Anti rainboom- part one: this is my story and your welcome to read it!

The sonic rainboom is a phenomenon that is known to most of Equestria. Only performed by Rainbow Dash, Equestria’s fastest flier, the event is said to spark miracles! The last sonic rainboom we saw was one performed for a wedding and ponies everywhere are beginning to wonder; is she the only one who can make a sonic rainboom??? well, my friends, I’m going to Ponyville, the home of this legendary pony, to try and answer that myself! Although, I must admit, if I am able to achieve the phenomena, it probably won’t look anything like a rainbow colored rainboom!

My name is Shadow Zipper. And I have dark fur and a jet black mane that is grease back. My cutie mark looks like three blue wings that are attached to a golden circle! I got it when i first started to fly. I was one of the first ones to get my cutie mark in my class! It means I'm a great flyer!

For the past few years now, I’ve been practicing this stunt and I’ve come close to achieving my goal. All I need now is a little incentive and I think I can… no, I know I can pull it off! I arrive at the town after my long journey and boy were my wings tired! No, no… all joking aside, I landed on the ground and scanned the area for this rainbow manned mare. I hoped she would be the first pony I would meet but instead I ended up meeting a pink filly!

“Hi there!” she said to me as I entered the city. Her hair resembled cotton candy in a way.

“Hello. What’s your name?” i asked curiously.

“You go first!”

“Oh, no, I insist, after you!”

“No, no, no, after YOU!”

This carried on for way too long. Finally I admitted defeat and introduced myself first.

“My name is Shadow Zipper.”

“I’m Pinkie Pie! Nice to meet you Zip. Do you mind if I call you Zip?”

“Well why not!”

“Say, do you like to party? I love to party, I think you would like to party to! You wanna party?”

I could tell this mare liked to party! I accepted and asked if she knew a pony name… well I didn’t actually get to ask her because she hopped off shortly after I accepted. She told me to show up at the library after I got acquainted with the other ponies here. I walked around for a bit taking in the sights. while exploring their establishments, I ran into a very stylish pony in a boutique! I had come in wondering what the place was and the girl there claimed she had never seen me in the town before.

“I’ve never seen you in town before” she said with a smile.

I introduced myself and asked what kind of a store she was running.

“This is the Carousel Boutique" she began. "the finest and most stylish clothing and dress establishment in all of Ponyville and I'm Rarity! You can get a custom made suit or tux, whichever one you prefer, or a dress for that special some pony of yours.”

“Oh, I don’t have a special some pony" i said with a blush. "But I'm looking for a specific pony. You may know her. Her name is Rainbow Dash. She’s the one who performed the sonic rainboom.”

“Oh… R- Rainbow Dash… I thought I might have a customer. Oh well… yes. I suppose I do know her. And she did perform the sonic rainboom, a few times now to be exact. In fact, she saved my life by doing it. It’s a miracle of epic proportions to see one.”

“Do you know where I might find her?”

“Well… no actually. My best guess, however is that she could be at Fluttershy’s cottage. She’s a Pegasus as well, though she isn't the best flier around but she is one of Rainbow Dash’s oldest friends.”

“Thank you. You’ve been a wonderful help" i said. Feeling that the information I received from Rarity was worth something, i decided to give her a little something for her trouble.

I pulled into my bag to give her some bits.

“Oh my goodness… fifty bits? Just for helping you find Rainbow Dash" she asked with astonishment in her eyes.

“Well of course, you’ve been most helpful, and generous. I really appreciate it.”

As I exited the store, I could hear her saying “Thank you Shadow and don't be a stranger. Stop by my store anytime you like!

I headed for the cottage I saw upon arrival. It was at the edge of town. I had seen little critters all around it. As I strut up to the quaint and cozy looking house, I notice a dazzlingly cute pony feeding the birds next to a nearby tree. With any luck, that was definitely Fluttershy! I decided to walk up to her and introduce myself. I usually get a nice first greeting with ponies, but every once in a while, this happens.

“Hello, my name is” I couldn’t even get my name out without her screaming in panic and hiding behind the Tree due to fear!

“Wait! Don’t hide.” She gave no response.

“Please, I didn’t mean to scare you" i continued. "I thought you could help me with finding a friend of mine!”

She poked her little head out far enough to glance at me.

“Her name is Rainbow Dash” I said.

“You know Rainbow Dash?”

Such a lovely little voice she had. I thought she was the cutest mare I had ever seen.

“Not exactly. I’m searching for her. I was hoping to meet her. Can you help, maybe?”

She inched ever so slowly away from the tree and I walked up to her to meet her face to face. Light pink mane and butter yellow fur was a nice combination for her.

“My name is Shadow Zipper" I said smiling. "I’ve heard of this Rainbow Dash almost everywhere I’ve been to. You must be her good friend Fluttershy.”

Upon admitting the fact that I knew her name, she became puzzled at how I knew who she was. I told her that Rarity had sent me here to see if she knew where Rainbow Dash was.

“Well… I haven’t seen Rainbow Dash at all today, but you’re welcome to stay here with me for now. I’m sure she’ll show eventually.”

I enjoyed my time with this mare, and learned what she was like. She enjoyed feeding and caring for the animals. She preferred to stay on the ground rather than flying. I waited for an hour or so and no sign of Rainbow Dash. I hadn’t intended to stay that long, but I got so caught up with being friends with Fluttershy that time seemed to fly. I bid the young Pegasus farewell and proceeded to search Ponyville once more.

I found myself in an apple orchard. Apple trees everywhere! If it wasn’t for the fact that they didn’t belong to me, I would have eaten one or two. As I continued on my merry path, I heard a distant thump! I waited… Thump!

“What is that” I asked myself. As I got closer to the sound, the more curious I became until I came upon an orange furred mare that was bucking the apple trees.

“Oh, so that was you making that noise" I said as I walked up to her.

“Yep! gotta get these apples down somehow, you know?”

“Quite. My name is” I was interrupted by her thumping.

“What was that" she asked sarcastically.

“My name is” once again, thump!

“I’ll wait till you’re done…”

Thump

“Ok, now what was your name again" she asked kindly.

“My name is”

Thump!

“Oh, now you did that on purpose" I stated.

She giggled and smiled kindly at me. I knew she was just fooling around, and it was kind of fun to be honest.

“Shadow… My name is Shadow Zipper” I said.

“Well nice to meet you zip, mind if I”

I cut her off. “It wouldn’t be the first time some nice pony called me by that name.”

“My names Applejack.” she said this with the sweetest voice.

I was quite fond of her; she was a country farmer with an honest attitude. Her hair was kept in a blonde braid. She had the smile that could melt any stallion’s heart and her freckles were like adding sweet to pretty.

“Say, I’m going to this party" I stated. "And I was wondering, once you finish up here, would you like to join me?”

“Wait; is it one of Pinkies parties" she asked.

“Why, yes, how did you know?”

“She invited me a little while ago. I’ll definitely come, but I still got a few more apple trees to buck, so I’ll see you there, ok?”

“Sounds like a date.”

“Whoa there partner" she said. "don’t count your chickens before they hatch!”

“If I may say, you have the cutest country accent!”

She began to blush and said “oh… you.”

“See you there, Applejack.”

“Ok then, bye for now.”

I proceeded to the location of the party. It was in the Ponyville library as I recall Pinkie saying. If I’m not mistaken, I passed by the place on my way to Fluttershy’s cottage. As I was about to turn the corner, I ran right into a pony with a purple mane. We ran right into each other and stumbled to the floor. Her books fell out of her bags and I proceeded to help her pick them up apologizing many times.

“It’s ok; I wasn’t watching where I was going. It was my fault.”

After we got all of her supplies picked up, I introduced myself to her.

“It’s very nice to meet you" she said. "I’m Twilight Sparkle. Where were you headed anyways?”

“I was going to a party in the local library.”

“A Library… Wait, is the pony who’s throwing it named Pinkie Pie?”

“Yes. Do you know her" I asked.

“Yep, but, as usual, she decided to throw a party at my home without even asking me if it’s ok!”

“Well, would you like to come with me and join the festivities? I know she didn’t ask but she couldn’t have done much damage, right?"

“You’d be surprised.”

Of course, by then, I had forgotten all about Rainbow Dash, but I would meet her soon enough. Right now, all I felt like doing was having a good time.
