A human named Zack wakes up and discovers he is completely alone in the City of San Diego, and likely the world. How and why doesn't matter to him, it's survival, looting, and a tiny white foal with a horn and wings against an empty, and cruel world.

A human named Ashley wakes up in her apartment home, her brother, mom, dad, all missing, their phones, wallets and clothes all left behind. She realizes she is the only one in her home town of Fruita Colorado, and possibly the state, maybe world. Until, on a trip to the local mall, she finds a blue, horn and winged foal. It's just them in this cruel world.
