"Now, Tia, could we please go to sleep? We have much more flying in the morning." groaned Spike.

"Sleep!? You expect me to sleep after hearing that!?" exclaimed Celestia, growling with some unusual anger.

"Yes. Yes I do actually." said Spike, blowing a cloud of smoke onto the raging Celestia.

Celestia was now flying around in circles for no apparent reason and shouting at the top of her lungs."Not only did Twilight possess all five elements of chaos, but she could flawlessly use every single one of them!?"

"What's so special about that?" asked Spike, dumbfounded.

Celestia stopped in mid air and looked at Spike in disbelief. How could he know so little about the elements of harmony and chaos? She let out a sigh and began to explain. "Remember when Twilight and the other five fought Luna using the elements of harmony?"

"Of course. It's when I moved to Ponyville." he replied.

Celestia flew up to Spikes face and stared directly into his eyes. "When she returned from the moon, Luna was under the influence of the element of envy, one that she didn't even know how to control. She had one element of chaos, and it took all five elements of harmony just to subdue her temporarily while I broke the spell. Do you understand how intellectual and powerful you have to be to control only one element of chaos? Forget about all five..."

"I never thought about it like that. I blame entropy." joked Spike.

"Ugh. I can't even deal with this tonight, that offer for sleeping still up?" asked Celestia.

"Why even ask, my little pony?" said Spike, grinning at Celestia, who had altogether defeated herself in the pointless discussion of the elements.

She curled up next to Spike and fell asleep quickly. For once, the night was uneventful, a relief for both of them as there had always been some unnecessary run in with someone they didn't care to see. Spike had gotten used to that sort of thing, though. He drifted off into a deep sleep next to the mare he lived for.

"Guess who!"

"AGH!" screamed a frightened Celestia as she jumped to her feet and braced herself, only to see a familiar figure standing before her. "Oh. It's just you. What do you want?"

"Well firstly I'd like for you to stop making me a statue, it gets ever so boring sitting there in your garden for years on end." said Discord, in his usual over dramatic voice. He was lying down on the ground in a seductive pose with a rose in his mouth. It was truly the most interesting sight to behold.

"No chocolate milk today? Damn. I'm quite parched, you know." joked Celestia.

"Quite a drag isn't it Tia? Without my element I can't stir up any fun at all! That's why I want to help you and your... Special friend... take little Loo-Loo of the throne!" said Discord, winking at Celestia as he referred to Spike.

"Is our relationship really that obvious?" said Celestia in an annoyed tone.

Discord laughed. "Well, it's not like you try to hide it much at all. You know, with all the..."

Spike, disturbed by the talking in his morning sleep, yawned and woke up to the sight of Celestia. Beautiful as usual. Oh, and a draconequus too. Wait.

Spike jumped up. "Ahhh! It's Discord! He's come to kill us and eat our brains and-" he attempted to take flight and charge the draconequus, but in his own confusion, he just stumbled over on the ground once again. He looked up at both of them and spit out a leaf.

"Absolutely. Priceless." said Discord.

Spike growled only to be cut off by Celestia. "Spike, Discord has been free for awhile now, and since all of the elements belong to Luna, he can no longer play with the laws of physics."

"Yeah. I knew that. I was testing him." defended Spike.

"You looked so content to me." teased Discord.

"Enough bickering you two. Discord, how can you help us?" asked Celestia.

"Well you two seem to be hunting for memories. I have many of those, not to mention infinite superior knowledge of the elements, and princess Loo-Loo." he replied.

"Hunting for memories? Is that what you call trying to solve a puzzle?" asked Spike.

"Big puzzle, bro." snapped Discord.

"For the record, you were a lot more interesting when you danced on peoples heads." said Spike.

"Agreed. Anyways, Tia, would you mind if I tagged along with you? By the way, would it be appropriate to call you a dragon rider?" asked Discord, a wide grin on his face.

Celestia twitched and Spike looked on with utter confusion. "Must you be.. So annoying.." she said.

"But where's the fun in making sense?" he asked.

"What? That made no sense how does that have anything to do with being annoying?" asked Celestia, raising a brow at Discord.

"But where's the fun in making sense?" repeated Discord.

Celestia slammed a hoof onto her forehead and groaned loudly. Spike couldn't help but burst into laughter, followed by his new draconequus friend. After he ended his fit, he looked up to Celestia, eager to change the subject to avoid being magically thrown off a cliff at this point.

"Twilight said that the library belonged to your family, Celestia. Do you have any relevant memories of her leading up to her fight with Luna?" asked Spike.

"Actually, yes I do Spike. I'm glad you asked. I had received quite a strange letter from Twilight a few days before she came to my library..."
