You continue on the next evening at your post, disappointed that Princess Luna seemed displeased with you the day prior. When Princess Luna comes to her chambers that night, she doesn’t make eye contact, nor speak with you, nor acknowledge your presence in any way. The same happens the next night. Then the next.

A week later you receive a letter from the royal guard captain transferring you to the front hall. It is the most prestigious post in the castle and comes along with a pay raise and possible promotion, but moving away from Princess Luna breaks your heart.

Even more so because you can’t shake the feeling that she arranged your transfer.
