Tapion Is Reborn! What's With His Attitude? A Strange Talk...

Hoi was taking a simple stroll in the city, holding the box.

It wasn't too crowded...

There were a couple of nice stores around...

Hoi looked to the skies, smiling.

"What a beautiful world..." He muttered to himself.

"It's almost a shame it'll be utterly destroyed." He said.

He approached CHS, and he saw the gang just waiting for him.

They just stood there, in a group.

Hey, it looks like Trunks is here.

"There he is." Fluttershy said.

Hoi stood in front of the eight people and one dog...

"Hello." He said.

"Hi." Fluttershy said.

"I am Hoi..." Hoi said.

"Alrighty." Applejack said.

"I'm Applejack." She said.

"Pinkie Pie!" Pinkie yelled.

"Sunset Shimmer." Sunset said.

"Rarity. Charmed to meet you." Rarity said.

"Twilight Sparkle. And my talking dog..." Twilight said, looking down at her dog.

"Spike!" He barked.

Twilight picked him up and scratched his ear.

He liked that.

"I'm Trunks. I heard a hero was coming!" Trunks said, excitedly.

"Hold yer horses." Applejack said.

"This is hero business, I've only had one, don't ruin it!" Trunks said.

Hoi held the music box forward.

"Do you think you can open the box and save the universe!?" He asked.

Sunset stepped forward.

"You said we needed a powerful magic, right? Well, we have it!" She said proudly.

"Isn't that right?" She asked, looking over her shoulder.

"You bet!" Rainbow Dash said, giving a thumbs up.

"Magnificent..." Hoi said.

"You should probably put the box down." Rainbow Dash said.

Hoi did just that, and stepped back.

Gohan and Trunks also took a step back.

...Then Twilight followed suit.

"Ready, girls?" Sunset asked.

They all nodded.

Sunset suddenly had a red, magical aura surrounding her.

It was somewhat transparent, and looked like smoke...

Then Rainbow Dash had an even darker shade of red...

Fluttershy had a pink aura, Rarity had a purple aura, Applejack had an orange aura, and Pinkie had a blue aura.

They were very slowly lifted off the ground...

They were suspended in the air...

Twilight stared intently, pulling out a notepad.

She wrote down every little detail...

Then, they each emitted a white light with their aura...

And suddenly...

With a shockwave of rainbow, they each transformed!

New ears, longer hair, and two of them having wings.

Each aura flew up into the sky, and gathered in the middle...

The auras swirled and danced around...

The swirling stopped and a rainbow formed.

The rainbow wasn't transparent at all, and sparkled.

That rainbow spun around in circles...

It was so fast, it didn't even look like it was spinning.

Sunset pointed her finger at the box on the ground...

"Now!" She yelled.

The rainbow in the sky was directed at the box...

And so, it stopping spinning and flew straight down at the box!

WHOOSH!

It slammed itself into the box, and...

...Just disappeared into it.

The rainbow was gone.

The girls floated back down to the ground.

Their pony parts just went away, suddenly.

"What?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"That's not what usually happens..." Sunset said.

The box was doing nothing.

"...The magic of friendship didn't work?" Applejack asked.

Hoi looked very distraught...

Until...

...The music box started playing.

Everyone gasped in surprise.

The crank moved by itself.

It was such a beautiful tone...

Then...

The box very slowly opened...

It released tons of steam from the inside!

The sky suddenly became dark.

Everyone gasped again.

Gohan looked around, and-

There's smoke swirling all around them.

There were strong winds coming out of nowhere!

Then, from inside the box, a blue light was shown!

The smoke from the box swirled and swirled into one big clump...

"Gohan, you're seeing this too, right!?" Trunks asked.

"I'm not blind..." Gohan said.

The smoke suddenly morphed into a person!

It was still kinda hard to see what he looked like behind the winds and other smoke...

Hoi took the opportunity to step back even more...

And he grinned.

His eyes started glowing red.

Nobody else could see it, but...

He emitted a blue aura.

And blue shockwaves were being sent from him, but again, invisible.

Gohan and Trunks couldn't even sense them.

They were going into the person in the smoke...

Hoi was quietly cackling to himself.

Until...

The music box stopped playing.

The same tune was being played with an ocarina.

Hoi's eyes were normal again, he stopped the shockwaves.

They all went back to him...

Nobody could even see it.

Then, the blue light suddenly got extremely bright!

The box suddenly shattered into a million pieces!

It couldn't handle the pressure...

The pressure was forcing everyone to step back.

Nobody could see clearly, it was windy as hell, and...

"This is so cool!" Trunks yelled.

The sky suddenly turned normal again.

The smoke slowly died down, as well as the light.

This revealed the hero, Tapion!

He had an orange mohawk, a blue scarf, a large orange vest, a sword, big pointy ears, yellow pants, and brown boots.

He slowly floated down to the ground while he continued his tune...

"Hoi wasn't lying..." Fluttershy muttered.

"Yeah, no kidding...!" Rainbow Dash muttered.

Tapion reached the ground and stopped his music.

He opened his eyes.

They were green.

Trunks was just amazed.

He even had a sword!

Hoi smiled sheepishly and stepped forward towards Tapion.

As he got close...

Tapion instantly pulled out his sword and pointed it at him!

"Stay back!" He yelled.

Hoi just smiled.

The others were taken aback by his reaction...

"Was it you who revived me!?" Tapion yelled.

"...You're most welcome. It's nice to have some legroom after a thousand years, hmm?" Hoi asked.

"You old fool!" Tapion yelled.

"Send me back!" He demanded.

"Not an option. Now that the music box has been destroyed..." Hoi said, chuckling.

He grinned evilly at the ocarina Tapion held at his side.

...

Gohan stepped forward...

"Hello there." He said.

"You must be Tapion! My name-" "-Do you have any idea what you've done!?" Tapion interrupted.

He turned his back on the group and looked over his shoulder.

"Well? Do you!? I don't know if I can stop it this time." He said.

"What do you mean...?" Gohan asked.

Tapion just started strolling away.

He crossed the street, and just...

Kept going.

"...I wanna be just like him!" Trunks said.

"Trunks..." Applejack said.

"We know nothing about the guy other than the fact that he has trouble saying thank you." She said.

Trunks ignored her, running straight after him.

"Tapion! Wait up!" He yelled.

"Tru- Oh, it's no use." Gohan said.

Pinkie was eyeballing Hoi...

It was very noticeable.

"Pinkie, what's the problem?" Rarity whispered.

"Hoi is hiding something..." Pinkie said.

"I think Tapion looked troubled..." Fluttershy said.

"I can't believe he couldn't show a little tact." Rarity said.

"Hey... Where'd Hoi go?" Pinkie asked.

And...

Yep, he's gone.

"How did we not notice that?" Gohan asked.

"Well, let the kid bother Tapion. This was a letdown." Rainbow Dash said.

"At least he's real, and I can sense tons of power coming from him." Gohan said.

"Yeah, even then, I don't think he wants to help us." Rainbow Dash said.

"Hoi's rear might be sucking wind about the monster." She added.

"But Tapion did appear from the box." Rarity said.

"Tapion mentioned something about not being able to stop 'it.' What is it?" Gohan asked.

"Well, until Tapion decides to say thanks, we'll never know for sure." Applejack said.

"What should we do...?" Fluttershy asked.

"With all these mysteries... You guys should stay away from Tapion and Hoi." Gohan said.

"Why?" Pinkie asked.

"Tapion could potentially hurt you, and Hoi might deceive us. Neither are really trustworthy people at the moment." Gohan said.

"I guess yer right." Applejack said.

'Damn it. Those fools...' Tapion thought, sitting in a very dark room.

'I was sealed for a reason- Don't they get that!? What are they teaching kids these days!?' He thought.

The place was really torn up and old.

He was currently in an abandoned naval base, trying to assess the situation.

'No sleep is an impossible task. How will I rest...!?' He thought, clutching his head in anger.

Then, from above...

A hatch opened in the ceiling.

"Knock-knock!" Trunks yelled, poking his head in.

The last thing Tapion wanted was company.

He grunted loudly, and-

"Get the hell out of here!" He yelled.

Trunks jumped back in shock.

He closed the hatch in fear that Tapion might come up there and make him leave...

...Tapion sighed.

'This place won't do much to contain Hirudegarn...' He thought.

"You said you wanted to talk about something?" Gohan asked.

He and Fluttershy were on a park bench, just chilling.

"I mean, nothing special. Just conversation. I'd like to get to know you a bit better." Fluttershy said.

"Well... Alright." Gohan said.

'And now, to put Rarity's hypothesis to the test...' Fluttershy thought.

"What kind of girl do you like?" She asked.

"W-What?" Gohan asked.

"I mean... what's your type?" Fluttershy asked, slightly blushing.

"Er... I... I don't know." Gohan said.

"That's kind of personal, Fluttershy." He said.

"What do you like in a girl?" Fluttershy asked.

"I don't know... I've never actually thought about it." Gohan said.

'Dang it. Rarity's other plan.' Fluttershy thought.

"I can't give you a straight answer." Gohan said.

"I know I like someone..." Fluttershy said.

"Oh, really? Who's the lucky guy?" Gohan asked.

Fluttershy giggled and blushed a bit more...

"Oh, I can't say... It's really embarrassing..." She said.

"What's he like?" Gohan asked.

"He's a strange guy... The most unique person I've ever met. And he'll definitely have a hard time understanding me." Fluttershy said.

"Ah. Is it because you're too shy to give it a try?" Gohan teased.

"Yeah, and... everything seems to fly over his head..." Fluttershy said.

"Well, good luck on that." Gohan said.

'Wow. I... Was I too vague?' Fluttershy thought.

"I really like talking to you about these things..." She said, trying again.

"How so?" Gohan asked.

"You're not a blabbermouth like Pinkie or Rainbow Dash. I feel like I can trust you more than anyone else..." Fluttershy said.

"That's nice to know. I feel like I can trust you too." Gohan said.

"You're the first friend I've had in ages, heh." He said.

"What about Trunks?" Fluttershy asked.

"Well, he's pretty special. He's more like a little brother to me. Plus a pupil, since he really wants to be a hero." Gohan said.

"What do you teach him?" Fluttershy asked.

"I try to get him to perfect his fighting style. He trains and increases his strength on his own." Gohan said.

"It's not all punches and explosions, it's precision and quick thinking." He added.

"What's your fighting style like, then?" Fluttershy asked.

"I learned the demon and turtle styles from multiple teachers. That old guy, Master Roshi, is the one who taught my dad the turtle style. It focuses on building up speed and endurance." Gohan said.

"What's the demon style?" Fluttershy asked.

"To gain strength through hardship. Essentially putting yourself through the test of a lifetime." Gohan said.

"Of course, there will always be something that can hurt you, but it's just building tolerance to the minor things." He added.

"Man, I don't know how you do it." Fluttershy said.

"But how does it apply to actual fighting?" She asked.

"The demon style helps you build the instinct to avoid any and all attacks, and to take them head on if you can't dodge. The turtle style maximizes speed and endurance for attacking and other forms of movement. Of course, you can develop these things without either style, but it helps to perfect it." Gohan said.

"That's so interesting..." Fluttershy said.

"Trunks is having trouble because half the time, he's just blindly throwing punches." Gohan said.

"Um... I-I guess those fighting styles really... Uh..." Fluttershy stammered, trying to think of a flirtatious comment.

"...Made me strong?" Gohan asked.

"N-No, er... made you into the han- Oh, forget it." Fluttershy said.

'That's too much...' She thought.

"...Alright." Gohan said.

"What's your strategy when it comes to fighting?" Fluttershy asked, trying to end the awkwardness.

"It depends on the situation." Gohan said.

"Since the Androids had limitless energy, I had to take them down as soon as I could. They don't tire. But with opponents like Sunset Shimmer and Twilight... It's much easier to dwindle their strength." Gohan said.

"But wouldn't you get tired too?" Fluttershy asked.

"Yes. However, I have Saiyan biology. Saiyans get stronger as the fight goes on and after a fight. Although it's a minor boost, it can definitely turn the tide of battle." Gohan said.

"So even if you're tired, you can get somewhat stronger?" Fluttershy asked.

"If I don't get too damaged, yes. There's a benefit to keeping the fight going for me." Gohan said.

"The Androids were naturally tough to begin with, so the boost wouldn't really do much for my hypothetical tiredness in any circumstance." He said.

"Wow. Fighting's a lot more interesting than I thought." Fluttershy said.

"It really is." Gohan said.

'I guess we can leave it on that note, Rarity said to leave the conversation while he's excited.' Fluttershy thought.

"I have to go home soon..." She lied.

"Oh. Alright." Gohan said, looking somewhat upset.

"Talk again tomorrow?" Fluttershy asked.

"If you'd like." Gohan said.

"I'd really like it." Fluttershy said.

'...I'm too afraid to say anything flat-out, I need more time with you.' She thought.

Had a lot of things I was working on there, so, damn.

Well, mobile isn't too bad.

At least I got used to mobile before the fact.
