None of the ponies believed that Nocturne was nothing more but a normal unicorn under all that mysterious darkness, that this thing that covered his body had turned him into a living nightmare capabel of unnatural power and destruction.

"Celestia, it worked! But....is that really...." Luna said.

"I think so, there is no other explanation, he is the one who i must kill...." She said with a little hessitation in her voice.

The unicorn let out a small laugh and later placed his right hoof on his head.

"To think that i have failed, again! I guess i shouldn't be surprised, i was like that my entire life, no matter how powerful i was becoming, i had to sacrifice something! Somepony dear to me, to think that my every step into the future was made out of corpses! All of them pilled up together, all of them so warm and later cold."

All that burst of emotions was too much for the nameless unicorn burst into tears.

"It's because of my failures that i wanted to keep going! I wanted to find a way to be somepony! Even a hero but without sacrificing those around me or see others sacrifices themselves for me! But i should have known that such a path is not achievable nor does it exist."

"You are wrong Nocturne! Such choices and paths truly exist but you never tried to put aside your past mistakes, instead you kept them all inside your head and you let those thoughts feed on you, you never tried to forgive yourself for what you have done." Celestia said.

"You are wrong! I did try to forget everything, to forgive myself and move on with my life but that wasn't the case. It was painful! It was hard.....impossbile! How would you feel Celestia if you had the power to steal somepony's identity? Become them and experience from their perspective everything that they have done in their lives! Every thought that crossed their minds, their desires! I know what it's like but the only reason why i couldn't forgive myself was this.....i felt how terrified they all were seconds before i take their lives, i felt it all! Like if i was the one being killed! That is why i couldn't forgive myself! Never!"

"Even so you never tried to stop yourself from commiting such crimes again, you just kept going, kept killing. You are nothing more than a mindless beast whose lust for power and pleasure is unending! You are and will forever be a monster, no matter the form you take!"

Nocturne was taken by surprise by her words and he wasn't the only one. As for Celestia however her deceison was final, she had this gut feeling that Nocturne will attack again when his powers returned. She had to kill him now, she had to put aside those few memories of a Nocturne who cared for his family, a Nocturne whose only desire was to be recognized and respected, a kind and gentle soul who never wanted to hurt anypony.

Nocturne lowered his head and asked Celestia.

"I assume that you want to kill me now don't you?"

"Correct, you are too dangerous to be left alive, who knows what you will do once i lower my guard. Stab me in the back maybe? Use a spell to take away my eye sight and strike me down while i am defenseless? That's your way of doing things is it not?"

The unicorn stallion started growing more and more angry.

"How! How dare you! HOW DARE YOU MOCK ME?" Nocturne thought to himself almost screaming out his words.

Then, tiny but invisible to the eye tentacles erupted from the ground and pushed their way inside Nocturne's hoof. He felt his powers slowly increasing and soon, he had a whole plan conjured in his head. He let out a sadistic laugh and said.

"It would seem that spending a lot of time with these mortals have altered your way of thinking Celestia! You have truly lost sight of what maters and what doesn't!"

Then, a dark aura started forming around his front hooves and said with a smile.

"You have come with far and i applaud you for that but in the end you are still a simple minded little princess who fails to see the bigger picture!"

He then let out a small laugh as he looked at the dozens of dryed out blood pools .

"That is where you and i differ! I have but one simple goal in mind, to defeat the Old Gods and bring peace to Creation!"

Then from the dryed pool, a dark head started coming out.

"The how i do this or any other things....DOESN'T MATTER IN THE SLIGHTEST!"

When he shouted that, a Perfect Reflection of Nocturne jumped out of the blood pool and aimed for Celestia's eyes. She was on her guard however and pulled back, dodging the attack. Or so she thought. The wrist blades managed to scratch her eyes and forced them shut.

"THERE! How do you like that?!" The unicorn shouted.

Then him and the Perfect Reflection made their way to each other and when they came in range, Nocturne jumped above his perfect reflection as tentacles came out of his chest. He grabbed the Perfect Reflection and Consumed it completely, thus returning to his dark form.

"I'VE WON! DIE!" He shouted and extended his blade towards her.

But Celestia didn't back down. This was her chance put an end to him, even if she was half blind, she had to take that small chance and she did.

She took a deep breath and with her eyes closed his lunged herself forward towards Nocturne's direction and when the two met, a loud ding was heard in the air as the two passed each other and made their way to the opposite side.

The ponies around saw them both kneeling on the ground but they didn't know who received a deathblow.

Nocturne felt nothing, no pain at all, he smiled, stood up in two hooves with his front hooves pointing at the sky and said.

"What? You thought you could beat me? Open your eyes to the truth Celestia! ALL HAVE TRIED BUT ALL HAVE FAILED! I AM UNBEATABLE! I even destroyed that so called sword of yours that can kill me! Where's your hope now?!"

She didn't say anything, she was just there on the ground with her blade nowhere to be found. She slowly turned turned around and Nocturne saw something that surprised him.

"I never lost my sword Nocturne."

Celestia's armor was pierced by multiple pointy red shards of all sizes, that meant only one thing.

The ponies around intimidated by the atmosphere didn't say anything, they just watched as.....

"It's just stuck on your chest!"

He didn't believe her words but the facial expressions of everypony around confirmed his suspicions.

Nocturne lowerd his front hooves down and saw Celestia's sword passing through his chest, slowly shattering his armor and as for his twin red blades, they too were shattered and their remains were stuck on Celestia's armor.

"WHAT THE HELL!"

The dark stallion shouted as the wound on his chest began growing bigger and expanding around his body, thus creating more and more cracks on his body.

"Thats! That's impossible! They were never meant to break, i made them so that no other steel is as strong or durable as them! HOW?! HOW?!"

Blood then started furiously coming out of his large wounds as he screams got louder and louder.

"I can't be dying! I am not supposed to die! I who's strength is that of a billion stallions! I WHO'S INTELECT MATCHES THAT OF THE GODS! I WHO'S FORCE OF WILL IS UNBREAKABLE!"

The ponies around looked in horror as his body started falling appart without saying a word.

"THIS IS YOUR END NOCTURNE! NOW REFLECT ON YOUR SINS AND THE PAIN THAT YOU CAUSED TO THE PONIES AROUND US! FROM START TO FINISH! EACH AND EVERYONE OF THEM! KNOW THEIR PAIN AND REPENT FOR ALL YOU HAVE DONE!"

When Celestia said those words, hundreds of images and voices started crossing Nocturne's mind. He remembered their faces separately, he remembered everything that he had done to each of them, he felt their pain as if it was his own.

"NO! I! I AM NOCTURNE! I AM THE WEAPON OF THE FALLEN GOD! I CAN NOT DIE! I AM NOCTURNE!"

When he finished his sentance, he was lifted into the air and the Darkness around him disappeared thus returning to his normal form. He then let out one final scream before his whole body was blown to bits by the huge amounts of magic that were released from his body.

And the only thing that remained after that was a big pool of blood decorated by the unicorn's lifeless head and as for the sword, it was nowhere to be found after the explosion.

After a few seconds, the spell that binded them was dispelled and they were set free. They looked around and after a few seconds they started cheering for Celestia.

"I did it.....oh God yes i did." Celestia said before falling down unconscious.

When she woke up, she found herself surounded by her family, Crossbleser, Twilight and her own friends.

"Celestia!" Cosmos quickly said and hugged his daughter.

"We feared the worst! Don't ever do that again!"

After that, Queen Galaxia hugged her too and said.

"Oh Celestia, thank God you are ok, don't ever leave our side again!"

Twilight later joined in, hugged her and said.

"I thought i lost you Princess! I was so scared." She said as tears started running down her cheeks.

"Don't worry everypony, i promise, don't worry." She said with a smile and hugged him back.

Luna then hugged her too and started crying as well.

"What's the matter little sister?" She asked.

"What's the matter? He almost killed you! You think that i wouldn't be paralyzed if i saw him killing you?!"

"That's not what i meant." She said and kept her smile while hugging her.

"It is over now, he is dead and he is not coming back. You can all count on that."

Crossbleser then appeared and next to him was Sessuena and Princess Cadence.

"Aunt Celestia! Are you ok? I am so happy that you survived!" She said and hugged her.

"And i am glad that you are all safe."

She then looked over to Crossbleser who had a proud smile on his face.

"I did it Crossbleser, i saved us all."

"I know you did and we are all proud of you. The only thing that remains now is to rebuild everything that he destroyed."

"Yeah, you are right. We have to fix his past mistakes on our own and secure a better future for us and the next generations."

"Cadence!" A voice was heard in the air.

Cadence turned around and saw her husband Shining armor who was rushing towards her.

"Shining! SHINING ARMOR!" She shouted and run towards him as well.

The two of them kissed and held each other tightly.

"I never got the chance to search for you when we returned, i thought that you....didn't make it."

"I am sorry i scared you Cadence but know this, i won't leave you alone ever again! You got that?"

She wipped her tears and said with a smile.

"Yes! I know you won't."

They both then heard a baby laughter and before they knew it, Flurry Heart was above them.

"FLURRY HEART!" The two lovers shouted and hugged the flying alicorn.

As for the Twilight's friend, they started to slowly tear up at the happy sight before Pinkie Pie completely lost it and burst into tears. She then pulled out of her mane a box of tissues and slapped her friends across their faces with one tissue each.

"I FEEL SO HAPPY RIGHT NOW! I CAN'T CONTAIN MYSELF! I AM SORRY GUYS!" She cried as a pool of tears covered the ground three meters in each side of her.

After an hour, the ponies around organized themselves and started moving Nocturne's giant castle which was still on top of Canterlot. It took them a lot of hours to move it out of the way and a teleportation spell was not an option, such a massive structure could be teleported anywhere without the proper concentration and the use of magic.

It all seemed well for them but deep in the Abosolute Nothingness, Phobetor was resting in his throne and said as he played around with a powerful looking essence in his right hand.

"What can i say Nocturne? You had potential, limitless to be honest but you let your overconfidence get the best of you. Oh well not a problem, i still have the power i need to escape and...."

He then took a closer look into that essence and saw two blue glowing eyes staring back at him.

"I will find another Host for my gift, not that i need him or her but, it's nice to see mortals get excited over power."

When he did that, the Earth strated slowly cracking open and multiple portals appeared around the planets, from which Eldritch Horrors came through, they landed on the surface and ravaged the planet from within, rendering it ash.

"Creation will fall in our wake! Beware all those who oppose us and glory to their Unending Darkness!"

Even though it took countless years, the forces of the Old Gods won the second Cosmic War and Creation was brought to its knees. And the world ended....just like that, in the end nothing remained. Every world was destroyed, the Gods were killed and Corruption reined supreme.
