The night of the Fall Formal, a commotion was going on at a fast food restaurant.

Everyone was arguing because three heavenly voices were stealing their magic from the fighting.

The three were Adagio Dazzle, Sonata Dusk and Aria Blaze.

Also known as the Dazzlings.

"Ugh, that was barely worth the effort, Adagio. I'm tired of fast food, I need a meal!" Aria complained.

"The energy in this world isn't the same as Equestria! We can only gain so much power here." Adagio said.

"Ugh! I wish we were never banished to this place." Aria said.

"Really? I love it here!" Adagio said sarcastically.

"For realsies? I think this place is the worst." Sonata said.

"I think you're the worst, Sonata." Aria said.

"Oh yeah? Well I think you're-" "Ugh." Adagio interrupted.

"I'll tell you one thing, being stuck here with you two isn't making this world any more bearable." Adagio said.

Suddenly, magic could be seen and felt in the distance.

The Dazzlings rushed outside to see!

They saw the power of Friendship.

Their necklaces made her feel the power of it.

"Did you feel that!?" Adagio asked, before grinning. "Do you know what that is?" She asked.

The other two didn't know.

"It's Equestrian magic!" Adagio said.

"This world doesn't HAVE Equestrian magic." Aria said.

"It does now, and we're going to use it to make everyone in this pathetic little world adore us." Adagio said.

It was another day at CHS.

Nobody was ever letting Sunset Shimmer live down the fact that she turned into a demon.

And how she was a jerk beforehand.

Except her new friends, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy.

In other news, everyone except Sunset Shimmer in the group can get their pony parts when they perform with instruments.

And CHS is having a Musical Showcase.

And the Dazzlings are now attending CHS.

So... Something bad is happening.

They've even got everyone to argue at lunch with their song.

Battle of the Bands.

Now everyone was arguing, making them even stronger.

Except the humanized Mane 6. Includes Sunset Shimmer.

And they were fighting about the CHS Musical Showcase.

It just turned into the Battle of the Bands.

Sunset Shimmer knows that they possess some sort of dark magic.

Somehow, they got the principals under their spell.

And now everyone was waiting outside the portal.

"If only we can get to Twilight, maybe she could break the spell they cast on our friends!" Rarity said.

"Well, that's not gonna happen. The portal's closed. And I have the feeling that they don't have cell phones where she's from." Rainbow Dash said.

"I have an idea how we can get in touch with Princess Twilight and... Uh... I actually forgot his name." Sunset Shimmer said.

"I think it was... Rice?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"Uh... Yeah, he did say something about it being rice... So Twilight and Rice." Applejack said.

"I think it was Gohan. How did we forget his name?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I know we've even mentioned him before... Oh well, we'll find out when he's here." Sunset Shimmer said.

Gohan and Twilight got the message from Sunset Shimmer through a book that was glowing and vibrating.

"What is it, Twilight?" Fluttershy asked.

"It looks like a message to Princess Celestia from my friends at Canterlot High." Twilight said.

"You mean Sunset Shimmer had some sort of book to write to her? Something bad's definitely happened." Gohan said.

"Yes, it sounds like they need our help." Twilight said.

After some research, the Sirens were behind all this magic.

They were three beautiful but dangerous creatures that had the voices to elude ponies.

They fed on the negativity of others through division of ponies.

Starswirled the Bearded had stopped them, and sent them to the world of Equestria Girls.

Twilight fashioned a portal to this world, that never closes.

She even went on a long lecture about it.

The only one listening was Gohan, because being a nerd had it's perks.

"Say what now?" Spike asked.

"Duh! She's gonna take the magic in here," Pinkie Pie said, pointing a hoof at Celestia's book to Sunset Shimmer.

"And put it in there!" She added, pointing a hoof at the portal.

"And the portal will open up and whenever she wants to, she can go from here to there!" Pinkie Pie said.

And the portal did work!

"Alright! I get to see my own kind again!" Gohan said.

"I guess you really like it over there." Rainbow Dash said.

"Hey, I want to be around my own kind too! Give me a break." Gohan said.

Now Spike, Gohan and Twilight were going to go through the portal!

The Equestria Girls Mane 6 were just waiting outside the portal.

Rainbow Dash sighed.

"I'm starting to think she's not coming." Rainbow Dash said.

Then, the three burst through the portal!

"Twilight!" Everyone exclaimed.

"I'm back...!" Twilight said.

Sunset Shimmer held her hand out to help her up, and Twilight hesitantly took it.

Sunset Shimmer did the same for Gohan, but he declined.

"I'm too heavy, you might lose an arm." Gohan said, standing up.

The rest of the girls got into a group hug with Twilight.

Then it finally broke.

"And... Gohan, right?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Yeah, that's me." Gohan said.

"What's with the cool sword?" Rainbow Dash asked.

Gohan realized he still had his sword.

"I forgot to leave it..." Gohan said, holding the handle of his sword.

"Superheroes forget a lot too, I guess. Didn't know you practiced fighting and sword stuff." Rainbow Dash said.

"Rainbow, he's a swordsman." Rarity corrected.

"Whatever." Rainbow Dash said.

"And Sunset Shimmer, how are you?" Gohan asked.

"Me? I'm fine, thanks. Except everyone's not accepting of the new me." Sunset Shimmer said.

"Don't worry, they'll understand soon. If it makes you feel any better, I accept the new you?" Gohan asked.

"Actually... It does. I was an enemy, trying to kill you and now I'm a friend? Usually you'd kill your enemies, right?" Sunset Shimmer asked.

"If they can't forget their evil ways, I have no choice." Gohan said.

"You've actually killed villains before?" Sunset Shimmer asked.

"Yes, but back to the point at hand!" Gohan said.

"Yeah, I've got some bad news about those girls." Twilight said.

Everyone was at Sugarcube Corner now.

Gohan, Rarity and Twilight were on the sofa while everyone else was standing or on a chair.

"Oh I hate that you have to return here in a time of crisis. We have so much catching up to do!" Rarity said.

"For starters, a blue haired guitar player was asking about you." Applejack said.

"Flash Sentry was asking about me!?" Twilight asked, twirling her hair and blushing.

Everyone noticed her outburst, and she changed her tone.

"Ahem, Well, isn't that nice?" She asked.

"Perhaps you could give us the slightest bit of gossip from your world?" Rarity asked.

"She's got an official title now. The Princess of Friendship!" Spike said, then making trumpet sounds.

"Wasn't she the Princess of Friendship once she was an alicorn?" Gohan asked.

"Well, yeah... But I mean, ponies now know her as the princess." Spike said.

"Oh, okay." Gohan said.

"Wow, that's pretty impressive! I guess you really were Princess Celestia's prized pupil." Sunset Shimmer said.

"She's even got her own castle." Spike said.

"A CASTLE? You have your own castle!?" Rarity exclaimed.

She realized her outburst.

"Oh, well that's lovely." Rarity said.

"Where does Gohan live?" Applejack asked.

Gohan laughed awkwardly. "A shack... On the outskirts of town..." He said.

"Seriously?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"Yeah, we kinda expected you to live with your parents or her." Rainbow Dash said.

Gohan frowned at the word parents, but he regained his composure.

"Anything else happen?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Well, Gohan just defeated a giant monster who was going to rule Equestria." Twilight said.

Gohan smiled.

"And he did it after his power was taken away." Twilight added.

Gohan looked down.

"And he lost his entire shirt." Twilight added with a smirk.

"Oh come on!" Gohan retorted, blushing.

"You saw the rest of his body? I can only imagine..." Rarity said, blushing.

"Why!?" Gohan asked, blushing even harder.

"Come on, aren't you a hit with the girls over there?" Rainbow Dash asked, nudging Gohan.

"I'm not interested in making love to a pony, and I'm not looking for love!" Gohan retorted. "I'm only twelve!" He added, crossing his arms.

"Does somebody have a crush?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"Whoever it is, it's not me!" Gohan said, his blush disappearing.

"Come on, you have to had a crush where you came from originally!" Rainbow Dash said.

"I was home schooled and I'm at college level now!" Gohan said, uncrossing his arms.

"I didn't know you were that much of an egghead." Rainbow Dash said.

"Okay." Gohan said.

"If you want to be some sort of scholar so bad, why do you keep being a warrior?" Applejack asked.

"It helps me cope!" Gohan retorted.

"Cope with what?" Rarity asked.

"Uh... Well, I'd rather not say." Gohan said, hanging his head down.

"It's a sensitive subject for him." Twilight reassured.

"Did anything else happen?" Fluttershy asked.

"I received the powers of a Super Saiyan in base form, I guess. So I can be a Super Saiyan of a Super Saiyan, technically." Gohan said.

"Why don't you show them Super Saiyan 2?" Twilight asked.

"Yeah, show us!" Pinkie Pie said.

"No, it's too much. I don't like going Super Saiyan 2." Gohan said.

"Why?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"It clouds my judgement, and makes me uncharacteristically sadistic. Also it's a constant reminder of pain that will never cease." Gohan said.

"Uh... Constant reminder of pain?" Rarity said.

"I believe that's a good reason to stay away from it. I can't imagine how your war face really is..." Fluttershy said.

"Trust me, it's scary." Twilight said.

"L-Let's move the conversation away from me." Gohan said.

"Come on, what isn't there about you that's uncool?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"My dad's death." Gohan mumbled.

"What was that?" Rarity asked.

"N-Nothing." Gohan said.

"...What's new here? Besides the school being a target by magical creatures of Equestria." Twilight said.

"...Yeah, so that isn't the only strange thing that's happened since you left." Rainbow Dash said, pulling out her phone.

She showed a video of her growing her wings, pony ears and longer hair while playing guitar.

"Wow. You play guitar?" Gohan asked.

"Yep! Pretty sweet, huh?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"It happens to all of us when we play." She added.

"Well, my crown was returned to Equestria, but some of its magic must have stayed at Canterlot High. Now that we're back together, we can use that magic on the Sirens! Just like we all did on Sunset Shimmer when she was a horrifying monster!- No offense." Twilight said.

"None taken, heh. I'm used to it." Sunset Shimmer said.

"Be glad you weren't the worst one, I fought against tyrants who ruled the universe." Gohan said.

"Really? Then I'm not really the worst villain..." Sunset Shimmer said.

"You're not a villain anymore." Gohan said.

"Wait... Why doesn't Gohan just defeat the Sirens for us?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I like to give others a chance at playing hero, alright? I don't want to play hero for the rest of my life, you know." Gohan said. "Besides, I'm fairly certain the magic of friendship's enough. Although it wasn't enough on Sunset Shimmer." He added.

"Well, I guess. They'll never even know what hit them!" Rainbow Dash said, then throwing out some punches and kicks.

She performed a roundhouse kick, then threw a punch at Gohan.

Gohan blocked with a single index finger.

"W-What?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Huh? Oh, sorry, I should have let you hit me." Gohan said.

"No, you shouldn't but... You caught that with ONE finger?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"What do you want me to do, use another force to make your fist go off course? Because I can." Gohan said.

"No way, let me try." Rainbow Dash said, throwing a punch again.

Gohan used his ki to actually push Rainbow Dash away.

"Wow, that's awesome!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.

"Anyway, we've got nothing to worry about now that they're back." Applejack said.

"Oh, I'm pretty sure I have something to worry about... But it won't be the Sirens!" Fluttershy said.

"The sooner we do this, the better. Any idea where the Dazzlings might be?" Twilight asked.

"Oh, they're that way." Gohan said, pointing in a direction.

"Wait... You know where they are!? How!?" Pinkie Pie asked. "Are you psychic?" She added.

"First question, I can sense other life forms. Second, no." Gohan said.

"Anyway, the Dazzlings will be at the big party tonight for all the bands who signed up to be in the showcase." Pinkie Pie said.

"Looks like we have a party to crash!" Twilight said.

All the bands were in the gymnasium, and boy. Did they all hate each other.

The good guys were at the food bar.

"Guys, these people will do anything to win." Gohan said.

"What makes you say that?" Applejack asked.

"It's pretty obvious, if they're that divided over a contest. The Dazzlings have them under a spell." Gohan said.

"But nobody can possess magic other than us." Twilight said.

"That's wrong. The Dazzlings certainly have it." Gohan said.

"Uh okay, well-" Twilight said, before Flash Sentry accidentally bumped into her.

Flash even caught her before she fell, and it looked romantic from an outside view.

"Twilight?" He asked.

"Uh- Bumped! Into, always! Doing..." Twilight managed to say.

"What are you doing here? You came back for the big competition, right?" Flash asked, letting Twilight stand again.

"Well, something like that." Twilight said.

"Heh. It's not like there's going to be any real competition. No one wants this as bad as my band does." Flash said proudly.

Then, the Dazzlings came into the gym.

Gohan stared at them. 'They're suppressing themselves.' He thought.

"Hey Twilight, the -Reason- is here." Gohan whispered.

Twilight looked over to the Dazzlings.

"Could you excuse me for just a minute?" Twilight asked, walking away.

The other girls and boy followed.

Pinkie Pie was stuffing her mouth with cookies.

The Dazzlings looked at their 'art'. Chaos everywhere, powering them up even more.

"Oh no! No one's mingling! It's like there's some underlying tension that could bubble to the surface at any minute." Adagio said.

"It's the fruit punch, isn't it! I knew I used too much grape juice!" Sonata said, holding apple cider.

"It's not the fruit punch- It's us!" Adagio said.

'All I needed to hear.' Gohan thought.

"This is just the kickoff party, girls. Imagine what a tizzy it'll be by the time the Battle of the Bands start." Adagio said.

"There isn't going to be a Battle of the Bands!" Twilight said. "And we're going to make sure of that!" She added.

"Alright, girls, let's do this!" She said.

"Friendship is magic!" She exclaimed.

They held hands, trying to use friendship.

Nothing was happening.

Everyone looked in confusion.

"Uh, weren't there rainbows and stuff last time?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I don't understand... We're all together again... Why isn't this working?" Twilight asked.

"Gohan, do the thing!" Pinkie Pie whispered.

"What thing...?" Gohan asked.

"Shoot laser beams at them!" Pinkie Pie said.

"What? No! Hush!" Gohan whispered.

"Talk about throwing down the gauntlet, this group is serious about winning! A little cocky though, aren't they? Claiming there won't REALLY be a battle. Seems like they have this thing all locked up." Adagio said.

"Not if the Great and Power Trixie has anything to do with it!" Trixie shouted.

"Whatever, Trixie! We're the best band at CHS!" Flash said.

"No! Crusaders are gonna win!" Applebloom shouted.

Fighting began again, powering the Dazzlings even more.

'Those necklaces...' Gohan thought.

Their ki also rose, giving Gohan all needs to know about the Dazzlings.

The only people who weren't fighting were the Mane 6 and Gohan.

"Well, I think we've found what we're looking for. Or rather, it found us." Adagio said.

Her allies didn't know what she was talking about.

"Ugh! Magic! Don't you see? Everyone else has fallen under our spell, but not these people." Adagio said.

The Mane 6 were walking away.

"Do you guys really like to reveal your plan in a public place?" Gohan asked.

"Well, if you possess magic, then we'll-" "I don't. At all. I just got here." Gohan interrupted Adagio.

"If- Oh! I think we have another addendum to our plan, girls." Adagio said.

"You are horrible at keeping your plans a secret, seriously." Gohan said.

"Just go away already, we know your friends are special!" Adagio exclaimed.

Gohan walked away, towards his friends.

The girls, dog and boy were on the stairs outside CHS.

"This doesn't make any sense! I should've been able to create the spark that would break their spell! That's how it worked before! Kind of." Twilight said.

"To defeat me, you drew magic from the crown I was wearing. The Sirens' magic come from their music. So maybe you have to use the same kind of magic to defeat them!" Sunset Shimmer said.

"Or we could just have Gohan kill them for us." Rainbow Dash said.

"I don't like killing my enemies, okay? Besides, I'm only here for backup, I'm not playing hero." Gohan said.

"Sunset Shimmer, you're on to something." Twilight said.

"Really?" Sunset Shimmer asked.

"It's when you play music that you transform now, right?" Twilight asked.

"Yep. Ears, tails, the whole thing." Applejack said.

"So maybe we can use magic to defeat the Sirens by using a magical counterspell!" Twilight said.

"You mean, like a song?" Fluttershy asked.

"Yep! If we want to free everyone from the Sirens' spell, we'll need them all to hear it." Twilight said.

"The band competition! That's when we can be certain that everyone will be in the same place at the same time." Rarity said.

"Guess the Rainbooms are a band to beat." Applejack said.

"And you, Twilight, just became the Rainbooms' newest member." Rarity said.

The Rainbooms walked up to Twilight, giggling.

Sunset Shimmer wasn't happy that she wasn't helping.

Gohan remained on the steps with her.

"So, what are you going to play? Triangle? Sousaphone? Theremin?" Pinkie Pie asked, pulling out all those instruments and playing them.

"So magical..." She added.

"It might take me a while to learn how to play something with these." Twilight said, showing her hands. "I can sing." She said.

"You mean, like, lead singer? Because, that's usually my thing, since it's my band and all." Rainbow Dash asked.

"It's OUR band. And of course it's lead singer, she's the one with the magical knowhow to pull this thing off!" Applejack said.

"Okay, yeah, that's cool. I'll just use this as a chance to hone my already insane lead guitar skills." Rainbow Dash said.

"It's only temporary, and we don't have to win the Battle of the Bands. We just have to perform during the first round of the competition!" Twilight said.

"Let's get to learning that musical counterspell!" Rainbow Dash said.

"That's just it, I don't know any." Twilight said.

"Aw." Everyone else said.

"But I'm sure I can figure out how to write one!" Twilight reassured.

"Totally! Twilight can write a spell like it's nobody's business! That's pretty much how she became a princess in Equestria." Spike said.

"I technically added to a spell, I didn't create it. There's more to it than that, Spike." Twilight said.

"Yeah, whatever." Spike said.

"I've got this, come on!" Twilight said, picking up Spike and heading inside the school.

"Where are you going?" Applejack asked.

"Well, last time we were here, Gohan, Spike and I spent the night in the library." Twilight said.

"Are you crazy? We're besties now!" Pinkie Pie said, hugging Twilight. "Slumber party at my house!" She exclaimed.

Everyone was at Pinkie Pie's place, in her room.

They all were wearing PJs. Except Gohan, he didn't have anything, and Twilight had some from Pinkie Pie.

Pinkie Pie was on her laptop, Rainbow Dash and Applejack were playing a video game, Twilight was on the bed thinking, Rarity and Sunset Shimmer were talking, and Gohan sat beside the gamers.

He felt a little weird being the only boy there not counting Spike.

"Status update: Okey dokey lokey!" Pinkie Pie said.

Rarity, Fluttershy and Sunset Shimmer all took a selfie, with Spike in the background.

Rarity was not happy about that.

Rainbow Dash and Applejack were playing, and Rainbow Dash was losing.

So she shut off the console.

"Hey! I was just about to beat you!" Applejack said.

"I doubt that happened. So Twilight, how's that counter spell coming?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"Oh! Uh, great! Thanks for letting me use your notebook, Fluttershy. I really like the song you wrote for the Rainbooms." Twilight said.

"Thank you, hopefully one day we'll get a chance to play it." Fluttershy said.

Rainbow Dash stole Applejack's controller and was making Applejack work to get it.

"Hey!" Applejack said, while Rainbow Dash laughed.

"Come on, Rainbow, give the controller back." Gohan said with a smile.

"Yeah!" Applejack said.

Rainbow Dash kept laughing.

"Twilight, I think I speak for all of us when I say we cannot thank you enough for bringing us back together again. And you're helping us again!" Rarity said.

"Uh huh!" Everyone said.

"Rainbow, give the controller back." Gohan said a little more sternly.

"Okay, okay." Rainbow Dash said, handing the controller back to Applejack.

"Thanks." Applejack said.

"Hey Gohan, I have a question." Rainbow Dash said.

"Go ahead." Gohan said.

"Do you have any students or something?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"That does sound like a good question." Rarity said.

"I currently have the other Rainbow Dash under my tutelage, and I temporarily trained Fluttershy." Gohan said.

"You're training me over there!?" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.

"I was your student?" Fluttershy asked, a little confused.

"Yes to both." Gohan said.

"Will you train me!?" Rainbow Dash asked, lunging herself forward until she was inches away from Gohan.

"I suppose..." Gohan said.

"Yes! Alright!" Rainbow Dash cheered, jumping up.

"What are you going to teach her?" Applejack asked.

"First, discipline." Gohan said with a smirk.

The other girls giggled.

"Ugh. Anything else?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"It depends. Do you want to learn martial arts, how to fly, and-" "Did you say fly?" Rainbow Dash interrupted.

"Um... Yes." Gohan said.

"So I can fly like you!?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"OOH! I want to join, I want to join!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed.

"O-Okay! Okay! Yes, you two can fly without wings. But again, it takes a lot of work- It doesn't come easily." Gohan said.

"Alright! This is awesome, I get to learn how to fight AND fly!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed.

"You and me both!" Pinkie Pie said.

Gohan smiled awkwardly. 'I guess this is what I get for being best friends with women.' He thought.

"Let's do it as soon as this Dazzling situation's gone!" Rainbow Dash said.

"Uh... Okay, so Twilight, I'll have to return to Equestria a little later than you?" Gohan asked.

"Not a problem. You control your own life, I'm not your mother." Twilight said.

Gohan laughed.

The doorbell rang.

"Pizza's here!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed, and the five girls ran out of the room.

"I honestly don't know what pizza is." Gohan said.

Twilight looked at her progress, which was none, and sighed.

"You alright?" Gohan asked.

"I guess, it's just that I can't come up with any counter spell." Twilight said.

"Don't worry, you'll figure it out eventually." Gohan said.

"I guess." Twilight said, walking out of the room.

Then Pinkie stuck her head into the room. "Don't you want any pizza!? I ordered extra for you!" Pinkie Pie said.

"I don't think I've had pizza before, but I might as well try." Gohan said, standing up and walking out of the room.

Now everyone was BACK in the room.

Gohan finished three boxes of pizza in a flash...

"I cannot tell if he's a pig or a gentleman." Rarity whispered to Sunset Shimmer.

"I heard that!" Gohan said.

"Super hearing? That's awesome!" Sunset Shimmer said.

"OOH! Why doesn't Gohan tell us his backstory so we get to know him better!?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"Yeah, I'm game!" Rainbow Dash said.

"Sounds good." Applejack said.

"I think I'll like it." Fluttershy said.

"Cool." Sunset Shimmer said.

"That sounds quite nice." Rarity said.

"Come on, do you really want to know?" Gohan asked.

"Uh huh!" Everyone said.

"Because... It's a little random, gorey and sad." Gohan said.

"Yes!" Everyone said.

"Alright... Everyone get comfortable, because this is a LONG story." Gohan said.

Everyone sat around Gohan on the floor.

"So it all started when I was four, and my uncle came from space and kidnapped me." Gohan said.

"Wow!" Applejack said.

"Already a freaking climax!" Rainbow Dash said.

"That sounds awful!" Fluttershy said.

Gohan told the rest of his story, about the Saiyans, Frieza, Androids and Cell.

Even his former friends.

All the girls but Twilight were crying.

Fluttershy was the first to cry, right after Goku died against Raditz.

"That is so sad..." Rarity said.

"Those are some no good friends!" Applejack said.

"It's in the past, I don't care anymore. They're gone." Gohan said.

"How could you just forget about it?" Fluttershy asked.

"Yeah, that sounds stupid. I'd bash their skulls in myself!" Rainbow Dash said.

"I can't forget about it, silly. It's the worst time in my life. But it's over." Gohan said.

"Oh... We're all surprised that you can even smile after such a time..." Applejack said.

Everyone else nodded.

"We shouldn't dwell on it, it's bedtime. Night." Gohan said, laying down on the floor.

"What? It's 8:00." Rarity said.

"I have tons of sleeping bags..." Pinkie Pie said.

"I'm fine..." Gohan said before he actually drifted off.

"Gohan?" Applejack asked.

Gohan was lightly snoring.

"He fell asleep already?" Rainbow Dash asked.

Gohan woke up VERY early. So early that he could feel Sunset Shimmer and Twilight were awake.

Sunset Shimmer opened the refrigerator.

"We're really lucky you're here." She said to Twilight.

"That's what everyone keeps telling me." Twilight said.

"Who could possibly need this much whipped cream?" Sunset Shimmer asked.

"The party person with a possible sugar addiction." Gohan said.

Sunset Shimmer and Twilight turned around to see Gohan.

"You were snoring just 6 hours ago." Sunset Shimmer said.

"I wake up early all the time. Except for days that I'm particularly lazy." Gohan said.

"When ARE you lazy?" Twilight asked.

"When I oversleep, but still train. In fact, I still don't know how I'm going to train- Maybe at the school, but it's not normal for me." Gohan said.

"Must be nice that everyone looks to you two to fix a problem, not when you cause a problem." Sunset Shimmer said, putting some whipped cream on her finger.

"It really isn't- Especially when I'm overestimated." Gohan said.

"Just because everyone expects it doesn't mean it's going to happen." Twilight said.

"That doesn't stop them from expecting it." Sunset Shimmer said.

"Which only makes it harder because the last thing you want to do is-"

"Let everybody down." Twilight, Sunset Shimmer and Gohan said.

"And someone else is here." Gohan added.

"Who?" Sunset Shimmer asked.

"Close the fridge." Gohan said.

Maud Pie was was there, startling Sunset Shimmer. She screamed.

"Boulder was hungry." Maud Pie said, casually opening a cabinet and "feeding" her pebble Boulder crackers as she walked away.

"I still can't get over the fact that she's related to Pinkie Pie!" Sunset Shimmer whispered.

"Applejack's related to her, so anything's possible." Gohan said.

"Really?" Sunset Shimmer asked.

"Yep." Gohan and Twilight said.

Sunset Shimmer yawned. "Well, I better get back to sleep. Good luck on that counterspell- Not that you'll need it, it's probably the same stuff you're expected to deal with being a princess in Equestria." She said, walking away.

"Sunset Shimmer?" Twilight asked.

Sunset Shimmer turned around.

"...Nevermind, it's not that important." Twilight said.

Sunset Shimmer shrugged and went back to bed.

"Why didn't you tell her?" Gohan whispered.

"It's too soon!" Twilight whispered back.

"Hey... Hey... Listen..." Twilight sang, before the microphone starting giving feedback.

The Mane 6 were practicing.

Everyone was at Sweet Apple Acres... In the garage.

"We've got a message for you..." Twilight sang horribly, with more feedback.

"We're not all alike... But our friendship is true..." Twilight sang horribly.

"Yeah we're really different!" Twilight sang- You get the point.

Sunset Shimmer had to turn off the damn speaker because of it.

"But we still get along!" Twilight sang.

Fluttershy tried adding extra tambourine sounds, only to be hushed by Rainbow Dash.

"So hey, hey!" Twilight sang terribly. "Listen to our song..." She sang so bad that Rainbow Dash had Fluttershy add those extra tambourine sounds.

It was so terrible that Granny Smith put apple cores in her ears.

"You may think you're-" "STOP! GOOD GREEN GOD, STOP!" Gohan interrupted.

"You've sang a LOT better than this before, why is your voice so bad!?" Gohan asked.

"It was better than the... Last, five times she played it." Spike reassured.

"Nope." Big Mac said, carrying a bucket of apples.

"But she needs to sing with heart!" Gohan said.

"I think it's pretty obvious what's wrong here." Rainbow Dash said.

"You mean turning what's supposed to be the chorus into a guitar solo!?" Applejack sneered.

"I have to pick up the slack SOMEHOW! Are you guys even trying!?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"I'm trying!" Fluttershy managed to say.

"It's fine- It'll be fine! One more time from the top!" Twilight said.

"...Or, perhaps we could take a short break." Rarity said.

"Good, I want to try doing farm work." Gohan said, trying to walk out of the garage before Rarity stopped him.

"What I meant was, instead of getting dirty while working, we could try some of the wardrobe choices I put together?" Rarity asked.

"I'm not wearing anything cheesy!" Gohan said.

"I'm particularly fond of this one." Rarity said, wearing a sparkly dress.

"Nope." Gohan said, walking back in the garage.

"Or we could try something a bit more modern..." Rarity said.

"We're trying to save our school here, stop with the costumes!" Applejack complained.

Rarity was hilariously wearing a robotic helmet and a sparkly suit.

"Uh! You could never have enough costumes!" Rarity retorted in a robot voice.

"She just wants to make things fun! Isn't that what being in a band's suppose to be?" Pinkie Pie asked, beating the drums with a final cymbal.

"We can't be wasting time with this! We're supposed to be at the Battle of the Bands in 15 minutes!" Sunset Shimmer said.

Everyone gasped.

"Alright, everyone grab on to each other- Grab your stuff- And I'll carry us all there!" Gohan said.

Now everyone was in the gym, ready to duke it out!

"Welcome to the first ever Canterlot High School Battle of the Bands! I believe I speak for everyone when I say that it's by far the best thing we've ever done here at this school!" Celestia said.

Everyone participating cheered.

"We are so glad that our three new students turned this event into something exciting!" Celestia said, referring to the Dazzlings.

"But- Now that this is a competition- We can only choose one winner. Who is it going to be?" Luna asked.

Everyone was arguing again!

This further powered the Dazzlings up.

"Feel that, girls? Our true power is being restored." Adagio said, before the trio laughed.

They stopped when they saw the Rainbooms and Gohan. And Sunset Shimmer.

"And that's before we tap into the strongest magic here. Especially the boy." Adagio said.

"I heard that!" Gohan called.

"Just as I suspected." Adagio said.

"I also heard that!" He called.

"Why are you yelling?" Applejack asked.

"They want to use me as their weapon, apparently. And it's not going to happen." Gohan said.

"But the Rainblossoms or whatever aren't under our spell. How exactly are we supposed to get to them?" Aria asked.

"The boy doesn't possess magic, but great strength. He hasn't heard our music yet." Adagio said.

"And, the Rainbooms are just as capable of falling apart as anyone else. They just need a little *whoof* along the right direction." Adagio said.

"Everyone here is lining up to give them a shove." She added.

"Not with the boy around." Aria said.

"We'll just have to see about that." Adagio said.

Snips and Snails just "performed."

By perform, I mean fuck- I mean, do bad.

"We're ready to- Wait, where's Rarity?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"I'm here!" Rarity said, running up in something "fabulous." With metal keys and stuff.

"We're performing in front of an audience, we need to look good!" Rarity said.

Applejack facepalmed.

"Just go- I'll be backstage with Spike and Sunset Shimmer." Gohan said.

Magnets were tied with a string, and dropped down on Rarity.

Her arms were made useless! Because of her dumb outfit.

Gohan took notice.

"W-What do we do?" Sunset Shimmer asked.

"I'll take care of this, just..." Gohan said, grabbing the handle of his sword.

He moved so fast, he couldn't be seen. He cut the magnets off, and also took them.

Allowing Rarity to play once more!

Gohan jumped up to the top to find three girls behind the whole thing.

"All our friends are here! And it's time to igni~i~te the ligh~ights!" The Rainbooms sang.

Gohan unsheathed his sword, and pointed it at the three.

They ran, as expected.

"Shake your tail! 'Cause we're here to have a party tonight- Shake your tail! Shake your tai~ail!" They sang.

Gohan jumped back down to Sunset Shimmer.

"People are desperate." Gohan said.

"Shake your tail! 'Cause we're here to have a party tonight- Shake your tail! Shake your tai~ail!" They sang.

"So, what if you didn't get it right the first time?" Twilight sang.

"Boring!" Applebloom said.

Pinkie Pie noticed the bored expressions on the Crusaders' faces.

So, she decided to kick it up a notch!

She blasted confetti from a drum.

"Laugh it off! No one said it is a crime!" Pinkie Pie sang.

"Do your thing! You know you're an original!" Rarity sang.

"Your ideas are so funny that they're criminal!" Applejack sang.

"Oooohah!" They sang, before confetti got into Twilight's mouth, making her cough.

"So this is the day! To get ready!" They sang.

Fluttershy hit Twilight in the back with her tambourine, making her cough the confetti out.

Flash Sentry seemed disinterested, and walked away.

Twilight blushed, but also felt sad.

"There's so much time to lose! Because tonight! Yeah we're here to party~!" They sang.

Snips and Snails were up- Ready to cheat!

"So let's think of something fun to do! We don't know! What's gonna happen!" They sang.

They shone the stage light at Fluttershy, who constantly tried to hide.

Gohan flew up, breaking the stage light with a swift cut.

Gohan held the broken piece in his hand as he stared at the duo while flying.

Snips and Snails cowered and ran away.

Gohan was humming along- He liked the song!

Celestia and Luna clapped! They loved it!

Everyone else was staring daggers into them.

The Rainbooms were walking back to backstage.

"Alright! There were a few minor things, but we did it!" Rainbow Dash said.

"Hey, people were trying to ruin it. I stepped in by removing magnets and destroying a stage light!" Gohan whispered.

"It wouldn't have happened if SHE didn't insist on dressing up like... Like this!" Applejack said.

"We need to sound good! There's some reason that concepts need to escape view!" She added.

"And what was with the confetti, Pinkie Pie!? How am I suppose to shred if there's paper stuck in my strings!?" Rainbow Dash asked.

"It was pretty distracting." Fluttershy added.

"Uh! Says the girl who was running from a LIGHT! A LIGHT!" Pinkie Pie retorted.

"You still sounded much better than most of the other bands." Sunset Shimmer said.

"Yeah, I honestly loved it. We minimized the errors, but it worked out!" Gohan said.

"You're still moving on to the next round, but we need to get the counter spell done before it all ends!" Sunset Shimmer said.

"You guys need to find a place to practice without the Sirens knowing, and I'll be around to prevent them from doing anything." Gohan said.

"I'll help." Sunset Shimmer said.

"Alright, good." Gohan said,

The group were walking in the hallway now.

"I don't think we should use a classroom." Twilight said, before she bumped into Flash Sentry.

Again.

Twilight laughed nervously. "We really need to stop bumping into each other like this..." She said.

Flash seemed... Disinterested?

"Uh, you guys hear something?" Flash asked.

"Nope." His two friends said.

"I-I said, we should really have to stop-" "There it is again! It's so annoying!" Flash interrupted.

"W-Why are you acting like this? I thought we were friends...?" Twilight asked.

Flash took a deep breath. "Yeah! And then you decided to come back here to beat me in the Battle of the Bands! I want this, Twilight! And you're trying to take it from me! Some friend." He said.

"That's not-" "I don't think that's how you address a friend." Gohan interrupted.

"What did you say?" Flash asked.

"This is a competition- Why wouldn't you expect one of your friends to be in it? You befriended her- And you're going to throw it away all because she's competing against you in a friendly contest!?" Gohan asked.

"WELL MAYBE YOU SHOULD-" "KNOCK IT OFF!" Applejack yelled.

"Come on, guys! We have things to do." Applejack said, dragging Twilight away.

"You think you're gonna help them!? I bet you don't even know what you're doing!" Flash yelled.

Twilight held back her tears.

Adagio giggled from afar.

"Tears already? This is only the first round." Adagio said, before laughing with her comrades.

"We're on soon." Aria said.

"You're not getting away with this." Sunset Shimmer said.

The Dazzlings turned around.

"Why? Because you didn't?" Adagio sneered.

Sunset Shimmer couldn't retort.

"Oh, we know all about you Sunset Shimmer. You've got quite the reputation at Canterlot High." Adagio said.

"I've changed, I'm in a much better place now!" Sunset Shimmer retorted.

"Waiting in the wings while your friends have all the fun?" Aria asked.

"Oh yes, you girls are so nice. And yet- They didn't ask you to be in the band." Adagio sneered.

"Probably afraid people won't see them play if she was in the group." Aria sneered.

"Too bad! So bad!" Sonata sneered.

"Stop taunting her." Gohan said.

"Ugh, you again?" Aria asked.

"Yes, me again. You guys have been getting stronger and stronger through all this arguing, but I'll warn you in advance- It'll never be enough to defeat me." Gohan said grimly.

"And what makes you say that?" Sonata asked.

"I'm in an entirely different league than you can ever achieve." Gohan said.

"You should only beware if your plan seems to have worked." Gohan said.

"Whatever, once we achieve the desired power, nothing can stop us!" Adagio boasted.

Gohan burst into laughter. "Oh man..." he said.

"Whatever, if it's any consolation- Nobody will remember Sunset Shimmer at all by the time we're done." Adagio said.

The Dazzlings walked into the gym, bumping into Sunset Shimmer intentionally.

"Are you alright?" Gohan asked.

"I'm fine, I'm just... Worthless." Sunset Shimmer said, fighting back some tears.

Gohan walked up closer to Sunset Shimmer. "Don't say that..." He said.

"It's true, I don't do anything. All I've done is divide people- And I don't do anything to repay the people who have forgiven me." Sunset Shimmer said.

"You repaid me." Gohan reassured.

"In what way?" Sunset Shimmer asked, genuinely confused.

"You gave up your old ways- And became our friend. That's all I need from you." Gohan said.

"B-But..." Sunset Shimmer said.

"Let me help- I'll try and convince them to let you participate in a way." Gohan said.

"That... W-Why are you so nice to me after all I've done...?" Sunset Shimmer asked.

"It's what my father would do- In fact, many of my greatest enemies became my friends. Before this whole thing." Gohan said.

"Well... I really don't know how-" "Don't even try to repay me- You already did." He interrupted, smiling.

Sunset Shimmer was brought back up again.

"Come on, let's go." Gohan said.

Sunset Shimmer hugged Gohan out of happiness.

"Aw, hugs are nice." He commented... Again.

Sunset Shimmer wasn't allowed entry into the Rainbooms...

But, Gohan managed to keep her strong.

As the Battle of the Bands went on, many things happened.

Bands lost, some won, and people were even more divided.

Even the Rainbooms were being divided.

Despite Sunset Shimmer and Gohan's best efforts.

What's worse- They were getting angrier at Gohan for trying to break up the dumb quarrels!

"Buzz off, Gohan!" Rainbow Dash yelled.

"We don't need your thoughts on this!" Applejack yelled.

"You dare to mock me for my fashion!?" Rarity yelled.

But a few didn't yell at Gohan...

"T-Thanks for trying to get my song on..." Fluttershy said.

"Thanks for trying to build me up- It's great!" Sunset Shimmer said.

In fact, Gohan and Sunset Shimmer were the only ones who knew what the problem was.

When Flash lost to the Dazzlings, he was ANGRY.

Like, ANGERY angry.

The Rainbooms were in the Semifinals, and up again!

The group were backstage, waiting for Trixie to finish.

Once she finished, Trixie already began taunting them.

"Beat that, Rain-goos! You shouldn't be allowed to- With the big advantage over the rest of us!" Trixie sneered.

"My superior guitar skills and my off the charts singing voice?" Rainbow Dash boasted.

"Uh, don't be ridiculous. I mean her!" Trixie said, pointing at Twilight.

"If you were really superior, Rainbow Dash, then you wouldn't have to bring a magical wringer to have half a chance. Everyone's talking about it." Trixie sneered.

"Oh, puh-lease. I could win this whole thing as a soloist." Rainbow Dash mocked.

Her friends looked at her with angry looks.

Applejack even facepalmed.

"Sure you could." Trixie said, before she 'disappeared!'

"She's GONE!" Pinkie Pie said.

"Nope. She's just over there." Gohan said, pointing at Pinkie Pie's drums.

Trixie ran as soon as she was caught.

"Next Up- The Rainbooms" Celestia called.

"WHAT!?" Trixie shouted.

Even the Rainbooms themselves were surprised.

"Did she just say the Rainbooms!?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"THIS. IS NOT OVER!" Trixie said, gritting her teeth as she walked away.

And none of the other bands were happy.

"THIS IS A TRAVESTY! A TRAVESTY!" Trixie shouted.

"It's such a shame, isn't it?" Adagio asked.

"Yes, they were chosen instead of you- Who did much better in the Semifinals and wanted it more." Aria said.

"Now it's going to be Dazzlings and Rainbooms." Adagio said.

"Unless the Rainbooms somehow don't make it to the final show!" Sonata said.

And Trixie had the best idea.

Now the group were at the place where the final showdown would occur tonight.

"Good thing you made it in... Though I'm confused as to how." Gohan said.

"This doesn't make any sense! We were awful! Doesn't it seem strange to any of you that we made it into the finals?" Fluttershy asked.

"Very strange." Trixie said, standing in front of them with her goons.

"What are YOU doing here, Trixie? Pretty sure the losers are supposed to be up there in the cheap seats." Rainbow Dash sneered, pointing at the seats.

"The Great and Powerful Trixie is the most talented girl at Canterlot High! It is I! Who deserves to be in the finals! And I will NOT be denied!" Trixie said, motioning for her goons to flip the switch.

The floor opened up underneath them... All the girls fell!

Gohan remained floating. And now he was pissed off.

"Trixie." He said, much to her surprise.

"Y-You're flying...?" Trixie asked.

"You better get them back up here, or else... Let's just say, either way, you won't be performing." Gohan said, unsheathing his sword.

Trixie was so scared that she did just that.

"My gosh, Trixie was SO desperate." Pinkie Pie said.

"Man, you saved our bacon, Gohan." Rainbow Dash said.

"Well... I guess." Gohan said:

They were back on the stage.

From afar, the Dazzlings watched.

"Curse that boy!" Adagio said.

"We screwed up by making THEM win, Adagio." Aria said.

"Oh, don't worry. We can still prevent them from beating us. They're very close to being divided." Adagio said.

"And we can just control the principals." Sonata said.

"Ah. I see what you mean." Aria said, giggling afterwards.

The principals and the Dazzlings came onstage.

"Hello Principal Celestia. Hello Vice Principal Luna." The Rainbooms said.

"Hello. I believe we have an announcement to make." Celestia said.

"We will turn this Battle of the Bands into a REAL battle!" Luna said.

"Huh?" The Rainbooms asked.

"We will have the two bands perform at the same time!" Celestia said joyfully.

"What!?" Everyone but the Dazzlings and principals asked.

"Yes, but the Dazzlings will have the stage. You will need to perform somewhere else." Luna said.

"What!? That's not fair!" Rainbow Dash retorted.

"No offense, but that really isn't fair!" Applejack said.

"If you have a problem with it, maybe you should be disqualified from the Battle of the Bands." Celestia said.

The students couldn't respond.

"Good." Celestia said.

"B-But how will we perform?" Fluttershy asked.

"I suppose you'll have to figure it out, Rainbooms." Luna said as the two walked away.

"You three aren't getting away with this." Gohan said.

"And you have no means of defeating us." Adagio said before the Dazzlings laughed.

"If it comes to it, you'll regret facing me." Gohan stated grimly.

"Don't make us laugh." Aria said.

"If worst comes to worst... You'll just have to see." Gohan said.

Now the group were back at Sweet Apple Acres, in the garage.

They were getting ready for their show.

However, there were disputes and problems.

The first problem being- How are they going to perform!?

"We can't play over the Dazzlings when they have a speaker and we don't!" Rainbow Dash said.

"It's pointless... We don't have time, and I don't think the counter spell will work anyway." Twilight said.

"Of course it will, Twilight. Only if a certain band member didn't try to hog the spotlight every time we tried to play it!" Applejack sneered.

"Hey, if you want to tell Twilight she's getting a little too caught up being the leader of this band- You don't have to be all cryptic about it!" Rainbow Dash retorted.

"She was TALKING about YOU Rainbow Dash!" Rarity said.

"Me!? I'm just trying to make sure MY band rocks as hard as it needs to!" Rainbow Dash bragged.

"OUR BAND!" Applejack and Rarity yelled.

Twilight sat in the corner.

"But why isn't it working!? I should know what to do- How could I not know what to do- How could I have failed like this..." Twilight moped.

"Don't say that... You might have to look at it from a different angle." Gohan reassured.

Sunset Shimmer watched in horror as her friends were being torn apart.

"It may have been your idea to start a band, but it's NOT just YOUR band Rainbow Dash!" Applejack yelled.

"I'm the one who writes all the songs!" Rainbow Dash retorted.

"I WRITE songs! You just don't let us PLAY any of them!" Fluttershy joined.

"I just had THE most perfect outfits for us to wear!" Rarity added.

"AGAIN WITH THE COSTUMES! No one cares what we're wearing!" Applejack yelled.

"I CARE, Applejack! So sorry that I'm trying to make a creative contribution to the BAND!" Rarity retorted.

"HEY!" Pinkie Pie screamed, appearing out of nowhere. "Anybody here remember fun!? I'LL GIVE YOU A HINT- ITS THE EXACT OPPOSITE IF BEING IN THE RAINBOOMS!" Pinkie Pie screamed.

"I wish I never asked ANY of you to be in my band!" Rainbow Dash screamed.

"I WISH I NEVER AGREED TO BE IN IT!" Rarity retorted.

"Me neither!" Applejack and Fluttershy added.

They kept arguing and arguing.

"Stop fighting!" Gohan shouted.

"Buzz off, this doesn't concern the likes of you!" Rainbow Dash yelled.

"This arguing isn't going to help us!" Gohan said.

But they just went back to arguing.

Gohan gave up, and sat down beside Twilight. If they didn't do anything about the Dazzlings- He'd step in.

Last second always works.

They didn't know it, but their arguing was giving the Dazzlings power from afar.

Sunset Shimmer realized this.

"Stop! You have to stop! This is what they've been after all along! They're feeding off of the magic inside you!" Sunset Shimmer shouted.

"How can they be using our magic? It's the magic of Friendship!" Applejack said.

Sunset Shimmer looked back at Twilight. "Ever since you've started this band, you've let little things get to you. I never said anything because I never feel like it's my place. Especially when I'm new to this whole friendship thing. I still have a lot to learn, but I've learned that if you don't work out the smallest problems from the start, the magic of Friendship can be turned into something else!" Sunset Shimmer said.

Twilight had an epiphany. She walked over to Sunset Shimmer. "I can't believe all this tension was happening under my nose and I didn't realize it... I'm the one who's supposed to have all the answers, and all I've done is let you down..." she said.

Sunset Shimmer put her hand on Twilight's shoulder.

"I don't think anyone's supposed to have all the answers, but you can count on your friends to find them." Sunset Shimmer said.

Her friends were now... Happy?

"I think you already have. Come on, we need to find a way to defeat the Dazzlings in a showdown!" Twilight said.

"Yeah!" Everyone else said.

"There's only one- I mean, two ways to stop the Sirens now!" Twilight said.

"We're getting the band back together?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"We're getting OUR band back together." Rainbow Dash said.

Pinkie Pie squealed.

Gohan stood up. "Now we're talking!" He said.

"Yeah... Sorry I yelled so much. I didn't realize you were just trying to help." Rainbow Dash said.

"Same here." Applejack said.

"I apologize as well." Rarity said.

"Let's all group hug?" Gohan asked.

Everyone got into a group hug, even Spike.

Then it broke.

"Oh! Which version of the counter spell are we going to play?" Rarity asked.

"I don't think it matters what song we play! As long as we play it together, as friends!" Twilight said.

"I know just the song!" Rainbow Dash said.

Now the others were doubting her.

"Fluttershy's written a really great one." Rainbow Dash said, making Fluttershy super happy and squeal.

"We're about to save the world here. Personally, I think we should do it in style. Rarity?" Applejack asked.

"I thought you'd never ask!" Rarity said, pulling out a rack of clothes.

"We need to find someone who isn't affected by the Dazzlings' spell. Also, who has loud speakers and stuff like that." Sunset Shimmer said.

Rainbow Dash snapped her fingers. "I got it! I think Vinyl Scratch hasn't been affected!" She said.

"You mean the DJ?" Pinkie Pie asked.

"Think about it, she didn't participate in the Battle of the Bands! She creates music, she must be alright!" Rainbow Dash said.

"That's great! We just need to find her!" Gohan said.

"We only have about an hour before the big show.

"Yeah, let me just give her a call." Rainbow Dash said.

The Dazzlings began to play their song in front of the entire school.

As they sang, they gradually floated with the magic they gained.

"Welcome to show~... We're here to let you know..." Adagio sang.

"Our time is now... Your time is running out..." She sang.

From afar, atop a hill, the Rainbooms stood.

Vinyl Scratch brought her car that turned into a DJ station, as per their request.

"Feel the wave of sound... As it crashes down!" The Dazzlings sang, and the sound actually crashed down.

The sound that crashed down actually got the people to stop from turning away.

"You can turn away, we'll make you want to stay~!" They sang.

They kept floating up and a red aura appeared around them.

They grew their Siren parts, such as the ears and wings.

Their power levels rose!

"We will be adored! You tell us that you want us, we won't be ignored! It's time for our reward! Now you need us, come and heed us! Nothing can stop us NOW!" They sang.

Then, the sounds of drums could be heard.

Then the Rainbooms started to perform at the same time!

"I've got the music in me!" They sang.

"Don't need to hear a crowd, cheering out my name!" Twilight sang.

The Rainbooms managed to actually get the crowd out of their trancelike state.

"I didn't come here seeking infamy of fame!" She sang.

"The one and only thing! That I am here to bring is music, is the music! Is the music in my soul! Gonna break out, AH!" The Rainbooms sang.

They attained their pony ears, tails, and/or wings!

"Set myself free~ yeah! Let it all go, GO! Just let it be~, yeah! Find music in your heart, let music let you set, yourself, apart~!" They sang, as they all floated.

"So the Rainbooms want to turn this into a REAL Battle of the Bands? Then let's battle." Adagio said.

"What we have in store, only want it more!" The Dazzlings sang, putting the audience back under their spell.

"We will break on through, NOW IT'S TIME TO FINISH YOU!" They sang, as their eyes and necklaces glowed a bright red.

The Dazzlings were able to reveal their true forms- As Sirens!

Their human forms were onstage, but the Sirens were roaming freely!

Each one had a red glow around them.

The Rainbooms were surprised about this sudden transformation!

The Sirens Aria and Sonata dived in towards the Rainbooms.

Gohan jumped in front, unleashing a barrage of ki blasts!

Now they only flew around the Rainbooms.

The Rainbooms were seemingly trapped, but the magic of Friendship wasn't ready to lose yet!

Vinyl Scratch raised the volume to max, and Pinkie Pie started banging on the drums.

The rest of the band played, and the sounds of magic were enough to move the Sirens away!

Each instrument created magic that was able to attack the Sirens.

Rarity using diamond magic, Rainbow Dash with red lightning magic, Fluttershy with pink butterfly magic, Applejack with apple magic, Pinkie Pie with balloon magic, and Twilight with just magic magic.

The Sirens responded to this barrage of magic with their voices.

The Sirens were too strong, and quickly overpowered the Rainbooms.

Each of the Rainbooms fell...

The microphone fell to Sunset Shimmer's feet.

Sunset Shimmer picked it up.

"I'll hold them off!" Gohan yelled as he jumped up at the Sirens.

The Sirens were ready to finish them off with their powerful voices.

Gohan kicked each of the Sirens away before they could do something.

The Sirens all charged at Gohan, who flew upwards to make them crash into each other.

He threw a barrage of ki blasts from above.

The Rainbooms were struggling to get up after such a blow.

"Sunset Shimmer, we need you!" Twilight shouted.

Sunset Shimmer hesitated for a moment, but finally made a decision.

She walked in front of the Rainbooms and took off her coat, which revealed her dress.

Vinyl Scratch put on a beat for her.

Gohan flew back down to the Rainbooms and managed to keep the Sirens away with a ki barrier.

"You're never gonna bring me down! You're never gonna break this part of me! My friends are gonna bring me 'round, not singing just for popularity!" Sunset Shimmer sang.

She helped Twilight get back up on her feet.

Then, they sang together!

"We're here to let you know, that we won't let it go, our music is a bomb and it's about to blow! And you can try to fight, but we have the light of Friendship on our side!" They sang, and the band started to play again!

The Sirens dived towards the band.

"Got the music in our hearts... Gonna blow this thing apart!" They sang, creating a rainbow shockwave strong enough to repel the Sirens.

It was even enough to knock the crowd out of their trancelike state!

"And together! We will never! Be afraid of the dark!" The whole band sang.

Gohan flew after them and began to pummel each of the Sirens, removing their option of escape.

"Here to sing our song out loud!" They sang, as Sunset Shimmer attained her pony ears and tail!

"Gets you dancing with the crowd! As the music... Of our friendship... Survives, Survives!" They sang.

The Rainbooms began to float once again.

"Got the music in our hearts! Here to blow this thing apart! And together, we will never, be afraid of the dark!" They sang, as the magic of Friendship formed a rainbow that formed a spiritual alicorn.

Gohan flew up beside it, and began charging his Kamehameha.

Just to make sure.

"Here to sing our song out loud! Gets you dancing in the crowd!" Everyone, even the audience sang.

"As the music, of our friendship... Survives, Survives, survives!" Everyone sang.

The alicorn shot Rainbow magic at the Sirens.

"Kamehameha!" He yelled as he fired his Kamehameha ONLY at the Sirens, not the Dazzlings.

The Dazzlings' necklaces were all destroyed along with the Sirens.

An explosion of blue and rainbows could be seen from afar.

The Dazzlings lost their powers... And their voices.

In a last ditch effort, they sang.

"We will be adored!" They sang with broken voices.

"Tell us that you want us, we won't be ignored!" They sang with broken voices.

The crowd booed.

Gohan appeared in front of them with an angry face.

The trio were fearful for their lives.

"Leave." He said.

The crowd began to throw food and trash at the Dazzlings, getting them offstage.

The Rainbooms all went onstage.

Sunset Shimmer inspected the broken necklaces.

"Guess that explains why these were so special to them." Sunset Shimmer said.

"Without those pendants and the magic you brought here from Equestria, they're just three harmless teenage girls!" Twilight said.

Gohan chuckled at harmless.

"Rainbooms rule!" Flash yelled from afar.

Flash ran up to Twilight and hugged her. "That was amazing!" He exclaimed.

Twilight blushed.

The other girls and boy giggled in response.

Flash also blushed as they looked into each other's eyes.

Then Trixie appeared out of nowhere. "You may have defeated the Dazzlings, but you don't have the ability to stand against the Great and Powerful Trixie!" She yelled before throwing down a smokescreen.

As the smoke died down, she disappeared.

"She's GONE!... Oh wait, there she is." Pinkie Pie said, pointing at the bleachers.

Trixie was trying to jump over the bleachers, and fell down to the ground.

"Trixie is okay!" She said.

"You know, Twilight is going back to Equestria soon. The Rainbooms could really use someone to help Fluttershy with backup vocals." Rainbow Dash said.

Sunset Shimmer smiled, and picked up a nearby guitar.

She played it expertly, much to everyone's surprise.

"I also play guitar!" She said.

Even Rainbow Dash, who quickly regained her composure.

"We'll see." Rainbow Dash said.

And everyone got into a group hug with Sunset Shimmer.

"And Gohan's gonna train us tomorrow!" Rainbow Dash added.

Gohan nodded. "This won't be a walk in the park, you two." He said.

The next day, Twilight was leaving.

Gohan would be staying for a tad longer.

"Really wish you could stay longer." Applejack said.

"Me too, but I have responsibilities in Equestria that I have to get back to." Twilight said.

Pinkie Pie poked her head into the portal.

"It's citizens need me." Twilight said.

Pinkie Pie pulled her head out with a crazed look.

"Now, I can go through the portal whenever I need to. This isn't goodbye- It's just goodbye until next time." Twilight said.

"And this guy's coming almost everyday!" Rainbow Dash said, nudging Gohan.

"As much as I can at approximately 3:00." Gohan said.

"And training will start pretty soon!" Pinkie Pie said.

"Why don't we watch how Gohan's teaches Rainbow Dash and Pinkie?" Applejack asked.

Everyone else nodded.

"Okay, ready Spike?" Twilight asked.

"Ready! Hey, bring back something for us Gohan!" Spike said.

Gohan chuckled. "If I can manage to get one with no money." He said.

Everyone laughed.

"And I'm coming back in a few hours anyway." He added.

Twilight and Spike entered the portal.

"Alright! Now let's get to training!" Rainbow Dash said.

"Heh, alright." Gohan said.
