A seemingly regular human was turned into a Nightmare from the game Heroes of Might & Magic 5, and then transported to Equestria at the time of Nightmare Moon's return. Soon, he finds himself in the whirlwind of unexpected events.

Mike is a seemingly ordinary human from the planet Earth, living somewhere in the USA.

One day, he was playing his favorite turn-based strategy game, Heroes of Might & Magic 5, with his friend. Things have been going as usual when all of sudden, he was turned into a Nightmare, an upgraded tier-5 creature of the Inferno faction. A twisted version of a unicorn, it was the opposite of the fair and beautiful equine – strong, powerful, burning with hellfire, Nightmare struck horror deep into the hearts and minds of its enemies, using its natural Fright Aura.

Mike was transported to Equestria, right to the day of Summer Sun Celebration and the prophesied return of Nightmare Moon. Soon, he finds out that there is no way back to Earth, and so he has to adapt to the new world.

How would a horse from the depths of hell fare in the seemingly peaceful land of Equestria?

I would still strongly recommend waiting for the updates for this one since the original isn't that very well-written despite the number of upvotes.
