Author's Notes:

Hey you all, this is an unfortunate chapter! The next one will be a little bit better but not by much. Tell me what you think of the chapter art! Also like always hope to hear your feedback, and uh, I do not know what else to say hahaha! Have fun reading the chapter!

Luna laid on the ground, twitching and gasping for air as Pinkamena stood over her with no expression at all. Pinkamena's mouth was covered in patches of severed pieces of blue fur, as her warm breath puffed out steam from her blood-died fangs. Her hooves were covered in the markings of their one-sided fight, Luna did not fight back... she couldn't... not even if she tried, Pinkamena was her friend! Ice formed around the room, along with blazes of green fire... no element was unable to be wielded by Pinkamena!

"Please Pinkamena... The Tree is using you! Listen to your friend! No pony will be able to stop you, you have to.... you have to fight back!"

Pinkamena stepped on Luna's ribs, her eyes unwavering as Luna laid her head down in defeat. The controlled pony lowered her fangs, before opening her jaws.

Luna couldn't think properly as something spilled out from her body, with her heart freezing from fear! Pinkamena lifted her head, as Luna's wings flapped uselessly under the pinning of her friend. The trail of milky spectral light flowed into Pinkamena's mouth before the colors of Luna's coat became gravely dull. Luna's eyes became grey, and her body stiff before her mane grew still and her body laid unresponsive on the ice that Pinkamena had summoned.

Luna's body turned into a white light before being sucked into Pinkamena's body, leaving nothing left.

Pinkamena became still and unresponsive before a voice commanded her once more.

Free Celestia.

With one swipe of her claws, the bars shattered in millions of pieces. Pinkamena walked on the shards before approaching Celestia who was not awake. Pinkamena brought down her muzzle, before nudging Celestia gently but the princess was still unable to awaken.

Use your Black Magic to suck the lifeforce from Luna's soul and give it to Celestia.

Pinkamena obeyed, as her hoof turned a sickly red color and touched Celestia's body. She was emotionless as Luna's life was sucked from her reaped soul and given to the enemy she despised. The thin crown on her head writhed as it constricted her skull in excitement while waiting for Celestia's wounds to heal. The gashes and war wounds she had gathered from battle sealed themselves, she was not precisely healing Celestia... well at least not without a price to pay.

That poor price was being paid by Luna, whose own soul was being used to repair another.

Celestia murmured before her eyes fluttered open. She groaned, slowly picking up her head and touching the un-repaired horn on her head. It fizzled with magical energy but still remained broken and useless from her last encounter with Pinkamena. Once her eyes adjusted and she saw the glazed over green and red look of the drone in front of her, she became fearful but at the same time intrigued!

Her mane started to flow freely once more, as she stared at the unmoving gaze of Pinkamena.

"She will not hurt you Celestia... our plan worked splendidly."

The princess touched Pinkamena's cheek, revealing her relaxed jaws and settled fangs. Pinkamena was as still as an oak tree, without one muscle daring to disobey the roots of crowns on her head! The purple gem within the crown softly shined within the silent prison that held Celestia, as the princess examined the warrior.

"How do you know she will not break free? I have never seen such a strong-minded individual before." Celestia asked the Tree of Harmony as it laughed heartily.

"Pinkamena is not strong-minded, just stubborn! Enough questions Celestia, I have given you a lapdog... I remember you asking a few years ago for a pet!"

Celestia lifted up Pinkamena's chin, looking at her all over before letting her head fall back into place. "Yes, she will do quite nicely... what do you wish for me to do with her?"

"Use her to your advantage to win the war, wipe out her friends... so that there is no force left to fight against."

Celestia nodded, "As you wish Tree of Harmony." The princess then looked towards Pinkamena's flowing purple trail coming from her eyes. "Come with me."

Pinkamena obeyed without a sound, trailing behind the princess prepared to aid her in further bloodshed. The controlled mare's hooves stomped on the game controller that Luna recently used crushing it beneath her unknowingly; as she numbly followed Celestia out from the prison that Pinkamena had put her in.

Pinkie Pie's heart ached with worries as her hooves brought her closer to the sobbing and choking voices of the ones she loved. They didn't understand like she did... what if they were too corrupted by their opinions on Celestia to believe her? Pinkamena needed their help, and Pinkie Pie couldn't fail her... but her friends, what if they didn't want to talk to her? They must be hurt, confused and scared... she didn't know what she would say when she approached them either!

She wiped the stray tears from her cheeks, how could Pinkamena make her promise something like that? She had made Pinkie promise to kill her, take her life... h-how... how was she supposed to do that? She loves Pinkamena, she couldn't ever dream about hurting her... but now, if she gets out of control... she has to kill her!

No... Pinkamena must be overreacting, it would never get to that point! She was the strongest pony in Equestria, and Pinkie Pie could bring her out of her state no problem! She hoped... but, Pinkamena's Black Magic wouldn't ever hurt her... she swears on it! Her twin wouldn't ever hurt Pinkie Pie, never... they were too close!

Pinkie Pie swallowed the massive lump in her throat, as her weakened legs wobbled when taking her into the chambers within the hive. She heard her best friend's cries, Dashie... the most. She was screaming at the top of her lungs, curses... and angry questions that no pony could answer.

Slam!

She heard something throw its body against the cage they were in, before crying out in severe pain!

"Rainbow Dash you have to stop... you've been doing this for hours! Your shoulder is already dislocated from trying to bust out! We have to put our heads together and figure-"

"NO! I won't stop!" The voice screamed. Every pony became silent, and Pinkie Pie held her breath by the entrance listening intensely as Dash choked while trying to gather her voice. "T-That... That monster took away Pinkie... I...I c-can't stop until... until I force her to bring her back!"

The raspy voice of a certain griffon spoke next. "Rainbow Dash! Your friends may not want to tell you this, but you have to calm down! Pinkie Pie is gone... she.... she isn't coming back! No pony in the history of Equestria can bring back the dead... you have to believe me, and help Twilight figure out how to bust out-"

"Shut UP Gilda!" Rainbow yelled, making Pinkie Pie flinch.

The soft sobs came back, as Pinkie brought forth enough courage to peek. Rainbow Dash had her head against the bars, her hooves clutching them so hard they were cracking! She was panting her shoulders red, bleeding, and caved in... while her bent and dirty wings clamped themselves to her sides. Her muzzle was snotty, and her eyes raw and puffy... it was the most horrific state she had ever seen Dashie in!

Pinkie Pie felt her heart bleed at the sight of her upset and crying friends, as Rainbow Dash finally spoke.

"She.... meant everything to me... to Ponyville... to all of us... and... the last time I spoke to her, the real her... I yelled at her... I was mad at her... and I can't ever take my words back! Do you have ANY idea what my pain feels like?!"

Pinkie Pie started to back away, she couldn't approach them...

Pinkamena's voice came back into her mind with the encouragement she gave her earlier. "Like Pinkie Pie, she went against a foe knowing she would lose just because she wanted to avenge you. If that doesn't show how much she cares, I don't know what will."

The anxiety of facing her friends was overlooked, they were so hurt... and suffering from pain! Pinkie Pie wanted to make them smile again, she hated seeing Rainbow Dash this way!

Pinkie Pie took a deep breath, before revealing herself to the huddled group in their cell. She felt the eyes slowly pick up on her figure, and the whispers stop as the light of the crystals exposed her. She didn't know what to say, her tongue was in knots as Rainbow Dash's head slowly picked itself up.

Her eyes locked with Pinkie's and time seemed to stop.

A single tear fell from Rainbow Dash's eye, as her lip quivered when looking at the mare in front of her. Pinkie Pie gave a soft smile, while the group tried to form words to speak.. but failed miserably.

Suddenly the shocked expression Rainbow Dash had melted away, and a wild and murderous look devoured the beautiful rose irises that Pinkie Pie loved to look into to feel safe. Her body slammed itself against the bars, as she reached out a hoof with dangerously clenched teeth and howls of rage!

"YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY PINKAMENA? I'll KILL YOU!!"

Her screech caused Pinkie Pie to stumble back, as her hoof desperately tried to grab her! The forelimb reaching out from the bars wanted so badly to snatch Pinkie and rip her apart!

"HOW DARE YOU LOOK AT ME like... HER! WHY, WHY would you take her away from ME!"

Gilda tried to pry Rainbow Dash off the bars, but her iron grip on them kept her still! Pinkie Pie felt herself crying as she watched Rainbow Dash's focus waver from the tears pricking her eyes. Twilight and Applejack tried to pull the Pegasus away from the cell door, but Rainbow Dash continued to scream and kept trying to reach the unreachable.

Pinkie Pie's voice was tiny and shattered as she tried to plead with her friend, "Dashie... it is really me! I-I was never dead... Celestia.. she lied to you! All we have known is a lie!"

"DON'T you DARE call me that! You took away my best friend, you MURDERED our princess... almost killed my remaining friends... YOU have BROKEN me! W-What more do you want PINKAMENA!?"

Twilight glared at Pinkie Pie, "You've caused enough phycological damage on Rainbow... on all of us actually! Why are you here? Do you want to gloat...? Take our magic... kill us perhaps? We will stop you, and if not us... some pony will!"

Fluttershy was hiding in Rarity's arms as the yellow Pegasus let her voice be heard. "You... are a monster that not even the most evil of nightmares can create!"

"Listen... I am Pinkie Pie... ask me any question, I know you all by heart! I love you guys... but you have to listen to me and understand Pinkamena isn't the evil one-"

"SHUT UP, SHUT UP, SHUT UP! Stop using HER voice! STOP playing with US! I... I can't do this... I can't... I can't take IT!" Rainbow Dash yelled almost blowing out her voice... as her grip on the bars weakened.

The sobbing Pegasus dropped onto the ground hugging her body as she trembled; finally giving into the darkness awaiting her. The heaping pile of a tear-soaked Rainbow Dash was extremely painful to watch so much so... she was being drawn towards the door. Gilda stroked her friend's back, as the mare approached them.

The hive seemed to recognize Pinkie Pie and obeyed her thoughts as she strained to open the crystals locking them within the prison. Chrysalis must have known Pinkie would be freed at some point and allowed the hive to react to her commands as the crystals shied away from her touch. With crunches and shatters the crystals weakened their hold on her friends, and soon enough a wide opening was revealed to where there was nothing in-between Pinkie Pie and her beloved Dashie.

Pinkie Pie had a bad feeling about freeing her friends in a hostile state, but she couldn't watch anymore! She wanted to cuddle them and whisper to them that everything was okay... Celestia was defeated, and Pinkamena would soon get rid of the bad magic within them! Before she could open her lips to speak, Rainbow Dash recovered from her state once again being overwhelmed with her emotions and rage!

Dash's hoof slammed into her chest, before hooking around her throat! Pinkie Pie crashed on her back, her heart beating frantically as the Pegasus pressed against her esophagus with all her remaining strength! She's going to kill her! Pinkie looked into the eyes that had shed so many tears for her, as Rainbow's sobbing caused her forelimbs to tremble.. and her grip to not be very secure.

Any pony could break out of her grip, easily... but for some reason.. Pinkamena stayed. Why was she allowing this? Did she want her to kill her? Pinkamena was an evil... horrible tyrant! Turning into Pinkie Pie, the sweetest and most genuine pony she knew... and she was going to make a mess of her for just thinking she could be some pony like Pinkie!

I am going to tear out those beautiful blue eyes that helped keep me sane all these years... and then dull that coat that made every pony's world go round from pink colors with your blood Pinkamena! You don't deserve to wield those wonderful features Pinkie Pie had... I won't allow it!

Pinkamena looked at her with so much care it made Rainbow Dash sick! She felt light-headed, unable to hear the calls of her friends behind her as she tightened her grip on the warlord's throat!

Why... Why is she looking at me like that? It's too painful to see her look so much like Pinkie Pie... It hurt so... so bad! Those eyes, so careful and loving... how can she have the stomach to pretend and play me like this? Can she not see... I can't take anymore?! My sanity is gone... everything I've feared has come true... and I can't ever SEE her again!

Rainbow Dash could feel Pinkamena struggling to breathe, but she still remained still and looked into her eyes with the love that only Pinkie Pie could give.

STOP... please I am begging you Pinkamena! I'll never be able to get this look out of my head, it will haunt me for the rest of my days! This game you are playing, you've won! What do you want from me? I have cried myself dry, yet rivers still keep coming down my cheeks! I am weak, exposed, and defeated... yet you still try and strike! You took away a life that can never be replaced... it's all my fault if I would have acted on my gut... I could have STOPPED you! I could have saved my best friend, from YOU!

Her tears dripped on Pinkamena's face, as the enemy she hated with every ounce of flesh she had started to cry as well! Then when the mare spoke, Rainbow Dash couldn't bear to hear Pinkie's voice!

"Dashie... it's me... please, stop crying... I can't see you like this... I care so much for you."

Everything in her voice was perfect... even woven with emotions... like this monster could ever feel anything! It's like my heart is being ripped open by the claws Pinkamena wore once more... she even called me Dashie! No pony calls me that! No pony other than Pinkie Pie, this is sickening.... morbid, I... I don't know if I have to strength to finish her off... I hate her so much, but she has drained me of everything I have!

Rainbow Dash tried to crush the throat of the foe beneath her, but her grip was as pathetic as a newborn foal!

"Dash wait..." Twilight said softly as she approached the Pegasus sobbing messily while trying desperately to finish off the enemy she loathed!

Her teeth were clenched, her jaws screaming with pain as she looked into the sky blue eyes she had come to need over the years.

Her eyes remind me of the softest skies I could ever hope to fly in, reminding me of the first time I touched the clouds. Even though these aren't Pinkie Pie's eyes, the resemblance is uncanny... perfectly synced as if it really were her! Her voice still gives me shivers even though her words are of lies! Pinkamena truly is an evil pony, messing with what was left of my head like this... I will never be able to get her scent out of my nose, the feel of her fur from under my hoof.. and I will forever be tainted, unable to move on!

Suddenly Pinkamena's hoof came up, freezing Rainbow Dash's body! Here she goes... to murder me like she did with Pinkie Pie... at least, the pain will be gone... and I will see her again.

But no pain came, no Black Magic tearing at her body again... or fangs mashing together on her wings. Instead, a gentle hoof rested on her cheek, wiping the stream of tears dripping down her chin. The warmth of the pinned mare's touch couldn't be copied, it couldn't be practiced... no pony could be so loving and gentle!

Rainbow Dash stumbled back, kicking herself away from Pinkamena before hitting the bars with her back! Her eyes were wide still feeling how caring the hoof to her cheek was, making her face buzz with the familiar warmth she craved. Pinkamena slowly picked herself up, under the watchful eye of Twilight as she cowered under their glares while making her way over to the mentally torn husk of Dash.

Pinkamena didn't hesitate to approach her, even though Rainbow Dash put up her hooves in a weak defense. Her eyes were now flowing as she shielded her body. "Please... Stop! Stop with this torture... just kill me! I beg you, please... stop playing with me, PLEASE! I can't... I can't take anymore!"

Applejack got ready to pry Pinkamena off of Rainbow Dash, but something told her to hold back. She watched as Pinkamena carefully lowered Rainbow's forelimbs, before pulling her into a soft and affectionate embrace. Dash tried to pull away, but Pinkamena held on... before gently stroking the back of her head and her tangled mane.

No... No pony can make me feel so safe... and loved! She isn't pretending, she couldn't be! The warmth from her fur, and the way she fits so perfectly in my chest... can't be rivaled! Pinkie Pie... is it truly you?

"Dashie... it's me, please believe me." Pinkie Pie said softly, nuzzling her nose into the trembling shoulder of her best friend.

Rainbow Dash suddenly grabbed Pinkie Pie's back and threw her head into her chest, before releasing the last of the sobs she kept contained out. Her wings drooped, as she clutched Pinkie Pie with all the strength she had! I will never let go, not again... I won't let anything happen to her.. I can't... I can't believe she's really here!

Fluttershy burst from the cell before throwing her hooves around Pinkie Pie and sobbing along with Rainbow. Rarity and Applejack came next and lastly Gilda, before hugging the group and releasing terrified, and relieved cries. Pinkie Pie was tangled within the mess of manes and hooves wrapped around her body, but feeling their warmth and tight grip made her snuggle within them and sigh contently.

"I am not convinced yet," Twilight said. Her friends parted as her horn started to softly glow with gentle magic as she approached Pinkie Pie with a concerned face. "Pinkie Pie, do you mind if I tap into your memories? I need to make sure you aren't brainwashed... after all what you are claiming seems a bit off."

"This IS Pinkie Pie Twilight, and she isn't brainwashed! I believe her!" Rainbow Dash said as she protected Pinkie with her spread wing even though she was not thinking correctly.

"Rainbow, I know you are emotionally unstable.. but you have to understand, Pinkamena is one of the most powerful ponies that has ever lived! She could have Pinkie Pie under a spell, you saw how crazy she was back there didn't you?" Twilight replied gently, easing Rainbow's wing off of Pinkie even though the Pegasus glared at her.

"Oh my... Pinkie Pie being brainwashed? Oh no, no, no... we have to help her!" Fluttershy said fearfully before she was hushed softly by Applejack.

"She doesn't look brainwashed to me!" Gilda snorted.

"I'm not brainwashed goofball! Just really, really hungry... I could go for some cookies and warm milk right about now!" Pinkie Pie said, licking her lips dreamily as she panted with the vision of something delicious in her mind.

"Well we will just see about that, magic can alter the brain... but no magic in the history of Equestria can change core memories. This trick was used a long time ago to determine whether a pony was under dark magic, and the caster would see everything that has happened in a pony's life within minutes!"

"Uh Twi, that seems rather personal. 'Ah guess you would be 'doin it for safety reasons 'an all but lookin into another pony's memories seems a bit harsh." Applejack said.

"Yeah not to mention that Pinkie Pie... is well, Pinkie Pie. She can't really be brainwashed." Rainbow Dash said motioning towards Pinkie Pie who was getting distracted by a light on the wall.

Rarity cleared her throat. "Yes, but remember girls this is war. Pinkamena just took down Celestia, she could be playing with us... trying to gain information by using poor Pinkie Pie."

Pinkie Pie's ears laid themselves back, "Pinkamena isn't a bad pony she's really nice! She just was controlled by her Black Magic, and couldn't stop herself from going cuckoo! I mean reaaaaally cuckoo! She's actually a bit of a sweetheart once you give her some apple cider, just don't play truth or dare with her... she cheats big time!"

"This is what I mean girls, Pinkie Pie is convinced Pinkamena is not evil! We need to tap into her memories and see why she thinks this! it's because she's brainwashed!" Twilight shouted, flapping her wings to make a point.

"Pffft, silly Twilight! If I were brainwashed, I would be acting really weird!"

"You ARE acting weird Pinkie!" Twilight said after taking a deep breath.

"It does seem odd that she would be on Pinkamena's side after what she did to Rainbow Dash and Celestia, I-I mean... if that makes sense," Fluttershy added.

Pinkie Pie gasped. "She healed you all, well... not her, but Sombra! How could you doubt me, I wouldn't ever lie to you! I would be a big party pooper if I were a liar, just imagine if I lied about the expiration dates for pies!"

Applejack shook her head. "She is in 'ah league of villains."

"You all are so stubborn! Look, Pinkamena has been trying to destroy the baddie Tree of Harmony so it wouldn't take out other villages like it did to hers! Celestia is being controlled like those fun sock puppets by the Tree of Harmony, and Pinkamena and Cozy Glow are taking Equestria's magic so that everything doesn't go kaboom!"

Pinkie Pie blew up her hooves to empathize her drama, before looking at the group who didn't seem convinced.

"Pinks I love you and all, and I am super glad you aren't harmed... but the Tree of Harmony is kind of the reason Equestria isn't taken over by Nightmare Moon." Rainbow Dash said rubbing her shoulder gently now starting to realize how crazy Pinkie sounded.

"Oh and don't forget Discord," Rarity added.

"-And Tirek," Fluttershy said.

"No! The Elements did that, not the Tree of Harmony! You don't understand what I am trying to say, Pinkamena is the knight in icing armor here! Celestia has been lying to us, and has been a big raisin cookie pretending to be chocolate chip!" Pinkie Pie yelled, shaking Rainbow's shoulders and making her neck grow sore.

"Alright Pinkie Pie, this won't hurt... I am just going to try and understand why you think this way." Twilight said encouraging her friends to allow her to approach Pinkie Pie. Rainbow didn't seem to fond of this, as she huddled closer to the friend she was reunited with at last.

"I don't know Twilight... are you sure it won't hurt her?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Don't worry Dashie, if Twilight needs to look into my brain of wonders go ahead! I have nothing to hide, except the time I licked Fluttershy's birthday cake and tried to cover it up with extra icing.... oh, oops! Forget I said that, I seriously have nothing to hide like the time I dropped Twilight's mint condition copy of-"

Rainbow Dash covered Pinkie's mouth with her hoof, "We get it Pinkie Pie... just stop, for your sake."

Twilight sighed when looking into the cerulean eyes of Pinkie Pie, as she just peered up at her with a smile. The Alicorn's horn gently touched Pinkie's forehead, as Twilight closed her eyes along with Pinkie. The two's faces relaxed, and suddenly was overtaken by a white light that spread across their eyelids.

"Ah hope Twilight can figure this out." Applejack said as she watched the magic envelope both of her silent friends.

Twilight fell from a portal opened up below her, as she slammed onto something soft and squishy. She cried out in pain as the lump of fur beneath her giggled happily before snuggling on the soft grass. Twilight moved off of Pinkie Pie, by sliding off of her and sitting her rump on the grass under the clear sky.

"Where are we Twilight? The rock farm, ooo, ooo, are we in Ponyville?" Pinkie Pie said with a bounce as Twilight rubbed her head in confusion.

"I.... I don't know... these houses, they are using a technique that has been discontinued for centuries now. Look at how the pillars holding up the roof are not very well sanded like the tools used were not very efficient. This is strange... like we've stepped into a village built in the past."

Pinkie Pie cocked her head before taking in the view. The streets were dirt roads, with ponies carrying wooden carts that seemed ancient! The houses were carefully built but by hoof, leaving many cobblestone bases a little unfinished but it had a cute little aura to it! Pinkie Pie turned to see a massive wooden drawbridge behind them, and several dozen feet tall walls surrounding the small village they were in!

"Huh weird, I don't remember ever seeing a castle like that before!" Pinkie Pie said happily, pointing towards a sizeable looming castle in the side of a mountain.

"This doesn't make sense... even if you were brainwashed, memories can't be altered. Even if I didn't believe you, I know for a fact that the castle in front of us doesn't exist in Equestria!" Twilight said breathlessly.

Suddenly they heard a scream and a whimper! Twilight was too intrigued to see Pinkie Pie bouncing over to an alleyway created by two large houses until the corner of her eyes caught something bright bursting from a residence. Twilight gasped when she saw flames and heard Pinkie's shouts, and without thinking ran to aid her in whatever she was facing!

When her body reached the side of the two houses, she saw Pinkie Pie tumbling into the dirt every time she tried to separate three shadow-like ponies scuffling in the dark. Pinkie continued to get up, but her body just went through them like she was never there. Twilight ran over to her and picked her up, as the party pony panted angrily.

"Those meanies are picking on that poor colt! He's just a baby! Poor little guy!"

Twilight soothed her by stroking her mane. "This is a memory we have no control here. I just don't understand how you don't remember any of this... in fact, I haven't heard you mention a place like this ever!"

The two larger shadows ganged up on a small and beat up little colt, hugging his knees and shaking. His small red and black hair in his mane was moving... like flames! They were bright as they flickered in the alleyway, reflecting the black and white bullies coming towards him! Twilight hummed in confusion, what kind of creatures were these? She has never seen anything like them in her life!

The small creature that looked pony-like bit his lip with his upper fangs, as his ears laid against his lowered horns.

"You are such a loser, hanging out with that nerd friend of yours! She is terrible at the magic she tries so desperately to learn!" One of the larger creatures cackled.

"S-She's m...my b-best f-friend... I'll help h-her learn!" He stuttered, wiping the blood from his nose.

"Look! A demon that stutters! You are so weak... pathetic really! Everglade thrives off of the power we give them, and here you are not able to even defend yourself!"

Pinkie Pie growled at their insults, but Twilight held her back. The purple princess was shocked! They spoke of demons like it was something normal!

"Demons.... what.... but they don't walk around Equestria freely... this is not your memory Pinkie Pie.. it can't be!"

The demons closed in on the smaller one as the poor colt hid his face! Suddenly a gruff but shy filly voice rang from behind the two ponies trapped within a mysterious memory.

"Hey, Tweedle Dumb and Tweedle Derp!" The voice shouted as the figure came into the alleyway.

"No way..." Pinkie Pie said, as Twilight locked onto those vicious red eyes she thought she knew.

The filly looked to be in her teens, with a straight pink mane tied up in a messy ponytail. A book was being levitated in front of her nose, with thick librarian-like glasses settled on her muzzle. Her bangs were messy, and her tail died with streaks of black along with her mane. She had a goth-like style, with dark eyeliner and painted tattoos along her flank of black designs. Her tail was curled and dragged along her as her balance scale Cutie Mark caused Pinkie Pie to point and hyperventilate!

"Oh hello Pinkamena, are you here to save Shadowbound by cutting me with your edge?" One of the demons laughed, as he slapped the ground and howled with laughter.

"Ya know... that's a good idea, don't tempt me Mythic Shadow!" Pinkamena said. Strolling over to the demons while burying her muzzle into her book and muttering a few things to herself.

Mythic Shadow slapped the book out of the green veil holding it in place, before stomping on it. He laughed as Pinkamena rolled her eyes and pushed up her glasses.

"Looks like that book about guys was the only attention you would ever get out of a stallion, too bad you aren't popular enough to even be noticed by any of us!" Mythic Shadow chuckled, elbowing his friend.

"Well," Pinkamena began picking up the smashed book with her magic. "If you would have given me a minute to explain why I was reading it, the features could have helped you out. I have heard some whispers around Everglade that you aren't very large for a demon... so I picked up this book on biology and gee... I think they are right! I'd say for a demon your size... mmmm, exactly four point three inches short of the norm."

"E-Excuse me? What did you say you little-"

Pinkamena leaned lower and looked under the demon, "Yeah... I don't think you are developing properly... are you eating protein? I also heard your... ahem... count was low as well... it really is concerning!"

Twilight snickered, before looking at Pinkie Pie who was transfixed on Pinkamena.

"You little jerk, I will pound you flat! You scrawny little sack of bones!" Mythic Shadow yelled.

"Oh sure... focus on the muscles that are on your legs, not the one in between your legs that REALLY matters. Oh, and spoiler alert, the ones on your body aren't much bigger than the pencil of un-satisfaction you have."

Mythic Shadow pressed his nose against Pinkamena's muzzle, but she just gave a taunting smile. "Say one more word, I dare you!"

Pinkamena licked her lips and smiled. "Word."

He took a swing, but she dodged, and his anger and overwhelming strength sent him flying! He crashed into trashcans made of wood, as stinky garbage spilled all over his pelt. Pinkamena burst out laughing, but ran over to the small demon and helped him up quickly. She tugged him to his hooves, and galloped out of the ally howling with laughter as Mythic Shadow screamed at his friend to go after her!

Twilight and Pinkie Pie got ready to run after her, but instead, the scene around them melted!

"Twilight what's happening?" Pinkie Pie asked frantically as her hooves touched nothing but darkness!

"I think we are going into another memory!" Twilight shouted as everything swirled around them.

When their bodies were sucked into a vortex and spit out into another scenery, they both landed on top of each other on a hard wooden floor. Pinkie Pie yelled out in pain, only to have Twilight carefully roll off of her and thump on the oak flooring. When their vision rid itself of the fuzziness, they saw Pinkamena buried in a mountain of books and mouthing the words she read on a certain one.

The demon she had saved earlier in a recent memory sat beside her with his wounds patched up and tapping his hoof on the ground in boredom.

"Pinkamena.... please?"

"No Shadowbound, an Alicorn visiting our kingdom means nothing to me... we aren't going to skip my study time to go grovel like every pony else!"

Shadowbound flipped on his back, his red and black flames tickling the books but not burning them. "But... But it's Princess Celestia, an Alicorn! They are like super, super, super rare!"

Pinkamena gave him an annoyed look. "I don't CARE, my trials are coming up soon, and my Black Magic still sucks griffon COCK!"

Shadowbound jumped at her sudden outburst, causing him to burn a few books in surprise! "P-Pinkamena what in Lucifer's name-"

Pinkamena giggled, "I mean it's true... sorry for being so vulgar. I am just really frustrated, okay?"

Shadowbound noticed her frustrated look and decided to comfort her. He nuzzled her chin, only to have her push him off and growl.

"God... you are a sappy little fledgling! Gross, don't ever do that again!"

Pinkamena's black and pink mane fell over her face, and she melted back into her studies. The room was silent until Shadowbound spoke up again.

"At least you should have gone with your father to speak with Celestia. You ARE the princess of Everglade you know, meant to rule us all at some point! So you do have to participate in royal duties like talking to a freaking Alicorn when they show UP!"

Pinkamena threw the book at Shadowbound messing up his crimson fur, "I can't even produce Black Magic enough to where it can be powerful! The ritual where I become one with the power of Lucifer is only one day away, and all I can do is pick up a BOOK! I can't use it for destruction, or regeneration... or... or transformation... I don't know what's wrong with me! How can I rule an... an... entire kingdom that lives off of BLACK MAGIC, when I cannot even do it myself!"

Shadowbound frowned before replying. "It... It takes time, I promised your mother, Hazel Moon, I would teach you. If it takes all night, we will figure it out... every other pony has done it..."

Pinkamena sighed loudly. "Exactly! EVERY other pony, except me. Why can't I? Why am I different, I have the correct bloodlines.. the right teachers, a demon soul-bound to me forever... but I still can't DO IT!" Pinkamena threw her head into the book pile with a defeated growl. "Why is my life so... so... ugh."

Shadowbound tapped his chin.

He seemed to be thinking, as Pinkie Pie looked over to Twilight. "Wowie, I thought Pinkamena was always good at Black Magic... this doesn't seem like her at all!"

Twilight remained silent, as the demon suddenly burst from his seat on the floor and tugged Pinkamena's mane.

"Hey... Hey Pinkamena!" Shadowbound whispered excitedly as the slug beneath him just murmured from her depression not willing to sit up. "W-What if I prove to you that one day you will be powerful like every pony else!"

Pinkamena's red eyes peeked through her mane, "Yeah good luck… let me die here and suffocate from my failure as a lifeform."

"Oh hush Pinkamena! Look, I am a demon and have supernatural abilities! I'll use my power to look into your future, and tell you how you become powerful! It is bound to happen eventually, so we just see what techniques the future you used... and then speed up the process in the present!"

Pinkamena raised an eyebrow, "I don't know if you remember or not, but using your power to affect the present is forbidden. It's demon law to not mettle with mortal lives, and if they find out... I don't know what would happen to you."

"They won't find out!"

"And if they do?"

"Then I'll tell them your future was worth it!"

Pinkamena quickly turned her head, hiding a creeping blush as Shadowbound beamed at her. The two remained very, very quiet as Pinkamena turned her body away from him and muttered something.

"What?" Shadowbound asked.

She muttered something again, which he didn't hear.

"Pinkamena come on... speak up."

"I JUST said be careful okay... you are my only friend, I would hate to have you banished or something."

He nodded, and suddenly Twilight and Pinkie Pie were ripped from the second memory and sucked into the third. Pinkie Pie was laughing suddenly enjoying the feeling of being sucked into a vortex of mystery as Twilight felt sick after riding this roller-coaster for the third time! The princess held her mouth as her body fell into another memory this time carefully avoiding landing on poor Pinkie Pie.

Twilight was suddenly in a garden, with Pinkamena thrusting her hoof forward towards a blossoming tree. Pinkie Pie was held back from running over and hugging Pinkamena by Twilight as they patiently watched.

"Come ON wither and die stupid flowery tree!" Pinkamena yelled as a tiny green light lit the tip of her hoof. The Tree didn't move, as she stood up and tried to put more power into her Black Magic.... but the flowers didn't move. "AH Unicorn COCK! Why... Why am I so obsessed with them today... I really, really, need to get laid! Sixteen and never even gotten as far as one date, sheesh it's like I am the plague to them!"

Pinkamena pouted by sticking out her lip, but before she could practice again... she heard something fumbling towards her in the dead of night.

She looked behind her to see some shadow-like creature running towards her!

"What... What in the world!" Pinkamena shouted, as the bloodied creature stopped before her and panted.

"Pinkamena! P-Pinkamena w-we... we... we..." He said with a shrill and petrified voice!

"Woah Shadowbound...? What... what happened? Your pelt... it's black... and your flames.... they are grey!! What..."

"Pinkamena... RUN... RUN get out of here, NOW... RUN!! N-No.... time... future... I saw...!" Shadowbound suddenly threw Pinkamena on his back as her hooves slid on his fur slick with wounds! "Celestia... a Tree of Harmony... WAR... devastation!"

Shadowbound had tears streaming down his cheeks as he ran with so much force, Pinkie Pie and Twilight could hardly keep up! Pinkamena was hanging on for dear life, as she tried to gain his attention with worry in her voice!

"Shadowbound, what is going on? What did you see, you have to tell me! What did you see in my future!?" Pinkamena yelled over the roar of the wind.

"DEATH!" Shadowbound screamed as he burst through the wooden drawbridge with his magic! A giant hole was left in his wake as he ran as far as his hooves could carry him! Pinkamena hugged his neck before a bright light started to form over the horizon the had been taken by night. She turned her head and gasped at how much power was radiating from it! Pinkie Pie felt a pain in her heart.... she noticed what kind of magic power it was but continued to chase after the couple knowing what was coming next.

"What is... THAT?!" Pinkamena screamed, pointing towards the light hurtling towards Everglade!

"Pinkamena don't look.... don't look! P-Please, don't look at it!" Shadowbound yelled, as his tears became more severe as he hid her eyes with his wings.

"Pinkamena..." Pinkie Pie whispered as tears started to prick her eyes watching her best friend's terrified and confused face as the light became brighter.

"Shadowbound... it's not stopping!" Pinkamena screamed, she leapt off his back and started to go towards it before he tackled her. "Let go!! Shadowbound it's... it's coming to KILL THEM!!!"

Shadowbound was biting his lip to keep himself calm as the hysteric Pinkamena's eyes started to dart all over the place. He firmly held her shoulders as she screamed and tried to claw herself away from his hold, while the light became even more fierce with seconds left.

"Twilight... this isn't real... this is a nightmare! Wake me up... make it STOP!" Pinkie Pie cried as Twilight stood speechless unable to formulate thoughts as the pink pony buried her head in her friend's wings!

"P-Pinkamena... you.. you have to look at me, don't look at it... please I am begging you!" Shadowbound sobbed as Pinkamena's head was turned and guarded by a wing. She leapt out of his forelimbs, but he pinned her accidently to where her head was facing the direction.. when the light finally hit.

"NO!!" Pinkamena screamed so hard, her voice echoed along the fatal devastation.

Twilight couldn't believe what she saw... Celestia did this? Pinkamena's hoarse cries and her hoof reaching out to the devoured village she once lived in brought tears to the Alicorn's eyes! The crunches and ripping of the magic destroying everything within the kingdom was a gruesome series of smells and sounds! Pinkie Pie was sobbing as Twilight stood as still as a statue unable to stop the leaks from her eyes.

When the light lifted... nothing was left. Flames ate away at the ground, dispersing the light that ascended into the clouds and leaving the graveyard to rot away into nothing. Shadowbound was too weak from tears to stop Pinkamena from wiggling out from under him, and she approached the field of ash in a daze. She stumbled back when her hoof knocked against something.

She threw up right there and screamed going into a full panic. Her hooves were trembling, as she kept yelling trying to run away from the scene only to run into Shadowbound who corralled her with his forelimbs.

"P-Pinkamena... you... you have to calm down... we need to get out of here!"

"THEY are DEAD!... I touched.....! My family... everypony is dead!! Why... Why did this happen, is... is it my fault... did I bring this on them??? I couldn't protect them... I-I..."

She squeezed her eyes shut unable to process what had happened, as Shadowbound pressed her face against his chest. "It isn't your fault Pinkamena... I saw, Celestia using the Tree of Harmony and wiping out Everglade.. the demons tried to stop me saying it was forbidden for me to aid you... even though they all knew."

"They... KNEW?!" Pinkamena screamed in anger, pushing away Shadowbound and wobbling towards the city of ash. "One of them had to have made... it... they had too... I can't be the... only one left!"

Shadowbound appeared in front of Pinkamena from his magic before leading her away. "Pinkamena you aren't thinking right... I saw it all and if I didn't save you... there would have been no survivors!"

"WHO DID THIS?" Pinkamena screamed, her eyes bloodshot as her hooves fizzled with magic.

"I... I told you... Celestia used the Tree of Harmony to destroy us because we threw out the Pegasi and Unicorns from their homes..." Shadowbound replied, sinking under the murderous gaze of his broken friend.

Green light bubbled around Pinkamena's body, as her steps caused the ground to wither beneath her. She panted, heaving angrily as she held back the tears that wanted to come out. She breathed heavily, as her magic became even more fierce before exploding from her body! The light slammed into the night clouds above her, swirling around with a powerful aura that caused Pinkie Pie to pry her head out of Twilight's wings.

"That... That is how she got her Black Magic..." Twilight faded off sadly, wiping the tears from her eyes.

Pinkamena screamed, letting the magic consume her as Shadowbound closed his eyes in respect to Pinkamena's breakdown. Suddenly the light sucked itself back into Pinkamena's body, leaving her with black hardened armor and a straightened pink mane with no black present in the hairs. Her tattoos were gone, her eyeliner, leaving her to look like how she always did... just severely broken... and MAD!

"We are going to BURY what is left... and then... and then... I am going to KILL Celestia for this! I don't care what I have to give up, I don't care how long it takes... this will NEVER happen again!" Pinkamena screamed, her ruby-red eyes scanning the wasteland furiously.

Shadowbound gulped, before hiding his gaze from the friend ruined by bloodlust!

"Get UP!" She commanded, making the demon pop up from her command.

"What... What do you want me to do...?" Shadowbound squeaked, watching as her claws grabbed his neck and pressed his nose against hers.

She smiled sadistically, "We are going to make a deal with the devil! Using my own life as a trade!"

Pinkamena's dark and twisted laugh was the last thing Twilight heard before she was sucked into a void that left her wondering why her mentor would do such a thing.

Pinkie Pie gasped for air, as Twilight stumbled back into Applejack who held her steady! Pinkie Pie seemed mentally scarred, as she shook from both fear and devastation from what she had experienced! Twilight was able to recover, as she slowly came over and hugged Pinkie Pie and allowed the earth pony to cry into her shoulder.

"What happened darling? Are you okay?" Rarity asked, as she gently stroked Pinkie's back.

"We didn't see Pinkie Pie's memories..." Twilight trailed off before gathering her voice once more. "We saw Pinkamena's."

"What... what did you see Twilight?" Fluttershy asked, gently rubbing her friend's back.

"A... A horrible... tragedy, why.... why would Celestia... I don't understand... they were innocent!" Twilight yelled, hugging the sobbing pony in her chest.

"There has to be another side... Celestia must have had a reason." Rainbow Dash said trying to regain the confidence in their princess.

"She SLAUGHTERED an entire kingdom! Pinkamena's... kingdom! Pinkie Pie, I-I need to talk to Pinkamena right away... please, please take me to her!" Twilight begged shaking the tears from her eyes.

Pinkie Pie nodded. "I was trying... to tell you. Celestia has lied to us for so long... Pinkamena was trying to save us! She was trying to save us from what happened to her so long ago!"

Rainbow Dash muttered. "She tried to bite off my wings."

"Come on girls... I am sure Pinkamena would want to meet you! She is just the nicest and most amazing pony I've ever met!" Pinkie Pie giggled, trying to destroy the gloom in the prison.

"Wait, most amazing pony you've EVER met?" Rainbow Dash asked with a bit of anger. Only to have Gilda bump her shoulder aggressively.

"Yeah!" Pinkie Pie responded obliviously, as Dash's mouth dropped open in hurt and surprise!

BOOM!

Something exploded from within the hive, as the girls huddled to protect Pinkie Pie from anything falling on her head. Twilight cast a shield around them, as pieces of Chrysalis's fortress slammed onto her bubble of magic while shouts came from somewhere above!

Pinkie Pie's pupils grew to the size of pen heads, "P-Pinkamena!"

When Twilight's bubble vanished, Pinkie Pie jumped away from her friends and ran towards whatever made that sound!

"Pinkie PIE! Come back HERE!" Rainbow Dash yelled, zooming after her and leaving Twilight to cough from the dust she left. The rest of them followed behind as fast as they could, as Pinkie Pie slid on the slick flooring before recovering and making her way towards the top of the hive! She climbed ramps, scrambling to get to the green lights exploding from above until hearing war cries... Pinkamena's war cries!

Rainbow Dash tried to catch Pinkie Pie before she disappeared onto the roof of the hive, but missed! Pinkie popped up, only to see Pinkamena tearing into Tirek's throat! The centaur screamed before pushing his friend off of him just to have her pounce back, this time slamming into him with magic infused punches!

"Pinkamena what are you doing!" Limestone screamed while Marble kept Cozy Glow from running towards her sister.

Tirek didn't move before the warlock landed and licked her fangs hungrily.

"Kuasa saya jauh lebih maju!" She hissed, arching her back as her claws scarred the tip of the hive!

Celestia was perched on the ground on her stomach and looking at her hooves in boredom, "Next!"

Pinkie Pie was speechless when she saw the crown on her head... and the purple and green eyes. No... Pinkamena, please... please NO! Chrysalis tried to attack Celestia, but was stopped by Pinkamena who slashed at her viciously with her deadly claws!

Celestia raised an eyebrow. "Come now Chrysalis that time you didn't even try!"

Marble cuddled Cozy Glow before being summoned by Sombra who whispered to her.

"Celestia this will not stand!" Chrysalis yelled, running towards the Alicorn only to be blocked by Pinkamena's body and wicked snarl. "Why are you doing this to us? Pinkamena is a good soul not meant to serve your purpose!"

Celestia waved her off, "If you wanted an easier chance of winning you could have asked. Pinkamena be a dear, and go a little easy on her for me, yes?"

"Si vis!" Pinkamena replied in a low growl.

Chrysalis looked at her controlled friend. "If you want me to fight Pinkamena I will do no such thing!"

Celestia nodded to Pinkamena, and the mage slapped Chrysalis aside making her almost blackout! Pinkie Pie's friends came up finally only to see the weakened members of Pinkamena's team scurry out of the way as Pinkamena mindlessly attacked without warning!

My goodness here are the Elements of Harmony here to save the day!

The roots on Pinkamena's head gave her a silent command, and the drone turned to the friends gathered fearfully by Pinkie Pie. Celestia had an emotionless look as she stared into Twilight's watery eyes, letting them take in the scene that was taking place.

Celestia... Tell these mares what is needed of them.

The Alicorn nodded turning to her pupil and her friends. "It is time to cleanse the world of threats, this is why you were given your power. You must join us, or give your power back for us to use. Do not fail me Twilight, I know that inside your heart you will make the right choice."

Pinkamena's hoof reached out numbly, as she beckoned the mares to join her side.

Sombra snuck up to the side of the hive with Marble, carrying the Crystal Heart as Chrysalis caught sight of his motions. He snuck a hoof to his lips, as Cozy Glow got the picture and helped haul it secretly towards where they could use it against the corrupted Pinkamena. Sombra was accompanied by what appeared to be Luna, who hushed the others while she floated beside Marble.

"Luna hang on as long as you can, I know my light magic cannot repair your body as a whole, but we need your to help activate the Crystal Heart! It will take a while to prepare." Sombra whispered.

"Yes... Pinkamena stole my soul... but I can still send out illusions and communicate... we need a distraction, and quick! I'll take Cozy Glow while Sombra thinks of a plan!" Luna replied with a ghostly strung out tone.

"No Celestia... We... We can't help you kill innocent ponies! You would never do this, we are meant to save them!" Twilight shouted, her voice cracking as Celestia turned her head.

I must take back your borrowed power if you do not wish to use it the way it was intended.

Pinkie Pie broke from her friends once she picked up on Luna's words and ran as fast as she could over to Pinkamena. The drone snarled, baring her fangs as she raised her claws to strike! Pinkie Pie didn't stop, even though her life could be torn into thin strings the more she approached the savage pony before her!

Let her approach Pinkamena... this will be entertaining!

Pinkamena lowered her claws, as Rainbow Dash sped after Pinkie Pie! The pink pony watched the Pegasus approach before she screamed at her! "No Dashie! Y-You can't come over here... I am the only one that can get to Pinkamena! You have to trust me!"

"Pinkie Pie... she's taken over by dark magic! She... She might kill you!" Gilda yelled as the filly squirmed in Maud's grasp while her teeth held back Limestone who was cussing profusely!

"Let my SISTER out of your DAMN magic!" Limestone boomed, as Maud used her free hoof to hold her as well.

Pinkie Pie looked into the wild eyes of the one she loved so much... only to see nothing but hate reflect back at her. Tears started to form in her wet eyes, as she carefully placed her hoof on each side of Pinkamena's cheeks. The mare hissed but did not take any action against her as Pinkie Pie locked her head into place to where her gaze rested only on Pinkie.

I created the bonds you share with your friends, do you really think your friendship with Pinkamena is stronger than the power who made it?

The gem on Pinkamena's head whispered taunts, but Pinkie Pie covered Pinkamena's ears. She pressed her forehead to Pinkamena's before letting herself choke back scared and angry sobs. Pinkamena is the noblest pony I have ever met, why... why didn't I stay with her? This is my fault... she doesn't deserve to be going through so much pain!

Pinkie Pie took a deep breath before those words came back to haunt her. "I wouldn't stop with your friends, fillies, colts, parents, babies... all of them will die by my hoof! My Black Magic will consume everything in its path Pinkie! You have to look at me, and promise me this, don't let my legacy be what Celestia wants it to be... please!" She looked into those ruby-red eyes that had watched her all her life and saw no signs of her best friend within those irises. "-if I become a danger to your friends or you... you have to..... you have to... kill me."

Pinkie Pie pushed those thoughts and Pinkamena's pleading words from her memory! I will never do that to Pinkamena... I... I can't! She doesn't deserve it, she deserves to live a life with me... I'll take care of her!

Pinkie Pie released Pinkamena's ears before placing her hoof on her cheeks once again. "Pinkamena... please, wake up... come back to me! You love me... you wouldn't ever hurt me, I know you wouldn't!"

Pinkamena was unresponsive, as her lip became curled.

"I-I saw your past Pinkamena... everything you've gone through! You are strong, I... I have never seen such a golden-hearted pony like you before. They are using you... making you the enemy you never were! Come back... Come back... Please!" Pinkie Pie said, her cheeks now soaked with the tears spilling from her eyes.

Pinkamena's lips started to relax, and her wild expression unwinding as Pinkie Pie held her breath! She gently kissed Pinkamena on the nose, before stroking her cheek and whispering encouragement... but she did not see what was forming in her friend's hoof.

Show her your bond means nothing!

"NO!" Rainbow Dash screamed, but it was all too late!

Pinkamena's forelimb had turned into a blade and with one fatal stroke... Pinkie Pie was impaled! The pony squirmed as Pinkamena sank the blade deeper into her chest, holding her mane in her claws as she snarled. Rainbow Dash blasted towards Pinkamena, but was slapped away by her wing! Pinkie Pie gasped, unable to breathe as her limp body was dragged by her tail towards the edge of the tall hive!

"Pinkie PIE!" Twilight sobbed as Pinkamena dragged the body towards the cliffside the hive sat on.

Celestia held the group with strong magic, forgetting about the recovering Rainbow Dash who was shaking the stars from her brain. She saw Pinkamena pick up the unmoving Pinkie Pie, and raise her above her head with a demonic screech!

A crashing and deadly river rushed below them, and Rainbow Dash realized what was going to happen!

"Bon kami bermaksud apa-apa!" Pinkamena howled, as the wound dripped blood upon her muzzle.

"You... YOU monster!" Rainbow Dash screamed, as the body was hurled off the hive and tumbled hundreds of feet down towards the unrelenting river.

Without thinking Rainbow Dash tried to fly, forgetting her wings were still recovering even with Sombra's magic! She flew so fast and suddenly, her muscles tore as she gained speed on the falling friend she cared for so much! She caught her just moments before she hit the water, wrapping her wings around the earth pony before they both smashed into the water below.

Pinkamena turned to the sobbing friends of hers... their last hope was gone.

Now what to do with the rest of you.

The Tree of Harmony laughed while summoning Pinkamena to do its bidding forever, only to have Sombra activate their only chance at saving the world from the wrath of Pinkamena's corruption!
