“So you want an in depth back story as to the creation of all Omnitrixes or just this one in particular?” Nick asked Twilight, the Alicorn was sitting on her haunches, Eris floating back and forth through the room as Spike stood beside Twilight.

“There’s more than one?” Twilight asked a small spark of interest in her eyes that eventually evolved into a determined fire, Nick nodded he could already feel this was gonna be long.

“Let’s start from the prototype up, the original Omnitrix was created by Azmuth of the Galavan, essentially a hyper intelligent species of tiny grey aliens. Azmuth is the smartest being in three galaxies, well arguably five. He originally created the prototype to bring the beings of the universe closest to each other, due to its ability to transform the wearer into any other species I suppose he wanted the wearer to experience what another species experienced.” Nick began to explain as he rubbed his chin feeling the stubble starting to grow.

Twilight had been looking down at her notepad writing all of this down at a rather impressive speed, “continue.” She said as she looked up smiling widely.

“However, an evil being known as Vilgax has been after the Omnitrix for years. Which he is the reason the wearer of the Omnitrix Ben Tennyson better known as Ben 10 discovered it when he was 10 years old, after Vilgax blew up a ship the Omnitrix landed on earth in a drop pod and well. He used it to save the world multiple times.”

“At 10 years old? He was a filly and was out saving the world?” She asked amazed, Nick nodding. “Well the universe in general. Sorta a normal thing for him but anyway, the original Omnitrix only had ten transformations which increased over time. Now I believe over a million DNA samples are in this one, but only like maybe 100 have been shown.” Nick said giving a rough estimate.

“Eventually the prototype recalibrated itself and fixed a common problem with it which was Mistransformations, I had the same problem before Jason told me I just had to simply push it down not slam it down. Not gonna stop me from slamming it down occasionally but you know.”

Twilight just kept writing following every word Nick said as the human chuckled softly, “so this device could potentially scan me?” Eris asked hovering upside down in front of Nick’s face.

“Already did Eris. But don’t get your hopes up for repopulating your species, I don’t role that way…not saying I’m gay I’m just saying my junk is firmly locked away in my pants.” Nick said rather quickly, a yellow beam hovering over Spike. “See this is the scanning process, I didn’t get Dragon DNA the fuck Omnitrix..? Kinda late to the party.” He grumbled softly rubbing his hair.

“So you could turn into a dragon?” Spike asked him looking up at Nick, “I’d prefer not to but I will demonstrate my Draconequus form.” Nick said as he clicked the faceplate of his watch, scrolling through the holographic interface.

Eris watching intrigued her eyes firmly locked on his, Nick clicked the faceplate one last time as he then pushed down on the dial, a dark green beard extending from his chin, his body parts changing and mimicking Eris’s. The Omnitrix logo appearing on the right side of his chest almost covere by his lime green fur. His lime green furry head popping out as he flexed his talons.

Eris’s eyes widened, she had NEVER seen a male Draconequus before. “Why are you giving me Goo Goo eyes?” He asked raising an eyebrow, Eris coughed slightly Spike chuckling softly as Twilight examined Nick.

Nick shook his head as he snapped his fingers, a Icy appearing in front of him as he lowered himself reverting to his human form with the cool drink still in his hands, “Equestria probably has Icy’s but they’ll never make them like humans do.” He said taking a sip of it as he smiled, “anyway. After the recalibrations the original Omnitrix was destroyed in a last ditch attempt to stop Vilgax, so Ben now older and more experienced took the Ultimatrix from a Galvan named Albedo who was evil by the way.”

“Ultimatrix?” Twilight asked looking up from her notes, “ok here lemme just give you a rundown of it real quick. The Ultimatrix acts and has the same properties of the Omnitrix, except it has a feature called the Ultimate Feature, it takes the DNA of the selected alien and basically puts it in a quick simulation I believe, it simulates a none stop warzone for essentially millions of years and the selected species would evolve as to cope with it. So imagine an Ultimate Alicorn, stronger and better than the original however having a few drawbacks.”

“Incredible...I never believed that devices like this would ever even exist...I was honestly surprised when I first saw you transform it debunked so many things I believed was impossible!” The alicorn stated.

Nick smiled softly and rubbed her mane, “yeah I know, which leaves us with the Omnitrix I and Ben share. This is the finished product of the prototype Azmuth made all those years ago, having fixed all the problems of the original, having voice recognition in case someone else wore it, the Life Form Lock which genetically locks me into a form with no chance of a timeout, and many other amazing features. Along with in my opinion looking sleeker and cooler than the original and previous incarnations.”

Twilight finished down the last few words as she looked at Nick intently, “I’d love to examine the Omnitrix! It would be very beneficial to my research!” She said smiling widely, “I suppose as long as you don’t attempt to dismantle or hack it.”

Twilight took a disappointed sigh, “I suppose it’s better than nothing…”

Eris shivered slightly, her whole body shaking as Nick looked at her with an raised eyebrow. “What’s wrong with you?”

“I felt a powerful surge of magic…” Eris said as she looked around a bit nervous, Nick narrowed his eyes slightly. He felt as if she was lying, for absolutely no reason.

Nick rubbed his chin as he took a deep breath, standing up he motioned for Eris. “Eris, walk with me. We need to have a talk one on one.”

The Draconequus gave Nick a quizzical look, as he made his way for the door. “Will you be back for the examination?” Twilight asked him, Nick simply nodded.

Nick opened the door to the castle and exited, Eris following behind him as he closed the door. “Sooooooo what did you wanna talk about?” She asked him now hovering above him.

“Many things actually, let’s start with one small. You care for Fluttershy a lot?” Nick asked as he raised an eyebrow, putting his hands in his jacket pockets.

“Who wouldn’t care for Fluttershy? She was the only pony who did not judge me by my past actions and gave me a second chance!” Eris said, Nick chuckled softly.

“Is that so? Well then, isn’t that something. What exactly did you do?” Nick asked, “I ruled over Equestria with Chaos until being trapped in stone. In which case many years later I was released yet again and decided to finish what I started and put Ponyville into absolute chaos and nonsense until I was defeated again by Twilight Sparkle and the others.” Eris explained looking to the side rubbing the back of her head.

“Damn,” Nick said as he took a deep breath, moving one hand up he rubbed his hair. Eris snorted slightly, “yeah damn. However I wasn’t finished, after being showed the error of my ways by Twilight and her friends mainly Fluttershy I turned over a new life...but…”

“Evil is tempting and you betrayed them? I knew something felt off about you when we first met in the garden.” Nick sighed softly, “well Eris see here’s the thing. The past is the past, you cannot change that but it’s what you do now in the present that really matters the most. As my dad used to say before he passed away and came here, ‘Your bed. You can either sleep in it. Or make it up.’ What he meant by that was we all have problems, and we can either sit there and do nothing.” He then paused as he made eye contact with Eris, “or we can do our best to fix them…” She finished for him.

“I just don’t know Nick…” She said, she was actually opening up to him. “I don’t want to be seduced by evil again but it’s harder to break than fall back into…”

“Believe me I know what it’s like to be obsessed with something, you just can’t allow the past to haunt you forever. I learned that the hard way and well I finally got rid of that thing and while I felt off at first without it...I adjusted and realized I was better off without it, that my own obsessions and insecurities were holding me back. That is what evil is like for you Eris, it is going to try to haunt you forever but you cannot allow it back in. Don’t fall down the same path, because another thing my father said before he passed away. You must overcome your inner twists and you’ll be glad you overcame and resisted. Because if you can’t overcome them, then you cannot grow stronger..."
Eris looked at Nick allowing the words to sink in, an awkward silence forming among the two, the only sounds audible were Nick’s shoes crunching against the ground and the sounds of ponies daily lives.

Eris finally spoke, “your father sounded like a wise man…”

Nick smiled softly, “yea. He really was, he was awesome. Cracking jokes all the time...doing his best to understand what I went through growing up…” Nick looked at his wrist, a slight tear shedding down the side of his face. “I feel he’d be proud of the man I grew up to be…”

Eris noticed the small tear on his cheek, leaning forward she used a talon to wipe it away. “I believe he would Nick. I believe he would.”

He looked at her and smiled softly, “but enough about me...you wanna go grab some Ice Cream or something? Maybe relax from all this crazy shit?” Nick asked her, she rubbed a talon against her chin. “Sure and Nick?”

“Yeah?” Nick then felt her warm arms wrap around him. Her chest pressing against his as she held him close, Nick was taken aback at first. But smiled softly, wrapping his arms around her hugging her back. “Thank you…”

Nick smiled as he closed his eyes, a smile on his face as he rubbed her back. “It’s alright. I’m always here to listen or do my best to help you Eris...we may not have gotten off on the right foot when we started with you stalking me...but I understand. I’m here for you.”

The Draconequus smiled softly in the warm embrace before reluctantly letting go. “Now we should go get that ice cream!” She said as Nick grinned slightly, “can’t you just form it out of thin air?”

“Yes but it won’t be the same.” She said as Nick raised an eyebrow. “How?”

“Let’s just go get the bucking Ice Cream!” She said frustrated but realized inside, she felt...better than ever! It was incredible! She looked at the laughing Nick before smiling softly.
