The Equestrian Gastronomic Society
Chapter 4: Epilogue
Previous ChapterCelestia stepped forward with a fire in her eyes. It had been over a month since she last saw her sister, and her investigators had found out that the last consistent account of her appearance was her trotting into a strange nightclub tucked away in a seedy corner of the city. Her staff could find no account of her after that, and known patrons of the club all claimed to conveniently not notice her that night. Their efforts had been fruitless, but she was determined to get to the root of the matter even if she had to do it herself. She stomped passed the line to the front, looking down at the bouncers with a stern resignation.
“Oh my, Princess Celestia! We are honored that you grace our presence tonight!” Said the bouncer.
“I’m not here for pleasantries, good sir,” she said with an uncharacteristic firmness. “I’m here on serious business. I demand entry.”
The two bouncers shared a quick glance.
“Um, yes, right…Princess, the club requires a password to enter. Do you know it?” Asked the bouncer.
“No, but I demand entry on royal privilege. The matter at hoof concerns the wellbeing of Equestria. You will let me enter,” Celestia said, tapping her hoof on the cobblestone street.
The two bouncers shared another glance, this one more drawn out than before. Finally the older bouncer gave a subtle nod.
“Very well. Rules are rules. For you, Princess, a special green guest lapel. Welcome to the Equestrian Gastromic Society. Have a pleasant evening.”
