The Sun, The Moon, And The Rainboom
“Hold still Dashie! You need this bath!”
“No! I don’t wanna take a bath!”
“You’re covered in mud!”
“Yeah, so?”
“So you need to get washed!”
I almost had that pesky blue alicorn filly in the tub when I, myself, fell face first into the soapy water. I could hear Rainbow erupt in a fit of giggles as she flew away at top speed. I attempted to give chase but I couldn’t stand without slipping on the floor.
Eventually I gave up trying to stand and tried to crawl my way towards a towel that was sitting on the counter in the bathroom. I got to the towel and dried my hooves off enough to stand properly and proceeded to dry myself off.
Why does she hate getting a bath so much? I wondered silently to myself as I finished wiping my face of soapy water. I had told her that if she continued to refuse to take them then I would use my magic to wash her.
I was about to go up to Dash’s room and dump the entire tub full on her, when I heard a soft knocking on my door. I never really got visitors so I was confused at who it could be. And for some reason, the knock seemed familiar.
As I neared the door I could hear whispering on the other side. But it wasn’t loud enough to make out what the two ponies were saying. I opened the door and to my surprise, was greeted by two young alicorn fillies.
One was tall and white, about up to my chest in height. She looked to be about twelve years old. I saw her cutie mark was yet to appear and her mane and tail were of a rosy hue. I remembered her from a couple years ago, when she and her sister had gotten hurt and I had helped them. I knew her name. Her name was Celestia.
I saw a small figure next to her rear right leg. It was a dark blue aliclrn filly who looked to be around Dash’s age of about 6 years. She had a blue mane and tail, much like her older sister, and had no cutie mark overlaying a black splotch. Her name was Luna. She seemed to be attempting to hide behind her sister’s tail.
“Sorry to intrude on you like this sir, but Star Swirl told us that he was going to be gone for a long time and that we needed to find somepony to stay with.” Celestia said. Her voice had differed in the years that we had not seen each other.
“Oh, um... okay then. Did Star Swirl happen to mention when he was going to come back by any chance?” I knew Starswirl had gone off to fight creatures before but he had never, to my knowledge, told the two sisters to stay with somepony.
“Unfortunately not. We have no idea when he is going to come back. I th-“
“Star Swirl will come back soon!” Luna interrupted her older sister as she jumped out of her hiding place.
“Luna! Show some respect! And NEVER interrupt me again! Now apologize!” Celestia scowled at her little sister, who shrunk back in fear.
“I-I’m sorry mister. And I’m sorry Tia...” Luna’s voice broke as she said these words, and I could see that she was trying to hold back tears. I was surprised to see that Celestia had talked to her this way.
“It’s okay Luna. And Celestia, if you two are going to stay here, you are going to have to be nicer to your little sister.”
Celestia didn’t seem to care much about my remark. While Luna, always full of energy, smiled and trotted up to my door.
But before she could get inside, Celestia once again scolded her sister.
“Luna we have not been invited in ye-“
“I invited you in when I first said something to you.” I said this firmly. I noticed that Celestia seemed surprised at this tone at first, but she quickly acquired her straight face again and walked in after Luna.
I softly shut the door behind them and told them to go upstairs and select which room they were going to stay in.
“Just don’t go into Dashie’s without asking first, okay?”
Luna looked up at me with big eyes. “Who’s Dashie?” Then she let out the most dramatic gasp, “Is she my age!?”
Celestia rolled her eyes as she walked up the stairs, but Luna didn’t seem to notice.
I turned my attention back to Luna. “Well that depends. How old are you?”
Luna put a hoof to her chin and seemed to be lost in thought for a solid minute before saying, “Six.”
“Well then yes, yes she is your age.” I replied to the filly. Luna squealed and did a little loop-de-loop in front of me before racing up the stairs.
I could hear her say a very loud, “HELLO!” before I heard Dashie scream in shock. I knew what was coming next before it even happened. To be honest, I was expecting it to be louder, actually. But, nevertheless, an ear splitting “DADDDDD!”
filled the house.
Dashie flew as fast as she could down the stairs and immediately took refuge behind me. Being the adoptive father of a hyperactive alicorn filly with no help was as exciting as ever. Luna was right behind Dashie but stopped in front of me, eyes fixed on Dashie as she cowered behind me. To be fully honest, I had Dashie exactly where I wanted her.
“I see you’ve met Luna.” I said to Dashie.
Suddenly, Dashie stopped staring and gave a look of embarrassment at me, then turned to Luna and said, “Wait you’re princess Luna!? That’s so cool! My name is Rainbow Dash, but you can call me Dashie!”
The moment that Dashie stepped out from behind me I picked up the tub and dumped the whole lot on her. Dashie squealed as the freezing water made contact with her light blue coat. “It wouldn't have been cold if you would have taken a bath earlier!”
Dashie didn’t seem amused as I wrapped her in a dry towel. Luna however, was rolling in laughter as Dashie’s mane and tail had turned into a large afro. I attempted to stifle a laugh but was losing the battle. Celestia trotted down the stairs and looked like she was concerned until she saw Dashie. I could see Celestia trying to hold in her own laugh but failing miserably.
“What’s so funny?” Dashie asked. I promptly put a mirror in front of her. She let out the largest laugh of us all.
“Who is that!?” She managed to make out between laughs.
“You!” Luna had beaten me to the punchline.
Dashie stopped laughing.
A Stormy Night
I overheard screams from outside the temple. I wondered what could possibly have aroused the other Ralicorns this much. I decide to take a look when the headmaster, my teacher, told me to stay indoors. I wanted to argue but he seemed worried. This didn’t help my conscious at all.
I wish I had gone outside.
==================================================
I woke up gasping for air. “Are you alright mister?” A small, soft voice filled the room. I looked over the left side of my bed to see a little Luna sitting beside my bed with big eyes. She had set up her own little camp made up of blankets, and pillows, and all sorts of comfy things.
“Why are you in here Luna?” I asked softly. As to not wake up the other alicorns in the house. I was aware her sister was very touchy to loud noises. I didn’t need to sense that with my magic.
“You were having a nightmare, uh at least I think you were.” Luna replied. The fact that somepony else could sense others dreams astonished me. I had always thought that to be a trait I had. I don’t remember much about what happened to the others though, so maybe Luna was more than she seemed.
“Oh I’m quite alright now. Thank you for checking on me little one. Also, do you intend to sleep there?” I was confused at first, then I looked over the fort and saw Dashie laying there too. I could put the pieces together from there, but the loud “BOOM!” that crackled across the sky was the real give away.
Oddly enough, Dashie woke up and jumped over to Luna’s side of their fort and the two shivered in fear with blankets wrapped around them. “Dashie, you’re not normally afraid of storms. Is everything alright?” I asked, though Dashie had never come into my room before during a storm, I wasn’t initially surprised by the fact that she was in here with Luna. Her answer made me a little concerned myself.
“I thought there were Timberwolves outside when I heard the storm. I... I know you usually let me sleep in your room when I’m scared so I followed Luna when I saw her going down the hall away from Celestia’s room and told her about where I was going.” Timberwolves were known to gather near the village and be very aggressive towards ponies, but the second part of Dashie’s explanation was what struck me as odd.
“Luna, why were you walking away from your sister’s room?” I was afraid I knew the answer before Luna said anything. But when she said it I felt the words a little more surprising than usual.
“T-tia didn’t allow me to sleep in her room.” Ouch. Celestia was already told that if she didn’t be nice to her sister, she wasn’t going to have a pleasant stay.
“Well why not?”
“She said that I was being a scaredy-cat and that I needed to, ‘mare-up’ and I left.”
“Well if it happens again I’ll address the problem, but for now you can sleep in here.” All was silent as they settled down next to each other. Or, at least it was until an even louder series of bangs and booms came from outside, sending the two flying upward and dive bombing right onto me. But the surprises weren’t over yet, Celestia came barreling into the room at top speed screaming loud enough to make my ears hurt. “No! Wait!” I yelled but it was too late. I now had all three alicorns on top of my chest. Instinctively I went into full panic mode and shoved the three into the pile of blankets and pillows beside my bed, Celestia on the bottom.
I jumped out of bed. “You foals need to calm down! I get you’re scared but don’t jump on top of me! I couldn’t breath!” Maybe I was a little to harsh, because all three of them broke down into tears. I felt my ears fall back on my head and I knew my face had turned beet red. Dashie didn’t normally cry so I had little experience with this type of combat.
“Umm, I’m sorry! Shhh, shhhhh it’s okay it’s okay. You guys can sleep in here if you want. You’re gonna be alright.” I guess whatever I did worked because they seemed to stop crying and downgraded to sniffles, which was a far less damging attack. Of course, another crack of thunder made them squeal.
Dashie was wrapped around my front right leg while Luna was attached to my left, Celestia, however, jumped onto my back. And they were all shivering like mad. I just sighed, plopped them down in front of me and told them, “You can sleep in here, but only if you’re nice to your sister, and you don’t jump on me again, okay?” The trio nodded and I climbed back into my bed.
========================================================
It wasn’t long until I awoke to the sound of soft snores from the three fillies beside my bed. I carefully slipped out of bed onto my hooves, standing above a small pile of alicorns. I softly walked over to the window and began to help raise the sun. My cutie mark was described as a yin and yang of the sun and the moon by others. I helped lower and raise both, this took a decent chunk of power and magic to do.
I eyed the trio a little more closely and was overwhelmed by adorableness. Celestia was on the bottom, with Luna laying on top of her and Dashie in the middle of her circle that she had made with her body. She opened her eyes and looked up at me with a smile. “Shhh. They’re sleeping.” She whispered. She lifted her head and nestled her muzzle into Luna’s small, softly snoring body. Then she rested her head back into her spot and said, “Just 5 more minutes, please.” I smiled and trotted out of the room, quietly shutting the door behind me.
I headed down the stairs and into the kitchen. I didn’t really know what the princesses would like or normally have, so I decided to make mine and Dashies favorite; bacon with sunny-side-up eggs and French toast. I got to work right away. To my own surprise, I didn’t worry as much as I thought I would about if the princesses would like it. Dashie and Luna are like mirror images of each other. Celestia I knew would like it. I could tell she likes cake from the obvious frosting on her mouth when I saw her upstairs.
I checked the cupboard and sure enough, the chocolate cake that I had been secretly eating over the course of the week, was completely obliterated. I thought Celestia would have been smart enough to know that eating a chocolate cake with a white coat wasn’t very sneaky. Of course, when I went upstairs to tell them that breakfast was ready, and they all stood in front of me, I saw she had shared.
“Did you fillies enjoy the cake?” I asked. I couldn’t help but laugh as their ears fell back and Celestia asked, “How did you know?” Their eyes widened when I showed them the empty tray.
“Oh, and none of you cared to wipe your faces.”

Little Moon
After breakfast Luna walked over to me and thanked me for the meal. “What do you do for fun around here?” She asked. This obviously caught Dashie’s attention and thus had her jump straight off her chair at Luna hovering mere inches above her.
“I can show you what to do for fun!” Dashie said as she landed in front of Luna. “Come on!” I didn’t try to stop them, in fact, I barely had time to tell them to stay close to the house. Celestia finished eating her French toast shortly after. She trotted over and put her plate in on the pile of other plates I had stacked. I planned to wash them later.
Celestia started up the stairs. “I’m going to go study and brush my mane and tail.” She stated as she disappeared up the stairs before I could ask her why. I decided that I didn’t get to much sleep last night so I settled down on the couch and started to nap.
=============================================================================
I finally decided that I had waited long enough. I was going outside. The headmaster hadn’t comeback since he went outside and the screams had died down. That word. Died. I don’t like it. The smell of burning leaves filled the air.
I approached the door to the exit of the temple. As I flung it open, I was horrified at what I saw. The town I had grown up in, the headmaster that had taught me, raised me, all of it. Gone. No buildings, no houses, just gone. I heard a cracking noise come from above me. In moments the doorway came crashing on top of me, a piece of wood piercing my foreleg.
I cried out in pain. I couldn’t stand, but that wasn’t what I was worried about. I needed to figure out what happened.
Then, a big white light appeared, and everything vanished.
=========================================================
I woke up with an over dramatic gasp for air. It happened again. I didn’t even want to know what happened. I tried to shrug it off but I couldn’t. Slowly though, my thought process shifted to Luna and last night. I still couldn’t figure out how she knew I had a nightmare. I got over both thoughts in due time. I figured that Dashie and Luna would have come home by now.
I decided to wash the dishes. It looked like I definitely needed to after breakfast, Celestia had eaten 5 plates worth of French toast, bacon, and I’m not sure why, but her favorite seemed to be sunny side up eggs. She had eaten 3 plates of sunny side up eggs alone. Looks like I’m going to have to go to the market today. But first, I needed to tackle the mountain of plates before me.
It took about 2 pints of dish soap and 4 brushes before I had even made a dent. And I’m pretty sure it was lunch time to add on to the struggle. I looked outside at the sun’s position to check the time. When it was rising, we had breakfast. When it was straight above us, we had lunch. Setting we had dinner vice versa. It was straight above us, which meant that I now had to stop washing dishes, use more dishes, and sacrifice more dish soap.
I trotted up the stairs to ask Celestia what she would like for lunch. Once I reached the top I was stopped dead in my tracks by coming face to face with a pie. I couldn’t see them but I heard the laughs of two fillies running away from me. I didn’t know who they were so I picked up all three of the alicorns in the house. I proceeded to wipe my eyes clear of pie, not forgetting to taste what flavor, of course. Blueberry. Well it was obvious who did it now.
There were two blue alicorns in this house and there were two blue alicorns desperately trying to fly out of my magic. “Well Dashie, I never knew you could bake. And Luna, what role did you play in this?” I asked the two of them. I put Celestia back on the floor only to have her walk out of the room, look at me, look at Dashie and Luna, open her mouth like she was going to speak, then return to her room. I returned my gaze to the two in front of me.
“Actually, Luna helped make the pie.” Dashie said with no hesitation. Luna gave her a “I can’t believe you would throw me under the cart” look. I rolled my eyes and plopped the two down. In turn, they tried to run. This time I decided to have a little fun with them. I knew a duplication spell that could duplicate broken items in perfect condition. I held them upside-down by their tails.
Their eyes widened when they saw the two pies I had created with the spell. “Wait! No!” Dashie pleaded.
“Don’t do this!” Luna followed.
“Think of all the good times we’ve had!”
“But last night was the only time that we had a ‘good time’.”
“Luna you’re not helping!”
“I’m just telling the truth!”
I inched the pies closer. The smile on my face grew.
“No! Please don’t do it!”
“Tia help us!” When Luna said this Celestia ran out of her room and assumed an attack position, her horn glowing. “What’s going on?” She asked, which sounded more like a demand.
My smile grew bigger and the pies came closer. “Luna and Dashie decided to play a prank on me. So I’m simply returning the favor. Now that you’re out here though...” I picked up Celestia by the tail and hung her upside down too. Creating a third pie at the same distance from the other two. It was obvious I was having way to much fun.
Luna, Dashie, and Celestia struggled fiercely, waving their legs, flapping their wings, Celestia even tried to counteract my magic. “No! What did I do to you!?” Celestia cried as the pies were now within a wing of the three. I had been wanting to do this for a longgggg time.
“You ate my cake!” I answered.
“So did they!” Celestia pointed a hoof at the two next to her.
“You’re right.” I made another pie appear right in front of the trio. This one as large as all of them combined.
“Wait that’s not what I meant!”
“I know they would’ve burned the whole house down if they had baked this on their own.” Their it was, my trump card.
“Don’t do this mister!” Hm. Mister?
“Please, call me Starry Light!”
I thrusted the pies forward, each making perfect contact with it’s target. I had no doubt that the ginormous one would hit them. I removed the tins from their faces and with a puff of magic made them disappear along with the pie left on my face. “Now go downstairs and get cleaned up you three.” I had a certain smugness in my voice. “You look like you were ambushed by pies!”
Maybe that last line was a mistake. Celestia had a huge tub of soapy, cold water hovering above me in seconds.
“Come now fillies,” I felt beads of sweat running down my face, “no need to be brash. We can talk about this!”
I gues Celestia didn’t want to talk.
Dream Walking
The day was finally over. I wasn’t cold anymore, the fillies weren’t covered in anything, and it didn’t seem like it was going to storm. Everpony was in bed and I believe snoring already. I was reluctant to go to sleep for fear of having the nightmares again. It has been happening ever since Dashie came here. I go to sleep, dream about that town, if I get hurt I wake up. But I always seem to think it’s real. I’m beginning to question my reality more often. Plugging my nose to see if I can breathe.
I couldn't resist any longer. My eyelids felt heavy and my head hit a pillow. I was out cold.
=======================================================================
The light faded and everything I thought was real was now pitch black. I was in the middle of some neutral space, like a void of some sort. That’s when I remembered. Was this even real? I plugged my nose and held my breath until I was ready. I let out a huge exhale through my nose. My plugged nose. This wasn’t real. None of it. I was in a lucid dream. But why?
I didn’t fully understand dreams. Nopony ever will. Lucid dreams are dangerous. If I die here I may die for real. I took a shaky breath. Then, I saw a little filly sitting down in the middle of the void. But the dream wasn’t a void anymore. It turned to a little hill in the blanket of night. The moon hung high in the sky. The filly seemed to be captivated by it’s beauty.
“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” The filly said. I recognized that voice.
“Luna?” The filly turned her head, and sure enough, Luna was sitting on the hill. I had the ability to connect dreams, but I could only do it while I was awake. This wasn’t me. I knew it wasn’t Luna either. In connected dreams, it’s obvious who controls the dream. They normally make themselves known or you can feel when they are in charge. Luna didn’t yet have the power either.
“Yes?” Luna replied
“How did you enter my dream?”
“I thought you entered mine.” Luna said with a confused face. We were both aware that this was a dream. Connected dreams are one thing, but connected lucid dreams? That’s a whole other level.
“Luna, have you ever done this before?”
“No. I don’t think so Starry. Is it okay if I call you that, Mr. Light?”
“Oh it’s quite alright.” I sat down next to the small alicorn. “Do you know what this is?”
Luna shook her head. “I’ve never even heard of something like this. Could you shed a little light?” She snickered.
“That was horrible. Please never do that again.” I’m terrible with kids.
Luna seemed hurt and her head fell. “I’m sorry Starry.” She perked up. “Hey! That rhymes!”
I rolled my eyes. “Sorry for being so harsh.”
“Don’t worry. It’s okay.” She smiled. “Okay, back to the story.”
I took a deep breath. “This is called a connected, or shared, dream. It is where two ponies have one dream. That specific dream connects their separate dreams forming these. Normally somepony from the outside would have to connect the two somehow.”
“So are ponies normally aware that they are dreaming?” That question was a good one.
“No, not in my experience. When you are aware that you are dreaming it is considered a lucid dream. Lucid dreaming is when the dreamer, in this case me and you, are aware that they are dreaming. A connected lucid dream is a connected dream that both the dreamers are having lucid dreams.”
I could tell she had no idea what I just said. I decided to down size.
“We are having the same dream and we are aware we are dreaming.” I said promptly. It felt good to be able to explain it that simply.
“I like it.” Luna said as she returned her attention to the moon. “I want to do it more often.”
I looked down at the filly. I considered telling her what I thought was a secret that only my kind knew. I decided against it in my mind, but my mind was connected to the dream. “There is one way you can do it more often.”
She beamed up at me. “Really!? Show me show me show me!”
“Okay, but you have to promise to only use it for good, okay?”
She nodded her head fiercely. This drew a quiet smile from me. I had told Dashie this but she didn’t seem to care about spilling the beans to somepony else. “I promise!”
“Okay. What sets you apart from others is well, you’re an alicorn and you’re royalty. But what sets you apart from other alicorns is that you seem to have a special connection with the moon.”
She looked at me, the moon, then me again. Then back to the moon. “Okay...”
“You could tell I was having a nightmare, right?”
“Yeah.”
“That means you have a connection with the dream realm too.”
She looked back at the moon. “Dream realm? Never heard of it. Is there cake there!?”
Of course. “Moving on... you can use this connection to acces other ponies’ dreams. You can also use it to make dreams like this though. But be careful. The dream realm is like the real world. If you die there. You die for real. Lucid dreaming is the same way too.”
Luna seemed alarmed by these remarks but shrugged them off. “Okay. I’ll be careful! Maybe I’ll mess with you!”
The dream began to fill with cracks. Instantly, Luna jumped onto my back. “The dream is splitting!”
“What does that mean?!”
“It means we are going to wake up!”
“But I don’t wanna!” Luna said it to late.
===============================================
I heard a scream awake from the other side of the house. I was now upright in my bed, breathing heavily. I couldn’t figure out why, but I didn’t care. I was happy I wasn’t the only pony with this ability. I caught a grey streak out the window in th corner of my eye. I noticed a slip of paper sitting on the ledge under a rock.
I walked over, picked up the note, and got scared by all 3 fillies bursting into my room. “Hey knock next time!” I yelled. They shrunk back. “It’s okay. You startled me.”
Luna walked over. “Thank you.” She said. I made the mistake of looking into her eyes. It was to cute for me to handle. I scooped them all up and held them tight.
“Don’t worry.” I said. “You girls can stay as long as you like.”
Dashie noticed the note I had in my hoof. “Hey what’s that?”
I looked at it. “Not sure.”
“Read it!”
“Okay, okay.” I plopped them down on the floor and faced them. I held the note up with my magic and began to read it aloud.
”Our first encounter as a dream. A filly who is more than she seems. We are the same, yet different in many ways. These alicorns you raise have been here only a few days. Rainbow colored eyes in tune, in 6 years the clock will strike noon. A nap you three shall take. Whether in the home or by a lake. I hope to see you soon. Starry Light, the clock, will strike noon.”
Author's Note
Noon?
I trotted down the hall towards Dashie’s room. She had been crying ever since her coltfriend broke up with her. To be honest though, I didn’t fully approve of him. I guess it’s normal for the father to not care if their son gets a marefriend. In fact, the only question on average is, “Is she hot?” then when the son says yes they high-hoof. But when the DAUGHTER gets a coltfriend, there are many more questions. “I want his name, where he lives, age and the names of his past marefriends if he has any.” I murmured to my self as I neared the door.
I could hear Luna on the other side trying to calm Dashie, but to no avail. I wanted to track down that stallion and scream at him for the rest of his life. I heard large sobs on the other side of the door I was now standing outside of. I was reluctant to knock on the door, but I softly tapped it anyway.
Dashie sniffled and managed to stop crying. “C-come in.”
I opened the door and walked over to the two alicirn mares sitting on Dashie’s bed. Luna got up and walked out of the room. She closed the door behind her. I could tell she walked down the hall, then walked back. I shifted my attention back to Dashie. “Are you okay?” Wow. I have no idea how to deal with things like this! My kind always needed their parents approval before being able to date. I guess we can tell when something is going to last.
“Yeah I’m fine.” Dashie squeaked through voice breaks and tears. I sat down next to he on the bed and patted her on the back. I racked my brain, seeing if a thousand years of knowledge had any idea how to deal with this. I could only think of one way.
“When I was 12, I had no game.” I blurted it out. The single most dumb thing I’m pretty sure I’m ever going to say. Dashie just looked at me.
“W-what?”
“I couldn’t get anypony who I really liked. And if I did, I’d lock up and become unable to speak.”
Dashie wiped away a tear and seemed to regain her voice a little. “Man you really didn’t have any game.”
I should’ve seen this coming. I knew Dashie would turn the tables on me. “Yeah, yeah. Bother me all you want.”
She giggled a little. This was a good sign.
I wrapped my wing around her. “If he can’t see who he just turned away, he must be blind. You’re the bravest alicorn I know. You always help those in need. You always share. And you’re the fastest flier I know. He didn’t deserve you.”
Dashie wasn’t crying anymore, and if you looked at her you’d think she never had. “Thanks dad.” She hugged me back then jumped off the bed. “I’m gonna go find another stallion and show my old coltfriend that I can bounce back!”
I face hoofed. Of course that is how she would take it in. I got off the bed and trotted out of the room as Dashie brushed her mane in front of her mirror. I closed the door and trotted down to Luna’s room. When I opened the door to Luna’s room she squeaked and jumped up, dropping something fairly suspicious on the floor. She jumped down on top of it and shoved it under her pillow.
“What was that?” I asked.
“Nothing! Nothing at all! Definitely not a letter from some cute stallion no sir! Never even dream of something like that!” She replied with the fakest cover up smile I’d ever seen. She was even worse at acting than me.
I picked up the pillow and the note from their resting spots all the while holding Luna by her tail as she struggled to grab the note. “Oh really? Well then I guess you won’t mind me taking a look will you?”
Her entire face turned red as I opened up the note. “We can talk right? You’re a reasonable stallion! You don’t want to do this!” She said it so fast I could barely understand her. This was going to be even more fun than the pie all those years ago.
I opened it slowly, delicately. As to not harm any piece of text or paper. “From a pony named ‘Supernova’ huh? Sure does sound like that batpony you always look at whenever their around. Oh and did I tell you I saw you two brush tails?”
She blushed so hard she looked like a tomato. “I’ve got no idea what you’re talking about!”
“Are you positive?” I had the note almost completely unfolded. “I also saw you two looking at each other’s flanks. And I saw him swipe his wing across your back.”
She couldn’t even speak and her entire face was beet red. I opened the note.
Dear Luna,
Hey cutie. I saw you yesterday and was blinded by your beauty. I never knew a mare so perfect existed in all of Equestria. I was wondering if it would be to much to ask if you would be so kind as to meet me on the bridge in the middle of town in two days. I’ll be there.
Love, Supernova.
I looked at her with a sly grin. She had a sheepish smile on covered by beads of sweat and nervous laughter. “Ok so maybe me and him are just a little bit fond of each other...” Luna said helplessly.
“A little bit?”
*********************************************************
It had been a little while since I had teased Luna about her ‘secret’ coltfriend. I was tired from not really sleeping last night as we all had to got to Celestia’s coronation. She was now old enough to take the throne for Equestria being 18 and all. As I walked towards the staircase I took notice that Luna had fallen asleep with the note in hoof. Dashie was in a similar state but with her mane perfectly brushed.
I got an eerie feeling as I walked towards the couch. I heard the clock in the kitchen hit and a resounding thud echoed through the home. I had built the clock with a rope, glass, pan, and rock. You could probably figure out what makes it work. I spread out on the couch, resting my head on the end. Then I remembered.
That note said that the three of us would fall asleep at noon. Three. I couldn’t keep my eyes open. I struggled against the ever resounding call of slumber. I heard my eyelids thud.
==================================================
========================================================
=============================================================================
=========================================================
=======================================================================
===============================================
