said.

“ Good news and bad news. Good news I have most of what we need in Scrapyard bad news parts buried deep in piles so make take a couple of days to find,” Axle said.

“ No rush Axle this gives us more time to get to know Turquoise,” Twilight said. As Axle was tinkering with the apparatus it suddenly sparked and caused the portal to open.

Meanwhile back in the Human World Haruka was getting bored with waiting and leaned against the base of the former statue only to fall through it. Haruka was spinning and as soon as she came out the other side looked shocked to see a couple of ponies. As soon as Haruka exited the portal it went down again.

“ What just happened?” Axle asked.

“ My guess A magical surge powerful enough to keep the portal open for a minute or two,” Twilight speculated before noticing a creme colored Pegasus mare with a short blonde mane and tail with a cutie mark of twin katanas crossed beneath a samurai helmet in the room. Who are you and what are you doing here?

“ I’m Haruka and I was leaning against the base of the former Wondercolt statue when I fell through,” Haruka said. Haruka asked if either Twilight or Rainbow have seen a blue girl with long red hair come through and they told her where Turquoise was now.

“ Slow down Haruka Turquoise is just fine first you might want to try putting her front hooves down before you lose your balance,” Twilight said before Haruka fell forward.

“ How can ponies move like this?” Haruka said.

“ We are quadrupedal creatures so this is just second nature to us,” Twilight said.

“ Now will you take me to Turquoise?” Haruka asked.

“ I’m assuming you are the soulmate she was talking about?” Rainbow asked.

“ I am and I am very worried about her what if she was kidnapped by dragons or worse?” Haruka said worriedly.

“ Since you're going back to see Rarity takes these with you,” Twilight said giving Rainbow Two tickets for the Grand Galloping Gala.

Meanwhile back at Carousel Boutique Rarity was using her magic to sew a bunch of Emeralds and Sapphires onto a light green dress with care not to damage the petticoat inside the hem of the dress. As soon as she finished it she told turquoise to try it on and stand on the platform in the center of the room. After Turquoise came out wearing the new dress she stood on the platform where the lights caused the gems on the dress to sparkle.

“ Looking fabulous now to work on that mane of yours,” Rarity said before levitating a bunch of mane accessories. After styling Turquosie’s hair into a formal style she sprinkled it with what looked like some kind of red dust. This is a new technique I developed for simulating a crystal mane. I grind some gemstones into a fine powder and sprinkle it into a pony’s mane. That particular one is made from rubies and now for the final touch. Rarity levitated a crescent-shaped mane accessory and placed it in Turquosie’s mane completing the look. As soon as they finished Haruka came in with Rainbow Dash.

“ I’m back and Twilight thinks its a good idea,” Rainbow said before she and Haruka looked at Turquoise with amazement.

“ Is that you Turquoise?” Haruka asked.

“ Haruka how did you get here?” Turquoise asked while flying towards her and embracing her.

“ I believe Twilight mentioned a magical surge that opened the portal for a couple of minutes which must have happened before I leaned against it,” Haruka said. And before you ask don,t worry we won the big game and you now have a permanent spot on the Cheer Team. After getting Turquoise up to speed Haruka asked why Turquoise looked like she was going to a dance.

“ It’s called the Grand Galloping Gala Rarity mentioned it was a night of elegance and fun she was even generous enough to help me get ready for it,” Turquoise explained.

“ Almost forgot Twilight said to give this to you, “Rainbow said before giving Turquoise her ticket.

“ Rainbow who is this with you?” Rarity asked.

“ I’m Haruka Turquosie’s soulmate and of course her date for this Gala of which you speak,” Haruka said.

“ Your this Soulmate Turquoise was talking about I thought you would be a male,” Rarity said.

“ I dated a man who I thought was nice until I found out he was just using me and was later going to have other men do unspeakable things to me,” Turquoise said.

“ I know how that feels I once dated a stallion who was Princess Celestia’s nephew and I thought he would be a true gentle colt until it turned out he was just a royal pain and don't get me started on what the last straw was,” Rarity said. Rarity offered to make Haruka something for the Gala as well and she accepted with the condition that it was not too girly. Rarity complied and within minutes created a mare’s suit and had Haruka try it on. As soon as she did Twilight along with Applejack, Pinkie Pie, and Fluttershy came in wearing their dresses for the gala.

“ We need to hurry girls the gala is in four hours,” Twilight said prompting Rarity to look at her clock and gasp.

“ Your right comes on ladies we still need to get ready,” Rarity said before she and Rainbow went into another room to change.

“ I should get going too I have a special someone waiting to take me to the gala see you girls there soon,” Sapphire said before taking her leave.

Later the carriage everypony was riding in parked in front of the castle and everyone got onto the red carpet. Turquoise looked amazed by what she was looking at.

“ Turquoise, Haruka, Welcome to Canterlot the capital of Equestria,” Twilight said.
