Celestia was crying in her room, Luna entered “Sister what’s wrong?”

Celestia wailed “I abandoned her my precious student, I let it happen again.”

Luna wrapped her sister in a hug “We all make mistakes dear sister, we have to move on as we should have done so long ago, together.”

As Celestia continued to weep comforted by her sister, Cadence was glaring at a guard her eyes bloodshot “Find her, we must find her, you will find her!”

The guard bolted from the room shouting “I’ll find her!”

Shining Armour frowned “I’m calling off the search, your hurting yourself.”

Cadence turned to him with a growl “She’s your sister!”

Shining Armour roared “Don’t you think I know that but she is gone beyond our reach!” he cried “I can’t lose you too!”

Cadence cried “But we have to find her!”

Shining slumped over “She left for a reason, she doesn’t feel welcome here anymore. I just hope we will see her again someday.” The pair cried together as they gave up searching for the sister they lost.

Tempered Steel and Twilight Sparkle had arrived in Klugetown, Steel frowned as the pair got out of the wagon “Twilight do you think you can survive here?”

Twilight nodded “I believe so, I just need to find some work and a roof to stay under.”

Steel smiled “You seem tougher than before.”

Twilight frowned “Killing does that to you, I can’t stop now it’s the only skill I have.”

Steel nodded “I’m glad I could help you survive out but I have wares to sell.”

Twilight smiled “I hope we meet again.” Twilight trotted away from him deeper into the town the smell of urine, faeces and alcohol filled the street Twilight did her best not to gag at the smell.

She heard a voice “You listen here Capper this is the last straw.”

She ran into the clearing to see a massive shark-like creature holding a bipedal cat, she scowled “Get off of him.”

The creature growled “I am Terror and I rule this part of town, prepare to be pummelled.”

Terror rushed forward swinging a massive punch only for Twilight with a single swing of her sword to tear him in half, Twilight growled “Anyone else want some?!”

As the crowd dispersed, the brown cat got up with a smile, he bowed “Thank you my name is Capper Dapperpaws.”

Twilight frowned “Mr Dapperpaws, if you want to thank me I want you to tell everyone here that the purple unicorn named Twilight Sparkle is looking for mercenary work and secondly I need a place to stay, do you now anywhere?”

Capper smiled “You can stay with me, it’s not incredibly impressive but it will do.”

Twilight smiled back “Thank you Mr Dapperpaws.”

Capper said “Please call me Capper.”

Twilight nodded as the pair headed towards his home, they entered his home. She saw a bed with stars on it as well as a small table, the most interesting thing she found was the picture on the wall. She asked “Who is this?”

Capper sighed “He is my father Colonel Lightning Dapperpaws, he died defending Abyssinia against the Storm King who now rules over the everything in this part of the world, he kills anyone who gets in his way.”

Twilight scowled “He sounds like a monster.”

Capper frowned “He is but no-one can oppose him, he is trying to subjugate the Hippogriffs but they are holding their ground.”

Twilightfrowned "What are Hippogryphs?"

Capper smiled "Well Hippogryphs are kind of a cross between Griffons and Saddle Arabians or Ponies, they are usually peaceful although in war are really dangerous."

Twilight asked "Can we look around Klugetown?"

Capper grinned "Sure." The pair wanrndered down the streets, he grinned as entered a dark alley "This is where I hang out most of the time" he pointed to a rocky looking building "that is the Burning Dragon bar he then turned around "that is Storm's regeants." The pair spent several hours exploring the town before returning home.

Twilight grimaced as he ehard someone “Who is that?!” She stomped over the door and opened it revealing several bipedal cats “Why are you here?”

The pale white cat at the front bowed “Forgive me I’m Steel Claw and we are a travelling caravan which needs to travel to Tabbytown but we are worried we are going be attacked by bandits, we have hired several mercenaries and I wondering if you would join us, we will pay handsomely. We saw what you did to Terror, we believe you can help us a lot.”

Twilight nodded “I’ll be glad to help, just tell me when and I’ll be there.”

Steel Claw nodded “We’ll need you to meet us dawn at the entrance to the bone dry desert in two days.”

Twilight nodded with a smile, Capper walked over as Twilight trotted towards him. “I got my first job.”

Capper frowned “Are you sure you’ll be okay with killing?”

Twilight scowled “I’m trying not to think about that, I’m just thinking about making money to survive and well no-one has any use for a magic here so I have to kill or I’ll starve, don’t make this harder on me Dapperpaws!” Capper nodded as he backed away from her, Twilight proceeded to collapse on the bed descending into a deep slumber.
