Chapter 1: Welcome to Ponyville

Chapter 1: Welcome to Ponyville

"Hey, wake up" somepony said as the shook you. As normal you didn't wake up, thinking that they were just there to bug you.

"Wake up!" they shouted

"AH!" you shouted as you fell off your seat, "You didn't need to yell!"

"Trust me, I've been on this train with you since Appleloosa, I know I need to yell, or you would have missed your stop" the pale white Unicorn that stood in front of you said.

"Yeah, good point" you said as you rubbed your jaw, "Speaking of which, I never caught your name"

"Oh, yeah, I guess I never did tell you" he said as he offered a hoof to you, "I'm Medical Mystery"

"That's an interesting name you got there..." you said absentmindedly as you looked at his cutie mark, which was a medical symbol topped by a question mark.

"I get that a lot" he said as he laughed, "Just an FYI, just call me Med, it sounds better that way"

"Deal, and since we're on the topic of nicknames, just call me Choco" you said as you reached for your suitcase, noticing that the train was about to pull into Ponyville station.

"What, don't want to be called Chocolate Wings?" Med joked as he levitated his own luggage to his side.

"Celestia no" you said as you walked past him into the hallway, "One, it sounds girly, and two, I know it'll make people want to race me"

"Why would anyone want to race you?" Med said as the train jerked to a stop.

"The whole Wings thing" you said as you helped him back to his feet, "Pegasi seem to think it means I like flying or something"

"Ah..." Med said quietly as the two of you began the slow shuffle out of the train, "And here we are!". Med waved his foreleg out in front of him as if he was showing of the quiet Hamlet that was Ponyville. From what you had heard about the town, it would seem as though the town has some fairly famous inhabitants, ranging from the Elements of Harmony to the famous DJ-Pon3, not to mention the fame it's local apple farm has for their apples.

"Where you headed?" you asked as Med began to walk down towards the town.

"I have to go tell the hospital I'm here, they said there was something they need help with" Med said as he scanned the outskirts of town, trying to find the hospital, "See you later". Suddenly Med disappeared in a flash of light, leaving a small scorch mark on the platform where he had stood a minute before.

"I'll never understand why Unicorns do that" you mumbled as you began to make your own way towards the town.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I'm so hungry..." you groaned as your stomach growled as if it wanted to confirm how hungry you were. Luckily for you your nose managed to pick up on the scent of fresh food coming from somewhere nearby. You closed your eyes and trusted your wings to carry you to the source of them smell. After a few minutes you felt your hooves touched ground again, and you opened your eyes to find yourself in front of a small stall in the center of town.

"Can I help you?"

"Are you the one selling apples here?" you asked as you turned around to face the pony that had talked to you. When you turned around you were amazed to learn that the pony you were now talking to was none other than the Element of Honesty, Applejack.

"Yeah" she said as she walked behind the stall, "Do you want an apple?"

"Uh, sure, I guess..." you mumbled, shying away slightly.

"You guess?" she asked as she leaned forwards, eyeing you suspiciously, "Are you okay?"

"Uh, yeah, it's just, uh..." you mumbled again.

"It's what?" Applejack asked forcefully.

"Well, you're uh..." you mumbled yet again.

"What?!" Applejack asked, now getting aggravated.

"You're the Element of Honesty..." you said as you started to back away.

"Yeah, how did you know?" she asked as she walked around the stall towards you.

"Well, you're, uh, kinda famous where I'm from" you said as she got closer.

"Me? Famous?" Applejack said with a laugh, "I find that hard to believe"

"It's true though" you said, your confidence somewhat returning, "Everypony I know knows who you are"

"Care to tell me about it?" she asked as she walked back to the stall. You made your way over as well, although not without noting how toned Applejack's muscles were. After you managed to stop staring you noticed that she had pulled a pair of chairs out from under the stall, and was in the process of setting yours up. Withing a few minutes your were telling Applejack everything you knew about how famous she was.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Well, that's one heck of a story" Applejack said as you finished telling her why she's famous, "What about the other Elements?"

"They're all famous too" you said as you took a bite out of an apple.

"Really? Well then..." Applejack said as she leaned in, "Who's your favourite?"

"Well, uh..." you said as you slowly started to turn red.

"Is it me?" Applejack asked, sounding somewhat hopeful. You slowly nodded in response, feeling embarrassed. Much to your surprise Applejack gave you a quick hug before quickly turning back to her stall, the afternoon rush now beginning. After turning back to your normal chocolate tone you got up and started to walk away.

"You going to pay for that apple?"

"Huh?" you said as you looked up to see a fairly large red Earth pony standing in front of you.

"I said are you going to pay for that apple" he said again, this time taking a step towards you.

"Big Macintosh!" Applejack shouted as she ran over, "What are you doin'?"

"He took that apple and didn't pay for it" the stallion said as he motioned his head towards the half eaten apple you were holding.

"I gave him that apple, so it's okay" Applejack said as she pushed the stallion back.

"Now sis, you know we can't be givin' away apples to ponies just because we like them" the stallion said jokingly.

"Macintosh!" Applejack yelled as she continued to push the stallion, who you now know is her brother, back.

"All right, all right, I'll go" Mac said as he turned around and started walking towards the edge of town. Instead of going back to her stall Applejack just sat down on the ground with a thump.

"You okay Applejack?" you asked as you gently floated over.

"Yeah, and by the way," Applejack turned to face you, "What's your name"

"Oh, my name? It's not important" you said in an attempt to change the subject, "So what's with your brother?"

"It's nothing, but again, what's your name?" Applejack asked again.

"It's not important really" you said as you backed away, noticing a familiar Unicorn walking towards you.

"Hey Choco, what's going on?" Med said as he walked towards you and Applejack, oblivious to what was happening.

"Is Choco his real name, or is it a nickname?" Applejack asked, not missing a beat.

"Uh, it's his nickname" Med replied while giving Applejack a puzzled look.

"So what's his real name?" Applejack asked as she leaned towards Med, who was leaning back at the same rate.

"It's, uh..." Med said as he looked to you for help.

"It's Chocolate Wings" you finally said, causing Applejack to go back to her normal upright position.

"Chocolate Wings huh?" she said as she rubbed her chin, "You must like flying, seeing as you have Wings in your name"

"See, told you everypony thinks that" you said as you looked at Med, who was now rolling on the ground laughing.

"What's so funny?" Applejack asked, looking very confused.

"I hate flying, I'd actually rather be an Earth pony" you said as you gave Med a quick kick to the ribs.

"Really? I though all Pegasi loved to fly" Applejack said as she looked at your wings.

"Well, I guess I'm an exception to that rule," you said as you pulled Med to his hooves, "it's actually what made me come to Ponyville"

"What does Ponyville have to do with not wanting to fly?"

"Well, I hear they are understaffed at the local farm, so I-" you began to say, until you were cut off by Applejack.

"We're not understaffed, me and my brother are all the staff we need!" Applejack shouted as she quickly ran over to her stall. She quickly gave the waiting ponies their apples, packed up, and ran off in the same direction you had seen her brother go earlier.

"What just happened?" Med asked as he stared at the place where the apple stall had been a moment before.

"I think I just got fired before I even started" you said flatly. Luckily for you, you didn't have time to wallow in self pity, as suddenly your vision was filled with pink, and everything smelled like cotton candy for some off reason.

"Pinkie get off his face!"

"Oh, sorry. Well at least my butt is nice and soft"

"Pinkie!"

"Okay, okay, I'll get off"

You felt the mare getting off your face, only now realizing exactly what part of her had been touching your face, causing you to turn red for the second time that day.

"We're so sorry about that, she just gets a little out of control sometimes" said a familiar voice. You opened your eyes to see Rainbow Dash standing in front of you, looking extremely apologetic, unlike her partner in crime, who was currently talking Med's ear off.

"It's fine" you said flatly.

"You okay?" Rainbow asked, noticing your sad tone.

"Yeah, just a little bummed out that's all" you replied in the same flat tone.

"Hey Pinkie, I think he needs your help" Rainbow said, causing the other mare to stop talking and run over to you. Pinkie looked at you for a while, and then proceeded to look at every inch of your body, more than once causing you to jump and turn red.

"You know what he needs?" Pinkie asked to no one in particular.

"Cheering up?" Med said, oblivious to what he had just started.

"Exactly! He needs 100cc of party!" Pinkie said as she pulled a cannon out of nowhere. Within minutes the entire area was decorated as though she had been planning the party for days, and already ponies were starting to show up. This ended up distracting everypony long enough for you to slip away, finding a nice tree to lay in so you could collect your thoughts. Although you were depressed the tree had managed to become extremely comfortable, and you eventually fell asleep.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

THUMP

You were shaken awake, expecting to be back on the train, only to find yourself still in the tree. "Great, so it wasn't a bad dream" you mumbled as you got back into a comfortable position.

THUMP

"What the hay is making that noise?" you said as you looked for any signs of fireworks in the sky.

THUMP

This time you fell out of the tree, falling around 5' to the ground.

"Son of a bi-" you began to say, but stopped as you were picked up by somepony and pushed against the tree you had been laying in just a moment before.

"What did you do to my sister?!" the pony asked as he pushed you harder into the tree.

"Nothing, I swear!" you shouted, feeling something pricking your nether regions painfully.

"Then why did she run home?!" he shouted as he pushed you into the tree even more.

"I just said that I wanted to work at the apple farm, and then she got mad and ran off!" you shouted, feeling the pain increase.

"Oh" the pony let go of you and let you fall to the ground, "Well, that's just like her, turning away help because of her pride". You slowly got to your hooves, every movement giving you pain, and you looked at your attacker. As you had guessed it was Applejack's brother, Macintosh, who now looked very calm.

"Sorry about roughing you up there, I thought maybe you had done something else to my sis" he said as he helped you get steady, noticing how shaky you were.

"It's okay, but, why aren't you mad that I wanted to help at the farm?" you asked as he started to lead you out to a nearby road.

"I'd like the help, to be honest" he said as he let you go, "but I don't think we'll be hirin' you"

"Why not?" you asked as he started to walk away.

"Well, you're a Pegasus, we only want Earth ponys" he said bluntly.

"But..." you tried to speak up.

"Sorry, but that's just how it is" Mac said, turning back to face you, "Maybe the Cakes will hire you"

"Why do you say that?" you asked, wondering why the town baker's would hire you.

"Well, your name's Chocolate, so I would imagine you're good at making sweets" Mac said while giving you a confused look.

"I hate my name so much right now..." you mumbled as you took off, hoping to find a soft cloud to stay on for the night.

Chapter 2: Rude Awakening

Chapter 2: Rude Awakening

It was early in the morning, so early Celestia still had to raise the sun, when you woke up to the sound of thunder. You tried to get up, but unluckily for you, you had managed to find the fluffiest cloud in the skies over Ponyville. Normally this would be a good thing, but this time it was the worst possible thing, seeing as you were partially trapped inside the cloud. As you struggled you heard the thunder getting closer, the feeling of electricity starting to course through your body. Fuck, fuck, fuck!, you shouted inside your head, knowing that within a few minutes you would be cooked alive due to the lightning. You heard another loud bang, then another, and another, each time the period between them getting smaller and smaller.

"Son of a bitch! I can't die here!" you shouted into the air, hoping that a weather pony might hear you and come to your rescue. You felt electricity build up around you, and in your head you silently tried to be forgiven for every bad thing you had done in your life, when you felt the cloud around you break apart. You opened your eyes to find yourself falling down from the clouds, as bolt of lightning shot across the hole where you were just a second before. Thinking that a kind weather pony had saved you, you looked around to try and find them, but there was nopony around. What the fu..., you thought to yourself, only now realizing that you were falling at such a speed that an air cone was beginning to form around you. As you tried to flap your wings you felt the air cone coming to a point, the sound barrier about to break, when your wings shot open, causing you to fling high into the sky, flying straight through the hole you had made in the clouds.

"SON OF A BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITCH!" you yelled as you hit the apex of your flight, now falling just as fast back down towards the cloud layer. You brought your forelegs forward in the hopes that you could punch a hole through the cloud layer once more. Just before you hit the clouds you opened your eyes to see a weird glow coming off of your hooves. What the hell?, you thought to yourself as you hit the cloud layer, closing your eyes to make sure you didn't get anything in them, and after you opened your eyes again the glow was gone. Although you would have loved to think about what it was more, you had more pressing matters to attend to. Like the fact that you were now going straight down and were probably minutes away from hitting the ground.

WHACK

The air was knocked out of you as something, or somepony, caught you. You looked at your saviour, only to see that it was none other than Rainbow Dash.

"Thanks!" you shouted in an attempt to be heard over the wind. Either she didn't hear you, or she didn't care, as she didn't say anything back as she continued to fly with you in her legs. You quickly looked around to try and figure out where you being taken when you saw a large tree right ahead of you. From what you had heard about Ponyville, you could make a fairly educated guess that that tree was the town library. As you got closer you noticed that Rainbow was slowing down, which meant this was her destination all along.

"What the hay were you doing up there in a storm?!" Rainbow shouted as she dropped you on the ground.

"I fell asleep on a cloud, and I woke up when the storm started" you said as you got to your hooves, shaking your head to get some dirt out of your mane.

"Then you are damned lucky to be alive" Rainbow said as she knocked on the door. You quickly looked over your body, checking for burns, cuts, or bruises. Thankfully you were unharmed, except for the amount of mud that was stuck in your coat and mane. You were trying to get some of the mud out when you you stopped feeling the rain hitting your back. You looked around and saw a purple Unicorn standing in the doorway, levitating an umbrella over you.

"You going to come in?" the Unicorn asked, motioning her head towards the inside of the tree.

"Oh, uh, sure" you quickly trotted inside, doing your best to stop yourself from shaking dry, "Thanks for letting me in"

"No problem, Rainbow said she saw you falling from the sky" the Unicorn said, "Oh, and I'm Twilight Sparkle by the way"

"Oh, uh, hi" you said sheepishly, now afraid that you might have made a fool of yourself in front of the Element of Magic, and Celestia's personal student. Twilight gave you a worried look, but was distracted when a door was opened from further inside the library.

"Hey Rainbow, hey, uh, whoever you are..." a little purple dragon said as he walked towards another door. He obviously didn't care that there was a new Pegasus in the library, but Twilight did.

"Spike!" Twilight said as she walked towards him, "Show him towards the shower"

"But, Twilight, it's lunchtime!" Spike whined.

"It's fine, I'll just head back outside and shake off" you said, not wanting to cause a scene. Twilight didn't have time to object as you were already outside by the time she turned around. You went out in the clearing outside the library, lowered down, and shook off, sending mud flying in all directions. After you deemed yourself sufficiently clean you turned back towards the library, only to see Rainbow and Twilight staring at you with confused looks on their faces.

"I had no idea you were that muddy" Rainbow said as she looked at the copious amounts of mud that had been tossed around.

"That's one of the joys of being chocolate coloured" you said sarcastically as you walked back into the library. You looked around and saw a towel laying on the floor, so you picked it up and dried yourself off with it.

"So, you're sure you're not still muddy" Twilight said while looking you over, probably looking for any sign of mud that was still stuck to your body.

"Yes, I'm sure, do you see any mud on me?" you said confidently as you used your wings to help you stand on your hind legs.

"Well actually you do have a bit of mud right here" Twilight said as she moved towards you, taking the towel out of your hoof, and began to levitate it close to your...

"Wait, I can get that!" you shouted, your face turning bright red. Twilight jumped back slightly stunned, but she quickly turned red as she realized where she was putting the towel. Rainbow burst into laughter behind her as the two of you awkwardly stood there, not sure of what to say or do next. A few minutes later Rainbow suddenly stopped laughing, and quickly got to her hooves.

"Wait, how did you get out of the storm?" Rainbow said, causing both you and Twilight to look at her in confusion.

"What?" you asked, unsure of what she meant.

"Well, you said you were sleeping in a cloud when the storm started, but how did you get out without getting electrocuted?"

"I have no idea, all I know is that the second time I made a hole in the clouds there was this weird glow around my hooves" you said, looking at one of your forelegs with a look of confusion on your face.

"Can you describe it?" Twilight asked, a quill and paper now floating in front of her.

"Well..." you began, ready to explain everything to Twilight and Rainbow.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"...and then Rainbow caught me and brought me here" you finished, after what seemed like an hour of explaining, with Twilight asking plenty of questions throughout your explanation.

"I've never heard of anything like this happening before" Twilight said quietly to herself, "I must tell Princess Celestia!"

"Do you really have to?" you asked, hoping that she wasn't being serious about it.

"Yes, this is something new and interesting, the Princess must know" Twilight said as she rolled up her paper, "She might even know what caused it. SPIKE!". After a few seconds the purple dragon came out of one of the other rooms and ran over to Twilight.

"What is it?" Spike asked, hoping to get it over and done with so he could go back to bed.

"I need you send this letter to Celestia right away!" Twilight ordered as she passed the letter to Spike, who quickly burped fire and caused the letter to disappear. You would be a bit more confused if you hadn't seen it happen before when you got in trouble at school. You remember the principal getting a small red dragon to send a letter to your father the same way. As you began to relive the memory of your first suspension you heard Spike burp and you saw another paper appear, which was quickly picked up by Twilight.

"So, what's it say?" you asked as Twilight's eyes narrowed.

"She says it could be possible that under extreme stress you're able to channel magic similar to a Unicorn" Twilight said, while looking very uncertain.

"But isn't that impossible?" Rainbow asked.

"It's not impossible, but it's highly improbable" Twilight said, sounding like a school teacher who was answering a student.

"But how? I thought only Unicorns can use magic" Rainbow said, now rubbing her head as if it would help it make sense.

"That's not true, in fact Pegasi use magic all the time when they fly and manipulate the weather" you said, causing both Twilight and Rainbow to look at you in surprise.

"How did you know that?" Rainbow asked slowly.

"What, just because I'm a Pegasus that means I can't know about magic?" you said in a sarcastic tone, "I paid attention to the magic lessons in school"

"Well, he is right, Pegasi can use magic, but it's usually innate, but some Pegasi have been known to exhibit some magical ability in the past" Twilight said as she pulled a book off one of the shelves. You quickly glanced at the cover, Great Pegasi in History, you chuckled slightly at the simplicity of the title before it opened due to Twilight's magic.

"See, if you look right here..." Twilight said as she pointed to a picture of an older looking Pegasi with a beard, "Sir Fleet Foot was one of Starswirl the Bearded's personal assistants, and was capable of perform teleportation and levitation spells with great concentration"

"Wow, I never knew how interesting history was" Rainbow said sarcastically while rolling her eyes.

"Whatever, what this means is that you might be able to do the same thing with practice" Twilight said enthusiastically.

"Oh great, now I can do magic" you said while throwing your head into your hooves, "Why can't I just live like an Earth pony?!"

"You want to be an Earth pony?" Twilight asked.

"Yeah, I always felt like I have a better connection to the land then I do to the sky, it's why I came to Ponyville" you said, your tone becoming a sad one as you remembered the previous day's events.

"What's wrong?" Twilight asked as she put a hoof on your shoulder.

"Well, I came here to work on the apple farm, but they turned me away just because I was a Pegasus" you said glumly.

"Oh, well, uh..." Rainbow said, unable to think of anything to say that would comfort you.

"What if we helped prove to them that you could work on the farm?" Twilight said eagerly.

"Would that work?" you asked, hoping she would say yes.

"Possibly, I know that it would change their outlook if they saw how hard of a worker you are" Twilight said as she put the book on Pegasi away.

"Well, looks like the rain stopped," Rainbow said with her face pressed against a window, "We might as well get started now!"

"I really don't think this is going to work" you said as you were pushed out of the library by Twilight's magic.

"Don't worry, I know exactly where we can start!" Twilight said as she pulled Rainbow close to her, whispering something into her ear. When Rainbow was let go she flew off towards the outskirts of town at a breakneck speed, and Twilight came up next to you.

"So what's your plan?" you asked while you watched Rainbow disappear over the horizon.

"First, we'll prove that you work well with animals" Twilight said as she started walking in the same direction you saw Rainbow fly in. Looks like I have no choice but to do this, you thought to yourself as you looked towards the center of the town, managing to catch a glimpse of Applejack back behind her apple stall, happily handing out apples to her paying customers. You tore your eyes off her, knowing that focusing on it would only make you become severely depressed, and that would only manage to hurt your chances of working at the farm even more.

Chapter 3: Bunny Trouble

Chapter 3: Bunny Trouble

"So how exactly is this going to work?" you asked as Twilight led you out of Ponyville towards the Everfree Forest.

"Well, we have a friend who is really good with animals, and maybe she can teach you" Twilight said and a small cottage appear over the horizon.

"But what does that have to do with working on an apple farm?" you asked, stopping where you were.

"It is a farm you know. Farms have animals on them" Twilight said while giving you a confused look.

"Oh, yeah, I guess you're right" you said quietly as you trotted back to her side. A few more minutes of walking and the two of you arrived at the cottage you had seen before. Upon closer inspection you noticed countless animals running around on the inside, and a few outside, and you wondered what kind of pony would live in those conditions. Twilight knocked on the door while you looked at the animals, but your attention was very quickly changed to the pony that lived in the cottage.

"Fluttershy, we need your help" Twilight said as she nodded in your direction, "We need to make sure he's good with animals"

"Oh, um, okay, well, um, I'm Fluttershy" Fluttershy said, her voice getting quieter the more she spoke.

"Oh, I'm, uh..." you said, your voice also getting quieter. You were dumbstruck by how beautiful the mare standing in the door was. Her golden coat and pink mane were beautifully maintained, her eyelashes were amazing styled, and her shyness made your heart flutter. Maybe that's why they call her Fluttershy, you thought to yourself, noticing how good her body looked while you tried to compose yourself. When you got back to her face you noticed she was doing the same, and when your eyes met the two of you looked away as fast as possible.

"Uh, guys, what are you doing?" Twilight asked, her gaze switching between the two of you.

"P-please come in" Fluttershy said, trying to avoid eye contact. She walked back into her house, Twilight in tow, while you just stared at her, amazed by her beauty. Before you could snap out of it you felt somepony hit your arm, and when you looked Rainbow Dash was floating next to you, grinning.

"Better get going Romeo" she joked.

"Sure..." you said, still mesmerized by Fluttershy. You slowly walked into the house, making sure you didn't step on any animals, as you had seen a family of squirrels run past the door before you walked through it. After you got inside you looked around for where Fluttershy and Twilight had gone, and saw the two of them sitting on a couch together. Again you were stunned by Fluttershy's beauty, standing in the doorway while looking at her.

"You better control yourself Romeo, she has a wicked bite" Rainbow whispered into your ear, causing you to come back to reality. You shook your head to make sure you could think straight and walked over to the other couch in the room, taking a seat only to be quickly joined by Rainbow Dash.

"Why are you sitting here?" you asked, knowing there was a seat open near the girls.

"Making sure you don't do anything weird" Rainbow said, nodding towards Fluttershy, causing you to turn red. You quickly hid your face, hoping that Fluttershy didn't see it, but it was too late.

"A-are you okay?" Fluttershy asked, hovering in front of you.

"Y-yeah, it's fine" you said, still looking at the floor.

"Oh, okay..." Fluttershy said somewhat sadly, causing Rainbow to poke you in the ribs.

"I think she wanted to be alone with you" Rainbow whispered into your ear, making you turn a darker shade of red. You kept your head down, but you did hear Rainbow get off the couch and say something to Twilight. You quickly looked up to see what was going on and saw the two of them leaving the cottage, leaving you alone with Fluttershy. The two of you just sat there, not saying or doing anything for around an hour. You had begun to feel your eyelids droop, and you finding it hard to keep your eyes open. Curses, why is this couch so comfortable?!, you shouted inside your head as you fell asleep.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Oh, Choco!" Fluttershy said as you got closer to her.

"Oh Fluttershy!" you said as you embraced her. The two of you were madly in love, kissing for long periods of time, not wanting it to ever stop. It was perfect, there was nothing but love between the two of you. It was like a dream...

THUD

"Son of a bi-" you began to say as you opened your eyes, finding yourself on the floor of Fluttershy's cottage. You quickly looked around to figure out what time it was. Midnight, you thought as you saw the moon high in the sky, Was I really asleep that long?.

"Eep!" you heard somepony squeak from behind you, followed by a smash. When you turned around you saw Fluttershy cowering slightly, a tea cup broken on the floor.

"I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to scare you" you said as you moved to pick up the broken cup. You heard Fluttershy mumble something, but she said it too quietly for you to figure out what she said, so you quickly rushed into what you assumed was the kitchen with the pieces of the cup in your hooves. It wasn't easy finding her garbage can, seeing as it was nearly pitch black in her kitchen, but you found it, and you tossed the pieces in. After making sure no pieces had fallen on the floor you headed back to the main room, finding Fluttershy talking to a little white bunny, who looked very angry.

You looked around the area where the cup had fallen, once again making sure there were no pieces that could cut anypony on the floor, when you heard Fluttershy talk about you to the bunny.

"Angel please, he's a nice stallion, don't be so mean to him" she said, obviously not knowing you were in the room. You looked at her and the bunny, but then decided to try and hide so you could find out what Fluttershy felt about you when you felt something stab into your hoof. Your instinctively looked at where the pain originated from, only to see part of the cup lodged into your front right hoof.

"Oh dear, what is it Angel?" you heard Fluttershy say as you heard a thumping noise come closer to your hiding spot. You looked up to see the bunny looking at you angrily, pointing at you as though you had committed a crime of sorts. A few seconds later you saw Fluttershy poke her head around the corner, squeaking when she saw your bloody hoof.

"Oh my, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry!" Fluttershy said as she picked you up, nearly throwing you onto one of the couches. She quickly flew away and came back a moment later with a first aid kit. She pushed you onto your back and straddled you, forcing you to stay still. After you stopped struggling she pulled a pair of tweezers out of the kit and began to pull on the piece that was in your hoof. The two of you watched in horror as a large chunk of the cup came out of your hoof, nearly as big as the bunny, and blood flowed out of your hoof, getting her bloody in the process. She expertly wrapped a bandage around the would while simultaneously disinfecting it. You gritted your teeth in pain, trying your hardest to not buck her off.

"There, all better" Fluttershy said, sounding exhausted, as she lightly kissed your hoof, causing you to turn dark red. A few seconds later she turned red as well, obviously now realizing what she just did.

"Thanks, Fluttershy" you said quietly.

"It was no problem" Fluttershy said as she looked at you, her face very close to yours. The two of you brought your mouths close together, about to kiss, when there was a loud tapping noise from the front of the couch. You looked down and saw the bunny known as Angel tapping his foot very quickly, obviously not liking what was happening.

"Shoo!" you whispered, hoping Fluttershy wouldn't hear you, but Angle stay there, tapping his foot furiously.

"What is it Angel dear?" Fluttershy asked, her voice wavering slightly. The bunny pointed at you and then her, and shook his head. He obviously didn't want you to get close to Fluttershy. Fluttershy quickly got off of you, looking very embarrassed, but you didn't want a little bunny messing up your chance. You got off the couch and walked towards Angel, making yourself as big as possible.

"Now listen here!" you said as you pointed a hoof at him. Angel quickly punched the hoof that was in his face, and unluckily for you, it happened to be the hoof Fluttershy had just wrapped up. You quickly passed out from the pain and fell to the floor, your last sight being the bunny's triumphant grin.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You woke up slowly, feeling somewhat nauseous, and you opened your eyes so you could find out where you were. A quick look and you knew you were still at Fluttershy's cottage, made obvious by the way the room looked and the number of animal noises you could hear. You noticed a clock on the wall saying that it was still before dawn, and you were about to get up when you felt something tug on your foreleg. You looked next to you and saw Fluttershy sleeping on top of the bed sheets, hugging your arm tight. You nearly passed out again from the cuteness, but you managed to stay awake as you laid back down, not wanting the moment to end. You were about to get closer to Fluttershy when you felt something tug on your other leg.

It was Angel, and he looked angry. Before you could react you were pulled out of the bed and tossed against the wall, waking Fluttershy up. She got up slowly, rubbing her eyes before she noticed you in a heap on the floor, Angel staring at you with eyes full of hate.

"Angel bunny!" Fluttershy said as she flew in front of you, staring at the bunny. Angel looked defiantly at her for a few seconds before his face lost all emotion. He slowly turned around and left the room, reminding you of a zombie that you had seen in a movie. After Angel was out of the room Fluttershy turned around and began to freak out.

"Oh dear, oh no..." she kept repeating as she looked you over. You tried to get up when you felt a sharp pain in your wings, you looked at the to figure out what was wrong when you saw that they were twisted and bending the wrong way. You tried to move them but they stayed still, you quickly got to your hooves and started to limp towards the door, hoping to make it to the hospital before you passed out from the pain. You looked back to Fluttershy who was staring at you in horror, only to notice a trail of blood going from where you hit the wall to where you were standing. When you looked back at your wings again you saw a large section of bone showing out of the right one, and the left one looked like someone had taken a hammer to it.

"Wait, don't move!" Fluttershy said, suddenly shooting into action. She quickly grabbed the first aid kit again and began to wrap up your wings. When she finished she pulled your injured hoof over her neck and began to pull you towards the door. Within minutes you were outside while Fluttershy talked to the animals, trying to get them to help her. Apparently she really was good with animals as she soon had a large group of birds lifting you onto her back. As she took off, utilizing some sort of superpony strength, a handful of the birds let go, leaving an eagle, a falcon, and an owl to help Fluttershy carry you.

"Thanks Fluttershy..." you said as you passed out, not able to fight the pain any longer.

Chapter 4: Rest and Recovery

Chapter 4: Rest and Recovery

You were staring at a white ceiling in a hospital bed. The last thing you remember was Fluttershy getting some birds to help her carry you, and then you were in this bed, alone. At first you were worried about Fluttershy, having already picked up on her sensitive nature, but she came to visit you a few hours after you woke up. She even managed to get Angel to apologize for breaking your wings, but you were able to tell it wasn't sincere even though you didn't understand bunny. She left around two hours ago, and so far nopony has shown up to see you except one of the nurses. Nurse Redheart, if you could remember correctly. She was flirting with you for a few minutes before another nurse came in to get her. She hasn't come back yet, but you have seen somepony's mane pop up through the window in the door.

You were about to say come in when the door opened, but much to your surprise it wasn't Nurse Redheart. It wasn't even Fluttershy. It was Applejack.

"Uh, howdy" she said as she slowly walked into the room, surprised to find you awake.

"Hi" you replied, confused as to why she would be here. You followed her as she pushed a chair up to your bedside and sat on it, looking down at the floor before she finally spoke up.

"Look, I heard what you were doin' from Twilight," she said, obviously mentioned your failed attempt to prove you work well with animals, "but you don't need to do it"

"Why not? It's the only way your brother would let me work on your farm" you said in a somewhat angry voice.

"I know, but you don't need to work at our farm" Applejack said sternly.

"Why not? I heard about the Applebuck incident" you said, causing Applejack to flinch as she remembered what happened.

"Look, I know you just want to help, but we don't need it" she said as she got up, "And nopony needs you killing yourself over it"

"I'm not going to kill myself..." you muttered as Applejack left the room. You threw your head back into the pillows in anger. Why won't they just let me work there, you thought as you rolled over to look out the window, ironically facing the farm, It's not like it would hurt anypony.

Knock, knock

"Come in" you said glumly as the door opened.

"Nice to see you're in a good mood"

"Oh, hi Med" you said as you sat up to greet your friend. When you saw him in a lab coat holding up a chart you realized he wasn't there to see you as a friend, but as your doctor. He scanned your sheet as he moved to your bedside, putting it back in it's holder a few minutes later.

"So, mind telling me what horrible monster did this to you?" he asked.

"A bunny named Angel" you said angrily, remembering how the whole thing went down.

"Seriously, a bunny did this to you?!" Med asked in disbelief, all the while trying not to laugh.

"Oh shut it" you said as you laid back down, "He was upset that I was getting close to Fluttershy"

"Wow, here for two days and you already got your ass kicked over a girl" Med said as he took of his lab coat, "Must be a new record!"

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up" you said as you sat up again.

"So, want the good news or bad news first?" Med asked, his voice adopting a more professional tone.

"Uh, good news first" you said, somewhat afraid of what he was about to tell you.

"Okay, good news first" Med said as he cleared his throat, "The good news is your wings are going to heal, so we didn't have to amputate them, which means you will still be a Pegasus"

"Wonderful" you mumbled.

"The bad news is you can't fly for six months, and you will have to come here every two days so we can check on you" Med said as his voice went back to normal, "Of and you've been here for two months already"

"Oh how per-" your brain finally registered the last part, "TWO MONTHS?!"

"When Fluttershy arrived with you on her back you were comatose. We quickly operated on your wings and put you in here, waiting for you to wake up" Med said, remembering the day you arrived, "Oh and by the way, that was most interesting way anypony has every come to a hospital". He laughed to himself, but stopped when he realized you had rolled over, turning your back to him.

"Oh cheer up, I have one more bit of good news for you" Med said as he shook you.

"What" you asked, trying to get him to go away so you could wallow in self pity for a while.

"Everyday Applejack showed up to check on you after Twilight told her what happened" Med said just before leaving the room. Your mood suddenly changed at that. Applejack came to see me?, you thought as you got up, Why would she do that if she was so angry at me for wanting to work at her farm?. You were trying to figure out Applejack's reasons when Nurse Redheart came into your room. She slowly walked over, a seductive look on her face. As she got closer to your bed she took off her hat, putting in your bedside table while shaking her flank in your face.

After turning around she pulled the sheets back, and climbed onto your bed. You tried to move, but she pinned you down, and she slowly slid down to your nether regions, but on her way down she pinched your wings and caused you to pass out from the sudden and sharp pain.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You woke up in the middle of the night, alone again when you noticed your bed sheets were still pulled down. Looking around you tried to find any sign of Nurse Redheart, but she was definitely gone. You were looking out the window when your door opened, making you quickly look over to it. Applejack was standing in the doorway, and before she turned on the light you turned over and pretended to sleep.

You heard the chair being pulled back over to your bedside. When you heard Applejack sit down you prepared for the worst, but instead you felt her put her head down on your side. She didn't say anything for a few minutes, but eventually she sat up and started to talk.

"Nopony's ever wanted to work at our farm as much as you" she started as she voice began to crack, "No matter how many times we've allowed an Earth pony a chance to work at our farm they always run away after their first day, and yet you...". You heard her sniffle, and saw her wipe her face with her hoof before she continued.

"You're not even an Earth pony and yet you're willing to do anything to work at our farm" she said as she lowered her head down again, "If only you were an Earth pony...". She didn't say anything after that, instead she just slowly cried. After a little while she stopped crying, and ended up falling asleep. You fell asleep a little while later.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You woke up, alone again, only to see a small wet spot on your sheets. Luckily it was high up enough that the Nurses wouldn't think you pissed yourself, so you didn't worry too much. You sat there for a few minutes before Nurse Redheart came in with a tray that had eggs and toast on it for you.

"Good morning" you said, trying to be courteous.

"Morning" she said as she pushed the cart to your bedside. She slowly started to put the food in front of you before she leaned in, giving you a small kiss on the cheek.

"I think you aught to change your name to Big Mac" she whispered before she left with a giggle, leaving you sitting there confused.

"Wait, does that mean..." you mumbled as you tried to figure out what she meant. You had started to eat your eggs when you finally figured it out.

"Wait, does that mean that she, and I..." you mumbled in disbelief. That was everypony's dream, and you were passed out for it! You were about to start to mentally berate yourself over it when Med walked in.

"How's it going?" He asked as he sat down.

"Good, I guess" you said, trying to hide what you know happened.

"So, I'm going to have to give you a new nurse" Med said flatly.

"Why?" you asked, already knowing the answer to that question.

"Well, considering she basically molested you..." Med said in a sarcastic tone.

"Wait, she really did, uh, you know, it?" you asked, not sure if he was pulling your leg or not.

"Yeah, but apparently she only did it because you looked good" Med said with a grin, "And since she only told me I decided to let her off with a warning and assigned her to a mare"

"You sure she only told you about it? No demonstrations?" you asked jokingly, knowing that she would have normally lost her job.

"Yeah, no demonstration, or we both would have lost our jobs" Med said flatly, "Oh, and I have some news for you"

"What, have you decided to take my wings off so I can be an Earth pony?" you asked, somewhat sarcastically.

"No, we're letting you out today" Med said while giving you a confused look, "Why would you want to lose your wings?"

"No reason, just thought that maybe you would get a kick out of it" you said, trying to lie about the real reason.

"It's about the whole farm thing isn't it?" Med asked, obviously seeing straight through your lie.

"Yeah..." you said while looking at the spot on the bed that Applejack had cried on, "But it doesn't matter! Wings or no wings I'm going to work on that farm!"

"Nice enthusiasm, but remember, no flying for six months" Med said as he moved to help you out of the bed, "Now, let's get you checked out". Med helped you out of bed and brought you down to the hospital's lobby where he helped you fill out the paperwork required to let you go. After everything was filled out you said goodbye and began to walk back to Ponyville, only to be interrupted by a certain cyan Pegasus.

"I see you got let out finally" Rainbow said as she landed next to you, "How's the wings?"

"I can't fly for six months, and I have to come back here every two days" you said as you nodded to your still bandaged wings.

"Ouch, that's gotta suck" Rainbow said as she took the air again, "Here I know what'll cheer you up, follow me!". She quickly shot away, leaving a rainbow trail behind her. It took a few minutes for her to come back to you, after she realized her mistake. She looked apologetic, but you waved a hoof at her.

"It's fine" you said as you started walking again, "So where are you taking me?"

"Sugar Cube Corner, it's-" she started before you cut her off.

"The bakery" you said, turning to face her, "Why are we going there?"

"Well, a friend of mine throws parties for everypony that's new to town, and since you're still technically new..." Rainbow said as she remembered why you didn't have a party earlier, "Sorry about what happened by the way"

"It's fine, Fluttershy already apologized, and she tried to make Angel, but it was obvious he didn't want to" you said as you picked up the pace.

"Okay, well, for what it's worth, Fluttershy said she would have liked to see you again if Angel wasn't so against it" Rainbow said as she matched your speed.

"Oh, well, it doesn't matter" you said as you remembered what happened last night, "I have a different mare that I have to work for"

"Who?" Rainbow asked, eager to find out.

"You'll see..." you said as you broke into a run, "Race you!". Rainbow didn't respond verbally but instead took off into a sprint, passing you almost instantly. You continued to run at a comfortable speed for around half and hour until you caught up to a very tired looking Rainbow. She had obviously used up all her energy in her started and didn't have enough to sustain her speed, and hit the wall fairly fast. Luckily when you caught up to her the two of you were on the edges of Ponyville, Sugar Cube Corner in sight.

Chapter 5: Worst. Party. Ever.

Chapter 5: Worst. Party. Ever.

"Why does everypony keep staring at me" you grunted as you passed by a group of colts.

"Might be the fact that your wings are tied to you," Rainbow said as she got closer to your ear, "Or the fact that everypony knows what you're trying to do"

"How the hay would they know what I'm doing?" you asked, stopping on the stop.

"Well, I might have told Rarity, and she might have told somepony, who told somepony, who told-" Rainbow said until you but her off with your hoof.

"I get the picture" you said in an agitated tone. You turned away from Rainbow and started a run towards Sugar Cube Corner, hoping Pinkie Pie's party would help lighten your mood. As you got closer you noticed that the windows were shut, along with the door, on Sugar Cube Corner. You turned around to face Rainbow, only to find out she had flown away, probably to get inside the bakery without you noticing. Great, a surprise party, you thought angrily as you walked up to the door.

Knock, knock

"It's open!" you heard somepony shout from inside, anticipation seeping from their voice. You decided to play long with the plan and opened the door slowly.

"SURPRISE!"

"Oh, my, a surprise party for me?" you said, half-assedly pretending to be surprised.

"You're faking it!" a pink pony yelled at you from inside a plant.

"Pinkie Pie I'm guessing?" you asked as the pony climbed out of the plant, somehow not covered in leaves and dirt.

"Yesserie!" Pinkie said as she started to shake your hoof, "It's nice to meet you..."

"It's Choco" you said awkwardly, knowing that there were around fifty ponies staring at you at the moment.

"That sounds like a nickname!" Pinkie said as she hopped away, a alligator clinging to her tail. You decided to walk over to the only ponies you recognized in the entire place.

"Hi Fluttershy, Twilight" you said, pausing for a moment, "Rainbow"

"Hi" Fluttershy and Twilight said in unison, Rainbow nodding to show her acknowledgement.

"You excited for your party?" Twilight asked, waving a hoof at the mass gathering of ponies behind you.

"Not really, considering I'm guessing most of the ponies that are here, are here for free food and drink" you said pessimistically, noticing a purple toned pony downing an entire cup of punch.

"But it's a Pinkie Pie party, everypony loves them!" Rainbow said, pointing at a very grumpy looking donkey with a wig, "See!"

"He doesn't looks very happy" you said, and as if on cue the donkey's face split into a wide smile as another donkey went to dance with him.

"Looks like Rainbow was right" Fluttershy said, barely audible over the music that had just started.

"Great, loud music, my favourite" you grumbled as you saw Pinkie hopping back over.

"Having fun yet?!" she yelled over the music. You didn't answer, nor did you need to when she saw your face, which was showing no form of happiness, even in the smallest amount.

"Oh, lighten up!" Pinkie said, punching you in the side, eliciting a blood curdling scream from you.

"THAT WAS MY WING!" you screamed as you hit the floor. The music instantly stopped, the DJ staring at you, along with every other pony, in horror.

"Oh, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean-" Pinkie started, before you got to your feet. You darted out of the bakery, leaving everypony there in a weird confusion. Everypony's attention quickly turned to Pinkie Pie, who's hair had gone flat, and had lost most of her color.

"He didn't like my party..." she muttered as she slowly walked towards the back of the bakery.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You were running through town, eager to get as far away from it as possible. Sadly on your way you didn't notice the Apple family walking towards the party, running late due to farm work. You ended up colliding with the younger sister, accidentally sending her flying into a nearby stall.

"GET BACK HERE!" you heard Big Mac yell, eager to get revenge on you for hurting his sister, but you kept running. Eventually your adrenaline ran out, and you collapsed to the ground in a heap, skidding for at least five feet before you finally stopped. When you opened your eyes you saw the gigantic figure of Big Mac standing over you.

"Get up" he said sternly. When you didn't move he picked you up and set you on your hooves. Then proceeded to punch you so hard you went flying at least another five feet. This time you managed to land, his punch releasing the little bit of adrenaline you had left. You lunged forwards, managing to punch Big Mac back, nearly knocking him off his hooves.

"Why you little..." he growled as he took a step towards you, raising his hoof to deliver another blow.

"STOP!"

"Stay back Applejack!" you heard Big Mac shout as you got back to your feet, seeing Applejack with her sister on her back standing a few feet away.

"He's injured, you can't do this!" Applejack pleaded, knowing that you were in no shape to fight.

"I said stay out of this!" Big Mac yelled as his attention turned back to you, "This is between me and him"

"Bring it" you spit out with a chuckle, barely able to stand. Big Mac lunged forwards, but you used your lack of balance to your advantage and ducked, causing him to fall forward, smashing his face into a large tree. He quickly recovered, running towards you again, eager to grab hold of you. He got closer as your adrenaline finally ran out.

"Now you're gonna get it" he growled as he towered over you, knowing you weren't able to get away.

"STOP!" Applejack yelled as she ran in front of you as Big Mac began to throw his punch. Because he had put so much power into it he was unable to stop it from connecting with the side of her head, throwing her a good three or four yards. Seeing her go flying caused both you and Mac to stop hating each other long enough to figure out why she had got in the way.

"Why did you do that sis?!" Big Mac asked as Applejack got to her feet.

"Because, I. I..." Applejack said as she looked at you.

"You what?!" Big Mac ordered.

"I LOVE HIM!" she shouted, causing everypony to look at her in surprise.

"YOU WHAT?!" You and Big Mac shouted at the same time.

"I love him, okay! He's the only pony that's every wanted to work our farm as much as him!" Applejack said as she walked to your side.

"Are you telling the truth?" you whispered to her as she stood next you.

"Yeah, I am" she whispered back.

"Well, I think I love you too" you whispered back, causing her to blush. The two of you turned to face Big Mac, who was barely containing his rage.

"How could you love him?! He's a Pegasus!" he hissed, his rage showing in his voice.

"Because he actually wants to work at our farm, and he's willing to do anything to do it!" Applejack said, taking a step towards her brother.

"But he's not even an Earth pony, he can't help us on the farm!" Big Mac shouted as he took another step forward, a crowd now gathering around them.

"I don't care, I know he will help as much as he can!" Applejack said, the crowd growing in size.

"Then you're no sister of mine!" Big Mac said raising a hoof towards her.

"You wouldn't dare!" Applejack said, now face to face with her brother.

"I do dare!" Big Mac growled as he brought his hoof down across his sister's face. The entire crowd gasped as Applejack's now unconscious body was sent flying by Big Mac.

"You're gonna pay for that!" Rainbow Dash yelled, popping out of the crowd, prepared to fight Big Mac.

"No, he's mine!" you shouted as you stood upright.

"You don't stand a chance against him!" Twilight shouted, knowing full well that Big Mac could kill you with one well aimed punch.

"I don't care!" you shouted back as Big Mac turned to face you.

"She's right you know" he said, obviously confident in his abilities.

"Hurt the pony I love?!" you said as your body started to glow, "I don't think so!". The glowing around your body suddenly increased, leaving everypony blind as you starting to fly upwards.

"Twilight! What's happening?!" Rainbow shouted, trying to look towards you.

"It's magic! He's using magic!" Twilight shouted as she tried to figure out what spell you were using, "He's healing himself!". At that everypony looked up as the light began to fade away. When they looked up they saw you levitating, the light receding back towards your body, when suddenly your wings shot out of the bandages, and you looked down at Big Mac.

"You're going to learn what real pain is!" you shouted as you dove towards Big Mac. As you flew towards him he readied himself for your assault, preparing to counter any attack you could throw at him. An air cone began to form around you as you closed in on him, but suddenly Big Mac took to the air, attempt to meet you half way.

"You're just an over sized fly!" he growled as he punch towards you, managing to send you of course. He managed to hit you hard enough that you were flying towards Sweet Apple Acres at an uncontrollable speed. The sudden shock to your body made the magic wear off, and your wings snapped to your body in pain as you crashed into the tree canopy. Before you passed out you hit a few branches, and managed to mutter one thing.

"Worst party ever. Of all time"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"He's waking up!"

"Quick call one of the nurses!"

You opened your eyes slowly when you heard a door open. When you looked up you saw Nurse Redheart rushing into the room. She quickly rushed to your bedside and began to check your vitals. While she did that you looked at the other side of the room, finding Applejack, Twilight, Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie standing quietly.

"What's up?" you asked sarcastically.

"We got some bad news for you" Nurse Redheart said as she finished checking your vitals. Her face looked grim.

"What is it?" you asked, somewhat afraid of what was coming next.

"You almost lost a wing and had to undergo massive surgery to repair your internal organs" Med said, now standing the doorway.

"Seriously?!" you asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, when we found you, you were sitting in the Apple family's farm, horribly mangled and bleeding out" Med said as he nodded to Nurse Redheart, who quickly left the room, "It's a wonder you survived"

"How bad was it?" you asked, noticing Applejack flinch as he said said you barely made it.

"Well, your spleen was ruptured, your torso was torn open, and your skull was fractured" Med said, while you noticed everypony flinch at every injury he listed.

"It's a good thing you were here then" you said, remember what he had told you about his medical skills.

"Yup, but I think we should leave you and Applejack alone for a bit" Med said, shooting a glance at the other ponies in the room. They all complied and followed him out of the room, leaving you and Applejack alone. The two of you sat there quietly for a few minutes before you spoke up.

"So..." you mumbled, "Do you really love me?"

"Uh, yeah..." Applejack responded quietly while blushing, "Do you feel the same?"

"I think so" you said, noticing her flinch at your answer you added, "But I'm almost 100% positive that given time, I will"

"Oh, okay..." Applejack said, obviously displeased with your answer.

"Don't worry I'll work on it, I promise" you said as you sat up. Applejack looked up when she heard you move and slowly made her way towards you.

"Sorry about my brother" she said as she hugged you, "He only meant well"

"I know, and it's fine, I'm sure we'll get over it eventually" you said as you rubbed her back.

"Thanks" she said as she looked up towards your face. Taking the opportunity in front of you, you leaned your head forward and planted a soft kiss on her lips. She leaned back and looked at you blushing, before she moved forward for another. The two of you kissed again, for longer this time, and when it finally broke there was a chorus of Daw's from the doorway.

"I thought you were giving us privacy?" you asked, looking up at them.

"We were, but we just couldn't resist seeing the two of you reveal your love for one another" Med said, laughing as he finished.

"Can you leave now?" you asked, "I think we need a bit more privacy"

"Ah, I see" Med said, catching on to what you were planning, "Come on girls, let's leave the two lovebirds alone". He quickly pushed the girls down the hall before leaning back in.

"Oh, and Applejack, he has a thing for nurses" Med said jokingly. You lifted a hoof up to him so you could tell him off, but he closed the door before you could do it properly.

"What did he mean by that?" Applejack asked.

"Nothing, don't worry about it" you said as you nuzzled her neck, "Now where were we..."

Chapter 6: Meeting the Family

Chapter 6: Meeting the Family

You were finally released from the hospital after a month of recovery from the accident, all while spending time with Applejack, your new marefriend, but that wasn't the most important thing about today. Today you were going to go meet the rest of the Apple family. As you made your way up the dirt trail towards the farm you heard somepony call you from inside the orchard.

"Hey, come here for a second!"

"Who is it?" you asked, not sure if you really wanted to listen to a mysterious voice from inside a bush. When there was no reply you moved towards the bush and leaned over to try and see who was calling to you. Just as you were going to turn around and continue walking you were pulled into the bush, a hoof across your mouth so you couldn't scream.

"Thanks for actually looking in the bush" somepony said in a gruff voice.

"Who are you?!" you asked while trying to escape.

"It's me, Big Mac" he said, turning a flashlight on to show himself.

"Big Mac!" you shouted as you tried to run away, only to be stopped by one of his gigantic hoofs, "What are you gonna do to me?"

"Nothin'," Big Mac said as he let you go, "I just wanted to apologize for the way I acted"

"Really?" you asked, not believing him.

"Eeyup" Big Mac said as he walked out of the bush, "I was extremely stressed out at the time, and then with you accidentally pushing my sis and then punching me back, I just sort of lost it"

"What got you so stressed that you would hit your own sister?" you asked, barely believing his story.

"Well, we are understaffed at the farm, which means I have to do a lot of work, and on that day I learned that an entire field of trees had died due to worms eating the roots" Big Mac said, kicking a nearby tree, leaving a hoof sized hoof in it.

"Oh, damn..." you said as you looked around, noticing now that every tree was dead, "What's this going to do to the farm?"

"Well, if we're lucky it'll only cost us a tiny bit to replace them," Big Mac said, lowering his head, "but if we're unlucky we could lose the farm"

"Seriously?!" you shouted, finding it hard to believe they could lose their farm so easily.

"Eeyup. Unless we make at least a thousand bits more than projected this season we won't have enough to support the farm" Big Mac said as he looked at a decaying apple on the ground, "This orchard usually covers that thousand bits"

"Wow..." you mumbled as you though over the chances of them successfully making the extra thousand bits. The chances were slim, but it could be possible if they could create some kind of product that everypony would want. You idly followed Big Mac as he led the way towards the farm house. When you got out of the dead orchard you looked up to see Applejack standing at the entrance to Sweet Apple Acres, looking depressed.

"Hey Applejack" you said as you walked up behind her causing her to jump.

"What are you doing behind me?" Applejack asked, noticing Big Mac standing where you had come from, "Did you two talk?"

"Yeah" you said as you wrapped a foreleg around her neck, "I think we've reached an understanding"

"Well, that's good" Applejack said as she started to walk towards the house, "Now, it's time for you to meet the family". She lead you towards the house as an older light green mare came outside slowly. As you and Applejack neared the house the older mare spoke up.

"You must be Applejack's coltfriend!" the older mare said, making her way towards you slowly, "I'm Granny Smith"

"Nice to meet you Granny Smith" you said as you shook her hoof, "I'm Choco"

"Well, no use standin' outside, come on in" Granny Smith said as she walked back inside the house. Knowing it was rude to stay outside when invited in you went inside, only to find three young fillies sitting at their table. When you got inside their heads snapped up and they rushed over to you.

"Is it really you?" the little orange Pegasus asked, followed by nods from the other two fillies.

"I would assume I'm me" you said sarcastically.

"Yeah, it's him, I remember him from when he pushed me!" the yellow Earth pony said to her friends.

"That means you're Applebloom right?" you said, remembering what Applejack had told you about her family, "Sorry about that"

"It's fine, I'm a big pony, I can take it" Applebloom said as she pushed out her chest. Her friends laughed as you walked away to sit down on the couch next to Applejack. When you sat down Applejack leaned moved up next to you, and then Big Mac came inside, a bucket of apples on his back.

"I got the apples for the pie Granny" Big Mac said as he took the apples into the kitchen.

"Thank you Macintosh" Granny stood up and started walking towards the kitchen, "Care to help Applejack?"

"Of course Granny" Applejack said as she got up, stopping to give you a quick kiss, "I'll be back in a bit". You nodded in response as she ran towards the kitchen, leaving you alone in the living room. After a few minutes you got an odd feeling of being watched, so you turned around to see the three fillies staring at you from the stairs.

"Can I help you with something?" you asked, staring straight at them.

"Well, uh..." Applebloom stuttered, not sure what to say to you.

"We were wondering if you could help us" the orange filly asked.

"Help with what?" you asked in return.

"With getting our cutie marks" the white Unicorn said, causing you to now notice that none of them had their cutie marks yet.

"I don't see why not" you said as you got off the couch, walking towards the front door, "But maybe we should do it outside". As you opened the door you heard the fillies run past you and out into the yard, eager to have you help them find their special talent.

"So, what are you three good at?" you asked, hoping to find a starting point.

"Uh, nothin' really" Applebloom said, kicking the ground slowly.

"Well, I can ride scooters really well" the orange Pegasus said.

"I can sing fairly well" the White unicorn said.

"Okay, then what do you like to do?" you asked, hoping to get more information out of them.

"I like working on the farm with my brother and sister" Applebloom said.

"I like riding my scooter really fast" the Pegasus said.

"I like helping my sister make dresses" the Unicorn said.

"Oh, well..." you said as you started to think. Applebloom with probably have something farm related, as it has been with the rest of the family, and it seems like the Pegasus likes her scooter a lot..., then you thought about the Unicorn's talent and likes, She says she can sing, but she likes to make dresses....

"Uh, mister?" Applebloom asked, noticing that you had started to zone out.

"Oh, sorry, I was just thinking about what we could start with" you said, smiling sheepishly.

"Well, uh, we just thought we should introduce ourselves" Applebloom said, nodding to her friends.

"I'm Scootaloo!" the Pegasus said.

"And I'm Sweetie Belle!" the Unicorn said.

"And we're..." Applebloom said, the three of them pulling their heads back.

"THE CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS!" the three of them yelled at once, nearly knocking you back onto your ass.

"Well Cutie Mark Crusaders, why don't yall come inside for lunch?" Applejack said while standing on the porch.

"Yay! Cutie Mark Crusader Food Testers!" the three yelled as they ran up the the house. You quickly followed suite, your stomach growling at the mention of food. When you got to the porch Applejack kissed you on the cheek.

"Don't mind them, they just really want their cutie marks" she whispered before she went back inside. I can understand that, you thought as you followed her inside, eager to feast upon whatever sort of food they had prepared. Upon entering the house the smell of apple pie filled your nose and you were greeted by a table covered in all manner of food, from plain old sandwiches, to delicious apple tarts. You quickly sat down at the table, and after Granny Smith said grace everypony dug in, happily devouring ever bit of food that was on the table.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I think I ate too much..." you said as you rubbed your belly, which was now protruding from your body. You looked around the table to see that everypony else felt about the same as you, Big Mac being the only one that could move. He quickly got out of his chair and made his way to the door, until he was stopped by Granny Smith.

"Where are you going?" she asked as he grabbed an axe.

"I have to go cut down the dead trees Granny, you know that" he said as he walked out of the house, quietly closing the door behind him. As you sat there you noticed Applejack coming towards you.

"You should go help him" she said as she nuzzled your neck, "He'd really appreciate it"

"Okay, I'll go help him" you said as you struggled to get out of your chair due to your full stomach. After you got up you quickly ran outside, hoping to work off the huge lunch you just had by helping Big Mac, and hoping to patch over any issues he had with you. As you close to the dead orchard you could hear the chopping of the axe on trees coming from deep inside. Knowing that you would get lost if you used the ground you took to the sky, knowing that you would be able to see him better from up above. It didn't take long to find him among the dead trees, as his big red body stood out like a sore thumb.

"Need some help?" you asked as you landed next to him.

"Nope, I got it" he said through the axe, which he was holding in his mouth. Knowing that he was probably just going to say no if you asked again you moved over to the tree beside him and bucked it as hard as you could, uprooting it completely. He turned around when he heard the tree collapse, and dropped the axe when he saw you standing next to it.

"How did you do that?" he asked, not willing to believe a Pegasus would be strong enough to uproot an entire tree.

"I bucked it, really, really, hard, and it came out" you said, as if it was nothing, "You sure you don't want my help?"

"Well, if you can keep that up then sure" he said as he turned back to the tree he was working on. He attempted to buck it out of the ground like you had, but his strength caused him to buck a hole through the tree instead. You heard him mutter something under his breath, probably a swear, as you continued to buck up the other trees.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"That was hard work..." you spat out as you slowly walked back to the farm house as the sun set. You and Big Mac had spent all day in the orchad, clearing it all out in one day thanks to you being able to buck the trees out of the ground.

"Thanks for the help" Big Mac said as he put the axe on the porch and headed inside.

"No problem..." you said as you collapsed, your legs were tired beyond belief, it was a wonder you made it as close to the house as you did. A few minutes later you heard the door open again, but you were too tired to lift your head to see who it was.

"You okay?" Applejack asked as she got closer to you.

"Yeah, just really tired..." you said as you tried to get up, your legs not allowing it. You felt Applejack put her hooves on your shoulders and pull you up, draping one of your forelegs across her back so she could carry you inside.

"Oh dear, he looks mighty tired" Granny said as Applejack carried you through the living room, stopping knitting so she could say something.

"He helped me clear out the entire dead orchard in one day, if he wasn't tired I'd think he was a robot" Big Mac said, laughing at his own joke.

"Well, he's welcome to stay here for the night, as long as nothing happens upstairs" Granny said as Applejack slowly brought you up the stairs.

"Granny! You know I'm not like that!" Applejack said back, knowing what Granny Smith was really saying. Granny didn't reply, instead she just laughed as she went back to knitting something. Applejack managed to get you upstairs, and opened a door to one of the rooms. She quickly tossed you on the bed and then climbed in next to you.

"Shouldn't I be in the guest room?" you asked, knowing that this was most likely Applejack's room.

"I think you're fine right here" she said as she hugged you, nuzzling her head into the space between your wings.

"Well, okay then" you said as you drifted off to sleep, happy that you were spending the night with your marefriend hugging you.

Chapter 7: Cutie Mark Crusader Buzz Killers!

Chapter 7: Cutie Mark Crusader Buzz Killers!

It was early morning when you felt Applejack get out of bed. You lazily threw a leg over her, trying to get her to stay in bed but she was already too far away. Knowing that soon enough you would be forced to get up you climbed out of bed and made your way downstairs.

"Have a good sleep dear?" you heard Granny Smith ask as you groggily made your way towards the kitchen. You mumbled in response, still half asleep, as you opened the fridge to find nothing but apples. I should have guessed as much, you thought as you shut the fridge. Knowing that the only thing you were bound to find was going to be apple related to decided to head into town for breakfast. As you made your way out of the door you were stopped by Applejack.

"Where ya goin'?" she asked, putting her hat on.

"I was going to go into town for breakfast" you said as you turned to face her, "If that's all right with you?"

"Of course, but can you take Applebloom to school for me?" she asked, moving out of the way to show her sister standing behind her.

"Sure, I have time before the stores open anyways" you said, nodding to Applebloom so she would follow you. She quickly ran up to your side, and for the entire way down from the farm house to the edge of town she was quiet.

"So, are you and my sister, you know, serious?" Applebloom asked, breaking the silence.

"I would like to assume so, why?" you asked, knowing that she might have another definition of serious.

"Well, I know you guys kiss and all, but do you guys, uh, you know..." Applebloom asked, kicking the dirt around a bit.

"What do you-" you said just before it hit you, "Oh! Uh, why are you asking that?"

"Well, I heard from Rarity that when a stallion and a mare really love each other, they, uh..." Applebloom said, her face turning almost as red as her hair.

"Now listen here Applebloom," you said as you turned to face her, "When a stallion and a mare truly love each other, that isn't necessary. If that is needed in a relationship then it isn't true love"

"Oh..." Applebloom said as she thought about what you said, "But you didn't answer my question"

"It's none of your business what me and your sister do at night" you said, starting to walk again, hoping that the awkward conversation would end. Thankfully it did as Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle came running up to you and Applebloom as the two of you entered town. Without saying goodbye Applebloom ran off with them towards the school house, which you could see just down the road. Knowing your job was complete you made your way towards the center of town.

"Hey Choco!" Med yelled, seeing you from his front door.

"You already got a house?!" you yelled back, seeing his two story house behind him.

"Yeah, being a doctor pays really well in this town" Med said as he stopped in front of you, "What are you doing in town?"

"I came to get a bite to eat, wanna join me?" you asked, knowing he was probably busy.

"Sure!" Med said instantly. The two of you started to walk towards one of the restaurants in town, talking about small thing like jobs, favourite food, today's schedule, and what you were going to order. When the two of you sat down a rather fancy looking waiter came over and took your orders. You got a simple daisy sandwich, while Med got a rather expensive salad that you couldn't pronounce.

"So, what's going on between you and AJ now that you're out at the farm?" Med asked as his salad arrived.

"Well, I think me and Big Mac are on good terms now, but her sister is a bit weird" you said honestly, thinking about the conversation you and Applebloom had.

"Why?" Med asked, a smile creeping across his face as his took a gigantic mouthful of salad. You proceeded to tell him about Applebloom's question, and then told him about her little group of friends.

"They seem to think that if they do as many things as possible that they'll get their cutie marks sooner" you said, finishing off your sandwich.

"Really?" Med downed a glass of orange juice to wash down his salad, "I remember when I was their age"

"Yeah, but I remember getting mine by accident" you said, thinking back to the incident.

"Isn't that how they show up anyways?" Med said, pointing out the obvious.

"Yeah, but mine was really out of the blue, I didn't notice it for a week" you said, remembering what had happened when somepony pointed it out to you.

"What happened then?" Med asked, now intrigued as to how you got your cutie mark.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was an early morning when your family was going to go on vacation. You had been waiting for this day for almost a month now, and you could hardly believe it was finally here. Today you and your family were going to go to Canterlot to see if your oldest sister would be accepted into the school of magic. People would always make a remark that somepony in your family was adopted because of differences between you and your sisters. Your oldest sister was a Unicorn, somewhat short and chubby, but was extremely smart and could perform magic easily. Your other sister was an Earth pony, about average size, but was extremely beautiful and hard working, and then there was you. You being the Pegasus child, and looking extremely like your father, who was an Earth pony, made everyone confused. Compared to the other Pegasi you were always bigger and a fair bit smarter, and learned how to fly earlier than all of them.

Knowing that your whole family would be going to Canterlot was a dream come true. You had always heard stories from your mother, who was a Pegasus, that Canterlot had schools for all ponies, and the smartest Pegasi could attend the flight school there. You were planning to find one of the teachers and show off for them while you were there, hopefully being accepted into their school.

"Are you coming?!" your sister yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

"Just a second!" you yelled back, grabbing your hat from the back of your chair. Running downstairs you nearly toppled your sister, and within moments you were outside.

"How are we getting to Canterlot without a carriage?" you asked, noticing a lack of any means of transportation.

"Your sister's got that covered" your mom said as your sister's horn started to glow, and suddenly the world went black. It felt as if you were flying through a cloud, and suddenly you saw colour pop back in, just as you hit the ground along with the rest of your family.

"Ow..." you said as you rubbed your head, "I think you were tiny bit off sis"

"I know, sorry, I forgot to account for altitude differences between our house and here"

"Whatever, I'm going to get a snack or something" you said as you wandered off, looking for some sort of store that would sell candy. As you looked around you say one of the Wonderbolts wandering idly through the streets, and knowing that a Wonderbolt's recommendation would guarantee you a place in the flight school you rushed over.

"Are you Soarin?" you asked, recognizing his dark blue mane and light blue coat. He turned around, surprised to see anypony recognized him without his flight suit on.

"Hey kid, how did you know it was me?" he asked as he turned around, his green eyes confirming his identity for you.

"I saw you on the poster as the newest Wonderbolt!" you said, thinking back to the poster you had on your wall. Soarin was the newest Wonderbolt, coming almost months after Spitfire was accepted into the team.

"Wow, thanks kid, I didn't think anypony would know who I am" Soarin said, rubbing your mane, "So what brings you here?"

"My sister's trying out for the school of magic, and my whole family came along to support her" you said, now realizing you had left before finding out where you would be staying.

"Well, I'm sure she'll make it in" Soarin said, now noticing how big you were, "How old are you, if you don't mind me asking?"

"I'm twelve, only six years younger than you" you said, as if it was nothing.

"Wow, for you too be so big, and that wing span..." Soarin mumbled as he rubbed his chin, "Want to come get a bite to eat with me?"

"Of course I do!" you said, happy that a Wonderbolt wanted to eat with you. You happily followed him, barely able to contain your excitement. As he slowed down you saw a gigantic bakery, topped with a roof that looked like a cupcake, just ahead of you, and standing out front was...

...the rest of the Wonderbolts!

"Hey Soarin, you changing careers to kidnapping now or what?" the Spitfire joked, noticing you beside him. Soarin laughed back and walked over, and when he got over he waved to you. I'm eating with the Wonderbolts?! you thought as you trotted over, Best. Day. Ever!.

"So kid, what made Soarin bring you with him?" Spitfire asked, confused as to why Soarin would bring you with him to their meet up.

"Well, uh..." you mumbled, not sure how to talk to her, seeing as she is a beautiful mare, and a Wonderbolt.

"He's with me because he's only twelve, and look how big he is!" Soarin said, waiving a hoof at you, causing the rest of the team to look over. When they saw you they all rushed over, eager to figure out if Soarin was telling the truth. You quickly lowered your head, somewhat worried that they would start poking and prodding at you.

"He's telling the truth, he doesn't even have his cutie mark yet!" one of the Wonderbolts yelled out from behind you.

"Wow,  and he's already so big!" another Wonderbolt said as she examined your wings. After a few more comments from the team about your size they calmed down, leaving you to talk to Soarin and Spitfire alone. The two of them talked about new routines and tricks that they wanted to try, and you sat there and listened, happier than you had even been before. When your stomach growled Soarin laughed and called over a waiter, who had a tray of what looked like chocolate covered apples.

"We'll have three please" Soarin asked, pulling out ten bits to pay for them. After getting the apples the rest of the team asked for some too, but the waiter tripped on your hat, which had fallen off when the Wonderbolts were examining you and the apples went flying over the edge of Canterlot. Without thinking you shot out of your chair and flew towards the apples as they fell, grabbing the tray, and then expertly catching each of the apples on it.

When you came back up you heard cheering coming from the Wonderbolts and the waiter, who was grateful that his food hadn't been destroyed. As a reward he gave you one free along with one of his specialty cupcakes. As you sat back down you heard Soarin whisper something to the captain, and a moment later he tapped you on the shoulder.

"Hey kid, this is for you" Soarin said, handing you an invitation to the Canterlot flight school.

"Really?!" you asked in surprise, finding it hard to believe that they would give you something like that for catching some treats.

"You flew really well there kid, and with training you could become one of us" Spitfire said, patting you on the back.

"Wow..." you said as you stared at your invitation, eager to find your parents and tell them the good news. Luckily you didn't have to wait as your mother came flying towards you, and landed, nearly causing you to lose your grip on the invitation.

"What are you doing here?!" your mother asked, her worried state mirrored in her voice.

"Mom, look!" you said, throwing the invitation in front of her. When she read it she picked you up in a huge hug, and promptly thanked the Wonderbolts. After she had thanked every member of the team she took you to the hotel, and the rest of the time spent in Canterlot was amazing. Your sister was accepted, and you were being set up at the flight school dorms. It wasn't until your other sister was helping you get settled in that you finally noticed you had your cutie mark. It was a chocolate covered apple with wings.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"That is one hell of a story!" Med said as you finished, having spent almost the entire morning telling him about it.

"Yeah, it was awesome" you said, still thinking about how it all happened.

"So then, why don't you want to be a Pegasus anymore?" Med asked, noticing a big difference between the current you, and the twelve year old you.

"I don't want to talk about it..." you said, your mood quickly changing from happy to depressed.

"Okay..." Med said slowly, realizing that it was a touchy subject, "Well, how about we head to the new bar that opened up in town, I have the day off, and I'm guessing you do too"

"I don't work at the farm yet, so I guess I can get a drink with you" you said as you paid for your meal.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"...and when Redheart came to me, it was still dripping out!" Med yelled out, almost completely wasted.

"Wow..." you said quietly, still only having a light buzz even after ten shots of hard cider. You looked at the time and turned to the waiter, tapping on the bar and pointing to his hard liquor. Right now, you wanted to get drunk, because ever since Med brought up why you don't want to be a Pegasus anymore your mood has gotten worse, and has continued to do so as time went on. The bartender came back with a shot glass of his finest hard liquor, and you downed it, finally getting a true buzz when something knocked on the door.

"We're open!" the bartender yelled as he cleaned Med's shot glass, seeing as he had finally passed out.

"Um, Choco, are you in there?" you head Applebloom say from the other side of the door.

"Yes I am, why?" you asked back, wondering how they found you.

"You said you would help us get our cutie marks!" Scootaloo said, opening the door, only to have it shut on her as the bartender used his magic to keep her out.

"Either get them to leave, or leave with them" he said, still holding the door closed with his magic. You got up, after saying that Med was paying for you, and walked over to the door. When he released his hold the door slammed open and the three crusaders tumbled inside in a heap.

"Come on, let's get going" you said, eager to get this over with so you didn't have to think about cutie marks anymore.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Is it even physically possible to be bad at running?" you asked, seeing as the three of them had all crashed into one another when they attempted to try for a running cutie mark. The three of them moaned as they got up.

"I think we're done for today, anymore and you guys are going to get hurt" you said, thinking about today's activities. They tried to fly kites, buck apples, and every kind of running event you could think of. The three of them nodded to each other and started to walk home, with you following Applebloom. When you and Applebloom got to the house you were pulled aside by Applejack.

"How did it go?" she asked, seeing that her sister was still without her cutie mark.

"They weren't able to do anything, but they did do one thing right" you said in a depressing tone.

"What would that be?" she asked, wondering what they did.

"They really can kill a buzz" you said as you turned around, noticing Big Mac hauling around a cart filled with apples.

"What do you mean?" Applejack asked, pulling your attention back to her.

"I went drinking with Med, and then they showed up after I got a buzz, and within minutes of helping them, it was gone" you said while waving a hoof in the air.

"Why were you drinking during the day?" Applejack asked, eyeing you suspiciously.

"I was depressed because of something that was brought up when me and Med talked" you said, turning around, not wanting to discuss it with her just yet. She obviously understood that you didn't want to talk about it, and for the rest of the night she left you alone. After dinner you headed upstairs to the guest bedroom and climbed into the bed that was there. After around an hour of trying to get to sleep you heard somepony open the door.

"You in here?" Applejack asked, unable to see due to the darkness of the room. You didn't answer, but instead turned over, hoping she wouldn't see your face, but she was able to hear you move in the bed. She slowly made her way over to you, thinking you were sleeping and climbed in, placing her head between your wings just like she had the night before, and she started to shake. After a while you realized she was crying, not because she was sad, but because she was worried about you.

You waited for the shaking to stop before you turned around to face her, you noticed that she had instead just flipped over, not wanting to cover your back in her tears, so you wrapped your legs around her and put your head above hers. She was still shaking when you wrapped around her, but she quickly stopped, and moved herself into a more comfortable position.  Just before you went to sleep you heard her say something.

"I love you..."

Chapter 8: The Accident

Chapter 8: The Accident

The next morning you woke up before Applejack, most likely because the guest from was west facing, so the sun wouldn't wake her, and she had essentially cried herself to sleep. Knowing that her getting her rest was important you attempted to sneak out of bed, only to find out that she had latched onto one of your legs, and she wasn't letting go. You struggled to try and get free without waking her, but you attempts failed as she woke up due to the shaking motion.

"Good mornin'" she said as she sat up, rubbing her eyes, "You sleep well?"

"Did you?" you asked, knowing that she would probably say no.

"Not really, I had a bad dream last night..." Applejack said as she slowly got out of bed, avoiding eye contact with you.

"What was it?" you asked, afraid that she wouldn't talk to you for the whole day.

"It's nothin', don't worry about it" she said as she grabbed her hat off a chair that was in the room. You guessed that if she left she wouldn't bring it up again, so you shot off the bed and blocked the door. She shot you a look and tried to push you out of the way, but even with her Earth pony strength, you were unmovable.

"Tell me what the dream was about" you said sternly, lowering yourself down to her level, "I just want to make sure you're okay"

"Fine, I'll tell ya!" Applejack said, irritated at your persistence. She walked back over the the bed and sat down, patting the spot next to her as a way of telling you to sit as well.

"So what happened?" you asked as you sat down, wrapping a wing around her, hoping that it would help to comfort her.

"Last night, I had a really bad dream" Applejack said, clearing her throat before she continued, "In it you went the hospital to get your wings cut off, think that by doing so, I would love you more, but..."

"But what?" you asked softly, seeing tears starting to well up in her eyes.

"The surgery went wrong, and you went into a coma, but because of the costs we had to pull you off life support, and you..." Applejack said, as she barely managed to hold back her tears, "you died". Now tears flowed freely from her face as she broke down. She clung to you as if you were going to disappear if she didn't, and you slowly rubbed her back with you hoof, and nuzzling her head, in an attempt to calm her down.

"It's okay Applejack, I'd never do something as stupid as that" you said when she finally started to calm down, "I may not like that I'm a Pegasus, but I wouldn't cut off my wings"

"You wouldn't?" Applejack asked, tears still falling from her face.

"Of course I wouldn't" you replied, giving her a light kiss, "If I was going to do that, I would have done it a long time ago". Applejack didn't respond, but instead looked at you with questioning eyes, wondering what part of your past would make you want to cut off your wings. Knowing that she would need to know your cutie mark story for it to make any sense, you quickly repeated everything you had said to Med the day before, down the the very last detail.

"What changed?" Applejack asked as you finished your story, "What made you change from loving to fly, to hating it?"

"Well, it happened about a year after I started at the flight school..."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was a morning like any other. Your alarm would go off, you would have a shower, get dressed, and fly off towards you first class. It had only been two weeks since your one year anniversary at the Canterlot flight school, but it felt as though you had been there all your life. Everypony knew you, and you knew everypony. At the time you were the best flier in the school, and had been hand picked by Spitfire and Soarin to join their elite class, where they would teach prospective Wonderbolts the tools of the trade. Today was group flying, mixed together with using a smoke trail.

Knowing that elite classes started on time every time you quickly flew towards the edge of Canterlot, towards the clouds that they had set up for the elites to practice on. As you got closer you saw a few of your friends pull up beside you. Big Shot and Small Fry. Two of your best friends in the entire school, ironically one being the biggest stallion in school, and the other being the smallest. When they pulled up beside you the three of you did quickly sped up, racing one another to the cloud where Soarin waited.

"Nice of you three to show up early" Soarin said, not being sarcastic as the other students had yet to show up. You and your friends decided to goof off before class started and begun to play tag, using your smoke trails to make the game harder. To the three of you, it was the best game ever, to Soain and Spitfire, who had just shown up herself, it was practice for today's lesson. When the other three students in the elite class arrived you all landed in unison, side by side, and got ready to learn.

"Today we will be practicing group flying and smoke trails" Soarin said, his voice becoming slightly louder and more authoritative.

"Knowing how to do this is a key part of being a Wonderbolt" Spitfire said as she and Soarin took the the skies, "If you can't do this, then you can't become a Wonderbolt!". When she finished her sentence her and Soarin shot of towards the sky, spiraling around each other while using their smoke trails, and at the highest point they split apart, circling the smoke tower they had just created until they landed back on the cloud.

"First up with be Hot Shot's group" Spitfire said, pointing at the dark red Pegasus that stood in the other group of three. Him and his friends, Fireball and Crisper, were the fire trio. Each of them were a picture of red and orange, and were nearly inseparable. When they flew together they looked like a meteor as it crashes through the atmosphere. Of course that made them Spitfire's favourite team, and that left Soarin as your unofficial team captain.

The trio took off from the cloud, each flying apart to create a triangular shape, and all at once they flew towards one point. When they met up Fireball and Crisper spiraled around Hot Shot, and when they broke about he shot out, visually creating what looked like a volcano in the sky. It was the most amazing thing you had even seen, but he was your competition, you had to beat him, or you could lose your chance to be a Wonderbolt. Knowing that your group would have to do something better if you wanted to pass, you quickly turned around and began to discuss what sort of trick you would do.

"So what's the plan?" Big Shot asked as the three of you got into a huddle.

"We could do something similar to what they did" Small Fry suggested, not one for planning.

"No" you said, knowing that wouldn't work as well as when they did it, "What if we tried to spiral together, and touch hoofs, like the firework trick the Wonderbolts do"

"Are you sure we can do it?" Small Fry asked, worried that due to the odd sizing off the group something could go wrong.

"We can do it, we've practiced it a few times without trouble, and if anything goes wrong they should be able to catch us" you said, trusting that it would work, and if it didn't, you trusted that your instructor would be able to help. The three of you high hoofed and took to your starting positions. On Soarin's count the three of you would shoot towards a single spot, tap hoofs, and fly away, going back to your starting positions. You looked over to Soarin and saw him nodding his head.

The three of you shot up, flying as fast as possible, your smoke trails working seamlessly. As you neared the connection point you saw an air cone building around you and your friends. Just before the neared the point you stopped, allowing enough time for the three of you to touch hooves, but after a few seconds you felt nothing. You looked around and saw your friends plummeting towards the ground. You tried to fly after them, but it was too late. Not even Soarin or Spitfire could have done anything, and the two of them crashed to the ground, horribly mangling their bodies.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When you finished the story Applejack had her mouth covered with her hooves, horrified that you had to experience such a thing at a young age. It took her a few moments before she could talk again.

"Did they die?" she asked, thinking of what would have happened, and nearly throwing up at the thought.

"No, but they could never fly again" you said, thinking about what happened to your friends after the accident, "Big Shot lost one of his wings because of the way he landed, and now he does building planning for Canterlot. Small Fry now works as part of the management for the Wonderbolts, having only broken his wings, but the recovery time made him lose his speed"

"So, they're okay?" Applejack asked.

"Yeah, we used to keep in touch, but after I left Canterlot we lost touch, and I haven't heard from them since" you said, thinking about the last time you had talked to either of them. They were still in the hospital when you left the flight school, much to their despair. They had tried to talk you into staying, but you didn't listen, and you left, heading home to live out your life as a simple pony.

"So, what happened?" Applejack asked, noticing your far off gaze.

"When I stopped by air cone inverted, and due to my wing size and body shape my air wave was stronger than them, and it caused them to shoot them away from me, and towards the ground..." you said, thinking about what the official report said.

"Did you stop flying because you blamed yourself?" Applejack asked, lightly rubbing between your wings.

"In a way" you said, flexing your wings, "I blamed myself, no matter how many ponies said it was a freak accident. It was then when I wanted to live my life like an Earth pony"

"But why?" Applejack asked as you brought your wing across her back.

"Because, if I was an Earth pony I wouldn't have to fly fast to get anything done, and I wouldn't have to worry about hurting anypony else" you said as you laid back on the bed.

"Oh..." Applejack said as she laid back with you, only to be interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Hey Choco, there's-" Applebloom said as she opened the door, looking inside, "Am I interrupting something?"

"No, no, it's fine, what is it?" Applejack asked for you, getting to her feet so Applebloom would leave.

"There's a Pegasus at the door, he says he wants to talk to Choco about something" Applebloom said as she turned around, making her way down the stairs. You quickly followed suit, Applejack making her way to the bathroom to wash her face, which was still wet from her crying a while ago. As you got the stairs you froze, seeing the Pegasus that Applebloom had mention sitting on the couch.

"Soarin..." you said quietly, attempting to sneak back up the stairs.

"Long time no see Choco" Soarin said, obviously knowing you were there, "What's new?"

"Why are you here?" you asked threateningly, not wanting him to intrude in the happy life you were leading now.

"I wanted to talk to you about something big, something you turned away from many years ago" Soarin said as he got to his hooves, pulling a letter out from inside his saddlebags. He handed in to you, not telling you what it is, and he made his way back to the couch, enjoying a cup of coffee that Granny Smith had made for him. You quickly flipped the letter over, only to see a Wonderbolts insignia on it. Despite you already knowing what was inside you opened it, a slight hope that your guess was wrong. Sadly you weren't that lucky, as inside was an invitation to the Wonderbolts tryouts in two weeks. You quickly threw the letter to the ground and made your way back to the guest bedroom.

"You always were a fast reader" Soarin said, in the doorway as you opened the window.

"Stay away from me you bastard!" you shouted as you jumped out of the window, flying faster than you had in years just so you could get away from him. Why did he have to show up now of all times?!, you shouted inside your head as you looked for a place to hide, How in Celestia's name did he find me?!. After a few minutes of looking you noticed a clearing in the apple orchard to the east of the house, and you quickly landed, hoping that you would not be disturbed if you hid among the trees.

Chapter 9: Hiding Among Apples

Chapter 9: Hiding Among Apples

You quickly found a spot in the shade to hide in, hoping that it would make the day ahead of you more comfortable. After a while you checked to make sure they weren't any search parties out looking for you, knowing that if any came over the clearing they would be able to see you. Just as you got to the edge of the clearing you saw a Pegasus' shadow pass by, causing you to jump back into the shadows, praying to Celestia that they didn't see you. As you made your way back to where you were sitting before you head somepony walking through the orchard.

"Do you think he's still in here?" somepony asked, it was a voice you hadn't heard before.

"He wouldn't go that far from the house" you heard Big Mac say from another part of the orchard. Knowing that they were close you jumped into the tree, once again praying to Celestia that they didn't see you. After a few minutes you heard somepony walking underneath you, and out of curiosity you poked your head out slightly. Standing there was a light brown Earth pony with a spiked brown mane, an hourglass for a cutie mark. Luckily his back was turned to you, so there was no way he would have seen you, or so you thought.

"Hey Mac, I heard something moving in this tree!" the pony yelled from right below where you were hiding. You heard Big Mac's hoof beats as he ran over, and you knew that if you didn't move, he was going to find you. Looking around inside the tree you found an adjacent branch and hoped onto it, and continued to look for a way onto another tree when you heard Big Mac talking to the pony.

"It was probably just a bird Hooves" Big Mac said, starting to walk away.

"Does a bird leave behind chocolate coloured feathers?" the pony, who you guessed was named Hooves, said. Thankfully you found a way into another tree, taking a second to look outside, only to see Hooves holding one of your feathers in his mouth. You quickly looked at your wings and noticed that one of your smaller feathers had fallen out. Great, now they know I'm here!, you shouted inside your head as you started to look for a way to get to another tree. While you looked you heard Big Mac buck the tree you were in just a moment before, knowing that with his strength you would have fallen out, and they would have found you.

Hearing Big Mac walk underneath the tree you were currently in caused you to start looking frantically for a way to the next tree. Then it hit you. I can fly, why am I trying to sneak along the branches?! you thought as you took flight, hoping that it wouldn't let them in on your location. Thankfully it would seem as though they didn't see the leaves rustle, or they just thought it was the wind, so you decided it was safe to make your way through the trees this way.

"Big Mac, I think he's hiding in the leaves" Hooves said, point right where you were currently flying. Shit! Why did it take him this long to figure that out?! you shouted in your head, preparing to fly through the apple trees until you had lost them.

"Hurry, if we're not quick he'll get away!" Big Mac said, getting ready to run if you started to move.

"What's stopping him from rising above the trees?" Hooves asked, just as you though it. Wow, that was weird, you thought, noting that he was right, so you poked your head above the top of the trees, Holy Luna!

"Soarin sent out a the weather team to scan for him just in case he did, so we don't have to worry" Big Mac said, obviously telling the truth, as you could count numerous Peagsi flying above the orchard. This is bad, very bad, you thought as you looked for an easy way through the trees. You prayed that you were going to right way as you took off, flying through the trees, dodging branches mere seconds before you would have collided with them. The sound of hoof beats was far behind when you finally ran out of luck, colliding with a rather large apple that was hanging in the upper branch of a tree.

"Ow, my head..." you mumbled as you rubbed your head in pain, still flying through the trees. You stopped for a moment to see if you were still being followed, and when nothing could be heard but the wind blowing through the trees you decided to land.

"Fancy runnin' into you here"

You quickly turned around, only to find Applejack laying against a nearby tree with a stalk of grain in her mouth. Knowing it was pointless to try and run you walked over and sat next to her, mentally preparing yourself for whatever she could throw at you.

"Why'd you run?" Applejack asked, leaning against you.

"Because, they wanted me to join the Wonderbolts, and you know why I wouldn't want that" you said, nuzzling the top of her head.

"But time has passed, and your friends seem to have gotten over it, so why can't you?" she asked, nuzzling you back.

"They can't be Wonderbolts anymore because of me, so why should I get to be one?" you said, your voice starting to fill with anger. She knows what happened, and she still wants you to join the Wonderbolts?! How could she, she knows how hard it was for you to tell her about it!

"You want to know why they showed up?" she asked, sitting up.

"Yes, I actually would like to know why they had to show up now of all times" you replied curtly.

"Because, your friend, Small Fry, told them too" Applejack said, looking you straight in the eye. You were shocked. Yes, Small Fry wasn't that badly injured, but why would he want you to join the Wonderbolts, it was his dream, and the best he got after the accident was a management position in the organization! Why would he want to watch you live his dream for him, when it was your fault he couldn't?!

"Sugar, I think he wants you to do it for yourself" Applejack said, noticing your troubled look.

"But why..." you said quietly, still not able to get over the fact that it was on your friends behalf that the Wonderbolts had come to you.

"Because they don't want to see you waste your life away, knowing that you could have been so much more" Applejack said, her hooves on your shoulders, "They want to see you be happy!". You weren't able to respond, as the realization that your actions all those years ago weren't only stupid, but selfish, had caused you to break down.

"I thought that leaving would have been the only fair thing, but in the end, it only hurt them more..." you mumbled, thinking about how things would have been different had you stayed.

"It's okay sugar" Applejack said as she hugged you, "The past is the past, you can't change that, but you can change the future"

"Yeah you're right, but if I join them I won't be able to work on the farm" you said, remembering a schedule you had seen when you were still in flight school. A Wonderbolt was rarely allowed time at home, seeing as they had to go across Equestria to perform shows for everypony.

"Don't worry about us, we'll manage" Applejack said, nuzzling your neck lovingly.

"But what'll happen to us?" you asked, knowing the strain you being a Wonderbolt would put on your relationship.

"I'll wait for you, no matter how long it takes" Applejack said, hugging you closer. You tried to turn towards her to return the hug, but she was too strong, so you decided instead to nuzzle her head until she let go. The two of you sat in the orchard for a long time, until Big Mac stumbled upon you.

"Are you ready to come back?" he asked, offering a hoof to you.

"Yeah, let's get this over with" you said, taking his hoof and picking yourself and Applejack off the ground.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"So what do you say?" Soarin asked, handing you a contract. You had been talking to him for around two hours now, going over travel details, training schedules, and paychecks. Apparently a Wonderbolt's days were usually spent training extensively in one of gyms in Cloudsdale, which were the few in all of Equestria that were specially tailored to Pegasi, the only other ones being in Canterlot and Manehatten. It would also appear as though being a Wonderbolt meant that you could retire after only a few years, and still have enough money to support yourself and a family for three generations.

"If I sign here, I'm a Wonderbolt, through and through?" you asked, pointing towards the bottom of the contract.

"Well you would also have to sign, here, here, and here" Small Fry said. Being the current manager of the Wonderbolts meant he had to be there, along with Spitfire, seeing as she was the captain.

"Okay, well..." you started to sign, not paying any attention as to how you signed, "Done, done, and done, now what?". You looked up to see everypony in the room staring at you in surprise.

"What?" you said, only now noticing a light brown glow around the pen you had used to sign the contract.

"Are you sure you're a Pegasus?" Small Fry asked, poking at the pen that was still being held in the air by what appeared to be your magic.

"I would assume so, I have wings don't-" you said before noticing that your wings had a similar glow around them. You froze, thinking back to what Twilight had told you when you first arrived. Apparently my Pegasi magic is starting to fully manifest itself, you thought as you tried to put the pen down.

"Are you going to put it down anytime soon?" Soarin asked, trying to push it back down to the table, only to have the magic spread over him as well.

"Put him down, put him down!" Spitfire yelled, seeing her partner being lifted into the air by your magic.

"I can't, I don't know how!" you screamed, trying everything you could think of to turn off your magic. When you finally ran out of options you opened your eyes, only to see Applejack running for the door.

"I'll be right back, Twilight will know how to fix this!" Applejack shouted as she ran out the door, slamming it behind her. Knowing it would be a while you sat back, attempting to get comfortable when you noticed Soarin squirming in the magic field that surrounded his body. After a few sharp movements he stopped, a smile spreading across his face.

"This feels like the comfiest cloud ever..." Soarin mumbled as he drifted off to sleep. Spitfire flew up to see if he was okay, only to be caught off guard by his sudden, and loud, snoring. She went back to her seat just as Small Fry finished checking over the contract to make sure you had signed everywhere it was necessary. After you saw him check it a few more times he put it in a folder that was sitting on the table and sat back, trying to get comfortable. Looking around some more you saw Big Mac and the pony known as Dr. Hooves talking to each other on the stairs. Applebloom and her friends had come home, not noticing what was happening around you, and had headed up stairs most likely planning to get their cutie marks today in some weird way. You heard a noise from the kitchen a few minutes later, and when you turned around you saw Granny Smith standing in the doorway with a tray on her back.

"Who wants tea?"

Chapter 10: The Plan

Chapter 10: The Plan

After what seemed like hours Applejack returned with Twilight in tow. Thankfully she happened to know a spell breaker, and within minutes Soarin was laid across the floor, his hide legs sticking up at an odd angle. Everypony laughed for a few minutes, until Soarin got up and walked out, taking Small Fry and Spitfire with him. Big Mac and Hooves came towards the table and decided to drink some of the tea that Granny Smith had brought in after Applejack had left.

"So what made you change your mind?" Twilight asked, taking a sip from her tea cup.

"I thought it would be fun" you said sarcastically. She stared at you with no expression.

"I'm not going to tell you why until I know it will work" you said seriously, putting your empty tea cup down. You looked around, noticing that she was the only pony in the room paying any attention to you. Applejack had fallen asleep on the couch, Big Mac and Hooves had left, and Granny was knitting something again. After Twilight finished her tea she moved towards the door, motioning for you to follow her out.

"I know it may seem weird, but do you want me to train you in magic?" Twilight asked as you closed the door behind you.

"Why? I'm a Pegasus, nothing more, nothing less" you said, turning around to head back inside.

"You sure?" Twilight said, stopping you with her hoof, "It might come in handy"

"Nope, I'm fine" you said as you heading inside, giving Twilight her cue to leave. When you went to sit back down you saw Applejack looking at you from the couch questioningly. You walked past her and made your way upstairs, knowing that she would follow you. She proved your assumptions to be correct when moments later her hoof beats could be heard heading up the stairs behind you. Leading her into the guest room you sat down, and patted the spot on the bed next to you to tell her to sit down.

"So, why did you do it?" Applejack asked, obviously meaning you signing the contract.

"I only did it because of the paycheck" you said, not moving a muscle.

"You did it for the money?!" Applejack nearly shouted, "I thought you were better than that!"

"I'm not using the money myself" you said laying back on the bed, "It's for the farm"

"What?" Applejack asked, surprised.

"Big Mac said that with that section of the farm being dead you might lose the farm, so..." you said, looking at her, hoping she understood where you were going with it.

"'So...' What?" Applejack asked, raising an eyebrow to you.

"I'm going to use my money to keep the farm going, so that you guys don't have to work as hard" you said, sitting up so you could put a foreleg around Applejack's neck.

"But why join the Wonderbolts?" Applejack said as she leaned into you, "I thought you hated them"

"I do, but I realized I only really hated myself" you said, letting her go, "I blamed myself for the accident, but I hated them because it was easy". You laid back on the bed, thinking about what got you to that point. It was mainly Applejack that made you realize it. Small Fry had gotten over it already, and he was in more pain than you because of what happened. He had to watch other Pegasi become Wonderbolts, knowing that he would never become one, and he settled for what he has now, being their manager, which is in a way better than being the captain.

Of course, Applejack telling you that the past is the past, but you can change the future, really helped. You came to terms with what happened just enough to put it in the back of your head until it could be fixed, and it made way for hopes of the future. A future with Applejack, on a farm, not having to worry about money, and with a little pack of colts and fillies running around the house. Yes, you did hate the Wonderbolts, but you had to join them to make the future possible.

"So, you put it behind you, for me?" Applejack asked, laying beside you.

"Pretty much" you said back, nuzzling her cheek.

"How long will you do it for?" Applejack asked, nuzzling you back, "Being a Wonderbolt I mean"

"As long as it takes for me to make sure we won't have to worry about money ever again"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here it was. Your first day in a Wonderbolt outfit. When you were a young colt you had dreamed of this moment, but now that it was here, and with all that had happened before it, you hated it. Inside your mind you were picking out every little thing that annoyed you about the current moment. It's too tight. Those ponies outside are too loud. My hooves hurt, you whined, looking around hoping that it would all disappear and you would find yourself at the farm in the guest bed with Applejack in your legs.

"You ready?" Soarin asked, noticing the sweat running down your face.

"As ready as I'll ever be, I guess" you said back, only now feeling yourself shaking. You shook your head to try and calm down, but it only made it worse. This is the dumbest thing I have ever done, you thought, thinking about what you were about to do.

"Let's get going guys, the show starts in five!" Spitfire yelled from the other side of the men's dressing room door.

"Come on, you'll be fine, I promise" Soarin said as he pulled you towards the door. There was no turning back now. Everypony in the stadium was going to see you fail, and you knew it. You heard the Equestrian anthem begin, signalling the start of the performance. Your job was to go out with Soarin and Spitfire, and perform the very same trick that had crippled your friends back in flight school.

You quickly got in position below the southern stands. Soarin was in the north east, and Spitfire was in the north west, at the end of the anthem, the three of you would fly towards the middle of the stadium and create a fireworks effect. The anthem was quickly coming to a close, cuing the countdown inside your head.

1!

All three of you flew out from your positions, perfectly in sync with one another. At the last moment you pulled back, causing your air cone to disperse, but this time your two partners still collided, their air waves flying straight towards you.

WHAP!

You were sent spiraling down towards the area underneath Cloudsdale Coliseum. Just before you hit terminal velocity you disappeared from the sky, only to find yourself crash landing in front of Sweet Apple Acres.

"What the..." you head Applejack say as she walked towards the crater you created, "Choco!"

"How's it goin'?" you said weakly as you passed out, the sudden teleport causing you to pass out.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Is he going to be okay?" you heard Applejack ask as you woke up, staring at an oddly familiar ceiling.

"It would appear so" Med said while looking at your chart, "No bones broken, nothing seriously bruised, and no internal bleeding"

"Thank Celestia, we would feel so bad if he died on his first day!" Soarin said jokingly in a failed attempt to lighten the mood. Nopony laughed, instead they all just stared at him, Applejack giving him a stare that would scare Nightmare Moon.

"Hey there everypony!" you said lazily, causing all eyes to turn to you.

"He's finally awake!" Small Fry said in a very unbelievable way.

"You always did suck at acting Small Fry" you said, laughing.

"Acting? What acting?" Small Fry said, giving himself away even more. You put a hoof to your face before turning to face Applejack, who was staring at both of you, trying to figure out what was going on.

"Should we just tell her?" Spitfire asked from beside Soarin, who was trying not to laugh.

"Tell me what?" Applejack asked, raising an eyebrow to Spitfire.

"Well, you see..." you said, preparing to tell her what was going on.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"I swear, if I didn't love you, I would have bucked you into next week" Applejack said as you finished. The plan had been to fake an accident, causing you to be kicked out of the Wonderbolts. Although seeing as you did do some work at the show to make it interesting, they still legally had to pay you your paycheck. Normally it would be seen as a bad idea to fake an accident, but you had the whole team on your side. Small Fry planned it out, Spitfire and Soarin helped practice it with you, and Med was told what would be happening so he wouldn't be surprised.

"Was it worth it?" Applejack asked, looking at you worriedly, "Nearly killing yourself?"

"It will make more sense when you see the amount of bits we'll be getting" you said, smiling happily. A normal Wonderbolts salary is around one to two million bits a show, but when a Wonderbolt gets injured and is forced to resign, it doubles. Your pay was going to be one and a half million bits, but after the accident, it was three million.

"So wait, you're saying you put your own life in danger, to make three million bits" Applejack said, thinking it over in her head.

"Basically" you replied, as if it was a normal conversation.

"What they hay are you going to do with all that money?" Applejack asked, honestly not able to think of a way to spend it all.

"Well, first I'll make sure you guys won't lose the farm anytime soon, and then..." you said, smiling at what you were planning.

"And then, what?" Applejack asked, staring you straight in the eyes.

"Then I will surprise you" you said, climbing out of the hospital bed, "Now, let's go home, I really don't like being here"

"Actually, I have a question for you" Med said, slowly walking out of the dark corner that he had hid in, "Who taught you how to teleport?"

"Nopony did" you said as you grabbed your Wonderbolts suit off a nearby chair, "I knew that my magic works when my life is in danger. I just planned on it working, if it didn't, well then I would have hopefully landed in a lake or something". You turned around to see Applejack staring at you, eyes full of hate.

"I don't think you should have let her hear that part" Spitfire said with laughing. Applejack quickly ran at you, planning to give you a talking to, but you managed to get out the door and out the hospital before she could catch you.

"When we get home you're gonna get it!" Applejack screamed as she ran behind you, her anger helping her to keep up as you started to fly away. Thankfully you saw a rather soft looking cloud to hide in, so you quickly burst into it, and started to push it towards Sweet Apple Acres, planning to stay on it until Applejack had calmed down.

Chapter 11: Settling Down

Chapter 11: Settling Down

After getting back to the farm house Applejack had given you a stern talking to, and Big Mac had pulled you outside to talk to you himself. He hasn't said anything for the past ten minutes, and you were now nearing the area where there had once been a forest of dead trees.

"So..." you said, hoping to coax him into finally talking.

"So..." he said back, not looking at you as he continued to walk into the dead orchard. You followed after him, hoping that he would finally start talking if you did. He continued to walk until he came to the center of the orchard, where there was an old stump. After a few minutes he sat down on the stump.

"Do you really care about my sister that much?" he asked quietly as you got closer.

"I love her, so..." you said while raising an eyebrow towards Big Mac, not sure where he was going with this.

"You love her enough to put your own life at risk," he said, pausing to face you, "so that she could live a worry free life?"

"Yeah" you said instantly. He continued to look at you for a few minutes, examining your face and stance as if they could tell him if you were lying or not. A few minutes later he got up, and kicked the stump he was sitting on out of the ground, sending it flying almost fifteen feet. You looked at him in confusion, waiting for him to tell you why he did that.

"Why did you do that?" you asked as he turned around to head back to the house.

"Well, my pa said that if Applejack ever met a proper stallion, he would buck that stump out of the ground, but..." Big Mac said, stopping to look at the ground. You hadn't realized until now, but you had never heard any mention of their parents, so you had thought they were just out traveling. Big Mac started to walk again, and you followed quietly, knowing now was not the time to talk to him. As you and Big Mac got back to house you could smell a fresh apple pie, almost ready to be pulled out of the oven.

"Welcome home" Applejack said as she gave Big Mac a light hug, and gave you a kiss, "Me and Granny made some pie"

"What's the occasion?" you asked, only somewhat joking.

"Well, Big Mac told me what he was taking you out to do, so..." Applejack said as she gave Big Mac a worried look, "Did it not go well?"

"It was fine sis, it's done" Big Mac said as he headed back outside, presumably to get some work done. You and Applejack watched him leave, seeing him hitch himself to a wagon filled with wheat, most likely to be brought to the bakery in town. After he was out of sight you turned to Applejack, only to find out she had gone back into the kitchen. Knowing that she might be in there for a while you made your way to the couch.

Around half an hour later you heard somepony making their way towards you. You looked towards the noise and saw Applebloom being followed by Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle. When they noticed you sitting on the couch they looked at each other in confusion and made their way over.

"Shouldn't you be in a hospital?" Sweetie Belle asked, probably knowing about what happened.

"Nope, I'm fine, not a scratch on me!" you said as you got up, striking a pose. The three fillies laughed and then sat on the couch.

"So what happened?" Scootaloo asked.

"It was part of the act" you said, not wanting to let them in on what really happened. They obviously believed you, seeing as they then started talking to each other about ways to get their cutie mark. Scootaloo suggested a magic trick that would make it look as if Applebloom was grown up, but Sweetie Belle turned it down. Applebloom suggested that Scootaloo through hoops that her and Sweetie Belle would throw up, but Scootaloo said no. After a few more suggestions of a similar nature they finally decided on what they were going to do.

"What if you help Scootaloo fly with your magic Sweetie Belle?" Applebloom said while scratching her head.

"That might work" Sweetie Belle said as she tried to use her magic to life a nearby pen, which flew into the air for all of five seconds. Although you knew that it fell because Sweetie Belle couldn't hold it any longer, the two other crusaders didn't, so they quickly pulled her off the couch and made their way outside.

"Where they goin'" Applejack asked as she made her way out of the kitchen, just in time to see the three crusaders run out the door.

"To get their cutie marks in" you paused, trying to think of what a Pegasus flying with the help of a Unicorn would be called, "I don't know actually"

"Oh, well, okay, I was just about to say the pie is done, and I thought they might want some" Applejack said while looking at the door worriedly.

"They'll be fine, don't worry" you said as you walked over to Applejack, putting a wing around her, "Now about that pie..."

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"That was delicious!" you shouted as you leaned back in your chair after finishing off the entire pie with Applejack's help, "Another!"

"Sorry there cowboy, but we only made one" Applejack said as she laughed.

"Darn, I was really hoping for another one" you said while pretending to be sad. Applejack continued to laugh as she put the plates in the sink. You looked around and noticed Granny Smith was nowhere to be seen.

"Where's Granny?" you asked, knowing she was sitting in the kitchen before you started eating.

"She went upstairs for a nap, she was mighty tired from baking that pie" Applejack said as she sat next to you again, leaning against your shoulder. You nuzzled the top of her head when you remembered what Big Mac had said back out in the orchard.

"Hey AJ?" you asked quietly, taking your raising your head to look at her.

"Yeah sugar?" Applejack asked back, still leaning on your shoulder.

"Where are your parents?"

Everything went dead silent. You were sure that if things stayed this quiet you would be able to hear particles moving around you, but thankfully Applejack spoke up.

"They left us here with Granny a long time ago" she said sadly, pushing her face into your shoulder, "They said they wanted to see the world, and we've never seen or heard from them since". You didn't know what to say to her, so instead of saying anything you simply hugged her, hoping it would comfort her. She slowly started to calm down as you held her, and eventually she pushed off of you.

"Thank sugar, I needed that" Applejack said as she leaned forward again, this time kissing you before placing her head on your shoulder.

"I love you Applejack, don't ever forget that" you said as you held her tight, hoping she would understand that you would never leave her.

"I know you do, and I love you too" Applejack whispered into your ear, hugging you tighter as she rested her head into the crook of your neck. A few minutes passed until either of you moved.

Knock, knock

"Who is it?!" you shouted, not wanting to let go of Applejack.

"It's me!" Med shouted from the door. You sighed as you let go of Applejack and made your way to the door, only to find Med and a Pegasus on the other side. Before Med could say anything you looked at the Pegasus, knowing you had seen him somewhere before.

"Choco, I'd like you to meet Hot Shot" Med said, placing a name to the face for you.

"Hey Hotty" you said as you shook his hoof, remembering the rivalry you had with him back in flight school.

"Hey Choco, long time no see" Hot Shot replied, letting go off your hoof, "I heard you became a Wonderbolt"

"Yeah, but I kinda blew it at my first show" you said sarcastically, knowing that by now he would have heard the news. He laughed as you led him inside, directing him to a spot on the couch. Applejack was standing in the kitchen doorway in confusion. You also waved goodbye to Med, who had begun to make his way back to town.

"What is it?" you asked as you walked over to her.

"You know him?" Applejack asked while waving a hoof at Hot Shot, who had picked up a picture of the Apple family that was on the table.

"Yeah, we went to flight school together" you said while putting a wing around Applejack, "I recommended he fill my spot on the Wonderbolts". Applejack looked at you in disbelief while you lead her over to the couch across from Hot Shot. When you sat down he gave you and Applejack a nod, placing the picture back where it was.

"So, I take it this is Applejack?" Hot Shot asked, nodding again to Applejack.

"Yup, she's my marefriend" you said with a smile on your face.

"Lucky girl, I can think of at least ten mares from flight school that still have crushes on you" Hot Shot said with a laugh, "Sorry for not introducing myself, I'm Hot Shot". Applejack simply nodded in response as she continued to stare at him, watching his every move.

"So, what brings you here?" you asked, hoping to get rid of the tension with some idle conversation.

"Ah, yes" Hot Shot said, pausing to clear his throat, "I'm thinking about moving to Ponyville, and I wanted to see how you were doing"

"Oh really..." Applejack muttered quietly under her breath, still watching Hot Shot. You rolled your eyes at her before turning back to him.

"Where are you staying?" you asked, ignoring Applejack as she poked you in the ribs.

"I'm staying with Med actually, he is renting out his basement, and I happened to be the one that took his offer" Hot Shot said, looking at a clock on the wall behind you. He quickly stood up and made his way to the door, turning around to quickly say goodbye.

"Sorry, I have to go meet somepony for lunch, thanks for letting me stop by" he said as he quickly made his way out of the door, taking to the skies as soon as he got outside. You watched him until he was a tiny spot in the sky, and turned around to face Applejack who was still staring at the door.

"I don't trust him" she said as she got up, making her way upstairs. You followed her as she went upstairs and into her room. She said on her bed and turned to you, motioning for you to sit down too, only to look out her window as you walked over.

"What's wrong?" you asked as you sat down, putting a hoof on her shoulder.

"I don't know, it's just" Applejack said as she turned to face you, "I guess I'm just sad our little moment had to end so soon because of him"

"Don't worry, we have the rest of out lives to be together" you said as you hugged her, giving her a quick kiss as you let go.

"Will we really be together that long?" she asked quietly while looking at you, hoping you would say yes.

"I sure hope so, or I wasted a lot of money on this" you said, reaching into your other wing and pulling out a tiny box.

"What's that?" Applejack asked, her voice raising slightly.

"It's just something I told Med to pick up for me before I went to the show" you said as you brought your other hoof up to open it. Inside was a beautiful ring, and on it was a fire ruby in the shape of an apple. Applejack brought her hooves to her mouth, tears forming in her eyes.

"I know this isn't usually how Earth ponies do this, but I thought it'd be fitting" you said as you pulled the ring out of the box, placing it in one of her hooves. She quickly looked at it, noticing a that it could be used as an earing, along with a small hole along the side.

"It's beautiful, but what's this for?" she asked as she pointed at the small hole.

"Put it on and I'll show you" you said while motioning for her to put it in her ear. After some struggling she managed to get it on, and you turned around to your wing, looking for the second part of the proposal. A few seconds later you found it. There was a feather inside your right wing that you had notched slightly so you could easily pull it out, which you quickly did, and you put it through the hole in the earring.

"This is Pegasi tradition" you said as you fixed the feather, "A stallion will give his largest feather to the mare he wishes to marry instead of a ring". Applejack quickly got up and ran over to her mirror. She carefully caressed the feather, fixing her mane so that it would be visible from all sides before she made her way back to the bed.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Applejack asked, a hint of fear in her voice.

"Do I want to spend my life with the most beautiful mare I've ever seen?" you said sarcastically while scratching your chin, "Of course I do!". You quickly reached over and kissed Applejack to show her that you really meant it, and she happily returned it. After a few minutes the two of you separated, gasping for air as you had been kissing for too long.

"Thanks sugar" Applejack said as she stood up, still blushing, "I better go tell Granny". As she left the room you laid back on her bed, knowing that in a few weeks time it would be your bed as well.

Chapter 12: The Wedding

Chapter 12: The Wedding

"Why am I coming with you?" you moaned as Applejack pulled you into Ponyville. According to her one of the other Elements of Harmony, Rarity, who you haven't met yet, offered to make you and Applejack's wedding attire.

"Because, she said she'd love to make you a suit, seeing as she's never made anything for a Pegasus stallion before" Applejack said while straining to pull you towards the rather girly building you assumed was Rarity's house. After a few minutes of struggling Applejack finally managed to get you to the front door of the house, and she knocked softly.

"We're open!" you heard a rather posh sounding mare shout from the other side, prompting Applejack to open the door and head inside. You followed obediently, knowing that trying to run away would only lead to more trouble.

"Rarity, we're here" Applejack said as she looked at an expensive looking dress that was on a nearby mannequin. You never thought you would see Applejack going into such a girly place so easily, let alone checking out dresses.

"Ah, hello dear, thank you for coming" a while Unicorn said as she entered the room before looking at you, "And you must be Chocolate Wings, correct?". You simply nodded in response, trying to show how much you didn't want to be there, but she either didn't mind it, or didn't notice it.

"Now Applejack dear, I actually didn't think you'd show, considering how opposed you were to me making you a frilly dress last time. You guessed that this Unicorn was Rarity, since the dress she was talking about was the one Applejack had said Rarity had made her for the Gala.

"Rarity, just because I'm a farm mare doesn't mean I don't want to feel like a princess on my wedding day" Applejack said, a hint of annoyance in her voice. Rarity had a look of complete surprise on her face.

"Well then dear, let's get started, and while I do your dress, I'll have Sweetie Belle get Chocolate's measurements" Rarity said as she walked towards the stairs at the back of the room, clearing her throat before yelling up them.

"Sweetie come down here!" she yelled, her voice somehow managing to keep it's posh tone. Sweetie Belle quickly ran down the stairs, nearly crashing into her sister before skidding to a stop in front of you. You looked up and saw Rarity pulling Applejack into a nearby room before Sweetie Belle started to pull on your hoof.

"Follow me" she said as you got up, hoping things would be over quickly. You followed her into the room next to the one Applejack was in with Rarity and Sweetie Belle immediately started to measure you. She was quickly measuring every length of your body, pausing only to write them down before she put away the measuring tape.

"All done!" she said triumphantly as she walked out of the room, "Rarity will be in here shortly". You quickly looked out the door to check the time, and surprisingly only eight minutes had passed. So now that Sweetie Belle's done, I get to play the waiting game! you thought sarcastically as you sat down in the one chair present in the room. To your surprise Rarity came in moments later, holding some fabrics with her magic.

"Now then dear, let's get started" Rarity said as she set the fabrics down on a nearby table, "What sort of suit are you looking for?". You shrugged in response, partly due to the fact you didn't want to be there, but mostly due to the fact that you hadn't thought about it.

"Now, now dear, everypony has to have some sort of preference" Rarity said as she coaxed you onto the platform in the middle of the room.

"I've never thought about it that much to be honest" you said as Rarity began to look over the measurements that Sweetie had taken. She looked up at you in confusion before pulling a pen and paper towards herself. After a few minutes of intense scribbling she turned the paper towards you, revealing a very sleek suit.

"How's this?" she asked, pushing the paper more towards your face. You grabbed it out of her magic and started to examine it. Crisp shoulders, form fitted, and not to extravagant.

"It's perfect" you said as you handed the paper back to her. She looked at once more before looking back to you.

"Do you want a hat dear?" she asked, as she quickly pulled a hat from outside towards you. It looked similar to a fedora, which you had seen many posh ponies wear during your time in flight school, but you could never see why anypony would wear it.

"I'm fine with the suit, but thank you for the offer" you said, trying to be polite. She simple nodded before heading back outside, leaving you to your thoughts. I knew this was going to be boring, but how long am I going to have to wait for?, you thought as you sat down again. After around an hour you started to feel sleepy, and eventually, you passed right out.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Sugar, time to wake up" you heard Applejack say as she shook you, trying to get you to open your eyes. After getting up you realized that you had fallen asleep in the chair, and at some point, fell off it. You rubbed you leg which had been laying in an awkward position before standing following Applejack, who had gone back to the main room.

"Now then dear, I believe your dress should be done in two days" Rarity said as she looked over what must be the dress' plans. She looked to you and stifled a giggle due to the way your mane had settled. You looked around for a mirror and after finding one noticed that your mane had been pushed up, and you now looked like Fluttershy if she had shorter hair.

"Oh Celestia..." you mumbled as you tried to fix your mane, to no avail. You turned around to face the two girls after you managed to push your mane down, and noticed the time on the clock above them. Eight pm. That means you had been asleep for almost ten hours. Rarity obviously noticed where you were looking and quickly apologized.

"I'm sorry dear, we were distracted as we were talking about the wedding plans" Rarity said while blushing slightly, obviously embarrassed that she had spent such a large amount of her day talking with a friend.

"It's fine Rarity, I'm sure he enjoyed his little nap" Applejack said with a laugh before heading towards the door, "See you soon Rarity"

"Yes, goodnight dear, and see you soon" Rarity said as you shuffled towards the door. She stifled a laugh again as you tripped while heading outside, seeing as you were still somewhat tired. Applejack had already started walking back to the farm when you caught up with her.

"So, how was your nap?" she asked jokingly.

"Very funny" you groaned, "How was your time with Rarity?"

"Fine, I think she's surprised I wanted such a fancy dress" Applejack said as she thought about her and Rarity's conversation.

"To be completely honest, I'm surprised you want a fancy dress too" you said quietly, hoping that you weren't about to get in trouble for saying that.

"Hey, I may be tough, but I'm still a girl, and every girl has dreams" she said curtly as she picked up the pace, nearly leaving you behind. You quickly caught up and kept quiet until you got back to the house. The rest of the night went smoothly, and you started to think about what was going to happen at the wedding.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here it is, the day has finally come. It's been almost two months since you proposed to Applejack, but the fun wasn't over. According to Twilight, because Applejack is an Element of Harmony Celestia wanted to oversee the wedding herself. As if that wasn't bad enough the entire wedding was going to be broadcast across Equestria by some of the most powerful Unicorns in Canterlot.

"You ready?" you heard Shining Armor, Twilight's brother and captain of the guard, ask from behind you. He was appointed to your guard for today since it was such an important event, and supposedly enemies of Equestria might attack you when you least expect it.

"I guess" you said as you turned around to face him, "Does it look alright?"

"The suit is fine, now come on, it's almost time" he said as he pushed you out of the tent you were in to get ready. The wedding was taking place on Sweet Apple Acres, in the orchard where the stump Big Mac had kicked had been. According to him Applejack picked this spot because of the stump, most likely because the stump being gone meant you were the one.

As you got closer to the spot you saw a line of ponies waiting along the fence that now surrounded the orchard. Some of them, including Med and Hot Shot, were going to be your best stallions. Others were from Applejack's family, many you had met only days before. A rather handsome looking stallion was Braeburn, who was Applejack's cousin from Appleloosa. Beside him stood his sister Pink Pearl, who was going to be along side Applebloom as they places rose petals along the isle.

"Hey Mac" you said as you got closer to the crowd, noticing him standing at the end.

"You ready?" he asked in a very serious tone.

"As ready as I'll ever be" you said while looking past him at the large number of ponies waiting in the orchard.

"Okay, well, as soon as you're up there I'll go get AJ" he said, waving a hoof towards Celestia, who was patiently waiting for the ceremony to get underway. Knowing that by standing there you were only wasting everypony's time you quickly made you way towards the altar. Among the ponies in the orchard were the other Elements of Harmony, and your parents. as you reached Celestia she nodded to you and leaned forwards.

"It's nice to finally meet you" she said while smiling.

"It's my pleasure princess" you said while bowing to her. She continued to smile as the music started, signalling the beginning of the ceremony. First your best stallions came in together, lining up behind you, then the bridesmares lining up along the other side, and the flower fillies began to make their way up the isle. As few moments later Applejack appeared from behind the fence, Big Mac leading her down the isle in place of their father. You were stunned at how beautiful Applejack looked in her dress.

As the music died down Applejack stopped beside you, blushing furiously. Before anypony could say anything Celestia began to talk. The ceremony went on as planned, you and Applejack repeating the words Celestia told you to, and finally...

"You may kiss the bride!" Celestia announced. You and Applejack quickly leaned forward into a passionate kiss, causing cheers of joy to erupt from everypony watching. After a few seconds you broke apart and made your way down the isle together, your wing wrapped around her body. As you and her got out of the orchard you heard a loud bang and looked up to see Rainbow Dash performing a new trick, specially designed for the wedding. It was a Sonic Rainboom, but she managed to control her flight enough to recreate the shape of an apple with her rainbow trail. She landed in front of you and Applejack and smiled.

"Congrats"

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The reception was held in the barn, only close friends and family were allowed in, although Pinkie had managed to sneak in DJ Pon3 somehow. As everypony reached the center of the barn, which was the designated dance floor the music started, and you and Applejack had your first dance. Everypony quickly joined in and the rest of the night was spent partying with friends and plenty of drinking, Granny Smith having brought out her special cider.

After the day had ended ponies began to head home, many of them plenty drunk, Princess Luna having gotten slightly intoxicated as well. As you and Applejack said goodbye you felt somepony tug on your tail, and you turned around to see Applebloom smiling at you.

"Is something the matter?" you asked, not sure why she was trying to get your attention.

"I just wanted to say thanks" she said as she leaned in to hug your neck, "I'm really happy to have a brother like you"

"Thanks Applebloom" you said as you returned the hug, happy to know that every member of the Apple family was glad to have you. You looked up and saw that all the guests had left, meaning it was time for you and Applejack to head to bed. She was smiling at you deviously as you walked over to her, and she started to lead you towards the house, her flank swaying as she walked. You obediently followed, knowing what she was planning to do once you were in her room.

Epilogue

Epilogue

You were sitting on the front porch when you saw an orange blur shoot past you into the orchard. The blur quickly stopped at shot back towards you, barely managing to stop before colliding with your face.

"Hey dad!" the colt said happily as he landed shakily, still trying to get used to flying.

"Hey Caramel" you said as you patted him on the head. He was one of three children you have with Applejack, and was the only Pegasus. The oldest, Sweet Apple, was a Unicorn surprisingly, and was light pink with a white mane. According to Twilight she's is a Unicorn because of your magic ability, but you think it may just be because you have a Unicorn sister. The youngest, Candy Apple, was an Earth pony, and was constantly full of energy. She was a dark red colour like Big Mac, but had a chocolate mane. The Pegasus in front of you was the middle child, and the only colt.He was a light orange and had a dark brown mane.

"Can you show me how to fly again dad?" Caramel asked as he pulled you out of your chair.

"Okay fine, but remember, no stunts this time" you said, thinking back to the last time you tired to teach him how to fly. He was doing good, almost managing to catch up to you when he tried to do a barrel roll, causing him to loose control and crash into the Everfree forest. You took off with him following close behind you, and after getting fairly high in the sky you turned to him.

"Okay, first we're going to see how well you can turn while going full speed" you said as he got to the same height as you were at. He nodded in response and quickly started to circle you, becoming a blur. After a few minutes you pulled him to a stop, nearly getting dizzy due to the number of spins you had to do to stop him.

"Why'd you stop me?" he asked while crossing his forelegs. You simply pointed down to the ground, where Applejack was standing.

"Mom!" he shouted as he flew down to her full speed. Unluckily for him he wasn't very good at slowing down yet, let alone landing, so he crashed face first into the ground. Applejack quickly pulled him out an checked for any injuries, but couldn't find any. She shot you an angry look as you landed laughing, knowing that he was going to crash.

"Sorry, I couldn't catch him before he shot away" you said through the laughter, which only increased as he shook his head, his mane puffing into an afro. Applejack punched you in the shoulder before checking on Caramel again, making sure he was really okay.

"It's fine mom, I've crashed worse before" he said as she tried to rub dirt off his forehead. He pushed her away and made his way back to the house. You turned to Applejack to see her looking at him angrily.

"Calm down, he's just being a kid" you said as you patted her on the back, knowing that she couldn't stay mad at her son for long. She quickly cheered up and nuzzled your cheek, planting a kiss there before pulling away.

"Any news from Sweet?" she asked while giving you a worried look.

"Twilight said she passed the entrance exam, and since Twilight wants to take her on as a personal student, she gets to stay at home while she learns magic" you said, thinking back to the letter you received earlier that day from a cloud of red smoke.

"That's good!" Applejack said before she remembered what the entrance exam is, "Does that mean?"

"Eeyup" you said with a laugh, "We get to take care of three kids and a baby dragon now! Doesn't that sound like fun?!". Applejack gave you a quick kick to the ribs before smiling.

"Speaking of kids, where's Candy?" she asked, noticing that the youngest hadn't said hello to her yet.

"She ran off with Spectrum and Sapphire" you said calmly, knowing that the kids of Rainbow Dash and Rarity were nothing to fear.

"Oh, okay, was Red with them?" Applejack asked, thinking of Pinkie Pie's colt.

"No, but I think they went to go get her, I'm not too sure" you replied with a shrug, "Now let's go inside, I'm sure they'll be hungry when they get back". You led Applejack towards the house that you had built yourself, right on the spot where you had gotten married. It was Big Mac's idea, which was brought up after Applejack became pregnant with Caramel. There wasn't enough room in the farm house for another child, so he suggested building a house on the farm so Applejack could continue to work, but also allowing for you and her to have a place of your own. It took almost three years to get it finished, but it was worth it.

After getting inside Applejack made her way to the kitchen and you headed towards the living room, where Caramel was playing with his Wonderbolts toys. He quickly looked up at you and smiled before going to back to what he was doing. You looked to see what toys he was playing with and saw two very familiar looking Pegasi, Hot Shot and Rainbow Dash. Both had become Wonderbolts after you married Applejack, but Rainbow had to resign to take care of her kids, but many still think she was the best Wonderbolt in recent history, so they still made toys of her.

You sat down on the couch and looked at the pictures on the walls. One was from the wedding, and the others were family pictures, one taken every year on the anniversary of the wedding. You then looked at the table beside you, where Applejack's hat sat. After the wedding Applejack had given it to you, saying that the patriarch of the next Apple family should wear it, but you've only worn it on special occasions, like the pictures and at your friends' weddings. It was amazing to think that in such a short time you had met the mare of your dreams, and have had three children with her already.

There was a knock on the door, and when you went to open it you heard voices from the other side.

"Come on Spectrum, just do it already!" Sapphire said, trying to get him to do something. You quickly went upstairs and flew out an open window so you could see what was going on with out them knowing, and you got close enough to hear what they were saying.

"But what if her dad doesn't like me?" Spectrum asked while pointing at Candy.

"I'm sure he'll be fine, he's really easy going" Candy said while moving closer to Spectrum.

"But..." he said, only to be cut off by Candy, who had kissed him. You felt anger rising in your chest, but you quickly pushed it away, knowing that Candy was old enough to kiss a colt, and honestly, you were glad it was him. Knowing that they hadn't seen you yet you decided to sneak up behind them to scare them. As you crawled across the ground you could hear Spectrum mumbling.

"But, what if he? Or if your mom?" he mumbled, not making any sense and eventually he started to rambled nonsense. At that moment you popped up behind him, a very serious look on your face, causing Candy and Sapphire to let out a tiny scream.

"Behind you!" Candy shouted, waving a hoof at you. Spectrum slowly turned around, and jumped back when he saw the look on your face. After you were happy with how terrified he was you smiled, causing him to change from scared, to confused.

"Candy was right, I don't mind" you said, opening the door to the house.

"You don't mind what?" Spectrum asked shakily.

"If you date her" you said, laughing as you walked inside, leaving him in confusion. It took a few moments before he realized what you said, causing him to immediately pull Candy into a hug, nearly crushing her in the process. The two of them danced around happily.

It's seems Apples have a thing for Pegasi, you thought with a laugh before heading into the kitchen to tell Applejack the good news.

Author's Notes

That brings this story to a close. This was a story I had been thinking about for a while, and once I finished the TwiDash I thought it was time to start writing it. This story is only the first in a series, the next one covering Hot Shot and Rainbow Dash. This Epilogue is meant to give a small hint as to what the outcome the other stories will be.

I hope everyone liked this story, and hopefully you'll stay tuned for the others!
