In the midst of one of the powerful storms in Ponyville history, Twilight Sparkle discovers a pony in peril and races to her rescue, saving her in the nick of time. The stranger introduces herself as Impact Hammer, a unicorn from Silicanter Valley, the most technologically advanced village in Equestria. Twilight invites her into her home to recover, where the two soon learn that their lives and lifestyles bear many striking similarities...
Impact quickly makes her presence known, her genuine selflessness making her a respected part of the Ponyville neighborhood. However, when an unfortunate misunderstanding brings bad memories to the surface and causes her to lose her temper, she inadvertently places those new friendships, and her good reputation, in serious jeopardy.
Will she discover the beautiful tomorrow she deserves or wander forever through the shadows of her yesteryears? Can the Mane Six find the strength to stand together and save this lost soul from her most dangerous enemy...herself?
