Chapter 1
It was a peaceful day in Ponyville, a day like no other. Fluttershy was out in her garden tending to the animals and many flowers that grew there. "Looks like today is going to be pretty quiet, I have so many things to do," she thought to herself "I might just have time to see Rarity at the spa."
Fluttershy walked down towards the market " I sure hope that Angel Bunny's favorite carrots are in today, she always gets so mad whenever I get her the regular kind" Suddenly she heard a playful scream "Hey Fluttershy!" the pony cried Fluttershy jumped and squeaked from being so frightened by the pony. She tried to keep her balance but suddenly fell backwards and landed on her back. Squirming like a turtle the Pink pony helped her up. "Hey silly!" Fluttershy suddenly gave a small smile, it was Pinkie Pie. "Oh uh.... hey Pinkie.." she stammered still in shock from the sudden attack.
"Whatcha doin today!" Pinkie playfully asked. "Oh um.... I had a few things that I have to do today...." "Aww, that's too bad I was hoping to get everyone together today," she said. "I uh might have some time later tonight.... What did you have in mind?" Fluttershy Said finally recovering from her scare. "Well! Since the last time we all had a huge party together was like last week I thought why not plan another one!" Pinkie Exclaimed. Fluttershy managed to give a weak smile. She loved Pinkie's parties but she was always so shy when they happened and she could never express herself in the way she wanted to there. All her friends were there. Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash...
She and Rainbow had been friends ever since they were fillies back in Cloudsdale in flight school. Mostly because everyone in flight school had all tormented and bullied her for being so shy, and Rainbow was the only one that really stood up for her. That was when she knew that she had really liked Rainbow Dash, but never managed to tell her about her feelings towards her. One day when they were young During a Race that changed all of her friends' lives forever, which was the reason of their cutie marks and maybe even their friendship towards everyone. After the race was done Rainbow and Fluttershy never saw each other again because Fluttershy never wanted to go back to Cloudsdale with all of those mean ponies there and soon moved to a small town nearby Ponyville. After a few years Rainbow Dash decided to quit flight school and move away from Cloudsdale to the town of Ponyville.
"Uh, Fluttershy, you still there?" Pinkie yelled again. "Oh uh..." Blushed Fluttershy realized that she had been staring off in the distance for quite a while. "Wow you completely zoned out!" Pinkie said. "Sorry." Fluttershy said holding her head down. "Oh don't be sorry Fluttershy" Pinkie said. "Do you think you can come to Sugercube Corner, I think twilight and Rarity said that they should be there."Oh, uh, alright, when I finish up here I'll come along..." She said.
After grabbing a few of Angel Bunny's favorite carrots and many other things for herself Fluttershy started to head toward Sugercube Corner. She opened up the door and saw all of her friends sitting at the table; they seemed to be talking about something. "Yeah, I think that tonight would be fine." Twilight said. "Oh hey there Fluttershy!" she said suddenly seeing Fluttershy in the doorway. "Oh uh hey girls." said Fluttershy "Fluttershy I hope you don't mind but I moved our appointment to the spa from tonight to tomorrow night if you would like to come to the party Pinkie had setup for us." Rarity said. "Oh um.... Sure I guess." Fluttershy replied quietly. "Oh that great dear! We're going to have it at Twilight's place in a few hours." she said. "Well then if we're going to be having the party in only a few hours shouldn't You and Pinkie head to the library and get to work setting up?" Applejack suggested. "Oh my gosh! I almost forgot about cleaning up! See you guys at the party later!" Twilight yelled as she grabbed Pinkie Pie and ran off. "Hey, where's Rainbow Dash? She said she was going to be here." Applejack complained. "Maybe she's busy and couldn't make it..." Fluttershy said trying hard not to blush. "Well, you're probably right sugar cube; you and her have been friends for so long you know her better than anyone here in Ponyville." Fluttershy couldn't hold it in anymore and began to blush a bright red, but Applejack and Rarity didn't seem to be paying any attention because they were arguing about something. "Alright, I'm going to start getting ready for the party." Fluttershy said "Alright dear, if you happen to see Rainbow be sure to tell her about the party tonight!" Rarity yelled after her as she ran out the door.
Back at Fluttershy's cottage Fluttershy was pacing back and forth mumbling to herself, "Come on Fluttershy, just go out there and tell Rainbow Dash about the party. I mean it's only a party it's not like it was a date or something." Just at the thought of dating Rainbow Dash made Fluttershy Blush bright red and Angel Bunny looked at her with a very inpatient look. "Oh sorry angel, I forgot to feed you again, didn't I? Sorry... I've just had so much on my mind I don't know what to do, I mean she's a mare and I'm a mare, what would she said even if I had the courage to tell her my feelings about her, it could ruin our entire friendship!" Fluttershy said raising her voice a little without even noticing. A little while after feeding Angel Bunny Fluttershy finally decided to go and tell Rainbow dash. It took a while but she finally managed to climb up to Rainbow dash house and knocked on the door very quietly. There was no answer, she knocked again and still nothing. After the third time she was about to give up and walked about when suddenly she see a small blue bird in the distance it seemed to be getting closer. That wasn't a bird that was. *WHAM* Rainbow Dash collided into Fluttershy "Ow...." Fluttershy said quietly. "Sorry about that Fluttershy! Didn't see where I was going." Rainbow explained, picking up Fluttershy as she said. "Uh Fluttershy what are you doing here at my house?" Rainbow Asked? "I uh... um....." Fluttershy seemed to have forgotten why she was there. "Oh yeah... Pinkie Pie was thinking of throwing a party tonight... would you um.. like to go?" "Ha! Miss a party thrown by Pinkie Pie? Oh course I'll go!" Rainbow Said flying around. "Where, when?" "Oh, it's at Twilight's place in an hour." Fluttershy replied. "In a hour?! I gotta get ready! See ya then Fluttershy!" Rainbow said speeding off. *sigh* "Maybe I can tell her tonight... yeah, that's what I'll do!" Fluttershy exclaimed feeling more confident than ever.
Chapter 2
The confidence that Fluttershy had stored from her last talk with Rainbow Dash was slowly dying away and she desperately needed to tell her friend of her feelings for her but she had no idea on how to find out if she was for lack of a better word a Fillyfooler. She didn't want to lose her friendship with Rainbow forever just the mere thought of losing Rainbow Dash as a friend made Fluttershy's stomach growl but she knew that even if Rainbow didn't like her she would still be friends, she brushed her mane, made sure angel bunny was alright and left her little Cottage to head to Twilight's house on her way there she ran into Applejack. "Oh hi Applejack" Fluttershy Stammered she forgot to even talk to her friends about her feelings for Rainbow Dash, What would they say? Would they care about being fond of mares? "Uh, sugercube?" Applejack said "You alright Hun?" she said looking at Fluttershy with a Puzzled look on her face. "Oh um sorry... Did you um say something?" "Well I was just asking if you managed to tell Rainbow Dash about the Party." Um... yeah I told her..." Fluttershy said not really paying attention to where she was going as she tripped on her own feet and fell face first.
"Ahh!" Fluttershy Screamed "Woah you ok there!" Applejack Exclaimed as she picked up Fluttershy off the ground and dusted her off. "What's on your mind Sugar?" Applejack said "What... uh... Nothing.." Fluttershy Quickly said "Aww I know what's going on" Applejack said stopping Fluttershy from walking any further. "I've seen that look before... you're in love aren't you?" "um......" Fluttershy said trying to hide the fact she was blushing. "Come on Fluttershy who's the lucky Colt? "Fluttershy Blushed even harder and looked away tears forming in her eyes. "Oh... I'm sorry Sugercube I....I never would have thought you were interested in mares. I thought you maybe liked Big Mac since your both pretty silent" Applejack said trying to comfort Fluttershy. "I hate asking um mind telling me who it.... I mean you don't have to if you don't want to." Applejack was cut off by Fluttershy "ITS RAINBOW DASH!" Fluttershy didn't mean to scream but it seemed as though she needed to say those words for such a long time now. Applejack was startled by the small ponies scream and backed away, but then a smile grew on her face. "I never would have thought you would have liked Rainbow." Applejack said grinning "I know she's a athlete but she was always there for me when we started school she was my only friend and stood up for me..." Fluttershy stammered threw her words. "I would have told everyone sooner but I wasn't sure how you would have reacted." "Aww Sugercube... I don't think any of us would have a problem with it sure it will take time to get used to but we are your friends and we only want what's best for you." Applejack replied wiping the small pony's tears. "Really?" Fluttershy said. "As my brother would say Eeyup!" Applejack said laughing and the two continued to walk to Twilight's.
As the two walked inside Twilight's house they could see that room had been very well decorated and could see pinkies party cannon in the corner of the room. "Finally!" Pinkie Yelled Jumping at the two ponies "Now that everyone's here it's really a party!" She said running over to the stereo blaring the music. "Well come on you two come on in!" Pinkie said waving her hoof inside the Library. "Why thanks for inviting us Sugercube!" Applejack as the two walked in "Wouldn't be a party without the elements of harmony!"
Fluttershy looked to the right of the room she seen Twilight and Spike she seemed to have a very angry look on her face, the baby dragon was bright red and had a bit of ice cream on the bottom of his lip, Rarity had seemed to be looking at herself in one of Twilight's mirrors checking her mane multiple times. Rainbow dash was looking at the major amount of food that pinkie had made for them and began to dive in as pinkie walked towards her and began helping herself as well. Applejack headed inside but Fluttershy wasn't paying any attention to her, she had her eyes set on Rainbow, That beautiful cyan coat, her rose red eyes she could stare at them for hours. Suddenly she realized that she had been staring for what it seemed like 5 minutes none of the other ponies seemed to notice but Twilight looked at her with a puzzled look on her face, "Uh Fluttershy, You ok?" Twilight said looking over at the Yellow Pony "what are you doing just standing there it is a party after all!" Fluttershy sighed in relief she hadn't seen her looking at rainbow. "Um..." Fluttershy blushed "I uh think I'm going to have a little walk outside if you don't mind me leaving for a bit" Fluttershy was feeling very cramped in the library, she needed some time to think now that Applejack new she was wondering if she should tell her other friends before telling rainbow.

Rainbow Dash stood at the refreshment table and continued to eat while laughing at a story Pinkie was tell her "And that's how Equestria was made!" Pinkie said "Haha oh Pinkie Pie you are so random." Rainbow Snorted and began to suddenly choked on the un-chewed food she had forgotten to chew but managed to swallow it in one big gulp "Ahhh that's better" She said catching her breath and rubbing her throat. "Dashie you ought to be more careful!" Pinkie said staring at her friend as she continued to eat. "You could have gotten that stuck in your throat! "Yeah... Sorry about that Pinkie." Rainbow apologized "Hey where's Fluttershy going?" Rainbow said nodding towards the door as the yellow pony walked out. "I don't know! sometimes I wonder what that pony has on her mind" Pinkie said "Well you know Fluttershy she's not much for partying but this isn't like her not to ignore her friends, maybe I'll go and talk to her." Rainbow said grabbing two cupcakes with some kind of yellow and green icing, and placing them on her outstretched wings.
Chapter 3
Rainbow began to walk down the long dirt road in search of her friend. She sighed trying to keep the cupcakes steady, "She's probably somewhere down near the Everfree forest, I know shes been living there for so long, but I'm always so worried for her being so close to there," Rainbow thought to herself keeping an eye out for a Pink mane, along with keeping the cupcakes she had on her open wings leaving her grounded for a bit, Rainbow didn't like the idea of not being able to fly, but she knew her friend would appreciate the gift.
Fluttershy walked alongside the trees of Everfree forest keeping a bit of distance she had been living there when she first came to Ponyville, but most pony's tried to keep away from the area. As she walked along she kept thinking about what she told Applejack, "Should I have told her... she seemed to be fine with it. Oh I just don't know what to do! I don't know if she likes mares!" "Gahhh..." Fluttershy groaned, "Fluttershy?" Rainbow Dash said, looking over her shoulder "Ahhhh!" Fluttershy screamed and ran a few feet before turning around to see what had startled her, "Fluttershy are you ok?!" Rainbow said worriedly, "I'm so sorry for scaring you I should have been more careful." Rainbow apologized. "Oh its fine Dash" Fluttershy said, then turned a bright pink suddenly realizing the pet name she had given Rainbow Dash, but Rainbow hadn't seemed to notice, since Pinkie Pie called her Dashie all the time. "Oh Horse Apples," one of the yellow and green cupcakes Rainbow had, dropped to the ground. "I meant to give you that..." Rainbow said holding out her own Cupcake to Fluttershy "here take mine," Rainbow said with a smile. Fluttershy went to grab the cupcake but stopped her hoof from grabbing the cupcake leaned in and took a big bite right from her hoof "There now you can eat the rest I'm not really that hungry anyway," Fluttershy stated Whipping off the Green and Yellow icing. The yellow icing seemed to have blended into her yellow coat. "Alright then your loss!" she said, with a smile and throwing the Cupcake into her mouth giving a small gulp.
The Two talked for what seemed like hours until the sun started to go down. They talked of almost everything they could think of, Rainbows training sessions, Fluttershy's many different animals, and anything they could think of. Fluttershy enjoyed talking to Rainbow the entire time and it looked as though Rainbow had a good time too. The two sat down beside each other as they walked in the meadow, Fluttershy blushing as she sat beside her love. Rainbow seen this but made no effort to say something to her, she knew Fluttershy for years and she blushed every time she fell over or was uncomfortable. "So much for going to the party," laughed Rainbow Dash, looking at the sun slowly being lowered by their very own, Princess Celestia, "Oh yeah, I didn't even get the chance to say hello to everyone there..." Fluttershy said lowering her head, "hey cheer up, Fluttershy, your friends know that your not that into partying, I'm sure they'll understand," Rainbow stated looking down at the yellow pony, After a minute Rainbow Dash interrupted the silence "Fluttershy..." she said, her maroon eyes glistening in the almost faded sunlight, "Yeah, Dash...?" Fluttershy said with a bit of a whisper, "I need to tell you something.... You have to promise not to tell the others... Please?" "Anything for you, Rainbow," Fluttershy said blushing. Here goes nothing, Dash thought "I like mares..." At those words, Fluttershy didn't know what to say she was ever so happy and at the same time dreaded what would come next. What if she liked a certain mare in Ponyville? Most of Ponyville was Fillies. "There's a pony in Ponyville I actually kind of have a crush on," Rainbow said looking at Fluttershy. This is exactly what Fluttershy didn't want to hear. She was on the verge of tears, and began to shake ever so slightly.
Looking away from Rainbow, she got up and felt a single tear role down her cheek and fall to the hard ground, Rainbow liked a different pony... "Fluttershy?" Rainbow said, "Are you alright?" Fluttershy turned and faced her friend tears running from her face and she started to sob, "Fluttershy wait!" Rainbow said, folding her wings out and taking off towards the Flying Pegasus, who was speeding away from her and into the Everfree Forest. "Fluttershy, the mare I like is you!" Rainbow Dash yelled but the cyan mare didn't get there in time. She stopped and starred at the Pitch black forest, Fluttershy's cry's getting quieter and quieter until nothing.
Chapter 4
The cyan mare found herself close to tears starring into the never ending darkness of the forest, soon tears began to run down her face in a long stream, falling to the cold ground "F-Fluttershy...." She stammered through the tears, "I have to find her..."
"Twilight!" Rainbow yelled, bursting down the front door to the library, tearing it off its hinges, parts of the door frame cutting her. "Gu-guys y-you've gotta help... Fluttershy...." Rainbow stammered through her tears. "Where is she? And just what the hay is going on!?" Applejack asked. "Sh-she ran into Everfree Forest...." Rainbow Dash sobbed while Pinkie gave her friend a light hug and attempted to remove most of the splinters. "We better hurry so she doesn't get in too far." Twilight said, marching to the door. "I'll stay here with Spike dear, just encase she happens to come back. Do be careful!" Rarity said. Spike gulped and turned a bright red. "Alright girls, let's get going." Twilight said, looking at the now terror struck ponies.
"We need to go faster, We need to find her!" Rainbow thought, tears no longer in her eyes. She needed to find Fluttershy. Nothing else mattered at that point. Once the gang had gotten to Everfree forest, they decided they could cover more ground by splitting up and meeting back at the edge of the forest by sunset. Applejack thought that it would be a good idea if Twilight went with Pinkie, since Twilight could use some kind of spell to show if she was in danger and Rainbow Dash could easily use her wings.
Rainbow Dash and Applejack walked for what seemed like 10 minutes, both not really wanting to talk, but Applejack still wanted to know what was going on. "Why in the hay did she go and run off, anyway?" Applejack asked, as the four ponies continued to run inside Everfree Forest. "Well uh...er.... Something uh... Startled her! Yeah and she ran off into the Forest!" Rainbow said, giving a fake smile to Applejack, "Come on now, Rainbow, you can't lie to me. I know that somethings up." Rainbow's heart raced, "Well er... um..... I.. urgggh, fine! I'll tell you what happened. I was talking to Fluttershy for most of the night. We hanged out around the Everfree Forest." Rainbow said blushing, "We... we were just talking..." Rainbow continued. "About what?" Applejack said with a puzzled look on her face. "When we were done talking, we were watching the sun beginning to set..." Rainbow said, blushing even more. "That still doesn't tell me why she ran off.... Oh wait, she didn't, no she wouldn't have told you..." Applejack said. "Tell me what?" Rainbow Dash said, raising her eyebrow . "I'm sorry I can't tell you. I promised Fluttershy I wouldn't tell anyone. Besides, you know I can't lie or break a Pinkie Promise to a friend, Rainbow." Applejack said. "Well I really should have told everyone this sooner but.... I-I like mares..." Rainbow said, looking down at her hooves, "I know you may think I'm some sort of monster, that's the reason she left. I don't know why she would have just ran off into the forest because i told her that I liked mares..." Applejack smiled, "It must have been really hard to tell her that." Rainbow gave a quick glance at Applejack, but looked back to the ground just as fast, "Fluttershy and I have been friends since we were fillies. I know I could trust her, I just don't know why she ran off..." Rainbow said. "Now, listen here, sugarcube, I think she just misunderstood what you were trying to say." Applejack said, with a grin, thinking of her previous conversation with her shy friend.
"Do you even know where we're going?" Pinkie asked, bouncing up and down along the pathway. "Well, to tell you the truth, I was thinking of going down to Zecora's Hut and find out if she saw where Fluttershy went," Twilight replied. "Well if that's what ya wanna do, just make sure we don't run into any poison joke! I just couldn't stand not being able to talk!" Pinkie beamed and began to ramble on about something but Twilight was deep in thought. What was Fluttershy doing with Rainbow Dash, and why would she just run away like that? "...And there was so much Batter left over, we had enough to make seconds!" Twilight snapped out of her thoughts, "What are you talking about Pinkie?" Twilight said, giving her friend a concerned look. "Oh, I was just talking about that time that Rainbow came over to make cupcakes!" Pinkie said with a grin, "Umm... okay then, Pinkie... Let's just try and get to Zecora's without getting attacked by some monster." Twilight proclaimed, "Just try to keep quiet so we aren't overheard, okay?" Twilight said, crouching a little lower to the ground, "Okie Doki Loki!" Pinkie said with a wide smile.
Chapter 5
"H-hello? Zecora are you home...?" Twilight said with a wispier as she opened the door to Zecora's hut. "Hmm I don't know if shes home Twilight do you think we should just wait here till she comes back or do you think we should just keep searching?" Pinkie asked as the slight echo of Twilights voice came from the dark hut. "Maybe we should just stay here where its safe its starting to get late I don't think that Zecora would mind." Twilight said walking into the dark hut with her horn lit "Okie Doki oki!" Pinkie said smiling and bounced into the door.
Twilight quickly using her magic began to light all of the candles in the room brightening up the small hut. Tiki heads of all shapes and sizes peered down the the pony's many potion ingredients scattered around the small house, the shadows moving with the candle light. The two mares found a spot on the floor and waited, for what seemed like a hour the door opened, Zecora stood at the door looking at the two mares now in her house "Zecora!" Twilight said picking herself off the floor walking towards the zebra. "where very sorry to have barged in but we needed a place to stay you see our friend Fluttershy has ran off into Everfree Forest. We have been looking for her all night have you seen her?" Zecora looked at the Lavender and pink mare setting down the strange purple and red spotted plant she had collected "I have seen the friend you seek, I seen her running towards the peak the very place your mighty blue friend had to choice between her very best friends." Zecora rhymed "Hmm So your telling us that shes at the bridge when Rainbow Dash learned that she was the element of Loyalty?" Twilight exclaimed "Yes that is the place but you much hurry for it may be to late." The Zebra said with a mystic tone in her voice.
Rainbow Dash and Applejack where getting very tired there hoofs chipping at the dirt road and rocks that covered it, all of a sudden a large purple firework went off in the distance the two pony's looked up at the shimmering lights. "What the hay! That must have been Twilight oh I hope shes not in trouble, the light seems to be coming from Zecora's house." Applejack yelled Rainbow Dash was in the air grabbed Applejack by the hooves and lifting her "Wait a hay stomping minute, Rainbow what are you doing?!" Applejack said flailing around looking to the ground moving farther and farther away Applejack turned and looked at the pegusis her mane was very wet from crying and seemed to be lacking her normally bright colors her fur was mangled and wet as well she could tell she was in pain but her face was full of determination, the strain was killing Rainbow Dash and every time her wings flapped a painful stitch in her side began to hurt but the pain didn't matter anymore nothing mattered anymore the only thing she had on her mind was Fluttershy.
The moon slowly moved along the star covered sky Luna was moving along as the moon moved. Looking down below at the Everfree forest some very large purple fireworks flew up into the sky almost hitting Luna. "What are those pony's up to?" Luna yelled to no one in particular. "It seems that I'll be looking forward to that letter from Twilight Sparkle I must tell my sister about this once I'm done here." Luna said as she flew into the cold night sky.
Chapter 6
The cold raindrops began to fall as the Pegasus flew on the rain started drenching her coat which was now turning Midnight Blue, Applejack was holding on as best as she could struggling to keep herself from slipping from Rainbows grip and she wasn't that thrilled considering Rainbow Dash wasn't paying any attention was muttering to herself and she was keeping her eyes down at the now open area where Zecora's hut stood. She somewhat managed to land even thought her wing was on the verge of breaking with the extra weight and so much stress been put on them already, she could see Twilight and Pinkie Pie, Pinkies mane straight down and both their eyes were filled with panic.
"Twilight, Pinkie Pie what's going on?" Rainbow Dash said her voice cracking as she dropped Applejack, she fell on her hoofs with a grunt "Hey watch it Rainbow!" she called "If you would have dropped me from up there I would have been flatter then a pancake!" Rainbow Dash pressed on and walked towards to the two mares struggling to hold her body upwards "What's going on you guys, did you find out anything about Fluttershy?" Rainbow Dash said looking from Twilight to Pinkie Pie "Listen Rainbow Dash Zecora has told us that she seen Fluttershy. Not far from here she said something about her being on the bridge where you learned about your Element Loyalty. "Well why the buck are we just sitting around here for!" Rainbow Dash flew up in the air despite her the fact that her wings stung every time she flapped she pressed onward again with the same thought in her head. "Please be alright.... Please be alright"
She was so still... she looked as though she could have been sleeping.
Rainbow Dash flew onward picking up speed as she whipped past the trees twigs and branch's scraping at her face and she hadn't realized how tired and hungry she was, that and the fact she had dried blood and tears all over herself along with her mane being matted. Rainbow found herself coming towards a small river and began to fly higher seeing a purple Sea Serpent with orange wavy hair look towards her and waved, his mustache had seemed to grow back. It was a good thing he waved to now Rainbow new where she was going and she was getting closer to her Fluttershy.
Fluttershy stood at the end of the bridge tears in her eyes her mane and fur matted and filled with twigs her long tail had mud from trailing along the dirt path as did her hoofs. She looked down the cliff side tears began to fall from her eyes all the life that used to be in them was gone just a empty shell.
Rainbow dash flew along in the distance she seen the yellow and pink mare and she nearly had a heart attack when she saw her sitting on the cliff "FLUTTERSHY!" Rainbow Dash screamed as she got even closer to the Pegasus. The only problem was Fluttershy wasn't paying attention and never heard what Rainbow Dash had yelled.
All of a sudden, she jumped. A cold chill went from Rainbow Dash's spine a single tear ran down her and she stopped cold close to the edge of the cliff not able to see over the cliff. As she walked forward she prepared for the worst she looked below, she could see many large boulders, sharp rocks.... and Fluttershy. Rainbow gasped and bolt off the cliff towards Fluttershy panic took over she began to breath heavily and lifted her up to the top of the hill as she reached the top she felt her muscle give way and one of her wings crack and pop out of its socket. "ARGGGHHHHH!" she screamed holding her wing and Fluttershy in the air, her other wing trying to hold both of them in the air until she fell flat on the ground Fluttershy in her arms.
Chapter 7
Sobbing in pain Rainbow Dash held onto Fluttershy as the rain began to pelt down towards them, her wings both unable to work tears ran down her face as she looked to Fluttershy blood was trickling down the sides of her face, bruises and cuts also littered the broken body. "Fluttershy?" Rainbow Dash stammered she stood there for what seemed like a hour until finally she heard something... a faint whisper. "R-r-rainbow... is that y-you?" Fluttershy said her words were very raspy and cold nothing like her soothing voice rainbow once new.
"yeah its me Fluttershy its you're old pal rainbow" Rainbow Dash smiled a single tear of joy fell down her cheek Fluttershy was going to be ok but she had to get her help and soon. "R-rainbow what are you doing here...I" Fluttershy said as she looked towards her old friend. "Fluttershy you're the one who should be telling me what you were thinking! Why did you run off?" "I just....its just when you started to talk about you liking other Mares I just thought that you might have liked someone else, we've known each other for so long I thought that you only thought of me as a friend." Fluttershy whimpered. "Fluttershy I was talking about you the whole time I told you that to find out if you liked Filly's.... I-I love you Fluttershy."
Fluttershy launched herself towards rainbow she shut her eyes tight, Rainbow Dash was shocked as the pony moved her face towards her, there lips met. Rainbow Dash could feel her lips pressed up against Fluttershy's the feeling was the best she had ever had, even better then the first time she pulled off her Sonic Rainboom. There lips finally pulled apart "I love you too Dashie" Fluttershy said beaming at her new Mare friend embracing her in a tight hug trying to keep her hands away from her wing which was twitching in pain. "g-g-guys?" Fluttershy said looking behind rainbows shoulder she seen Twilight, Pinkie Pie and Applejack. Smiles filled there faces as they looked towards the new couple. "You y-you guys are okay with this?" Fluttershy asked looking to Rainbow Dash and her friends Pinkie Pie was the first to speak. "Well DUH! you realize were going to have to have a HUGE PARTY to celebrate as SOON as we get back!?" Pinkie said bouncing around "well to be honest. its sure is different but if you guys are happy I sure as heck am too!" Applejack said looking to the two pony's a smile on her face. Twilight stepped forward looking at their wounds. "You guys I'm so happy for you but we really don't have time to talk we need to get you guys to the hospital right away, I can tell your wings are broken Rainbow and Fluttershy those gashes are going to be infected if we don't get you guys cleaned up. Twilight said looking to both her friends fear in her eyes. "Quickly Applejack put Rainbow Dash on your back. I'll carry Fluttershy lets get back to Ponyville and fast." Twilight said lifting Fluttershy onto her back.
Back at Ponyville hospital Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were both doing very well the nurses sewed together Fluttershy's gash and popped Rainbows wing back into place. The nurses were very shocked when the two pony's opened there doors hooves full of mud and blood covering themselves, Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy were put into the same room together and once they had the strength they began to talk, about there time together about there adventure and how sad there were they talked of the future and most important each other "huh" Rainbow said "If only I would have asked you out sooner, we would have never had to deal with going into the forest in the first place" Rainbow sighed looking towards her lover "yeah but then I wouldn't have gotten this really cool scar" Fluttershy said pointing to the scar on her back she had gotten from her fall. "Now we will be able to always remember the best day of our lives, I love you Dashie" "I love you too Fluttershy"
