A few minutes had passed afterwards, Nick sitting in a chair with most of his top clothes off and sitting on the floor. “How did you even get this wounds darling?” Rarity asked Nick.

“Well...I had a run in with one Erebus’s monsters…” Nick said chuckling as he rubbed his chin, bandages around his chest and his leg sat up, Twilight’s magic holding his foot and ankle and slowly healing it.

“Well what kind of monster was it this time?” Spike asked him, Nick replying with. “A mutated dragon…”

The room fell silent, as Nick nodded. “Yeah, but I managed to drive it away...or more like it flew away. But, this...Starlight Glimmer character? What do you mean former enemy?” Nick asked raising an eyebrow.

Pinkie Pie piped up, “oh! Starlight enslaved an entire village of ponies and took away their cutie marks to make them all equal! And just now apparently she traveled through time to stop us from coming together!”

Nick blinked looking at Starlight, the mare looking back at him. “Pinkie Pie…” She said softly.

Nick’s eye twitched slightly, “y-you...you fucked with the timeline?” He asked, see Nick back on earth was a major comic nerd. Reading up on Marvel and DC events. Including Flashpoint, “yes she did actually! It was rather fascinating but...terrifying…”

“Yeah ok, fascinating. WHEN WE’RE ALL FUCKING DEAD! JESUS CHRIST THE TIME STREAM IS A VERY FUCKING FRAGILE LIVING BEING! EVERY TIME YOU FUCK WITH THE PAST YOU INJURY SAID CREATURE! AND IMAGINE BEING ABLE TO DO IT REPEATEDLY!? YOU’D KILL THE DAMN THING!” Nick flipped as Starlight took a step back from his rage.

Taking a deep breath Nick calmed down, “I’m sorry. Just, my inner nerd was screaming at me to flip…” He said taking steady breaths.

“You shouldn’t overexert yourself Nick...what will Eris sa-” Fluttershy was cut off as the draconequus popped into the room. “What will Eris say?” Eris asked raising an eyebrow.

“O-oh! Eris! I didn’t expect you to be here so soon!” Nick said his face flushing a deep red, the Chaos Goddess looked down at him with an unmoving look of disappointment on her face.

“You were late to our hang out today…” She said, Nick rubbing the back of his head. “Well uh...something kinda popped up that needed my full attention…” He said nervously giving a nervous chuckle and looking at the others.

Fluttershy spoke up, “oh Eris. You know Nick wouldn’t miss one of your days together.” The mare spoke as she smiled softly.

Eris narrowed her eyes pouting a bit at Nick and putting her nose against his, “oh alright I’ll let it slide...considering you are hurt and in no condition to for a bit of tomfoolery…”

Nick snorted slightly looking back in her eyes, “did you SERIOUSLY say tomfoolery?” Nick asked giggling a bit to himself.

Eris’s cheeks turning a soft red before she pulled her head away, “oh shut up Nick…now! If you’ll excuse me I have...important chaos things to get to!” Eris said ready to snap her talons before Nick stopped her.

“Important chaos things or thinking about our ‘hangout’ tomorrow?” Nick asked raising an eyebrow, the draconequus blushing even deeper before simply disappearing.

The group of ponies aside from Fluttershy was dumbfounded by this, “N-Nick and Eris are bumping hooves..?” Rainbow Dash asked, tears swelling in her eyes as she bit her bottom lip. A small laugh coming from her as she held it in.

“Well, I wouldn’t really consider it bumping hooves or whatever...I’d say we’re getting there but-” Nick was cut off by Starlight who he had noticed had been examining his Omnitrix wrist. “What an intriguing device…” She said rubbing a hoof against her chin.

“Well Starlight! It’s the Omnitrix!” Twilight stated before Nick could even say anything, “created by Azmuth! First Thinker of an alien race known as the Galvan! That device allows Nick to transform into different alien species!”

Nick blinked looking at Twilight before chuckling, “yeah...thanks..?”

Rubbing his eyes he sighed softly, “how long am I gonna need to stay with that spell on anyway?” He asked looking down at Twilight who was still focusing her magic into his ankle.

“Well...it should be all better in a few more minutes! So keep chatting!” Twilight said happy that both of her new friends could converse, Nick and Starlight looked at each other.

The others talking amongst themselves, “soooo...enslaved a whole village huh?” Nick asked as the mare nodded.

“Any justification as to why?” He pushed the subject further, the mare nodding again. “An old friend kind of went away due to a talent he had acquired and well...pain is what made me think my actions were justified…”

“Huh...I understand, well hey. The past is the past, as long as you don’t fuck with it!” Nick said in a half joking manner, Starlight giving a slight nervous chuckle at his remark.

“So I’m assuming since Twilight is awesome she helped you see the errors of your ways and reformed?” Nick asked raising an eyebrow.

Starlight nodded as Nick shook his head, ‘why is it always the god villains?’ He asked in his mind before smiling at her. “Well, I’d hope to get acquainted with you at some point.” Nick said, Starlight smiling at him.

“Alright that’d be nice…” She said as Nick nodded. “Well you two can get acquainted now!” Twilight said, Nick wincing. “AH FUCK! That hurt!” He shouted hearing a snap in his ankle before moving it around.

“Don’t move it to much Nick, you should be able to walk though..” She said as she examined it, “and about my ribs?” He asked raising an eyebrow and sliding off of the chair.

“Those need to heal naturally,” She said smiling at him as Nick held his chest. “Great...alright Starlight c'mon…” Nick said as he shakily pulled on his shirt and jacket.

Starlight Glimmer looked at Nick and nodded, before nudging Twilight. “I-is this really a good idea..?” She asked nervously.

“Of course! This can be a great start for you, a new unique friend!” She replied smiling at her.

Starlight sighed and rubbed her mane, “I suppose…alright Nick c’mon.” She said as Nick nodded, “yep.” He said standing up and taking a breath.

Nick sat at a table with Starlight in Sugarcube Corner, Pinkie happily serving them as Nick sucked on the straw of his milkshake. “Sooooooo…”

“So what happened to you? How did you get here?” Starlight asked rather nonchalantly, Nick raised an eyebrow before taking a breath.

“Well, I went to a comic convention with some friends and bought the Omnitrix from a creepy merchant. In which case I won’t ever regret it again, because it brung me here…” He said smiling.

Starlight nodded, “right right...what about your life before going to that convention?” She asked, Nick’s brow furrowed as he took a heavy breath.

“Well, my life before coming here was kind of shit. Actually, attending that convention was the idea of my friends to help brighten my day.”

Starlight rubbed a hoof against her chin, “care to elaborate?” She asked as Nick took a look into her eyes, narrowing his own the same coldness he gave the Timber Wolf before killing it flashing in his eyes before he spoke up. “Sure.”

“From Middle School to High School, I was a complete emotional wreck. To me nothing was going right, I had two parents that just wanted the best from me. Even if their approaches kind of went back and forth with what was right and what was wrong…” Nick pushed his milkshake away rubbing his nose. “To be honest, I can only remember a few selective things from my early childhood. Hell I even forgot my birthday and had to ask what it was, probably me being a dumbass though.”

Starlight listened closely leaning forward as Nick sighed, “that’s well...when I met a really close friend named Jewel who frankly had as many problems as I did just approached them the wrong way.”

Nick adjusted himself a bit before looking at Starlight, “see how I approached my problems and learned to cope was making other people happy and always being the wise cracker. You know? The guy someone can look to for help. I pushed down the emotions I had for any type of topic and allowed myself to let them out in small bursts.”

“Which I’m assuming only helped for a certain time?” She asked him, the human simply nodding.

“See I can take a blow, I’ve developed a tough skin. It’s the people that I’ve already let inside that are really the ones that can hurt me...and well, when I let Jewel in? Probably the biggest naive mistake I could’ve made.” He said as he lowered his head.

“Why would that be? I thought you two were having the same problems just taking different approaches!” The mare spoke as Nick rubbed the bridge of his nose.

“That was the thing...I eventually learned from a good friend of mine Raven that, you can’t save them all. Where I was able to pull myself away from my problems and eventually overcome them with the help of amazing friends, Jewel couldn’t. She kept herself in the dark and essentially lied to me about how she felt about our friendship…”

Nick’s chest began to rise up and shakily descend from a mix of pain and the grief of remembering the betrayal. “I know she didn’t intend for it to hurt me that bad, but it did...I let her in and she might as well have stabbed me in the gut with what happened...and I don’t feel like elaborating any further…”

Starlight blinked looking at him before scooting close and nuzzling his side, “well hey...you’ve got great friends here Nick...we both have a lot to learn about trust don’t we..?” Starlight asked him before Nick chuckled and rubbed her mane. “Yeah...I suppose so...so more on this Sunburst character?” He asked flipping the subject. Starlight chuckling nervously before sighing, “well...me and Sunburst were best friends as fillies…were as I was still getting a grip on magic he might as well have been a master..”

Nick raised an eyebrow but stayed silent, “it didn’t take long for him to get his Cutie Mark which lead to him leaving our home village to pursue his goals more...eventually going to Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns well...it left me alone...in which case ambition began to swell up inside me and I thought, without Cutie Marks! If everyone was equal-”

“No one else would have to suffer the lose of a friend exceeding them in something? I get where you were coming from.” Nick said as he wrapped an arm around her pulling the mare close. “While it may have come off as villainous I understand your reasoning. Well, like you said I guess we’ve both got a thing or two to learn from the Princess of Friendship right?” Nick asked laughing a bit his light heartedness returning.

Starlight gave a sheepish smile, “yeah but do you think the others will REALLY trust me..?”

“Starlight. I’m a human from another dimension with the most powerful device in this universe. Who also appeared as a wolf man, they’ll trust you.” He said giving her a reassuring smile.

Starlight smiled back at him before nuzzling into his side again and closing her eyes in the warmth of Nick’s embrace.

Eris watching all of this however...her face scrunched and her brow furrowed. She had been watching Nick and Starlight the whole time and she was none too pleased with this. “I see how it is Ms. Glimmer...let the games begin…” She growled slightly sinking into the shadows in which she stalked.

Nick shivering slightly, ‘I have a horrible feeling something is going to go wrong tomorrow…’ He thought to himself gulping slightly.

Oh boy, Eris is jealous...this can't end well. Also chapter has been slowed down due to you know, school and now my wisdom teeth are about to be pulled. So...yeah...god help me...
