Twilight Sparkle feels left out she makes a wish on a star to find a pony who understands magic the way she does. The next day a stallion named Starsong comes to her libarary looking for a book on magic, Twilight becomes quickly intrested. Twilight finds out that Starsong is trying to make his illusions come to life. Sharing the same passion in magic, Twilight helps.

Not long after, ponies start to go missing in Ponyville. Including Starsong. When all of Ponyville blames Twilight Sparkle and her friends they must leave their home in exile in order to stop the disapperances and save Equstria. With fatal challenges ahead, the friends must ban together and fight, but at what cost?
