The Dragon Child in Equestria

by Dawn Darkness

Chapter 1: 1. The Punching Hero Arrives in Equestria

Author's Notes:

This story comes inspiration from One Punch Man, an anime I am enjoying to watch so far.

In my story, Tristan is like Saitama who wants a good fight. Can you guys give me some opponents for Tristan to face in this 26 chapter story? It'll have to be either strong or weak foes, as I want this to be exciting to write for you.

The dim light of the sun's warmth form shined brightly onto the island of Berk. The sky was as blue as the ocean, with no clouds on it at all.

On the ground, stood a human punching the air for his training. He had a yellow outfit with a white cape hanging from his shoulders down his back. He had slender skin, brown hair, and sapphire blue eyes.

His name was Tristan, a superhero that was raised by extraordinary creatures, the dragons, specifically the two Light Furies that were called Zakuro and Luna. For years, has he lived with the Light Furies as he learned about the dragon lore from them, to his pleasure and comfort from hearing the tales by his adoptive mother.

He knew he was adopted into Zakuro's family, after she showed him the outside world where he presumably was born in, not realizing that he was from an unnamed Earth planet in another dimension. But, he didn't mind at all.

Tristan was currently punching the air, easy creating some gust of wind as he punched the harmless air as a breeze swept by.

The caped hero looked up to the yellow sun for a moment before he breathed out a relaxed sigh as he started to walk for a single step before something odd happened. A bright white light engulfed him before he had time to react as he disappeared into thin air.

Meanwhile...

Twilight was currently walking through the halls of Canterlot's castle, a worried look on her expression as she started to wonder about something that had seemingly caused a disturbance in between the dimensions.

Her friend, Discord, felt that too as he had pondered over the fact of what could possibly had made this happen. So, he appointed Twilight to go see Princess Celestia about this new development.

"You wanted to see me?" the purple alicorn asked as she walked through the doors to the throne room.

The majestic white alicorn looked up from her position as she gave a warm smile to the purple mare.

"Yes, I wanted," Celestia replied as she walked down from her throne. "I've been having these questions about the new disturbance from what Discord felt. So, I wanted to see what had happened by talking with you, Princess Twilight."

Twilight sighed. "Strangely, I hadn't known about who might had caused it," she said. "But, whoever is responsible, is going to have a decent explanation about it."

"I want an explanation too," Celestia agreed. "He or she might not be from around here to cause that to happen."

Twilight pondered for a moment over what they were talking about, before she and Celestia looked out of the window by the right to see an white light illuminating the part of where the Everfree Forest was.

Tristan groaned as he laid in an uncomfortable position right now. He opened his sapphire eyes as he saw his surroundings. He was inside some kind of forest, but he didn't know which he was in.

Just then, he heard hostile growling from behind. Unfazed by the growl, Tristan looked behind him to see a wolf of pile wood and a few others glaring at him for the intrusion.

Great, Tristan thought. Wooden dogs. How wonderful.

One of the Timberwolves charged at Tristan, who dodged the attempted attack effortlessly to the side. Another came charging in afterwards, but Tristan merely punched it in the face, causing the Timberwolf to be destroyed in a swift move. The pack was surprised before growling angrily at the superhero, charging at him once more, however Tristan got more guarded as he literally punched them all into pieces one by one with his attack, Consecutive Normal Punch.

Tristan stood there, not looking worried for a moment at what had happened as he was unfazed by what he'd done to the wooden wolves.

Looking around, Tristan began to wonder how he'll get out of the forest before he went into the air for a moment to look where he was. The environment was a bit colorful for a world he had never been to. But, there was a town north from where he was, which was luck.

I'll try that town, he decided as he landed on the ground again as he began to walk to where he looked at, towards the town.

Twilight was now back in Ponyville after her small chat with Celestia, thinking what could've cause the disturbance would be near her town.

As she walked through the streets of Ponyville, Twilight was met with her five friends and assistant, who looked anxious for some reason.

"Hey, Twilight," Rainbow greeted. "How'd it go?"

"It went alright," the alicorn responded back.

"Who was the one who came here?" Rarity asked, as Spike grunted as he relaxed.

"We don't know yet, Rarity," Twilight sighed. "Whoever had done that, will mostly not be far off as of now."

"Gee, I wonder how you would've guess," a gleeful voice began as the Draconequus, Discord, appeared in a flash of light in front of the purple mare.

"Discord," Twilight said in exasperation. "How do you know this disturbance?"

"I'm the spirit of chaos, after all," Discord replied, shrugging. "It's just my natural ability to sense something like this in a time like now."

"Uh-huh," Twilight huffed. "Anyway, we should be getting to the castle, and possibly wait for the one that had come to this land."

"Good idea," Pinkie chided. "Maybe I can throw him a party!"

"How'd you know it's a him?" Twilight tilted her head to the side.

"A hunch," the party-goer answered simply, before the group started to walk to the Castle of Friendship as they continued their way to the throne room.

Tristan was walking out of the rather dark forest as the caped hero sighed in relief as soon as he got out. He looked over the landscape, seeing that the town was much closer now than when he was in the forest.

Tristan suddenly stopped once he felt an energy source growing from the skies above. He looked up as he narrowed his sapphire eyes at the harmless sky.

Coming out of the sky, was a mysterious being that looked like a villain to the caped hero. Tristan smirked in pleasure as he finally got somewhat of a challenge as the monster got straight down towards him, as a smoking explosion occurred when the being hit Tristan in the face, alerting the citizens of the town by this turn of development.

Twilight's eyes widened in shock as she noticed the villain had hit something in the distance of the town towards the Everfree Forest. Hopefully, the being wasn't hurt by the monster.

Suddenly, a white caped, relative tall man sprung up from the crater that he had been in, and punched the villain in the face, causing it to fall backwards for a good couple of meters.

"Hey, who's that?" the Draconequus asked in wonder. "Never seen that fella before."

"Neither has we," the Mane Six responded in unison.

Back at the battle, the caped man punched the villain again as the monster punched in return just as the two fought continuously against each other as a speedy line was behind them as they fought.

Tristan continued to punch the monster, but the villain managed to block the attack, surprising the hero by a small length. Tristan punched continuously the villain as the monster retaliated back with as many punches as possible at the white caped hero.

Suddenly, Tristan's fist readied as he began to yell, "Consecutive Normal Punches!" He punched the villain many times before the monster exploded by the attacks it had received from Tristan.

The white caped man just looked at where the destroyed villain was, clearly not happy with the result from his attack.

"Damn!" He cursed. "Why is there not a challenge to me?! Why, why, why?!" He was so frustrated that he punched an harmless tree into pieces but he could care less about it from his frustration.

The Mane Six, Discord and the ponies just stared at him in confusion and curiosity as he was clearly angry about something.

Twilight suddenly realized, this must be the one who made he disturbance. For one thing, he wasn't from anywhere in this world, so he must be from another world.

"Hey!" she called to him, as he calmed down his frustration. Tristan looked at the alicorn in a questionably expression. "Who are you, where did you come from, and why are you here?!"

Sighing to calm his temper, Tristan began to explain to the alicorn. "My name is Tristan, a hero, and I come from a hidden realm in my homeworld, and I have no intention to cause damage to yours, as I've gotten zero clue how I got here." He told them in a short explanation.

Twilight guessed he was probably just confused. This...Tristan character...he was no ordinary hero for defeating that villain.

"Hey!" Pinkie chirped as she hopped relative close to the caped human. "What are you doing for having such amazing strength and power? I need to know!" She gave him a huge smile, making him rather uncomfortable.

"Training, for three years," Tristan replied steadily. "While still having my family with me, I've trained for at least three years to be this strong. It's just natural. One hundred push-ups, one hundred sit-ups, a ten kilometer run per day, and eat at least three meals a day."

Pinkie's expression dropped a little. "But, that's just a normal training session."

Tristan smirked gleefully. "Sorry, but you're not getting my secret out. Not by a long shot."

"Aw," Pinkie hung her head.

"Tell me, sugarcube," Applejack started. "How did you beat that villain? He was no ordinary to me."

"No clue, honestly," Tristan said. "He must had gotten out of that...vortex or something from coming here to fight me."

After a while of more conversation, the ponies and human, who decided to stick around for a while, walked back to the castle.

Twilight just hopes that, Celestia might be able to give Tristan a room in Equestria...
