Chapter 1: We Need Thy Help!

We Need Thy Help!

Earth, United States, East Coast. Canterlot City. A nation in its own. With its sunny streets bustling with traffic, horns and overall good people saying hello, waving goodbye and working for their families. For their children who would go to the park to play in the sandpits while the father worked. And for the high-class executive checking their expensive watches from their high-class offices towering over the playgrounds below. Love flowed throughout the lives of Canterlot City's inhabitants.

But less so since a week ago. So much has happened that changed the views of six girls sitting on the front steps of a closed Canterlot High School. Away from the bustling of city life and more into the countryside of serene silence, where one could focus. Watching the streets behind that destroyed statue.

It used to be a horse, proudly rising up on its hooves as it fought back the darkness threatening to take over the sun. No one would have suspected that because of the sun it now lied in rubble.

The air around them was silent, save for the average leaf falling on the ground and the warm winds of Spring blowing hair into a living mass of colors. The spectrum hues of Rainbow Dash seemed to be less important when the one plastered in those colors weren't as bright. Twilight Sparkle the scientist, on her way to college with at least four scholarships already under her belt questioning the meaning of life after the loss of a loved one. Rarity in all her beauty and grace deciding to go natural and decline access to her own makeup kit in favor of mascara made of tears.

Pinkie Pie and her parties were non-existent for the entire Spring, and by the end of it, possibly for good. Applejack burying herself with work on the farm to the point where she may as well pay the bills and sell the apples herself. And Fluttershy, fearful of what the future will bring for her animals at the shelter if she wasn't strong enough to focus on them and not on the best friend she lost to violence.

All six were gazing out through the morning sun's rays with saddened expressions at the destroyed statue. Now clustered on the ground like a multitude of hopeless pebbles lying on each other. Where it all began.

The thestrals, Anemone and Amaryllis, otherwise known as Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo came through after Princess Celestia threw them through the mirror from Equestria's side by what was later confirmed to be a curse. Then shattered so they couldn't return, which in turn shattered the statue. They lived with Twilight, Shining Armor and Dean Cadance before a secret was told, revealing the hidden lives and struggles of Scootaloo and Amaryllis, both the same.

They've lived horribly after being abandoned by their caretakers. Amaryllis was abandoned for safety, the other because of disgust. Stories hidden in darkness were brought to light, the parents of Scootaloo were put on trial, and a battle as big as life claimed a friend. All to save Equestria and Earth.

They succeeded. Justice was given to Scootaloo, although it was clear it would still be a long road to recovery. And she and her sister Rainbow Dash have been given a new family that actually cares for the both of them. But there was one more thing that needed to happen. The life of Sunset Shimmer had to be remembered.

Their eyes locked in on the sidewalk in ahead of the school for quite some time, deep in thought and drowning in memories. Reminiscing on the events that ruined their summer, one much more so than the others. The victim of such a catastrophe wasn't here to say it.

The silence was interrupted every now and then by the ever so casual wind, shuffling their clothes and sending much appreciated feelings down their skin.

Fluttershy broke out of her trance first and wiped at her eyes behind her messy pink hair. They measured the picture of peace in front of her. To the birds landing on the path in front of her, dancing around to pick at a plastic bag then fly up to the blue cloudless skies once more.

Applejack broke the peace by turning to Rainbow Dash and timidly asking, "How's your sister?"

Rainbow sighed and threw the rock she was tossing around onto the sidewalk. It impacted and rolled to a stop a few feet away. How was Scoots? How was her sister? Such a strange term she still wasn't used to. Her sister.

"Scootaloo's... struggling," she admitted sadly. "Actually having a home and not being alone, not living in the woods, and not having to dig through garbage for food... Her old habits are not easy to break."

Twilight glanced up to Rainbow's face from the comfort of her shoulder and stammered, "She's..."

Rainbow sighed and pulled Twilight close to feel her warmth. "Yeah... Whenever she gets hungry. So me and mom—never thought I'd get to say this... Mom and I have been working together to get her away from the trash. That's pretty much all she's having problems with that we can see so far. Besides the recurring nightmare and constant crying over how her body looks."

"All those scars," Rarity whispered. A nightmare in her mind of the nightmare hidden under those clothes flashed before her eyes. She buried her face in her hands and added, "There has to be over fifty of them."

"There's fifty eight. Including the gash. She's not taking it well so we do what we can by keeping them out of sight with long clothing. She doesn't like anyone looking at them. I wish I would've known in the past. I wish i would've known something."

Rainbow was always punishing herself for not noticing the signs earlier. But Scootaloo hid them so well that no one noticed the signs until Amaryllis told them. She needed to stop blaming herself.

Twilight gave her a hug and a kiss to the cheek. "There's nothing to do about those ignorant parents of yours now," she whispered. "And I really really doubt you'll see them ever again."

Rainbow nodded and started combing her fingers softly through Twilight's ponytail. Each time she did that Twilight would blush and press deeper into her side. One of her sweet spots only Rainbow had the honor of discovering.

"I never thought," Rarity said suddenly. "That I'd see the day Rainbow Dash would get so soft." The blood powering the hand combing through Twilight's hair flowed up to redden her cheeks in embarrassment.

"W-Well you can be awesome by being soft too," she retorted.

"Let alone be in a relationship," Applejack added. "How did that happen?"

"At the... Oh no...." They all looked turned to Twilight shaking her head. "I can't believe we forgot." Sadness took back over in the form of a panic. There was one more person left who didn't know about Sunset Shimmer's passing. One of the first people who should've been told.

"Forgot what?" Rarity asked tentatively.

"Juniper. Sunset's girlfriend." Realization froze their hearts and turned their attention to the space in front of them. "They only went on one date. And Juniper was practically in love with Sunset."

It was no secret that love crackled between them on the first date. Sunset could barely talk about her without cracking up nervously.

"Speak of the devil... And she shall appear," Rarity whispered. A clammer of quick footsteps from the sidewalk made them all look up to see a girl with pale yellow skin wearing a black skirt and a teal shirt covered by a purple jacket running straight towards them. She looked distraught, tears pouring down her face behind her purple eyeglasses. She slid to a stop in front of the group, catching her breath.

"Please...." Juniper cried desperately. "Please tell me it's not true... Please..."

Twilight sighed and closed her eyes before responding. "We're starting a fundraiser... To have a monument created at the front of the school in place of the old statue. I'm so sorry, Juniper. We're all struggling to realize she's gone." Juniper's face scrunched up before she fell dropped to her knees and buried her face into her hands, wailing with tears.

Fluttershy got up and briskly walked over. Then kneeled down and cradled her head in her arms, cooing sweet things into her ear. The others did the same thing, all of them mourning the loss of their friend. Unaware that she was actively looking down at them from the roof of the school.

Sunset Shimmer was sitting on the edge looking down upon the scene. Even wiyh the passage of time, she was still dressed up as Daydream Shimmer without the horn, eye shadow, and sun-white wings. She was still wearing the dress, with the bands on her shoulders that held her cutie marks. Same thing with her high heels. She was forever stuck with these clothes.

She sighed in sadness, sending out another breeze that ruffled the tops of her friends' hair down below. The light from the sun was bending through her form, as if she wasn't there. "Who knew being a ghost could be so... Surreal," she muttered to herself.

"Is thou... Is thou real?" Sunset gasped at the voice and turned into her blue ball of light, preparing to fly away. "Wait! Stop! We needs thou help!" The blue ball of light stopped a few feet away from the edge of the school before it came back and hovered over the roof. There was a girl there completely green themed with light pink eyes wearing a light green ball dress of some sort, definitely old fashioned like she grew up in the Victorian era.

Sunset formed back into her look and landed back on the roof before asking, "Who are you?"

"Thy name is Green Hope!" She said desperately. "We have been stuck on these grounds for decades! We need to get off! Please! Can you help us?" Sunset's eyes widened before the girl flowed over to her and grabbed her lightly by the shoulder, looking into her eyes with her pleading ones. Sunset gasped lightly at the sensation of someone touching her. She was... A ghost. Just like her.

Sunset touched her arm in wonder before asking quickly, "You've been stuck here?"

"Yes! We used to be a mage in Canterlot nearly a thousand years ago! We gave up our life for our friends and used a spell to bring us back partly. But the spell was incomplete before we died! It has trapped our soul on this wretched land while we have watched for years as it grew! Expanding larger and wider, unable to travel it!"

"You've been trapped here for centuries?" Sunset asked in disbelief. She couldn't imagine going through that. Personally, she would have gone crazy by now.

"Yes! We need someone to finish our spell! Can thy please help?"

Sunset looked back at her before she sighed and took a deep breath. "Okay. I will see what I can do. My name is Sunset Shimmer by the way. But you can call me Triple S. Sunset Shimmer's Spirit." Green Hope chuckled.

"Thy name has planted an image of the sun in our mind. Do you really think you can let us out?" She asked hopefully.

"I might not be able to... But I know someone that can. And more than likely will." She turned back around and motioned towards her friends walking down the street. "They may be able to help. But I can't reveal myself to them at this moment. I need to get to Equestria. Do you know any portal spells?"

"They are very old fashioned," Green Hope responded quickly. "Instead of instantly, it would lead you to where you need to go slowly."

"Can you teach them to me?"

Beyond what was left of the portal lied Equestria. A land of kind, pastel-coloured ponies of all shapes and sizes who lived by the terms of Friendship. Earth Ponies, Pegasi and Unicorns all. Friendship was what united the most noticeable cities of this loving nation. Cloudsdale for The Pegasi, Canterlot for the Unicorns, and Appleloosa for the Earth Ponies. All under the one roof of Friendship.

Then there was Ponyville. A small town south of Canterlot that the embodiments of The Elements of Harmony called home. Underneath the sunny sky and the flapping wings of flying Pegasi was Applejack's apple farm. Yards upon yards of tasty apples that built the foundation of Equestria. A historical landmark itself, the Castle in the distance not withstanding.

Beyond the farm, up the dirt path leading to the middle of town were the respective businesses of Equestria's very own Pinkie Pie, and the fashion designer Rarity. If you needed a quick fix full of sugar, icing, and sweets of any kind, than Equestria's favorite party pony has you covered. From Chocolate Berry Cupcakes topped off with sprinkles, baked with so much sugar it would drive Celestia crazy, to wedding cakes with so much chocolate one would wonder where she gets her inventory, Pinkie's goods were sure to give you a start!

Carousel Boutique was the home of Equestria's most promising fashion designer. Her home resembled exactly a carousel. A two floored building shared with her little sister. The building was small on the outside, but it was definitely large on the inside. Yet for some reason, Rarity has been complaining about running out of space.

The Element of Kindness was Fluttershy. A Pegasus so shy one would have thought she never grew up around Ponies her entire life, and instead grew up around all those animals she was hoarding in her cottage on the edge of Ponyville, next to the Everfree Forest. It was a beautiful place, complete with a small stream that crossed under the bridge leading up to her door. So timid one would have forgotten she even existed if it weren't for the fact that she was a common face around town.

Above Fluttershy's friendly cottage, was the castle in the sky. The Cloudominium belonging to Equestria's fastest flyer and the Element of Loyalty, Rainbow Dash. Her home dwarfed any building down below. The rainbow that curved over her building's roof reflected a peaceful serenity onto the citizens below. Although, for the last few weeks it has been unoccupied for obvious reasons.

The shadow of The Cloudominium casted down on the final structure belonging to the Elements of Harmony. The Castle of Friendship, the home of Princess Twilight Sparkle, one of the Four Ruling Princesses in Equestria. She was the one who brought them together, she was the pony any creature in Equestria would refer to involving the amends of Friendship. But after that happened... She wasn't feeling too friendly.

The castle was set behind Ponyville in a large green field of peace. A single pathway leading into town also lead up to the Castle's front doors. Beyond those doors were the large halls of the Castle of Friendship. There were so many doors that anyone could get lost in here. But not Twilight Sparkle, Spike, or Starlight Glimmer. Her student. Well her second student.

Just thinking about past events had put Twilight into what was suspected as severe depression. Or maybe it was a rage of sadness. Either way, her friends, her family, and Starlight haven't been able to get around to her for the last few days. There was telling where she was in this massive castle. But there was one place they have seen her for the last few days.

A bird landed on the second floor windowsill of this castle facing Ponyville. A beautiful pigeon that no doubt just took a bath at Fluttershy's. It's blue feathers were immaculate. It's talons were clean. IT tweeted a beautiful song in celebration before a violet spell hit the area next to it. Frightened, it took back to the air while Twilight stalked towards the window with anger in her eyes, looking out at Equestria.

She sighed and took a seat in the sun's glow. But it didn't bring her any warmth. IT only brought it back to the present once and again. She looked from Ponyville to Cloudsdale, reminiscing. It's been almost two weeks since Sunset's passing and she hasn't been seen, and she hasn't moved on. She knew it wasn't her fault, but her friend, her student, a very close friend... Was no longer with them.

By this time, Cadance and her family had heard about what had happened, and sent their deepest condolences. But Twilight didn't need condolences. One of her friends, one of her students... Died protecting her. And she never even got to say thank you.

She growled and jabbed at the window in front of her. The glass shattered from the impact of frustration, anger, and sadness. "Why?!" She yelled. "Why did this have to happen?!"

"Twilight–"

"What?!" She snapped. Her head swiveled around to face the interruption behind her. Starlight Glimmer. Standing there with a look of pity. She sniffled before turning back to the window, taking a deep breath. She sighed and whispered, "What do you want, Starlight?"

"Twilight you need to let go of this anger," Starlight calmly warned, stepping closer to her. "It's not your fault about what happened. It's Zolan's."

"But I could've done something! I could have healed her!"

"And all of your friends would have burned in fire. Twilight, you need to accept that she's gone."

"Leave! Now!" The Princesses, Applejack, Rarity, Spike, Twilight's parents, Pinkie, and Fluttershy looked up from the bottom of the staircase at Starlight. She was running away from a high stream of spells aimed at her, impacting the walls and decorations, leaving large scorch marks.

Once she was around the corner, she trotted towards everyone and motioned towards the corner, breathing loudly. "THAT'S what happens when we talk to her. Daily."

Celestia looked back up at the stairs when something else was broken or thrown. "She is angry at herself," Luna thought aloud. "And it is controlling her."

"Can't we do somethin'?" Applejack asked her. "She's losin' it."

"We can always do the circle thing." Cadance suggested. "We force her to participate and talk out her true feelings about the situation. Because the deep breath tactic will not work at this time."

"An intervention is a good idea," Spike agreed immediately. "Because I'm getting tired of fixing broken windows, reordering thrown books, and running away when she sees me."

"Okay everyopony, wait in the library," Celestia ordered. "I will retrieve her."

***

With careful and quiet hooves, Celestia walked around the corner of the damaged crystal hallway, sighing silently at the scene. Anything that was decorative, or anything at all that wasn't in a room, was destroyed. Broken into pieces that had burned or sharp edges.

Celestia looked up from the damage at Twilight, who was looking out the window with tears streaming down her face, silently sobbing. She wanted to run over and pull her into a tight hug. But instead, Celestia took a deep breath, lit her horn, and encased her in a box, like how Twilight made for Zolan.

Twilight gasped, jumped up, and looked around in confusion. Realizing the situation, she started hitting the containment shield angrily. "Let me out! Let me out right now, you insolent thing!" Celestia turned around and walked back downstairs with the angry Twilight behind her. She turned to magic to break open the box. Her spells were strong. But Celestia was a little stronger.

She walked into the room and set Twilight down in the middle, but kept the box around her. "What is this?! Just what do you think you're doing?!" Twilight yelled. She continued trying multiple spells on the box before the intervention began.

"Twilight," Cadance started calmly, immediately catching her angry wet gaze. "We want to talk to you about your anger, frustrations, and sadness lately."

"Don't bother!" She yelled. "All you're going to do is tell me to take deep breaths to calm down! News flash! It's pathetic!" Everyone gasped lightly while Twilight continued to ram her way out. Celestia sighed, already seeing where this was going.

"Twilight, it ain't safe," Applejack tried to console. "You have to release those feelings of loss."

"Oh?" Twilight responded back before she trotted towards the her side. "Like how you release your frustrations of losing your own parents by growing apples and mixing cider? Both which taste disgusting, might I add!!" She yelled and bucked at the side of the shield where Applejack's face of disbelief was, growling in anger.

"Darling, we understand you're upset," Rarity tried. "But it still isn't like you to chastise your friends."

"I don't care what you think!" Before they could speak, she continued speaking, crying hard at the same time. "Because I lost mine! None of you know what it's like to have a very close friend die for you and have NO WAY to say thank you! She's gone and there's NOTHING I could do! I failed her! I failed Sunset Shimmer! She gave so much to me! An opportunity to reform somepony away from Equestria and show them the luxury of having a friend when she had none! Then she gave ME a friend! She showed me, the teacher, the meaning of being a friend to an enemy! Before, when Starlight was evil, I actually wanted to throw her into Tartarus!"

Starlight's eyes widened while she looked into Twilight's tear streaked face, eyes red from tears. "I had the spell ready as well as the materials. I was going to open the entrance, throw you inside and lock it down with runes that you can't even see! Because taking a pony's cutie mark is exactly like taking a pony's life! But then I thought about Sunset Shimmer and how far she fell! And how I helped her. And I was determined to do it again! We reformed her? She said thank you! She saved our lives, all of our lives?! I couldn't even say goodbye! I failed! I failed, I failed, I FAIIIILED!"

Twilight fell in her pool of tears, crying loudly into her hooves, tears streaming from her eyes. "I'm so sorry, Sunset! You're gone because I failed you like the failure I am! I'm so sorry, everypony that I said those mean and awful things! I'm so sorry that I can't be a better teacher! I'm so sorry that nothing's like the way we wanted because of me! I failed everypony!"

"You didn't fail!" They looked over in surprise at Anemone who walked in suddenly, slowly making her way towards the box. Upon arrival she stood up on her rear hooves and placed both her forehooves on it before continuing.

"Twilight, Scootaloo is now in safe hooves, er... Hands on Earth now because of this! She is alive because of you! As well as all of us! I know how you feel Twilight!" She dropped down and slowly trotted over to the side where Twilight's head was visible, her face buried in her hooves, wailing. "When Zolan attacked the colony years ago I witnessed the death of ALL my friends!"

Twilight's head shot up in surprise like everyone else, gawking at Anemone, who began recalling the moment. "I was in the Atrium when it happened. I was talking to my five friends after leaving a food depository when somepony screamed. Then another. And another. Until everypony started running, screaming, and flying. The guards had ran in and started swinging, the first pony to go down a pregnant mare. Never forget her. All of those guards were unicorns experienced in battle magic. Because they shot down the thestrals trying to fly to safety and killed them when they fell on the ground, trying to stand. My friends and I all attempted to split up to get home to our families when a group of guards came, cornered us, and killed them. I bucked and bashed my attacker away, but my friends never made it. They stabbed first, decapitated second. And I saw all of it. If it wasn't for my fast speed I would've followed after them."

They were looking at her in horror and pity while she sighed to the ground, and took a seat. Then lifted her head to pierce Twilight's sad eyes with her own. "Luckily I was able to grab my sister and escape with her in safe hooves before I had to leave her once more. After that, I found a dark and quiet place... And cried. I cried for my parents, I cried for my close friends, and I cried for every last pony—foal and adult—in my colony. Because nopony else made it out. But at the end of the day, I still saved a life. My little sister is alive and my father gave his life so he can protect us. And so I could protect Amaryllis. I know how it feels when you think you failed somepony."

Twilight sat up, sniffled, and wiped her eyes before training them on Anemone, who continued. "When Amaryllis told me she was living on the streets, and outside for years on her own, I felt like I failed my father. He protected me from the Guard so I could protect my sister. And I failed. She was living on her own. And I had no idea."

"How do you... How do you fix it?" Twilight whimpered hopefully. Celestia lowered the shield when Twilight trotted closer to her.

Anemone sighed and shook her head. "You can't undo what has already happened in the past. You can only be prepared for the future and assure that same mistake never happens again. So until she's old enough, Amaryllis is stuck to me like super glue. Bet you didn't notice, but she's locked underneath me now. Literally. Right now, I'm standing over her. I think she's tired."

Anemone lifted her wings when they looked underneath her body, where an orange thestral with a shield for a cutie mark was looking at Twilight, baring her sharp fangs and looking horrified.

"She's holding me hostage!" She yelled.

"Oh quiet, you like being away from the sun, all Thestrals do. Come out and say hi, squirt." Amaryllis squeezed through her legs, shook herself, and quickly grabbed hold of Twilight's hooves securely.

"You have to do something!" She pleaded up to the Princess. "Anemone just won't. Let. Me. Go. Each time I get out, she literally pulls me back in!"

Twilight chuckled and sniffed while rubbing Amaryllis' Magenta mane. "And what should I do?"

She pointed a hoof at her sister and yelled, "Go on a date with her!" Everyone in the room gasped before focusing on Anemone who grabbed Amaryllis' tail by her magic and pulled her back under, her cyan cheeks red in embarrassment.

"Er, enough of that! I have no idea what she's talking about guys."

"Yes you do!" Amaryllis corrected. "You said, 'Fine, I'll ask her out when—'" A pink cupcake was thrown into her mouth, stopping her mid sentence.

Anemone pushed Applejack's snickering back into the dark corner of her mind. "What I was trying to say is that you can't let these things control your future. All we can do now is make sure it never happens again. Okay?"

Twilight took a deep breath and nodded before she gave Anemone a hug. "Thanks, Rainbow." She returned the hug quickly before the two pulled back. Twilight stopped for a moment and sniffed her. "You smell like strawberries."

"Oh yeah, me and Amaryllis were eating strawberries earlier and the juice got everywhere. I mean like, my mane, coat, all over the place."

"Nuh uh!" Amaryllis denied before poking her head out from in between her sister's forelegs again, looking up at Twilight. "She just made a bunch of strawberry juice, turned it into a substance, and smeared it on herself to smell good so she can have you!" Another cupcake was thrown into her mouth before Anemone grabbed her in her teeth, hefted her up, and trotted towards the door.

"You talk too much, ya' twerp!" She scolded as they walked into hall, their voices still carrying into the room. "Now stop spreading rumors and eat the cupcake I got from Pinkie's tail!"

"Plech! No!" Amaryllis yelled after spitting out the cupcake. "You just need to ask—"

"Be quiet! You know where to find me, Twilight."

"Of course she does! You leave her notes all the time around the castle!" The front door closed, shrouding the castle in stunned silence.

"Well... That was unexpected," Twilight Velvet commented. But she couldn't deny that did yhe trick. She trotted up to her daughter and delivered a motherly nuzzle. "Are you okay, dear? I hate seeing you that way."

Twilight took a deep breath and quickly nodded her head. "I'll be fine. Thanks to Anemone. I'm so sorry, everypony, I shouldn't have said those things."

"Yeah, I wonder how she knew what was going on," Cadance asked in wonder.

Celestia chuckled before responding with, "A thestral's ears are very sensitive. She could've been flying overhead and heard her 'beloved' Twilight's crying. So she dropped in and decided to cheer her up. With cute little Amaryllis' humor as backup."

"I am not cute!" They all looked back at the door where Amaryllis' tiny body flew back in and landed on Twilight's head. "I'm scary. See?" She tried to give a hiss and ended up with only a tiny whistling.

"Awwwww!"

"Stop it! I'm scary!" She closed her eyes tight and tried to hiss again, flapping her little wings for good measure to assure maximum fear... Only for it to be the complete opposite.

Fluttershy squealed, zipped forward, and pull her into a tight hug. "Oh my gosh! You're... You're so cute! I want one just like you!"

"I'm not a doll, you can't own me! And stop squeezing me! You're supposed to run away from me, not run TO me! This is SO not awesome!"

"There you are!" They looked towards the door where Anemone was standing with narrowed eyes, steam puffing out her nose before trotting into the room and plucking her out of Fluttershy's hooves yo look her sister in the eyes. "You are not revealing anymore secrets! Even if I have to stuff a vine of grapes in your mouth!"

Applejack smirked before asking, "I thought those were rumors. Are you sayin' they're true?"

Anemone's coat paled in realization. But before anyone could question it, a light green flash ignited in the middle of the group, startling them. Anemone gasped and threw her sister underneath her legs for protection while everyone else gathered their magic, facing the portal. The light collected into a small dot before growing into a large green portal.

Rarity glanced towards the Princesses and asked, "Any idea?"

"Nope," Twilight answered. "I've never seen a green portal before."

"This is old magic," Celestia explained, horn at the ready. "Whoever created this is really old fashioned. Nopony uses this anymore."

Five Minutes Earlier

Since she answered yes, Sunset settled back down on the roof in front of Green Hope, reading on how to complete the spell. Just like Green Hope said, it was obviously a much older spell. But something was a little off about it.

"Hey Green Hope?" Sunset asked suddenly, catching the older ghost's attention. "I noticed... That this is Equestrian writing. Are you... An Equestrian?"

Glancing up, she smiled and nodded. "Yes. We were a mage there in thy home city of Canterlot many moons ago like we said. There was a fight that sparked where a pony caused massive damage and savagery in Canterlot underneath the Royal Guards' noses. We came up with a plan to rid of the pony before they could cause any more damage with thy friends as assistants. We were going to send them to Tartarus. The pony was a Kirin."

"Half dragon, half pony," Sunset assumed.

"Yes. Thou had sharp claws and a sharp ended tail. Like a malleable spear. He was going to spear through thy friends like a shish kabob and kill them all. So we jumped in and let it impale us." Sunset looked at her in respect while she continued. "While still impaled, we grabbed a hard stone nearby and bashed thy head with it before we both fell into the portal. We looked behind us and gave our friends a goodbye smile before it closed.

"A little while after, we landed in a forest in this very location, on the same spot we are sitting at this very moment. We began the spell, but we died before we could complete it, thy wretched tail still in thy body. When we woke up, we saw our body lying on the ground. As well as the Kirin. Lifeless. We flew away before bashing into a barrier. We tried different locations of the forest but had the same result. It was a square that thy soul was trapped in. And we could not leave. We screamed for help for many suns and many moons, hoping somepony would come. Nopony did. So we went underground and slept for over centuries, waking up for a few suns and moons and hoping somepony, or someone, could help us."

"How long have you been here exactly?" Sunset asked in sadness. Green Hope sighed and looked down the hallway they were in front of before focusing back on Sunset.

"Six hundred seventeen years in future suns."

Sunset sighed and reached out, grabbing her hand in hers. "I promise Green... I'm going to help you off this land. Now let's get this spell started, I've been writing and calculating too long." Sunset laid down the pen before she stood up and rubbed her hands together.

Green Hope stood up as well and placed her hand on her shoulder. "Will they receive thy well?"

"They won't even know who I am." Sunset sent the spell out through her fingertips and into the area in front of her, creating a light green portal that made Green Hope gasp. "How long will it take to get there?"

"At most three minutes."

"Then I had better get going. I'll be back. I hope this portal stays open."

"If thy do not have a supply of magic flowing into it, after five minutes thy portal will close."

"Okay. When I return with her I will send a strong breeze throughout the school to call you. I'm not using my voice to call others while they're here. Be back soon." Sunset ran forward in her dress and jumped into the portal, flowing through it.

Green Hope was right when she said the portal was slow. The other one would have her in Equestria within five seconds. Maybe less. This was taking up to two minutes. But soon she heard voices.

"Is there something coming through?"

"Sounds like Cadance," Sunset muttered before turning into her ball shaped state. Eventually, she flowed out. Back into Equestria.

If you spot any typos, please comment the sentence containing the typo down below, I would really appreciate it.

Can anybody guess where this story's going? Try it out! I love comments! You'll see Scootaloo soon! As well as characters from the last story, Queen Scootaloo.

Also due to an emergency computer error, I've been having trouble today putting the last few edits on this chapter. If the pacing seems strange, just know that my computer had to go through a reset today which took four hours. Ugh, I'm tired of Windows. Apple's too expensive.
