Two Hours Later,
Front Door to Twilight’s Castle, Ponyville, Equestria

Rainbow Dash and Luna approached the front door of Twilight’s home. In light of Rainbow Dash’s more permanent injuries, Princess Celestia had privately requested that Twilight take in Dash until an alternative to her home in Cloudsdale could be located. This was a request that Twilight was more than glad to fulfill.
Rainbow Dash raised a hoof to the door and knocked. On the other side of the door she heard the familiar pitter patter of Spike’s feet at he approached. When he slid open the eye-slot on the door, Rainbow Dash saw his green eyes shoot wide open in recognition.. A few seconds later, the door was unlocked and opened.
“Hello, there Spike,” said Dashie to Twilight’s adopted younger brother.
“Welcome home Rainbow!” said the teenage dragon. “Twilight is waiting for you in the Cutie Map room.”
“Thank you Spike,” said Rainbow Dash as she embraced the purple dragon.
“I think that it would be best if I get heading back to Canterlot,” said Princess Luna.
“”But Princess Luna, I’m sure that Twilight would enjoy saying hello to you. Besides, I was hoping that we could hang out some more. You’re a rather cool pony!”
“While I appreciate the compliments, I don’t want to interfere with a heartfelt reunion..”
“Okay, but only if you insist.”
Spike chimed in, “I’ll take your bags up to the guest room where you’ll be staying.”
“Here let me help you with that,” said Rainbow Dash.
“No!” said Spike. “I mean, no, don’t worry about that. I’ll bring them up to your room. Twilight said that she wanted to speak to you as soon as you returned to the castle.”
“Okay then…” said Rainbow Dash. Turning to her right, she made her way down the hall and towards the Cutie Map room. As she approached the gigantic crystal door, she wondered what Twilight wanted to talk to her about.
“Hopefully it’s not a friendship mission,” she thought to herself. “If it is then tough s--- for her. I’ve got a lot of tender love and care that needs to be given to Scootaloo.”
Rainbow Dash pushed open the door to the throne room
“Suprise!”
Rainbow Dash was taken by surprise as Pinkie Pie tackled her to the ground. “I see that somepony hasn’t changed,” thought Rainbow Dash to herself.
Looking around the room she saw that all of her friends were there. Draped over the center of the room was a banner that read “Welcome Home Dashie.”
“Thanks guys,” she said, blushing.
The other elements of harmony walked over to her and embraced her in a group hug.
“We’re glad you’re home Sugarcube! said Applejack.
“When we heard about what happened we were mortified!” said Rarity.
“We’re simply glad that you are back,” added Twilight.
As Rainbow Dash scanned the room, she noticed that Scootaloo wasn’t present.
“Uh, guys do you know where Scootaloo is?” asked Rainbow Dash.
Noticing Rainbow Dash ‘s concern, Twilight sought to calm her nerves. She said, “Scootaloo is at school right now.”
Rainbow Dash looked at the clock that hung over the door. It was 2:30. Scootaloo would be in school for at least another 30 minutes.
“Oh yeah, duh!” she said, embarrassed at that brain fart. Suddenly, she got an idea. “Hey Twilight, I’ll head over to the school, that way I can greet her when she is coming out of class.”
“But Rainbow Dash,” protested Pinkie, “don’t you want to stay for the party that I threw just for you.”
“Of course, where are my manners. I’d love to stay for your party,” said Rainbow Dash.
“Okie Dokie Loki! How about I get you some cake and cider!” said Pinkie Pie before bouncing off, not waiting for Rainbow Dash’s response.
Rainbow Dash did want to surprise her daughter. However, she knew that Pinkie Pie didn’t take well to one refusing to attend her parties. A psycho Pinkie Pie was the very last thing that she needed right now.
While Pinkie Pie was off getting Rainbow Dash’s cake, Fluttershy stepped forward. Breaking her silence, she said, “I’m so glad that you’re back Dashie. I- I mean we missed you so much.”
“Tell me about it. I mean, I’m also glad to be back with my friends.”
“As you know, Tank is currently hibernating. Perhaps after the party, I can show you where he’s at. That way, when spring comes, the two of you can see each other ASAP,” said Fluttershy.
“Thanks Fluttershy!” said Rainbow Dash. She truly is the greatest mare around, thought Dashie to herself.
Her thoughts about Fluttershy were interrupted by the sound of Pinkie Pie bouncing on over to the group.
“Hey Dashie, here’s your cake,” said the pink party pony as she passed a plate over to Dash. “ I know that you like rainbows and all, so I made the frosting rainbow colored! I hope you like it.”
“Thanks, that’s really kind of you!” replied the rainbow colored pegasus.
Rainbow Dash thanked the Heavens for the great friends that she had. Despite the horrors of the past several weeks, she knew that no matter what her future held in store for her, she knew that she would have amazing friends there to support her.
If she ever needed to be cheered up, she always had Pinkie Pie. If she ever needed an affectionate touch of kindness, she always had Fluttershy. For knowledge or a friendly competition, she had Twilight and Applejack. And should the unthinkable happen and she be placed in a fashion “emergency” then she could always rely on Rarity to provide her with necessary support to avoid a “fashion catastrophe.”
For the next 30 minutes, Rainbow Dash made her way around the room, entertaining and comforting her friends, who varied from being devastated at the ordeal that she had gone through to being exhilarated by the simple fact that she was alive and (relatively) in one piece. However, as 3:00 approached, she gradually maneuvered her way to the doors of the room. She wanted to be at the entrance of the castle when Scootaloo came home from school.
Excusing herself from her conversation with Bon Bon with the lie that she “needed some fresh air,” she made her way out into the hallway. From there she made her way to the door of the castle and waited for the return of her daughter.
