Chapter 8: Hawk Anderson

Previous Chapter Next Chapter

Hungry Hawk, Bird of Prey, Hunter, poacher, assassin, emotionless bastard, and many more. Those were just a few of the names related to the man with the name Hawk Anderson. Out of those directly under my command, he was the most collected and calm, not including me of course, although as mentioned in one of the names he gets called, he has apparently no emotions, some say that he just has a mask on his face and hides his true emotions, but I know better. He really does not feel anything, but I think that he does feel emotions, but really rarely.

Now, about how I met him. It was at the start of the war, we were winning, but was getting a little annoying, since their general was being stubborn and fixed on giving us a hard time winning. Something surprising happened though, all the important people in the enemy lines suddenly got their heads blown cleanly off, forcing the enemy to surrender faster than expected. After the fight was over, the one responsible for that came forward, presented himself as Hawk Anderson and calmly asked to join us. The look in his eyes, that reminded me of the eyes of a bird of prey, made me accept his offer on the spot. And as expected, he proved to be quite useful. Although there were certain incidents, but that is besides he point.

I learned about him more later on, whenever I had time. Apparently he was a hunter, and used to live deep in a forest and came out once a month to sell materials and buy necessities. He was also known for being able to sit still without moving for weeks on end, along with him having an inhuman accuracy made him the perfect sniper.

I did not interact with him much, he was a really professional man, without interacting with anyone at all, unless I asked for him to come, when needing to relay me information or when being tasked with missions and asking questions related to them. Because of that, I didn't interact much with him, he just did his job, no questions asked. I didn't mind it, was quite pleasant. I know his type. The ones who care more about winning and surviving than anything else, so I don't have to worry about him. Besides, everything always goes exactly as I want it to.

From what I heard, when I disappeared he just went back to his life before the war. A hunter will always be a hunter, no matter the prey, from beasts to men, everything's the same in his eyes. In the eyes of the Hawk.

Author's Notes:

Really short, I know, and apologize for it. But I figured it'd be better to just put this up since it's kind of important to the story.

Sanya Ezhil

Sanya. I've found the little guy in an apartment surrounded by pizza boxes and soda bottles which covered the entirety of the floor. He was sitting at his computer working on some sketches for what would end up being the worlds' first mecha. He was what you could call a NEET, and still is, so when I took him in he was really happy to do his things while I had my servants give him food and whatever he asked. And for some reason he was thinking of me as his big brother... I don't really know why he started that, but that isn't really important.

Soon after, I've convinced him to actually start working on building the mechas he kept designing. And guess what? He succeeded not long after he started the project. With me providing him with materials and other engineers to help with his projects. Soon enough, his mechas became used by most if not all of my troops in the war.

His obsession with video games did not stop at all, and whenever he didn't update the design of a mecha, he was sitting closed up in his room and playing games day and night. His NEET behaviors never actually stopping, from time to time seeing those habits appear from time to time.

I do remember that time when he met Fenrir. He was hiding behind me staring at Fenrir, while he was growling and making holes in the ground and walls out of anger. That is until I smacked both of them over the head and made them actually talk with each other. Later I found Fenrir jumping and smashing into walls and the floor following a lazer Sanya was point in random directions. It was quite entertaining to watch.

Then there was that time Sanya met Hawk. They had a staring contest. They looked like they were about to stare a hole inside the others head. Then they nodded to each other and went back to doing what they were doing before, Hawk going back to cleaning his weapons and Sanya jumping on my back.

When I've disappeared he did the most normal thing for him. That being locking himself back in his room and living there... Can't say I didn't expect that.

Author's Notes:

Again, short, and it takes too long for me to upload. I know, and the reason is that I am currently stuck in a seemingly permanent writer's block. Well hope you can bear with it for now. Have a nice day.
