With Spike and the girls, they were walking through the Everfree forest as Spike was walking in the middle of the crusaders as they stood close to him.

"I don't like this Spike, what if we bump into a Timber Wolf", Sweetie Belle said scared a looking around.

Spike smirked, "then I'll blast it away to make sure it doesn't hurt my girls", he said as they blushed with smiles.

Scootaloo asked with curiosity, "were are we going anyways Spike?"

"The dragon lands, i want to check it out", he said with a smirk as the girls stopped.

"The dragon lands, Spike they eat ponies", Scootaloo said as they stared at him with wide eyes.

Spike turned around, "but girls, when i saw it from Canterlot i wanted to check it out because it looked cool, and remember that i am Spike the brave and glorious", he said with a smirk and puffing his chest out.

"And don't worry, nothing will hurt you girls under my watch", he said walking over to them and giving them each a kiss.

They smiled with a blush, "ok Spike, we'll check it out with you", they said nuzzling him and staying close to him as they continue to walk.

After what felt like hours, they finally reached a rocky like area with lava pools and saw dragons of different sizes and colors, "wow, so this is the dragon lands", Spike said amazed at many dragons were there.

They hid behind a giant rock as dragons passed by without seeing them, "Spike, can we go now before they see us", Sweetie Belle asked in a scared voice.

"Yeah, i don't wanna be dinner for these lizards", Scootaloo said not feeling comfortable outside of Equestria without her sister.

They watched the dragons for 10 minutes and decided to leave, when they turned around they saw 3 dragons staring at them with their sharp teeth.

"Well well well, look what we have here boys a couple of trespassers", one of them said showing his teeth.

The girls and Spike back up scared thinking they are about to be eaten, "stay away from us", Spike said ready to defend himself and his fillyfriends.

"And it looks like we found dinner also", the 2nd one said with a toothy grin.

The three dragons closed in on them as Spike stood in front of his fillyfriends looking ready to fight and defend the girls.

The dragons tried to grab Spike, but he blasted them away saying, "run girls, I'll hold them off".

The Crusaders ran in the direction they came from, they stopped at the edge of the forest, "come on Spike", Scootaloo said turning to her coltfriend as he kept them at bay.

Spike stood there blocking the entrance to the forest as he blasted one of them that tried to grab him, "run girls, I'll catch up", he said as he flew around blasted them to make sure they go after him instead of his fillyfriends.

The stared at him for awhile a decided to run, Spike saw they were running and blasted one of them away as he landed and followed the girls.

"Get off my Clump", one of them said as he kicked him off.

"What the hell Garble", he said getting in the one named Garbles face.

They started arguing, as the 3rd one said, "hey did we order this dinner to go".

"No why", Clump said with a smile.

"Cause there it goes", he yelled pointing at Spike and his fillyfriends running in the distance of the forest, they flew and gave chace.

With Spike and his fillyfriends running for there lifes, "keep running girls", he said running behind them just in case.

He looked back and saw Garble getting closer and turned to blast him, but he dodged as it hit Clump causing him to fly into a tree as Garble looked at his fallen conrade.

Garble turned to Spike with a grin as he closed in on him, he slashed at him with his claws only for him to disappear as he was confused.

He turned and saw him running with his fillyfriends at a distance, he glared, "no dragon makes a fool out of Garble", he said chasing him.

Spike and the girls were getting tired as they ran through the forest, Spike looked back to see the three dragons closing in.

Spike stopped running and tried shooting bolts at them, but they dodged an glared at him.

Spike continue to run with his fillyfriends and smiled when he saw his mom and aunts old Castle, "girls, in the Castle", he said as he stopped and picked Apple Bloom up and used his magic to carry Sweetie Belle across the destroyed bridge as Scootaloo flew with him as ran into the Castle.

The three dragons saw were they were heading and grinned, "i will be like hunting, I always wanted to go hunting", Garble said grinning as they flew towards the destroyed Castle.

Spike and his fillyfriends were inside the Castle as they were trying to catch their breaths, "what are we gonna do", Sweetie Belle said scared.

Spike was pacing back and forth, then he got an idea, "follow me girls, and stay quiet", he whispered to them as they started sneaking around the Castle.

Garble and his goons were looking for them and checking room from room, "where are they, it's almost dinner time and i'm hungry", Clump said getting angry.

"Don't worry Clump, we'll find those little ponies", Garble said with a toothy grin as they looked for them.

After a while, "where are you ponies at", Garble yelled getting frustrated.

"Im over here you big horses ass, you better come get me before I tell my mom", they turned and saw Spike in a hallway with a smirk.

Spike blew a raspberry and ran as they gritted their teeth and chased him, they turned a corner and saw they had him trapped alone as Spike was still smirking at them.

With Spike and his fillyfriends sneaking towards the main door that leads outside, they slowly opened it but it creeked.

They froze to check if the dragons heard it, when nothing happened they snuck out and ran to the edge as Spike carried Apple Bloom and used his magic to carry Sweetie Belle to the other side as Scootaloo followed.

When they landed on the other side, they ran for it but got stopped when Garble and his goons appeared in front of them.

"You punie ponies think you can outsmart me, I'll eat you last so you can watch as these guys eat your little friends", Garble said as they close in on them.

The girls hid behind Spike in tears as Spike got ready to fight again with a glare, he shot a magic bolt at them but they dodged.

"Oh, that was it, ha do it again, come on", Garble said with a grin as his goons gave a dark chuckle.

Spike was gonna fire another magic bolt, when they were hit by a stronger one as they became confused.

They saw a white alicorn fly out of nowhere and started punching and kicking them with his hooves as they screamed in pain, the Crusaders hid behind Spike and watch in shock as the dragons were getting beat up by Prince Solaris.

The three dragons were underneath the alicorn and he glared death at them as they beg for mercy.

"Ok ok uncle uncle", Garble said scared as him and his goons shook in fear of a bigger pony thats way stronger then them.

"SILENCE!", Solaris yelled in the Royal Canterlot voice.

They flintch and started saying random things and apologizing in fear of the alicorn.

"If you ever come near my son again", Solaris said in a threatening voice.

Their eyes widen in fear not knowing Spike was his son, "oh this is your son, i didn't know that, did you", Garble said scared.

"No of course not", Clump said scared.

Solaris horn glowed as he was gonna finish them off, they flinch in fear and gave a sheepish smile.

"Tootles", Garble said scared as they flew away back to the dragon lands in fear.

Spike walked up to him, "dad I-you deliberately disobeyed me", Solaris said cutting him off in a stern disappointing voice of a father.

"Dad, I-I'm sorry", Spike said with his ear back as his fillyfriends looked down with him.

"Lets go home", he said walking towards Ponyville as Spike and his fillyfriends followed him with their heads down and knowing their in trouble.

"We thought you were very brave Spike", Scootaloo told her coltfriend.

It was dark and Spike and his fillyfriends got in trouble and grounded for a week, Discord was by himself looking over at a view of Ponyville with Spike on a grassy hill on the Apple family farm.

Spike was looking at Apple Bloom as she was walking home with her head down as Applejack was given her a disappointing stern look.

Apple Bloom looked back at him as Discord called in a stern voice that made Spike flinch, "Spike".

Spike looked at his father then walked towards him with his head and ears down the whole time, when he was next to him Spike sat with his head down and looking away.

Discord closed his eyes and looked at his son, "Spike, i am very disappointed in you", he said with a stern look.

"I know", Spike said looking down.

"You could've been killed, you deliberately disobeyed me, and what worse you put the crusaders in danger", Discord said with concern and disappointment.

"I was just trying to be brave like you", Spike said feel tears in his eyes and looking up at him.

"I'm only brave when i have to be, Spike...being brave doesn't mean you go looking for trouble", his father said in a more calmer voice.

"But your Discord the lord of chaos, your not scared of anything", Spike said in a calm voice.

"I was today", his father said looking away.

"You were", Spike asked confused.

"Yes..I thought I might lose you", Discord said lowering himself to Spikes level.

"Oh, I guess even a Prince can get scared huh", the colt said with a small chuckle as his father nodded.

"But you know what", he whispered with a small smile.

"What", his dad asked with a smile.

"I bet those dragons were even scareder", Spike said as Discord started chuckling.

"Cause no pony messes with you dad..come here you", his father said as he grabbed Spike in a surprised headlock and gave him a noogie chuckling.

"Oh no..no..ah..err", Spike said through grit teeth as he tried to get out of it, when he did he tackled his dad on his back as Discord laughed and ran with his son chasing him.

Discord stopped and Spike tackled him to the ground as they laughed, Spike was pulling his ear with his teeth as Discord rolled on his back.

Discord was on his back holding Spike as they had smiles, "dad, were pals right", Spike said smiling.

Discord chuckled, "right".

"And me you Fluttershy and mom will always be together right", Spike said with a smile.

Discord nodded smiling, "Spike, please don't do that again because me your sister and mother would hate to lose you", he said with a frown.

Spike frowned laying on his dad, "i'm sorry dad, I won't do it again", he said hugging him as Discord hugged back.

Discord got up putting Spike down, "and just because I aint disappointed in you, doesn't mean your not still grounded", he said with a smirk as Spike gave a angry pout.

Discord laughed, "come on, lets head back to Twilights Castle", he said using his mitched matched wings to fly to the Castle as Spike followed him.
