It's late in the afternoon...

It's very cloudy.

Each school gathered around the entrance outside CHS.

Bleachers on each side for the Wondercolts and Shadowbolts...

On CHS's side, our usual gang were the only ones standing.

Fluttershy was back into action, although she was still drained and tired.

On Crystal Prep's side, the six remaining competitors along with Cinch were standing.

Luna, Celestia, and Cadence were in front of the doors to the school.

The crowds are wild.

Cadence was our usual announcer, so..

"Since the score is still tied, the final event will determine the winner of the Friendship Games." She announced.

Luna took the microphone from there.

She had one Wondercolts' Flag and a Shadowbolts' flag.

"Somewhere on campus, a pennant from each school has been hidden. The first team to find their school's flag and bring it back wins." Luna announced.

Cadence took back the microphone, and-

"And as soon as our teams are ready, we'll begin." She announced.

Anyway...

"I don't feel like playing these games anymore..." Pinkie said.

"But we have to play. This is the last event!" Rainbow Dash said.

Rarity scoffed.

"It's a little hard to focus with all the magic stealing and portal opening." She said.

"And I feel awful about what I said to Twilight..." Sunset said.

Fluttershy just had to chime in-

"Especially since she obviously didn't mean to do all the stuff I'm told she did. She's actually really nice." She said.

Sunset facepalmed...

...Everyone just gave Fluttershy that look, and she felt bad.

Applejack decided to change the subject there and then.

"Let's just get through this last event and prove we're not a bunch of cheaters. Then you can go over and apologize." She said.

"You guys are drained. Are you sure you can handle this last event?" Gohan asked.

"Ehh... Yeah... I don't know..." Pinkie said.

Over at Crystal Prep's side...

Cinch was speaking to the finalists.

Spike hid behind a bush.

"I know I'm asking you to beat a team that isn't playing fair, but Canterlot High must be made to understand that even with magic at their disposal, beating Crystal Prep is simply not an option." Cinch declared.

"What if they grow wings again?" Sugarcoat asked.

"A fair question. Though I believe we can now fight fire with fire." Cinch said, walking to Twilight.

Twilight knew what was coming.

"I've seen what your device can do, Twilight. Containing magical energy is fine, but have you considered releasing it?" Cinch asked.

"But I don't even understand how it works." Twilight said.

From there, the other Crystal Prep students crowded around her.

"But you'd like to. And since our opponents have already used it to stay competitive, I see no reason why we shouldn't do the same. Unless, of course, you have no interest in Everton. Though, honestly, I think there's more knowledge packed in that little device than any independent study program could offer." Cinch said.

"I... could agree on you with that, but it's dangerous...!" Twilight said.

"Twilight, to find a student like you... I've maybe seen only one or two. But they disappear in the blink of an eye." Cinch said.

"I'm very sure you know what will happen if we have the losing score..." She said.

Her fellow teammates were also rallying for her to get the magic out.

"Unleash the magic." Sugarcoat said.

"Do it." Indigo said.

"They used it." Sour Sweet said sourly.

"Why can't we?" Sunny Flare said.

"It'll be your fault if we lose." Lemon Zest said, not using a rocking voice.

"There won't be another chance like this again, Twilight. You won't be able to see magic again..." Cinch said.

Twilight was really contemplating...

"We need to win this." Cinch said.

...

"...I'll do it." Twilight said.

Spike very quietly gasped from the bush.

Twilight started walking towards the center.

Back to our usual gang...

"I don't know if I want to do this anymore, either..." Rainbow Dash said.

"Well... I might as well look alone. If you really want me to." Gohan said.

"What's Twilight doing?" Sunset asked.

Yeah, that is kinda questionable.

'Imagine what you'll learn if you set it free...' Twilight thought.

Gohan started walking towards her, now.

"If both teams are ready..." Luna announced.

Twilight lifted up the compass...

"Wait... What are you doing...?" Gohan asked.

"These games are riding on me." Twilight said, not looking too sure about herself.

"...the last event of the Friendship Games begins..." Cadence said

"I will win this..." Twilight said, suddenly gaining tons of confidence.

Spike rushed after her.

Twilight opened up the compass...

"Twilight, NO!" Spike yelled.

Gohan also dashed forward, hopefully able to prevent what was to come.

But...

Luna and Cadence announced at the very same time-

"Now!"

Twilight unleashed the magic, and...

CHING!

Flash of light!

A huge purple shockwave was sent, pushing everyone back!

Everyone but Gohan ended up on the ground...

"Why did you do that!?" He yelled.

Twilight held a purple orb of magic in front of her...

It was really powerful...

It forced her to float up to the sky...

And she dropped the compass on the ground.

The orb got bigger and bigger, pulling Twilight in.

Her glasses fell off...

Everyone else managed to stand up, but stood back.

'What is she doing...!?' Gohan thought.

Twilight strained and struggled against the pull...

Her arms were enveloped...

Cinch and her fellow teammates moved back...

"Help...!" Twilight called out, tearing up.

She managed to pull one of her arms out...

But nobody could reach her from her.

"...me...!" She sobbed.

She was completely pulled in, and let out a terrifying scream.

Now she's just inside the magic...

Absorbing all of it's power.

Finally...

BAKOOM!

A huge flash of light ensued!

Everyone had to avert their eyes...

Twilight suddenly had a purple dot on her forehead...

But her whole body mutated.

First, she got much bigger than before...

Her shoes were now very sharp magical boots...

She gained two gigantic purple wings...

Fiery purple and magenta hair, blue fiery glasses, a very corroded blue horn, and blue eyes.

Her dress was purple again, with extra sharp crystals and shit.

She also had a very dark purple tail...

Spike whimpered and cowered...

Cinch started walking backwards to avoid the situation...

Twilight was now Midnight Sparkle...

She laughed manically!

Then she turned to Sunset.

"You were right! I didn't understand magic before, but I do now!" She yelled.

Her horn glowed blue, and she fired a blue blast out from her palm!

Right at the Wondercolts' statue...

And that just exploded.

Everyone but Gohan averted their eyes again.

A portal appeared where the statue was...

To Ponyville.

"Equestria...!?" Sunset asked.

"That's what that place looks like?" Gohan asked.

The portal then created a magical crack in the ground...

All the way to where the main gang was.

Midnight was ready to fire another portal at them.

"Get out of the way!" Gohan yelled.

Everyone hopped out of the way as Midnight created another portal, this time to the Rainbow Falls...

Students started to run away, like reasonable people.

Midnight was now just creating portals for the hell of it.

Cinch was about to run away, until Sunny Flare spotted her...

"Hey! Where are you going!?" She yelled.

"Anywhere to avoid that... monster! And I suggest you do the same!" Cinch said, running in high heels.

Sunny Flare and the rest didn't really know what to do.

This was catastrophic, what they're done.

"Twilight!" Sunset yelled.

"You can't do this!" She yelled.

"That's right!" Gohan yelled.

"You are a woman of science! How could you commit such atrocities!?" He asked.

"Excuse you, mustard gas would like a word!" Twilight yelled.

"Uh, excuse you! Solar energy has something to say!" Gohan yelled.

"Excuse you! Anthrax has an opinion on that!" Twilight yelled.

"Excuse you! Penicillin would like to chime in!" Gohan yelled.

...

"...The atom bomb." Midnight said.

Gohan took a very deep breath...

...

"...Me." He said, bending his arms.

"HRAAAGH!"

His yellow aura exploded, and his power skyrocketed!

Midnight looked in shock.

Gohan's friends looked in joy.

Midnight quickly collected herself...

"You? Is that a joke? Don't make me laugh!" She yelled, aiming her palm at Gohan.

Gohan grunted before he leapt from the ground.

"Get her!" Rainbow Dash cheered.

He kept his aura...

"You moron!" Midnight yelled.

She fired a blue blast right at him!

But Gohan made his aura flare even brighter as he flew at it.

The blast disintegrated on contact with his aura!

Midnight couldn't see the blue blast getting destroyed...

Then...

WHAM!

He elbowed Midnight right in the cheek!

"Dah!" Midnight yelled, flying back for space.

Now she was even more shocked because there's a flying man who changed his hair color.

Gohan stared daggers back at her.

"What...!? What are you!?" Midnight asked.

The Crystal Prep students were very shocked at this, too.

"I'm your opponent." Gohan said, letting his aura die out.

"How are you flying without wings...!?" Midnight asked.

"The better question is, why aren't I kicking your face in?" Gohan asked.

"What kind of question like that relates to my-"

BAM!

Gohan did exactly that, kick her right in the face.

"Urgh! Cheap shot...!" Midnight yelled.

She fired another blue portal blast at Gohan, who fired a yellow ki blast in return.

The two clashed and died out...

"Grr... How did I not get your magic...!?" Midnight asked.

"This isn't magic. Regardless, my power isn't for the taking." Gohan said.

Then, Gohan aimed his palm at Midnight.

He fired three yellow ki blasts at once!

Midnight grinned and let the blasts reach her.

As soon as they touched her, they...

Dripped inside her?

There was no explosion or anything on impact.

"What?" Gohan muttered.

From behind him, a portal emerged...

The portal was into some black place, but...

All three ki blasts came out, and blasted Gohan from behind!

He recoiled forward, and Midnight flew after him.

She fired another blue blast from her palm!

Gohan was able to respond in time, and fired another yellow blast from his palm.

They clashed again, and they both disappeared.

Gohan started moving backwards as Midnight was chasing him.

Another portal appeared behind him...

On instinct, he flew up!

The yellow blast he fired before came through that portal...

Midnight ignored the blast and flew up towards Gohan.

"No matter what you throw at me, I'll send it back!" She yelled.

Gohan made his aura flare.

"Luckily for me..." He said, flying down at Midnight.

Before she could even respond-

WHAM!

Gohan punched her right in the cheek!

Then he cupped his hands over his head, and brought them crashing down!

"I don't need projectiles!" He yelled.

BAM!

Midnight was knocked down, flying towards the ground!

Gohan made his aura flare and immediately flew to where Midnight would eventually be.

He threw an upwards kick, but Midnight suddenly vanished, leaving blue flames.

Gohan slowly floated down to the ground.

He stared right at his friends and the remaining Crystal Prep students...

Then he did a turnaround roundhouse kick!

He deflected a blue blast to the sky!

Midnight was in the sky, floating...

She growled.

"I'm getting annoyed with you...!" She said.

Gohan just stared at her.

Midnight had some blue smoke appearing from her body...

Gohan noticed a power up...

So he jumped and charged at Midnight!

Midnight was growling even louder, and...

As soon as Gohan got remotely close...

She released a blue shockwave of magic!

Along with an enraged power boost, she sent Gohan flying backwards...

Gohan managed to land on the ground with his feet and one arm...

Then, Midnight just appeared in front of him, winding up a blue magical fist!

WHAM!

Punched him right in the face!

Instinctively...

While flying, Gohan aimed two fingers at Midnight, and fired a weak yellow blast.

Then he did a backflip before landing on his two feet.

Midnight grinned and absorbed the blast.

'Gah... Not again!' Gohan thought, trying to predict where it'll be next.

However, it never came.

Midnight just charged ahead.

Gohan forgot about the blast and charged ahead as well.

Then...

They clashed, grabbing each other's hands and trying to press ahead.

As they strained and pushed forward, Gohan made his yellow aura flare and Midnight made her blue magical aura flare.

Eventually, red sparks appeared where their hands were...

Then, Midnight grinned...

Suddenly, a portal emerged from behind Gohan...

His blast got him right in the back!

"Ngh...!" He grunted.

Midnight took advantage, and went forward to headbutt him.

BAM!

They let go of each other's hands, and Midnight let out another blue shockwave to send Gohan flying.

But, Gohan instantly recovered and disappeared from sight.

Midnight looked at where he was quizzically.

Gohan was behind her, winding up his fist below.

"Wha...? Where did y-"

WHAM!

Gohan uppercutted Midnight to the skies!

"Dah!" Midnight yelled, flipping over once to recover.

She stared down at the Saiyan in anger.

Then...

"Twilight!" Spike called.

Midnight looked down at her pup, and...

"You have to stop! Look at what you've done!" Spike said.

But Midnight just cackled.

"Oh, Spike... You'd only understand if you had this power..." She said.

The newfound power changed her for the worse.

"You're not the same, Twilight! Snap out of it!" Spike said.

Midnight was getting angry with Spike's stubbornness...

"I think you should be quiet!" She yelled, firing a blue blast from her palm.

Spike, disheartened by her action, braced for impact...

But an orange blur saved him before-

BOOM!

Another portal, to the Crystal Empire, appeared.

Only from the very top, though.

Gohan held Spike with both hands...

"Your opponent is me!" He yelled, placing Spike down.

"If you try again, you'll make me mad!" He yelled.

"You're a real bother. Two brilliant minds can come together and find new things we could never discover without magic!" Midnight said.

"...I don't follow." Gohan said.

"Everyone else doesn't matter, the knowledge is the most important thing! If we teamed up, and looked into every possible magic and energy... We would be unstoppable!" Midnight said excitedly.

"If you think I'll turn on my planet just for the sake of knowledge, you're delusional." Gohan said.

Midnight looked very angry at this...

"Your dog is right, you really need to stop. I'll kill ya if you don't figure it out." Gohan said.

"Just shut up and die!" Midnight yelled, charging up some blue magic in her palm.

Then, Gohan just teleported in front and above her-

"You first." He muttered, before winding up his foot.

BAM!

Midnight was sent down towards a portal...

A portal to Ponyville.

Gohan trailed her, and was ready to dropkick her!

WHAM!

Midnight was just hurled into the portal to Ponyville, and Gohan trailed her inside again.

They were gone from everyone else's sights...

"Is everyone alright?" Applejack asked.

"Nobody got hurt... I think." Rarity said.

"Alright..." Indigo said.

"You all have some explaining to do." She said.

"That guy is weird, alright? He held back until Twilight went rogue." Rainbow Dash said.

Fluttershy walked away. Off screen.

"Y'all need to explain why y'all let Twilight just do that." Applejack said.

Sunset looked to the fallen compass on the ground...

"Principal Cinch made her do it!" Sunny Flare said, being defensive.

"Well, now the poor guy's fighting again!" Pinkie said.

Fluttershy came back to the discussion with a very sad Spike in her arms.

"He doesn't like to fight..." She said, petting Spike.

"I don't believe you." Sugarcoat said.

"We've been around him for months, it's pretty obvious." Sunset said.

"But that's not important! How can we get Twilight back?" Spike asked.

"...Did he just talk?" Indigo asked.

"That's not important either!" Spike said.

"He's right." Sunset said.

"Beating her within an inch of her life isn't very orthodox..." Rarity said.

"And we don't have our Twilight to bring the magic out..." Fluttershy said.

"...You're right." Rarity said.

"Ugh, I feel so useless...! We're just relying on him..." Fluttershy said.

"...You're wrong." Sunset said.

"What?" Fluttershy asked.

Sunset walked over to the fallen compass and picked it up.

She closed it, and the compass started detecting magic again.

Rainbow Dash suddenly had her blue aura...

Actually, everyone else suddenly gained their aura.

Rarity's purple, Fluttershy's yellow, Applejack's orange, and Pinkie's pink.

Then, Sunset emitted her own aura-

A red one.

Sunset immediately opened the compass, and-

Suddenly, magic shot out from each individual with magic...

Their hair also flew up.

There were streams of different colors traveling to the compass...

Sunset held the compass up, and it absorbed every little bit of magic they had left...

Then...

The flow to the compass stopped.

Each of the magical girls fell to their knees...

Their magic was completely drained now.

Sunset looked at the purple orb of magic she managed to muster up...

And smiled.

"This'll do it..." She muttered.

Well, now Midnight and Gohan were clashing above Ponyville.

They clashed with all sorts of punches and kicks as they traveled downwards.

For some reason, neither of them were turning into ponies.

The nearby pegasi looked in confusion and awe.

Gohan ended this clashing by flying back and making his aura flare.

At this point, every pony cleared the skies.

"You have one more chance, Twilight." Gohan said.

"I don't want to put you through hell." He said, speaking through his aura.

"You still think you can beat me!?" Midnight asked.

"Everything is powerless before me!" She yelled.

"...You ignorant child. I'm done holding back. I gave you your chance. Don't say I didn't warn you." Gohan said.

He exerted a little more force into his aura, grunted, and-

Sparks emerged, and his aura was a lot more jagged!

Gohan ascended into the next level!

"A stupid light show won't convince me!" Midnight yelled, flying straight at him.

Gohan let his aura die, and let Midnight get close.

She wound up her fist, aimed at his face, and-

WHAM!

She grinned, since she got the hit.

But...

Gohan didn't even move. No flinching-

No signs of knock back.

"What...!?" Midnight asked.

She threw another punch, but-

Gohan grabbed it with the same arm.

He grabbed her left wrist with his left hand.

Then, Midnight threw another fist!

Gohan caught it again.

Midnight strained and grunted trying to get out of the grip, but-

BAM!

Gohan kicked Midnight right in the chin!

Then he let go of her hands...

Before she could recover, Gohan slammed his other foot into her side!

Then, he slammed his fists one by one into her face!

Finally, he wound up his knee, and brought it right up to her stomach!

WHAM!

Midnight coughed loudly, grabbing her stomach...

But, again, Gohan wasn't going to ease up.

He threw a barrage of punches and kicks before she could even breathe again.

He was just laying into her with this never ending assault.

The others were helped up to their feet thanks to the Crystal Prep students...

And hey, some people are actually coming back.

Probably thought that the battle was over.

Sunset mustered the energy to stand up and shuffle over to her friends.

She carried the open compass over as well.

"How did you do that...?" Fluttershy asked.

"I'm not really sure, but... Gohan can use this to bring Twilight back." Sunset said.

Then, Midnight was hurled back into the regular world...

Gohan teleported to her side, and kicked her diagonally downwards!

Then-

CRASH!

She crashed on the ground, leaving a purple magic trail there.

She had plenty of scratches at this point.

She was also panting...

"Gohan!" Sunset yelled.

Gohan looked down at her, and-

"Catch!" Sunset yelled, chucking the open compass at Gohan.

He caught it with his left hand, and analyzed the magic in it...

"Use it on her! It'll bring her back!" Sunset yelled.

Despite the royal beating she just endured, Midnight cackled.

"Projectiles dont work on me!" She yelled.

"That's not always true." Gohan said.

"You're an idiot." Midnight said.

Gohan pulled the orb of magic out from the compass and kept it concentrated in his right hand.

He dropped the compass.

Gohan wound his arm up...

"Ka... me..."

He was charging up the Kamehameha in the same hand...

The result was a blue/purpleish orb forming in his hand.

"You moron!" Midnight yelled.

"What is he doing!?" Sour Sweet asked.

"Trust him..." Fluttershy muttered.

"He has this in the bag..." She said.

"...ha... me..."

Midnight was ready to absorb and dish out whatever Gohan was about to fire.

But she wasn't prepared for him to just vanish from sight.

"Huh...?" She muttered.

Gohan teleported behind her, and-

WHAM!

He slammed his other fist right into her lower back!

"GRAAH!" Midnight yelled.

"HA!"

Gohan slammed his magical hand into the ground below...

...

BAKOOM!

A giant white magical dome appeared, covering the two entirely!

Everyone else could not witness what was happening inside...

It was hard to see as it is.

Midnight was confused.

This whole area was just a white void...

But Gohan also appeared in front of her, making her blood boil.

She aimed her palm at him, and-

"Twilight, you know that it's not going to work." Gohan said.

Midnight knew that...

"I know you feel powerful right now, like you can have everything you want." Gohan said.

"But this isn't the way. You're not the first person to fall victim to greed." He said.

"Oh, you're wrong. Unlike you, I can have everything I want!" Midnight yelled.

"When will you accept that you're wrong?" Gohan asked, crossing his arms.

"As of right now, your power is being stripped away bit by bit. You have yet to realize that overwhelming power isn't everything." He said.

"Wha... What are you talking about?" Midnight asked.

"Even with all that magic and power, you'll still be alone. You'd have nobody." Gohan said.

"You were willing to destroy your best friend. You let this magic corrupt you. Even if you could beat me, you'd have nothing. You'd be nothing. What, you're the most powerful being of nobody?" He asked.

Midnight's eyes...

They reverted to Twilight's.

"Spike..." She muttered, feeling utterly guilty...

"So, are you willing to admit your mistake? Or are you going to remain power hungry and delusional?" Gohan asked.

"I... I want to fix everything... I want to undo this!" Midnight yelled.

"You can't undo it. But there's another path." Gohan said, uncrossing his arms.

"Like what!?" Midnight asked.

"Forgiveness. Listen, pretty soon, you'll be stripped of your power. But I can speak for us all when I say... We forgive you." Gohan said, smiling.

Then...

The dome of magic flashed a blinding white light!

Nobody could see what happened there...

Then, after the light died...

All the portals disappeared.

The differently colored magic flew back to the main cast.

One flew into the slab that used to hold the Wondercolts' statue...

The portal was functional again.

And there they were.

You know, looking around-

The only real damage was the statue.

The ground wasn't shattered to oblivion.

Twilight looked around, since everyone was staring...

She started to tear up.

"...I am so sorry... I didn't mean for any of this to happen..." She said.

Then, suddenly, Sunset put her hand on her shoulder from behind.

"I know. And going by my own experiences, they'll forgive you. I mean, he did it already." She said.

Those words managed to calm her down and stopped her crying...

...

Is that a certain bark a hear?

Spike tackle hugged Twilight, jumping right into her arms with her glasses!

"Spike!" She said happily, hugging him really hard.

"I'm so sorry I tried to blast you..." She said, all sad again.

"Eh, you weren't you. I'll let it slide." Spike said.

Twilight smiled as she put her glasses back on.

Then she giggled as she started petting and hugging him again.

What a beautiful moment...

Oh, hey, Cinch was hiding behind the bleachers this entire time.

Then, she noticed that the principals and Cadence were walking towards the scene...

So, she confronted them.

"Principal Celestia, on behalf of Crystal Prep, I demand that you forfeit the Friendship Games! Clearly, CHS has had unfair advantage for quite some time! And it's certainly obvious that your students have been using magic for their own benefit!" She yelled.

Nobody was on her side.

"I'd like to think that saving the world benefits us all." Celestia said, smugly.

Then Sugarcoat had to chime in...

"At least they didn't manipulate Twilight into releasing all the stolen magic and turning into a power-crazed magical creature that tried to rip the world apart just to win a game." She said, incredibly fast.

...

"...Wow! That's a lot to take in when you say it all at once." Pinkie said.

"That's ridiculous!" Cinch yelled.

"Nope, that's pretty much what happened." Spike said.

Well, you can't beat the testimony of a talking dog.

"Actually, we're all to blame..." Sour Sweet said, being all sweet.

"...Mostly it was her." She said sourly.

"...Obviously my students have been infected with your magic, but I plan on taking all of this up with the school board!" Cinch yelled.

"Good. I'm sure they would be very interested in hearing all about the magical students with wings and changing hair colors." Celestia said.

"Oh, and the portals to different dimensions." Luna said.

"And don't forget to tell them about the talking dog." Cadence said, giggling.

"Yeah, because all of this doesn't sound like something a child made up." Gohan said, reverting back to his base form.

He smirked.

"And that would never ruin your reputation." Spike sneered.

Everyone was against Cinch at this point.

Everyone stared at her angrily...

Cinch finally lost...

She was ready to explode in anger!

...But she just straightened her vest.

She turned around, and walked away.

That was nice.

Celestia decided to break the silence.

"Well, I know these Friendship Games haven't been what any of us expected, but given what we've all just been through, I think it's fair to declare us all winners." Celestia said.

Everyone turned to Gohan for approval...

"...I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with that statement, but I won't stop you. Two worlds weren't destroyed. Everyone wins, technically." Gohan said.

Then everyone cheered.

Yeah, like they won anything.

Later, everyone had gold medals.

Because everyone wins.

Twilight sat on the steps, caressing her dog.

Just hanging out.

Then Cadence walked up to her.

"I guess that was oneway to finish up your time at Crystal Prep. Pretty sure Cinch will be fast-tracking your application after all of that." She said, sitting beside Twilight.

"I've been thinking about it and... I'm not so sure now is the time for me to apply to Everton." Twilight said.

"Really?" Cadence asked excitedly.

"I may know about a lot of things, but friendship isn't really one of them. And I'm definitely not gonna learn more about it by being alone all the time." Twilight said.

"So... you're staying at Crystal Prep?" Cadence asked.

"Well, it seems the students here at CHS know an awful lot about the subject. I don't suppose..." Twilight said.

Cadence nodded.

"You could transfer to this school instead." She said.

"Really?" Twilight asked.

"You'd certainly be missed at Crystal Prep. But I think that's a great idea! I'll be sure to speak to Principal Celestia about it right away." Cadence said.

Now, in front of the broken portal slab...

Our usual gang were hanging around.

Just existing.

"Luckily. I didn't want to really hurt Twilight, but... it happened." Gohan said.

"I'm just glad those didn't translate to her regular body, because right now she'd have her entire skeleton shattered." He added.

"...Anyway..." Fluttershy said.

"Still no word from Princess Twilight?" She asked Sunset.

Sunset pulled out her trusty book to Equestria, flipped it open, and-

"Not yet. But I think I may have figured out how magic works in this world." Sunset said.

"We pony up when we're showing the truest part of ourselves. I was so busy waiting for someone else to give me the answers that I gave up looking for them myself. I'm sure there will be more magical problems that pop up in this world, but like Applejack said, Princess Twilight has her own problems to worry about in Equestria. We can't expect her to always be around to help us." She said.

Then Twilight and Celestia showed up.

"But maybe I can be?" Twilight asked sheepishly.

She held Spike.

"It seems we have a new Wondercolt here at Canterlot High!" Celestia said.

"I'm not sure how much help I could be. But I'd like to try. If you would all give me a chance..." Twilight said.

Aww, everyone wants to do that now.

"I'm sure I can count on you all to help her feel at home." Celestia said.

Then, Sunset wrapped an arm around Twilight.

"You sure can!" She said.

Then all the other girls just group hugged with Pinkie on top.

Aww.

"You guys have fun." Celestia said, walking away.

"...Okay, now, Son Gohan, was it?" Twilight asked.

The hug broke.

"Yep." Gohan said.

"One question. How!?" Twilight yelled.

Gohan chuckled.

"To make a long story short, I can utilize my life energy to fight." He said.

"The hair!?" Twilight asked.

"That came from pure rage." Gohan said.

"The blasts!?" Twilight asked.

"Just the life energy again." Gohan said.

"The aura!?" Twilight asked.

"Same answer." Gohan said.

"And I'll really confuse you with the next one." He said, facing the skies.

"Oh, what else could you possibly have in store...?" Twilight asked.

"NIMBUS!"

Then, the Flying Nimbus flew in, parking right in front of Gohan.

Twilight was relatively shocked, but nothing too sho-

"Okay, now you're sitting on a cloud!?" She asked.

Gohan sat crisscross on the cloud.

"Well, only those with a pure heart can actually ride it. My dad gave it to me years ago." He said.

"...Are you leaving already?" Fluttershy asked.

"I'm going fishing. You girls have fun." Gohan said, waving.

Then the Flying Nimbus just flew off, leaving that yellow streak.

...

"...He and Pinkie are contenders for the weird one in the group." Rainbow Dash said.

Later...

The seven just set up a picnic outside the portal.

Nothing special, a few sandwiches and juice boxes.

They had the red and white checkerboard pattern mat.

Just relaxing, sitting in a circle.

"...I swear, I will figure magic and life energy out." Twilight said.

"Heh. Good luck figuring him out." Rainbow Dash said.

"He won't even teach us how to use it." Pinkie said.

Then, the portal started shaking up.

Then...

Princess Twilight burst through, panting.

"I'm so sorry I didn't get here sooner! I didn't get your messages until just now because I was caught in this time travel loop and, honestly, it was the strangest thing that's ever happened to me!" She said, very quickly.

The regular, powerless Twilight stood up in confusion.

They stared at each other...

"...Make that the second strangest." Princess Twilight said.

Unfortunately, I will take a few weeks to post a chapter again pretty soon, so, sorry.
