The Creature.
Chapter 1: Rude Awakening.
He awoke suddenly from a deep slumber recalling little of the events that had come to pass. "How did I get here this isn't the hospital...?" He thought. He took in that he was in a forest. He got up gingerly but he found that he was no longer in his weak state as before, he had recovered but more then that he was stronger then ever before! He stretched his wings and flapped them with great power and strength. He was better then ever. "But how had this happened...? I was on my death bed..." At that moment he caught a glance of his wing... "What the..." He pulled his wing toward his face to get a better look and what he saw disgusted him. His wing was made up of all kinds of bits and pieces of other ponies wings... "WHAT THE HAY DOES THIS MEAN" He cried to nopony. To his horror he found that not only his wings were made of this sick patch work but his entire body was made up of this quilt of skin... He fell to the ground with defeat and he thought of so many questions that he couldn't answer... He realized he had been sitting there for a while because the the sky turned to twilight and he knew he needed to put his thoughts away for the moment and find a proper place to lay his head.
As he looked around him he thought to himself "I know where I am, I have to be in the Everfree Forest." "There's no other forest any where near Still Water Hospital “ He paused momentarily and took in his surroundings and he heard running water near by. “I should follow this steam it should lead me out of here” He thought. As he neared the torrent suddenly he became aware that he was quite thirsty... As he bent down to get water he notice something he didn't before... “What the...” “How did I get this horn?”... He forgot about his thirst while he became more and more confused... After sitting for a while pondering what had happened he decided to finally get a drink and carry on. As he finished gulping down some water he decided to move along with the current of the water. The sun finally set and he was still walking not feeling sleepy since he had so much rest and he was a bit of a night owl to start with. He walked on for a while until the moon was a just the right angle for him to see through part of the tree canopy. His thoughts turned to Luna and Celestia. “What if I'm like them” He said “I look just like them... Well almost...” Slightly disheartened at the remembrance of his appearance but he remember how he had his strength back and that should be enough for now. He decided that it was time to start considering where he may sleep, then he ventured down stream a little longer looking for some kind of clearing when he saw a dim glowing from the other side of the river. He flew over the river and gently landed back to the ground without a sound. Slowly he crept up toward the light that just peaked out from the little cracks in the dense forest brush. He poked his head slowly through the brush as to make little sound and call no attention to himself. What lay before him was a small wooden shack. The light was cast from a small window that was at eye level for him. “This hast to be Zeccora's house!” He thought excitedly (She had brought all sorts of medicines and remedies to the hospital.) “She was always nice to everypony she saw surely she would take me in.” As he pushed his head further out he spread the brush with his wings and walked cautiously to the door hoping not scare her. He sat at the door thinking of what to say and how to make himself look less ghoulish, but nothing seemed right to and it was getting later and he couldn't be sure that she would be awake much longer so he gently knocked on the door with one of his front hooves. At that moment there was the sound of hoovesteps coming to the door and a call …
