Hello to everyone who's gotten this far, and to the end of this story.

So yes, just to confirm, this is indeed the end of the story. It's finished. Over. As can be seen, this isn't an actual chapter, 101.7 was the last, but rather, a collection of credits, all the artwork and who made it, all the editors who've helped, and also my own last thoughts.

------Lambs Prey; Last Words------

As once stated at the very start of this story, I began it for 2, well 3, reasons. First, because I wanted to try out and improve myself. Second, because all the good stories I'd come across had one flaw in common; they finished! (Although, er, this is kinda' awkward, as I've now finished too). And lastly, because there were/are too many cliché, repetitive stories out there. You all know how these stories go, and could probably recite one to me with your eyes closed. And I didn't want to make another one of those...

(An irrelevant, but interesting side note, of an additional reason I seriously considered writing this story, was because I was indirectly challenged to from reading In the Company of Night. This was 5 years ago, before Prey and a Lamb began.)

(The challenge having sorta' been; 'If you don't like it, go take years to write your own story first.')

So, just to say although Prey and a Lamb' is now finished, at some point, I might do some short, side stories of what came next, from other characters points of view. eg. The visit to Clan Cilldara, Lemon Pink building up a shadow network, the Royal Wedding, some kind of interaction with the Element Bearers maybe, or just the perspectives of Scenic, Nighthawk, Lilly, Crimson, etc. but no promises on a time line of when might be. No more bi-weekly updates, I'm afraid.

The Why of the End. I had always more or less planned for things to end the way they did. It wasn't that I was suddenly out of time, or lost motivation. This is more or less how it was always going to end. I purposefully left it rather open, for all of you to imagine where it might go from here.

What was important happened. But what comes next? That is open. As they say, the future is yet to be written.

Probably some people don't like this open ending. If you don't, um, sorry I guess? But I've never appreciated, "And they lived happily ever after". I like the ambiguity of being able to imagine a hundred different possible futures.

I imagine there's a whole bunch of questions I haven't covered, and no doubt, I will be answering them in the comments instead. I hope you all enjoyed the story, or can at least forgive me for the ending. Good day, and live a good life.
