And so they continued walking the train rails until they reached the main gate. Canterlot wasn’t just like they remembered, the walls were not colorful and welcoming, the towers were dark with flames on top of them and dark spikes coming out of the top of each tower.

"Um…this doesn’t look like the Canterlot" Sleepy said.

"Nocturne did this?" Flash asked.

"Even if Nocturne did this, how did he change Canterlot so fast?" Silver said with a curius tone.
Ensis then stepped forward and said.

"It doesn’t matter what he has done here, but everything is going DOWN!"

Shining armor then tried to calm his squad down and put them in the right track.

"Everypony stop! We are not here to look at the reformed Canterlot, we are here to rescue the prisoners along with Diamond rose!"

He pointed at Diamond rose. Diamond rose blushed but she was happy that she was surrounded by heroes. The team quickly apologized and got serious. Flash sentry then got next to Shining armor.

"Sir! How do we do this?"

"Everypony get into defensive positions and have your eyes opened for any movements and you Diamond rose stay close to me, if we happened to enter a fight you find somewhere to hide. Got it?"
Diamond rose replied uneasy.

"Um…yes?"

"Good, everypony lets move!"

The moved in to Canterlot, they had reached the main street. To their surprise the houses were in a fine condition, but where change. They were made by dark bricks and were highly detailed. The thing that caught their attention though was the weird trees all around town. Ensis got right infront of one of these trees and started looking at it. The trees were in fact created by the mass of pony corpses with the souls trapped in antagonizing pain.

"What the fuck." He said with a face full of disgust.

"Hey Ensis what's ya looking at?" He heard Flash coming to his way.

When he noticed the disturbing details of the trees Flash backed out a little with a gasp.

"Are they...."

"Alive?" Silver Bandage said.

"Silver.....what the hell is this!" Flash asked.

"I don't know, such things only exist in fairy tails."

"Or Nightmares....." Ensis interupted Silver before he could continue.

They then noticed a small bug coming out of tree, Ensis backed up a little and said.

"I hate bugs!"

He then proceeded to stomp on it but Sleepy stoped him by getting a hold of his shoulder.
"Oh come on Ensis, it's just a bug it wouldn't hurt anypony." Sleepy said.

"Well we don't know that due to the fact that it came out of a tree created by CORPSES! And it also looked a bit strange compare to some other bugs." Silver.

"Let's just get going already!" Ensis said with an angry tone.

They continued moving when Flash noticed something. Flash looked up and saw something like a dark figure flying around the buildings.

"Wait you saw that?" Flash asked.

Nopony answered. Instead they looked at Flash with curiosity.

"Quick get to cover!" Shining armor said.

Everypony then run to the closest corner they could find. Shining armor and Flash Sentry were at the same spot. Shining armor then whispered to Flash and asked him what he saw.

"What did you saw?"

Flash then whispered back.

"I saw something like a dark figure flying around those buildings sir. I think that this might be Nocturne we have to do something."

"Wow, slow down. Show me were you last saw this figure."

They both then peaked through the corner, Flash Sentry then pointed at a house and Shining armor looked closer. To his surprise he saw a pony covered in a dark cloak with a dark mask and orange glowing eyes looking at them, the mysterious pony then pulled out a rifle, aimed at Shining armor and took a shot. Shining armor quickly then ducked and dogged the bullet at the last second.

"What the hell is going on?!" Ensis shouted.

"There is a sniper! Heads down!" Flash announced.

The dark sniper then got into his two hooves and started laughing. The pony’s voice was echoing through the street, then the dark sniper continued firing more shots at our heroes .The sounds of his weapon were able to attract more of Nocturne’s minions. Soon the road was filled with more monsters. These things were ponies with purple skin, blank eyes, with a grin on their faces and tentacles on top of their heads. And they were all running towards our heroes.

"BATTLE POSITION!" He announced.

Shining armor then used his magic and created a laser beam to kill these monstrosities. Ensis then immediately left his cover and rushed to the enemy with his axes .He then attracted his enemies’ attention with a loud battle roar.

"COME AT ME!"

The dark sniper then aimed at Ensis and was about to shoot him down, Silver tried to warn him.

"Ensis look out!"

Ensis couldn't do anything but at the last second his was covered by a purple magic buble that deflected the attack but it also cracked the shield, after some seconds immediately destroying it. The others monsters were close to Ensis and he started hacking and slashing them, decorating his weapons with their blood, however their wounds were regenarating at such a fast rate that Ensis attacks were not enought to kill some of them. Soon both Sleepy and Flash joined the battle and got Ensis's side.

"These things are almost unkillable!" Sleepy said.

"I suggest taking their heads, it might be the only way!" Flash suggested while dogging a shot from the dark sniper.

"Agreed, let's show them who we are!" Ensis said.

The three of them got into fighting, in order however for their plan to work they had to jump on a single target at once, because once it's head had fallen down it started regenerating as well. They then quickly started stabbing and slicing the beheaded creature till all that remained was a pool of blood, but still it kept regenerating and forming back to it's original form. Shining armor did his best to shield his friends to keep the shots from the dark sniper away, but it was way much of a stuggle. He kept getting dizzy over time, his heart was beating faster, his vision was getting blurry there was nothing that he could have done, he then heard a small whisper to his ear, it wasn't Diamond rose or any of his companions, it was somepony else.

"Keep fighting young one, don't leave your friends fall to the beasts' hunger, don't give up and i will aid you." The voice said.

And when that happened, Shining slammed the ground underneath him and released a roar with an aura of light surrounding him. The others gasped at that sight, his armor became golden along with his helmet and to his side he had a big golden sword with a blue hilt, on top of the hilt there was a small golden dragon head with small pieces of diamonds attached to it and the rest of the blade was made out of pure diamond. His eyes were glowing yellow and with a powerful swing he sent a shockwave infront of him immediately filling this creatures with light, they started screaming and they then exploded into oblivion with nothing of them left behind.

"Use this power well young prince, because when the time will come, you will use it to fight Nocturne." The mysterious voice said again.

He then turned back to his original state and fell down unconsious, his companions along with Diamond Rose surrunded him.

"Boss! Come on man don't be dead!" Ensis said.

"Silver, give him something quick!" Flash said.

"I....will try...don't push me..."

Before he could do anything the dark sniper jumped right in front of them immediately knocking them back. He then tried to grab Shining armor and leave, but Ensis along with the others got the jump on him and pinned him down, the rifle was knocked a few meters away while Flash and the others were holding him down.

"Diamond Rose, quick grab that thing and kill it!" Flash shouted.

Without hesitation she grabed it with her magic and pointed it right and the head of the dark sniper, she then took the shot in result the bullet went right through it's skull and it was dead. Diamond rose fell down taking deep breaths and she threw the rifle away.

"We did it! Heck yeah!" Flash said.

They all started cheering and smiling on one another, Sleepy then rushed at Diamond rose, hugged her and started spining around.

"You did it rosy!"

"Please.....stop...."

"Oh...hehe...sorry." Sleepy then put her down with an awkard smile.

Shining armor slowly got up from the ground with a smile on his face and said.

"Good work everypony, now let's get going the area is clear."

"But how did you do that?" Ensis asked.

"I...don't know Ensis, but something tells me that somepony is watching us and i am not talking about Nocturne." He said.

"Well, let's just hope that that burst of light won't cause any more attention." Silver said.

Shining armor noded then looked over to Diamond Rose and said.

"How long till we reach the prison?"

"It's just inside the castle, we should hurry." She said.

They all then started making their way up the stairs and into the castle, but Diamond Rose stoped Shining by putting her hoof on his shoulder and she said to him with a smile.

"I am glad all risked your lives coming here, if it wasn't for that explosion of light, who knows what could have happened...i thank you."

"Seeing my ponies safe is it's own reward Diamond Rose, i am just doing my duty." He said.
"I know...." She replyed.
