Chapter 3, Part 2

One hour Later

Manehattan, Equestria

All along the docks stood ponies, amazed at the sight that they were beholding. Sitting in the middle of the harbour was a large battleship that dwarfed all of the naval vessels in port. A top this alien vessel fluttered a Star Spangled Banner, representing some unknown civilization. But perhaps most perplexingly (frightening) of all were the strange biped creatures dressed in all white standing atop the metal behemoth

Suddenly, a voice boomed out from the loudspeaker of the vessel, startling the equine crowd.

“I, Captain Fred Kirkland of the USS Alabama, on the behalf of the United States of America, would like to let you know that we come in peace. Please take me to your leaders.”

Visibly nervous, Mistral Glory, the female Pegasus Mayor of Manehattan, took off with two members of her security detail and flew slowly towards the deck of the ship. Landing on the deck, she cleared her throat as she approached the creature that appeared to be the leader of the aliens, on edge by the number of armed soldiers visible.

Bowing before her visitor, she said, “Hello visitor. My name is Mistral Glory. I am the mayor of Equestria’s largest city, Manehattan--”

The creature spoke up, “Wait. This isn’t Manhattan.”

“It isn’t. This is Manehattan. I’m sorry if our city sounds a lot like one of yours.”

Moving past the confusion, she said, “I’m honored to meet you and you and your men are welcome to stay in our city as guests.”

“I’m honored to accept your friendship on the behalf of the United States. I’d be honored to meet the leader of your civilization and to tour your city,” said the leader of the alien creatures.

“Just what are you?” inquired the Mayor.

“Well I’m a human. Isn’t that obvious,” replied the male leader.

“They are real,” replied the Mayor mysteriously.

“What was that?” inquired the Human.

“Oh nothing. Anyways… Welcome to Equestria, the Land of Ponies!”
