Chapter 1: Plague of the Jedi

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, a powerful storm appeared in space one day.

While the storm raged, a singular large object soon emerged from it.

The object silently drifted through space, as the storm closed behind it. Returning everything to how it had been, whilst leaving the object to float through space towards a nearby planet. It was then caught in the planet’s gravity and pulled down towards the surface.

Upon entry, the object started burning. This caused it to pick up speed as it plummeted towards the surface below. Observed as a ball of fire by the creatures that are native to this planet, it slammed down into the ground.

The impact created a large explosion, which formed a large mushroom cloud as giant waves of destruction spread out across the landscape and destroying everything in its path!

**

Silence surrounded the planet Tython until several wedge-shaped starships suddenly jumped out of hyperspace.

As the fleet converged on the planet, a stallion looked out his ship’s viewport at the planet they were approaching.

The stallion wore a grey officer’s uniform, including armor plates on his shoulders.
On his chest sat a multi-colored tag (with four red and blue squares on it).

Outside in space, the fleet spread out across the planet, forming a blockade around it.

As the stallion stared out the viewport in front of him, an officer trotted up towards him.

“Sir, we’re in position,” said the officer.

The stallion didn’t turn around or look behind. He just smiled to himself.

“Good. Commence bombardment. And commence jamming,” the stallion instructed.

“I don’t want a single transmission to get off the planet,” he said.

“Yes sir.”

The officer nodded, before he turned around and trotted back to carry out his orders.

Soon, every one of the cruisers’ turbo lasers targeted the many cities on the surface…then, opened fire!

Volleys of green laser fire shot down towards the planet’s surface. Followed soon after by loud and rumbling explosions. This was all accompanied by bright lights ablaze on the surface, which the stallion watched from the command ship’s bridge…

**

A hundred and sixty-eight hours later, a (modified) Star Courier soon jumped out of hyperspace.

With only the growl of the ship’s engines, the fighter headed straight for the planet in front of it.

A planet, that currently has a fleet of fifty cruisers orbiting it whose signal jammers are preventing any transmissions from getting out or any craft from escaping the system.

The lone starfighter zipped by the many cruisers as it flew down towards the planet’s surface, passing through the inner and outer atmospheres.
It soon penetrates the very clouds themselves…only to enter a combat zone!

The fighter flew over large scorched plains where walkers and infantry are proceeding towards the enemy forces on the other side.
All while red and green laser bolts shoot back and forth between the Imperial forces and the militia aiding the Jedi on the battlefield.

Militia Troopers (hiding behind constructed barricades) continually fire on the advancing Sith Troopers.

Jedi Knights deflect blaster bolts back at their source, or just away from themselves.
They fight the armor-clad individuals - on top of defending the militia - by drawing all attention away from the militia onto themselves. This allows the militia to land some hits on the walkers with rocket launchers, thereby destroying the walkers’ canons.

The Scimitar fighter paid them no heed as it flew across the plain towards its destination; an Imperial command center.

Flying over the command center, the Scimitar folded its fins onto the wing and extended its landing clamps as it touched down on the pad.

The back of the ship opened, and a landing ramp extended out and downward towards the ground…and a tall figure walked down the ramp.

Unlike the Imperials, this newcomer was humanoid.

A black skirt, decorated with multiple pairs of red lights that curved outwards the further up they went, obstructed its feet. Translucent armor revealed a burned body underneath, though, only its arms, chest and neck were exposed. The rest of its body was covered by a black material. The figure wore a large collar, which flanked the figure’s round helmet (that covered its face). And the helmet itself only sported a single red eye in the helmet’s center.

Adorning the figure were various pieces of technology.

A loud mechanical breathing accompanied the sound of the figure’s cane tapping against the ground.

The Commander nervously swallowed as the duo approached them. Never really getting over how eerie it looked when the figure walked.
It always looked like it was gliding across the ground, like a phantom or ghost.

Due to this the Commander nervously swallowed and clicked his heels. Standing at attention as the figure stopped in front of him.
Looking up at the figure, and it down at him. Each meeting the other’s gaze.

“My Lord,” the Commander greeted the humanoid.

“Commander,” the figure greeted back. Speaking in an electric monotone voice.

The Commander’s brows jumped as the figure walked past him. Causing him to do a double-take towards the figure, before hastily trotting up after him.
He eventually slowed his pace after he caught up with the figure.

As the two walked up between the Sith Troopers, a silence hung in the air. Accompanied by the eerie ambience of the humanoid’s mechanic breathing…until the figure spoke up.

“The Jedi, where are they?” the figure asked.

“Right across the plain, my Lord,” replied the Commander.

“The plain I just flew over,” the figure said, looking ahead. Paying the Commander hardly any attention (though, he was probably thankful of that)

“Yes, my Lord.”

The Commander nodded back.

Without uttering a word, the figure, Commander and masked equine walked up towards the command base.
The figure’s mechanical breathing being the only noise, until the figure spoke up again.

“Prepare an assault force, Commander,” the figure instructed.

The Commander turned and looked up at the figure, before he nodded.

“It shall be done, my Lord,” said the Commander, as they both walked inside the command base’s doors.

**

Soon, the battle between the militia (Jedi) and the Imperials raged on. This time greater than before, with the Imperials employing starfighters and bombers to penetrate the shield protecting the militia’s base of operations.

This forced the Jedi to redirect a majority of the militia away. Leaving the Jedi to hold they’re against the walkers and infantry, though, miraculously, the Knights and Masters managed to work in coalition with each other.
Protecting the other as they engaged the Imperial forces.

Even the Masters protected the Knights from the walker’s fire, while they fought off the oncoming infantry… That is, until the Imperial suddenly stopped firing.

Infantry and walkers, alike, ceased fire.

In response to this, both the Jedi and the militia stopped firing as well…and exchanged confused looks with each other. Confused by the Empire’s course of action.

**

“What are the Imperials doing?” the High Master asked, confused, as she looked down into the table. Having watched the battle between the Jedi, militia and the Imperials rage on…until it had abruptly stopped.

The High Master was a mare that sported a white mane and tail, and her coat was dark-green. She also wore white Jedi robes, with golden shoulder plates.

While the Jedi Order didn’t traditionally have a sole leader, in light of the Imperials’ attack they’d been forced to elect a Master to the role of supreme leader. One, who will lead the survivors through these dark times.

The ultimate authority on Tython.

“I don’t know, Master,” Ben Solo replied. Staring down inside the table as his Master.

“Its like they’re giving up,” he said.

He looked up from the table towards his mentor but saw only a stern expression on her face.

“No. The Sith don’t just give up like that,” the High Master said, shaking her head.

Ben furrowed his brows confused.

“Then what could it be if not a retreat?” he asked.

The High Master silently looked up from the table into her apprentice’s face.

“A plan,” she said.

“…”

Master and apprentice’s attention abruptly snapped back towards the table as they heard a voice over the com.

“Come in Commander? What was that?” the High Master inquired…

“Contact! We’ve got contact,” the militia Commander shouted.

Across the plain, a tall, and imposing silhouette appeared through the smoke.

A lone bright red light shined through the smoke. Blinding several nearby soldiers, that they were forced to pull back away from the smoke…though, the smoke almost seemed to follow them. Creeping after them, like a serpent stalking its prey. Waiting for the opportune moment to strike.

Looking through the binoculars, the militia Commander tried to get a better look at the silhouette…but no matter how closely he looked, he couldn’t get a close look at the figure.

“W-what is this? What’s going o-?” the militia Commander asked confused, until something finally happened.

Like tendrils releasing their grip, the smoke pulled back away from the silhouetted figure. Revealing it as a tall, and imposing humanoid figure clad in black robes…with parts of its burnt body exposed through translucent glass.

The Jedi and militia both gasped at the sight of the humanoid. Their eyes widening and jaws dropping at the sight before them.

Tapping its cane against the ground, the humanoid silently walked across the field towards the Jedi and the militia forces. An eerie breathing filled the air as it stepped closer and closer.

The militia were so pre-occupied with the humanoid that none of them noticed their grenades twitched.
Some unseen force was manipulating them for its own desires…

“H-halt!” one militia soldier called out to the humanoid. Pointing his gun at the dark figure…but the humanoid neither stopped or slowed his pace.

Instead, he rapidly swung his arm outwards. Sending the soldier flying back away from him towards one of the Jedi Knights…but as he slammed against the Knight, he exploded!

The other Jedi and militia flinched. Staring at the Jedi and soldier’s burning remains, before slowly turning their attention back towards the humanoid (who had not stopped walking this entire time)

Knights and Masters alike ignited their lightsabers, and held them beside them. Preparing themselves to fight to their last breath. The soldiers aimed the barrels of their blaster rifles at the humanoid-

BOOM!

…but before either of them could get a shot off, all of the soldiers suddenly exploded!

Several nearby Jedi felt the shockwaves, as they were knocked backwards.

The few Jedi that hadn’t been affected by the explosion sharply looked from side-to-side where their Masters and allies had been.

Many of the Jedi began breathing heavily as the fear within them grew. Becoming stronger and stronger, so that when the humanoid got close to them, many turned around and ran away from him.

They didn’t get very far as the humanoid thrust out his hand…and snapped their necks with the Force!

“BASTARD!” a voice abruptly called out towards the humanoid.

The humanoid’s head snapped towards the source of the voice and saw a young Jedi charge towards him. The Jedi held the lightsaber above his head, ready to slash at him.

However, the humanoid swiftly spun around towards the Jedi…and thrust the tip of his cane out towards the Jedi’s throat. Causing the Jedi to freeze in his tracks.

His eyes widened, and jaw hung slack. Twitching along with the rest of his body, until the humanoid jerked the cane back out.

As blood spurted from his wounds, the Jedi gargled and coughed up blood. Raising his hoof to cover his injury, before the humanoid kicked him down onto the ground and continued onward. Leaving the Knight to bleed out on the ground.

The humanoid soon reached the militia’s base and proceeded to make his way up along the battlements towards the main entrance into the mountain…but as he (soon) rounded the corner, he abruptly stopped in his tracks at being faced with a large group of Jedi.

Many of them glared back at him, while others were clearly afraid of him. Fearing his dark and terrible power.

One of the Jedi ignited its blade and held it out horizontally at him.

“That’s quite far enough, Sith,” the Jedi Master spat back at him. His voice containing much contempt towards the humanoid for things he’s done.

“You shall not enter this mountain. I won’t permit it,” said the Master.

The humanoid silently stared back at the Master. Not uttering a single word, even as he placed both hands atop his cane. Supporting himself on it.

“Can you feel it, Jedi?” the humanoid asked.

“The fear that you and the rest of your order will die here? That this planet will become your grave?” asked the humanoid, as he gently held out his hand. Gesturing towards the mountain and the scorched plain.

“Its tearing you apart, isn’t it?”

The Master grimaced as the rage grew within him. Threatening to make him give in to anger and attack the Sith.

Pulling himself from the brink, he regained his composure.

“This won’t be our tomb, but you’re happy to take our place,” the Master said with a confident smirk.

“Oh?” the humanoid replied in an intrigued tone. Tilting his head as he looked back at the Jedi.

“Fascinating. If I didn’t know about your ways, Jedi, I would mistake that tone for one of arrogance,” the humanoid said.

“Be wary of your thoughts, Jedi. They will betray you.”

The Master scoffed and angrily glared at the humanoid.

“You know nothing, Sith,” said the Master, as he held the lightsaber out beside him. Assuming an offensive stance.

“And that is why you, like all Sith before you, will ultimately fail.”

The Master then held his saber down towards the floor (while maintaining eye contact with the humanoid)

Both stared back at each other for a brief moment, before the Master suddenly charged at the humanoid. Swiftly raising the sword above his head, while pointing the blade at the humanoid as he ran.

The humanoid easily side-stepped the Master, but when he went to stab him in the neck with his cane the Master quickly dodged the attack.

He immediately leapt into the air towards the humanoid and knocked the cane from his grasp.

Then, before the humanoid could get a chance to recover, the Master slashed his blade at the humanoid. Suddenly forcing him on the offensive, as well as forcing him to quickly dodge his (the Master’s) strikes.

Evading them, while the Master grunted as he tried to hit his foe.

The Master soon gritted his teeth as his frustration mounted. Destroying his focus and concentration, as his swings lost their precision and become sloppier.

Then, before the Master could react, the humanoid kicked the lightsaber from his grasp (after another failed slash) and quickly grabbed the Master’s throat. Causing the Master to grunt, as he felt the humanoid’s fingers seize his throat.

With the Master kicking and struggling to get free, the humanoid turned back towards the rest of the Jedi…but as he raised the Master’s body into the air for them to see, he (the Master) started burning.

What began as a small flame soon consumed the Jedi Master’s entire body.

Unable to contain his anguish, the Master screamed aloud in pain as the fire enveloped his entire body.

The other Jedi just gasped in shock and terror as they watched the Master get incinerated. Being forced to listen to listen to his painful screams…until he finally screamed no more.
At which point the humanoid threw the Master’s burning corpse onto the floor.

Upon hitting the floor, the flames dissipated in an instant.

The Jedi stared at the slain Master’s body…before they (in an ominous manner) turned their attention towards the humanoid. Staring at him with nothing but a growing hatred, just before every last single one of them drew and ignited their blades. Holding them out beside themselves as they glared at the him (the humanoid)

“DIIE BASTARRRRRDDDDDD-!”

KA-KA-BOOOM!

However, before any of them could react, several bombers flew by overhead and dropped their payload on the Jedi. Killing every single one in the group in a powerful explosion, while the humanoid’s cape only blew behind him in the wind (from the explosion)

“Come on, move,” several voices spoke up from behind the humanoid, though, there was no need to check who they were as several armored Sith Troopers abruptly ran up past him.
Pointing their blasters in various directions, as they secured the facility.

“My Lord, what are your orders?” a Commander asked.

The humanoid looked down at the Commander and said, “Secure this base and its mainframe. If the Jedi have any contingency plans, we must know of them.”

“Yes my Lord.”

The Commander nodded back and trotted off to join his troops, while the humanoid turned his attention back towards the large entrance. Then, stepped towards it.

**

*Earlier*

“He’s a monster!” Ben interjected, as he and his Master watched the humanoid ruthlessly murder their fellow Jedi.

His words fell on deaf ears, as the High Jedi just stared at the holographic image (that showed the humanoid engaging and killing Knights and Masters. Slaughtering them all with little to no mercy) Her eyes wide with shock and jaw hanging slack at the massacre transpiring before hr.

She soon turned towards Ben and said, “Leave me.”

Ben turned his head and shot her a confused glance. Baffled that she’d want to be alone now, at this darkest of moments.

“B-but Master-“

“Now, boy! I wish to be alone!” she barked at the young stallion. Making him flinch at her abruptly raised voice.

“Y-yes mam,” he said. Bowing his head, before he turned and trotted out of the room. Leaving her as the doors closed behind him, but not before sneaking her a suspicious glance.

Outside in the hallway, Ben glared at the door…until his attention soon shifted elsewhere.

“Oh Ben, I’m so glad I found you!” a mare exclaimed as she approached the young stallion…

Back inside the room, once the High Master was certain that she was alone looked out in front of her at a wall.

“We are alone. Let us converse, Master,” she said.

“No,” a disembodied voice said. “I sense…a grave darkness approaching. One that seeks to consume us all. I cannot meet with you this final time.”

The High Master furrowed her brows confused. Showing a hint of fear.

“”F-final time”?” she asked.

“Yes, child. I cannot allow myself to be captured by this shadow. The future of the Jedi Order depends on it,” the voice replied.

“Not if I have anything to say about it. I will defend you for as long as I can!” the High Master said back. Her voice filled with confidence and passion.

The voice chuckled in a humored tone.

“Your courage and loyalty are admirable, but ultimately pointless, child,” said the voice.

“You must live. The seed of the Jedi Order lives within you, and thus, you must survive to plant it and restore hope across the galaxy.”

The mare’s eyes widened, and jaw hung slightly open.

“B-but what about you?! I cannot leave you behind to be captured by this “shadow”?!” she asked in a concerned tone.

“Do not concern yourself with me. I was never meant to leave this planet. How could I?” the voice said in an amused tone.

Frowning sad, the High Master hung her head and sobbed slightly.

“Will we ever see each other again?”

“Only time will tell, my child…But now you must go before the shadow finds you!” the voice instructed.

Closing her eyes, the High Master hung her head and briefly sobbed. Sniffling at the thought of abandoning her mentor to the Sith…but knew that it was right.

Stay, and they’ll both die. Then the Jedi Order will die with them both.

Turning around, she hastily approached the door. But stopped before she reached it.

She turned around and looked back into the room.

“Goodbye Bendu. May our paths cross again in the future,” she said. Smiling, before she turned around and hurried out of the room.

The door opened for her, and she ran out of the room. Hastily running down one of the corridors…while oblivious stepped out from behind one of the corridors.

The figure was about to call out to the High Master, but at the last second changed its mind. And instead followed after its Master.
Quietly following the mare. Curious about what she was doing…

As militia soldiers and Jedi rushed to halt the Imperials from advancing into the base, the High Master quickly snuck past them.

She navigated past soldiers, Knights and Masters, before she returned to her own personal quarters.

The door opened for her, and she stepped inside the larger-than-average room. Trotting past her bed and a golden statue of one of the ancient Jedi, where she stopped in front of a wall.

She extended her hoof and pressed it against a point on the wall. Closing her eyes as she concentrated. Using the Force to unlock the door.

A deep clunking noise sounded from behind the wall. Soon accompanied by gears and wheels turning behind the wall.

The wall jutted backwards into the wall, before it stopped and lifted upwards. Revealing a stairwell that led down into a vast darkness.

The High Master stepped inside the wall, and silently ventured onwards into the great darkness to her salvation.

**

At the same time, a large group of Sith Troopers advanced down along a corridor in pursuit of a group of milia (and/or Jedi) stragglers.
Having followed a group of (militia) soldiers down into some tunnels that ran deep underground.

The Troopers had followed the militia, until they’d arrived at a large open cavern. One that they started following as they resumed their hunt for the militia. The Troopers maintained a high alert, while they navigated the various tunnels.

… Until the militia suddenly attacked!

Firing on the Troopers from multiple vantage points, while also firing upon them from behind several large rocks (which they used for cover)
Shooting down countless Sith Troopers in rapid succession.

Though, while their ambush proved successful, it was still being carried out in a part of the base that they weren’t permitted in.
Having been strictly told to never come here on their superiors’ orders. Who, in turn, had received these orders from the High Master.

In spite of this (and the harsh punishments that followed if disobeyed) the group of militia soldiers had ventured into this “restricted section”. Having lost so much ground to the Imperials that they didn’t have a choice anymore but enter the restricted section.

However, during the Imperials and militia battled each other several shaped moved in the darkness.

Silently crawling along the surface of the rocky landscape.

The constant laser bolts from the Imperials and militia’s blasters briefly illuminating their silhouettes along the walls, as they closed in on the two warring factions.

During the battle against the Imperials, a militia soldier ran out of ammo and pulled back. Allowing one of his comrades to take his place as he re-loaded.

However, as he was about to swap the clips, he abruptly froze in his tracks at hearing a noise above him.

Odd movements in the dark, to which his head snapped up towards the source…but as he looked towards the rocky walls there was nothing there.

He immediately snapped back down towards a nearby wall as he heard the noise again. Quickly pointing his blaster rifle at the wall.

Staring out in front of him in wide-eyed terror, the soldier’s body shook with fear. Unable to shake the feeling that something was there with him. With them…and it was coming for them. For all of them!

Imperial, militia, Jedi. It didn’t matter.

He suddenly screamed aloud, as one of the Troopers shot him in his hind-leg. Causing him to collapse onto the floor.

As he laid on the ground, his back was to his comrades and the Imperials. Groaning as he reached for his injured leg.

He vaguely heard one of his comrades call out to him…but his attention instead fell upon that ever-familiar sound.

Raising his head, he was paralyzed with fear at the sight that greeted him.

His comrades continued shouting at him, but their voices didn’t register to the soldier.

Wide-eyed, he watched a bulbous, multi-limbed figure approach him. Listening as it made these disgusting chittering noise, as it crawled towards him.

However, before the creature could do anything, he quickly picked up his rifle and blasted the creature. Yelling at the top of his lungs as blaster bolts tore through the creature’s body.
Listening as the creature screeched in pain, until, finally, it collapsed dead on the ground.

The soldier stared in wide-eyed terror at the dead creature, until one of his comrades came over and helped him back up on his hooves.

“Soldier, what are you doing-AHH!”

The other soldier shouted as several tentacles suddenly shot out of the darkness and wrapped themselves around his throat…before another bulbous shape leaped out of the darkness onto him!

The cephalopod-esque creature pushed him down onto the ground. Wrapping the rest of its tentacles around his upper body, before pressing its body against his chest. Violently burrowing itself into his chest!

“AAAHHHHHHH! HELP ME!” the soldier shouted towards the injured soldier, who laid beside him.

The solder, though, just stared at his fellow soldier in shock and horror, until he finally snapped back to reality.

Without hesitation, he hastily reached for the (other soldier’s) rifle. He turned around onto his back and aimed the barrel of the rifle directly at the creature’s head.

As the laser bolts hit it, the creature screeched in pain, but soon became motionless. Laying limp and partly burrowed in the soldier’s chest.

The soldier stared horrified at his fellow soldier (and the strange creature burrowed in his chest), before his attention snapped towards several voices behind him…

“Geez, what’s that thing!?” a militia soldier shouted.

The (injured) soldier turned himself around and frantically crawled towards his comrades.

“Quickly, help me!” he called out to his comrades.

The soldiers turned towards him, and immediately rushed over to him. Helping him up on his hooves.

However, as they hauled him back towards the other soldiers, they abruptly froze in their tracks as they heard a sound behind them in the darkness.

A noise…that sounded like several hundred creatures approaching, and unnatural screeching.

Both Imperial and militia forces stopped fighting as they heard the same noise and looked behind them towards a dark tunnel behind the militia forces.

“What…was that?!” a soldier asked in a soft, yet terrified voice.

One of the soldiers looked back towards the other soldier and opened his mouth about to answer…when his attention abruptly snapped back towards the cave as the sounds got louder.

Before the sounds could get any closer, the militia quickly ran towards the Sith Troopers. Joining ranks, as they aimed their blaster rifles at the cave.

Readying themselves for whatever was to come through there…only to hear a loud, bellowing laughter echo from within the darkness. Filling the entire cave with its deep voice.

“D-do you hear that?” one militia soldier nervously asked.

“Mhm. I hear it.” Another militia soldier nodded back.

Sith and militia readied themselves for whatever was to come out of the darkness. Not even lowering their defenses one second as the laughter finally died down…and yet, what emerged from that dark cave was far more shocking than they could’ve ever imagined…!

**

Elsewhere in the facility, the humanoid abruptly froze in his tracks as he sensed something.

Something, a mixture of the Light and Dark Side of the Force reached out to him.

“Invaders beware. The gate has been unlatched. Corpses shift and offer room, a fate you must abide!” the Sith Lord heard a voice speak…however, instead of just being one specific voice, it sounded like multiple voices speaking unison.

The gender of each voice blended together to form this almost gender-neutral voice.

“Side by side we shall march as one.”

And with that, the voice/s vanished. Leaving the Sith Lord alone with his own thoughts once more, though, as well as some notable confusion.

Who was that? Were they the presence I sensed…or were they something else? the Sith Lord thought to himself.

Shaking distracting thoughts from his head, he resumed running down the corridor.

The door at the other end opened for him, and he stepped out into another room…but seconds after stepping into this room, the Sith Lord immediately leaped forward.
Rapidly augmenting his speed through the Force to dodge multiple incoming projectiles.

Once he stopped, he grabbed the lightsaber off his belt and ignited it. Holding it out in front of him in a defensive stance.

As he cautiously looked about the room, his lightsaber’s crimson blade loudly hummed. Illuminating part of the darkness in front of him.

The Sith Lord’s attention snapped up towards the ceiling as he heard a series of grotesque noise. Things like unnatural snarling and the violent re-arrangement of body-mass.

Underneath his helmet, the Sith Lord furrowed his eyes angrily. Glaring out into the darkness, where, while unable to see his foes, there was still the Force…

He closed his eyes and searched through the Force for his attacker’s whereabouts.

Though, in looking through the Force, he saw only dark silhouettes.

Deformed silhouettes that resembled large crab-esque arachnids…and one of them had lunged (from the ceiling) directly towards him!

His eyes widened, and he quickly side-stepped the creature.

The creature’s body slammed against the wall and slid down towards the floor.

Without letting his chance pass, the Sith Lord slashed his lightsaber at the creature. Severing its abdomen, much to the creature’s annoyance as it roared enraged at him.

The Sith Lord’s head, though, abruptly snapped right as something roared at him.

Suddenly, another one of those creatures lunged at him…and managed to knock him onto the floor.

The creature snapped its pinchers at him. Trying to clip him with them, yet, the Sith Lord grabbed onto the appendages and (with Force-augmented strength) held them back. Keeping them away from his head.

Standing up on its hind-legs, the creature gently pushed the Sith Lord backwards. Scraping his back across the floor. All in an effort to wear him down, so it could deliver the killing blow…

However, while the creature focused intently on wearing its enemy down it didn’t notice the lightsaber twitch on the floor.

An invisible force seized it, and levitated it underneath the center of the creature’s body-

KSSSK

…where it ignited and quickly spun around. Slashing the creature in half!

The front of the creature roared in pain as it was dismembered, but the Sith Lord took advantage of this.

Rearing up his legs, he kicked the creature’s front-half into the air. Hearing it splatter against the wall.

Re-calling the lightsaber to his hand, he quickly stood back up…

Before he could recall his cane, though, he suddenly sensed something (through the Force) trying to attack.

He quickly moved to the side. Evading an unnaturally large blade, that nearly pierced his back.

Igniting his lightsaber, he held it out in front of him at his attacker…but abruptly froze as he was meet by a hulking humanoid.

This second creature had just appeared out of nowhere.

The second creature was clearly humanoid but sported a bulky upper body on top of stumpy legs. Its right arm resembled an elongated blade…but grotesquely enough, the blade seemed like it was made from bone.

Whatever this thing was, its classification was clearly as a “heavy unit.”

In spite of what this creature was, it growled as it swung its large blade-arm down towards the Sith Lord.

Though, he dodged the attack and swiftly slashed his lightsaber (vertically) at the creature’s blade-arm. Severing it in one final swing.

Without giving the creature a chance to respond, the Sith Lord thrust his hand out towards it. Sending the creature flying backwards and slammed it against the wall.

Then, concentrating as hard as he could, the molecules on the creature’s body sparked one single spark…but this lone spark ignited an inferno that immediately consumed the creature!

The creature abruptly roared in pain as the flames enveloped its body. Causing it to forget the Sith Lord and only focus on the fire that had (seemingly) appeared out of nowhere.

Frantically moving to try and put the flames out, only for nothing to work. None of its movements extinguished the flames.

Managing to get up onto its feet, the creature slowly stepped forwards…but ultimately collapsed onto the floor dead. Its bulky form continuing to burn, while the Sith stared down at the creature. Watching every inch of its body burn and turn into a pile of ashes.

“Odd…weren’t there two creatures?” the Sith Lord thought aloud.

“Where did this third one come from…?” he asked.

“And where did the other one scuttle off to? And why did it run instead of attack me when it had the chance?” he asked confused. Looking down at the dismembered one of those arachnid-esque creatures.

Up in the corner of the wall, a security camera adjusted its lens. It zoomed in on the Sith Lord, and silently stared at him.
Having developed a newfound interest in this warrior.

The Sith Lord’s attention was suddenly pulled away from the dead creatures, as a loud beeping interrupted the tranquility around him.

He pressed a button on his wrist and answered.

“Yes Commander?” said the Sith Lord.

“M-my Lord, I have no idea what’s happened to them, but I’m being attacked by my own troops!” the Commander’s voice crackled over the channel.

In the distance, the Sith Lord heard loud and unnatural roaring and growling. Accompanied by blaster fire and screams of both pain and fear.

“Has the shield generator been deactivated?” asked the Sith Lord.

“Negative my Lord. We managed to reach it, but those…things attacked us before we could plant the explosives,” the Commander replied.

“They forced us to pull all our forces back to the base’s main entrance.”

“Hold your ground. I will deal with the generator.”

Without giving the Commander a chance to respond, the Sith Lord closed the channel.

He looked up in front of him towards the door (at the other end of the room) and ran towards it.

The door automatically opened upwards for him. He entered it and rushed down the corridor.

**

A little while later outside the base, the remaining Sith Troopers (plus their forces stationed outside the base) fired relentlessly on the vast hordes of grotesquely mutated equines that poured from the (base’s) main entrance.

The equine mutants growled and roared ferally, as they charged at the Imperials. Swinging their whip-like claws as they leapt into the air towards them…

Hundreds of small cephalopod-esque creatures scurried across the ground. They jumped onto Troopers and wrapped their tentacles around their bodies…before ripping the chest-armor off and burrowing into the Trooper’s chest!

It attacked and overrode the victim’s nervous system. Taking full control of the body and mutating it to such an extent; that its upper body sprouted bulging growths and the right hoof mutated into a hoof claw-like whip.

Once ready, the new mutant attacked the nearest Trooper, only to be shot dead…yet, the cephalopod-esque creature emerged from the chest and leapt to find another Trooper. All while another of the creatures approached the dead body and assumed control of it. Taking it into battle once more…!

Nearby walkers bombarded the hordes upon hordes of creatures.

Their laser canons made short work of the equine-mutants and the cephalopod-creatures. Easily destroying them with large explosions…

“Incoming air-support!” a Trooper abruptly shouted, as he pointed his hoof into the sky. Drawing his fellow Imperials’ attention.

Up in the sky, several starfighters and several other unidentified shapes flew straight for the battlefield.

Once in range, the fighters unleashed volleys of laser bolts at several of the Imperials light-walkers. Destroying them after a few hits, as they exploded in a ball of fire.

The walkers creaked, before they fell forwards. Slamming into the ground.

The unidentifiable shapes that accompanied the fighters shot straight towards the larger walkers.

… Only then did several Imperials realize that these unidentified shapes were disturbingly similar to the cephalopod-creatures (only it was crimson)!

The airborne creature latched on to the front of the walker and slid its tentacles inside the walker (though the viewport). Much to the crew’s shock and horror.

Several Troopers looked up at the walker as they heard the crew’s fearful screams…only for their screams to soon be silenced.

The airborne creature latched onto the walker and grew bio-mass onto the walker’s head. Taking full control of it!

Without hesitation, the walker turned around…and once another walker was in its sight opened fire.

Blasting the side of the other walker’s body, until it violently exploded and collapsed onto the ground. Crushing a light-walker and several Troopers in the process.

From the nearby Imperial base several hundred fighters shot through the sky to engage the hostiles. The roar of their engines echoing about the landscape as they fired on the (enemy) starfighters and the airborne creatures.

Distracting the hostiles long enough for bombers to destroy the compromised walkers.

A little while later a door opened, and the High Master smiled as she looked out into the room.

“Ah good, they haven’t discovered it,” she sighed relieved.

The room was a large, circular, and hollow chamber. Whose curved inwards. Suspended in mid-air, supported by three thick metal poles that reached out (vertically) and connected to the walls was a lone platform.

Sitting in this platform’s center was a pod, which was angled up towards a hole in the ceiling. A beam of light shined inside the chamber upon the pod. Giving it an almost divine glow.

The High Master smiled at the pod, and gently stepped out onto the walkway. Sporting an overjoyed smile on her face as she got closer and closer to the escape pod…

“And where do you think you’re going, “Master”?” a voice whispered into her ear (in an eerie voice)

KSSSK

The High Master’s eyes immediately widened, her brows jumped, and jaw hung slack. Her face contorting into a look of shock, as the lightsaber ignited behind her. Causing her to grunt and flinch in pain.

Winching in pain, she looked down. Staring at the blue blade that stuck out of her chest.

However, she abruptly collapsed onto the walkway as the blade was roughly pulled back out. The High Master gasped as her body slammed against the walkway.

Winching in pain, she laid on the floor. Holding a hoof up to her chest, while her assailant stood over her. Scowling down at its “Master.”

“P-please, h-help m-m-me…B-“ she pleaded, while weakly extending her hoof out towards the assailant.

The assailant, though, just narrowed his eyes. His glare intensifying…yet, he didn’t utter a single word.
Instead, he just smirked and watched as the life drained out of her.

With her final breath, the High Master’s body became still. Laying motionless on the walkway.

After the High Master’s passing, he turned away and trotted back across the walkway. Stepping out into the dark void (with the stairs)

As the former Jedi Knight went before the Sith Lord, a hooded figure entered the chamber with the escape pod in it.
All while the chamber shook from loud explosions going off in the distance. Shaking the platform, and nearly knocking her off it.

She could hear the rumbling as clear as day, but she knew that this escape pod was her only hope.

The walkway swayed more violently…but she intensified her pace. Running towards the pod.

“Hey, stop her!” a voice shouted behind her.

She quickly looked behind her to see multiple Sith Troopers had gathered.

Their blasters raised, they opened fire on her. With a few of them pursuing her across the walkway.

On the wall in the room, a security camera silently watched the Troopers and the unknown figure.

As the Troopers continually fired on the mare, both were oblivious to hordes of strange creatures that emerged from the black abyss, beneath the platform. All of them crawling to high enough vantage points, before they leapt towards the Troopers.

One Trooper heard the creature’s chittering, but only managed to turn his head before it lunged at his chest. Knocking him off the platform, screaming into the darkness, below.

The other Troopers immediately turned their attention to the attackers. Ignoring the mare, as they instead opened fire on the hundreds of creatures that swarmed the chamber.

“W-what are these things!?” a terrified Trooper asked.

The mare quickly looked back over her shoulder, and gasped as she watched strange cephalopod-esque creatures attacked the Imperials.

Her eyes widened, and jaw dropped in awe. Hanging slack in disbelief.

S-she was right! thought the mare.

Her attention snapped back towards the escape pod. Running the last stretch.

As soon as she reached the pod, she quickly opened the viewport casing and jumped inside. Laying down on her back…but as she looked out the window, she gasped and a did a double-take.

Shocked to see that those creatures tore through the Sith Troopers’ armor and violently burrowed themselves in the Troopers’ chests.

The Troopers screamed in agony as their bodies began to mutate; growing fleshy protrusions around their upper bodies, and their right hoof morphed into a long claw-like whip appendage. The Troopers’ head looked to barely hang onto their body, while three antenna-like appendages emerged from where the creatures had burrowed themselves.
Now, those screams of anguish turned into feral growls.

These…creatures, then, looked as if they sensed something and gently turned around. Looking directly at the pod, though, the mare got the feeling that they were looking at her.

Consumed with fear, she quickly closed the pod shut. Hearing it hiss as it became pressurized, before gas steamed from several vents.

She slammed her hoof on the activation button, and the pod’s engines ignited.

The fire startled the mutants and made them growl at the pod as they retreated. Even those small cephalopod-esque creatures quickly scuttled away. Retreating back to that dark void (underneath the platform)

The mare’s started feeling heavier, and against her own will, she lost consciousness. Falling asleep right then and there as the pod lifted off. Flying out through the tunnel all the way towards the surface.

Shooting out from the top of the mountain peak, the pod shot up towards the sky. Penetrating the inner and outer atmospheres.

Once in space, the pod slipped past the fleet.

Evading the many Harrower-class star destroyers, while the massive warships moved closer towards the planet. Assuming various positions in space, before every single turbo laser targeted a specific location on the surface.

Once there enough distance the pod and the fleet, it (the pod)’s engines glowed. Getting brighter and brighter, until it jumped to hyperspace.
Leaving the Sith fleet and Jedi home world behind, just as the many Harrowers opened fire.

Streams upon streams of turbo lasers shot down towards Tython’s surface.

Down on Tython’s surface, the battle raged even now. With the ever-growing horde of mutants and other horrific shapes pouring out of the Jedi’s final stronghold.

They had finally punched a fatal hole in the Imperial’s line that the battle was all but lost…when hundreds upon thousands of turbo laser bolts shot down from the sky towards the militia base.

Giving the as-of-yet un-infected Imperials a final glance at the large pillars of energy and light, before those pillars vaporized the mountain, the mutants, and them!

The mountain (that served as the militia base) disintegrated into thousands of pieces, which blew along the large shockwave that rippled out across the landscape.

The explosion’s incredible heat and the immense power of the shockwave disintegrated everything in its path.

Mutant (or the countless other horrors that emerged from the base) and Imperial perished together. Leaving nothing behind of their existence.

From space, a massive bright light was visible.

During the bombardment, a lone shuttle flew up from Tython’s surface. Heading straight for the command ship.

The shuttle landed in the ship’s hanger, where a squad of Sith Troopers and medical personnel had gathered to tend to the wounded…but as the ramp lowered, their eyes widened and every single one of them gasped in shock and horror at the sight that greeted them…
