Sometime Later,
Somewhere Else,

Pinkie Pie awoke in a cold, pitch black room. She felt a throbbing pain in her forearms and her head. She wondered where she was.

Trying to move her forelegs, she found that she was unable to do so. For some reason her limbs were utterly stationary, almost as if they were tied to her.
For several more minutes she struggled to move, or at the very least sit up on her oddly soft bed. Suddenly a blinding light dazed her as the room she was in suddenly lit up. After a few seconds of excruciating pain, her eyes began to adjust to the overhead light.
She saw that she was in the middle of a padded cell. Looking down, she realized that her arms were trapped by a straitjacket.
“What the hay is going on?” she thought to herself.
Looking around the desolate room, she spotted a solitary window, located in the middle of a large metal door. She also noticed that there was no door knob on her side of it.
“Maybe it’s all a joke. I’m sure that if I look through the window, I’ll see my friends laughing at the prank that they are pulling on me.”
This had better me a prank,” thought Pinkamena, the harrowing memories of her stay in a mental hospital causing a shiver to race down her spine.
Before she could get up and walk over to it, there was a loud buzzing sound audible from some hidden speaker in the room. Suddenly the door clanked open and a lovely young nurse with a pink heart as a cutie mark walked through the door.
“Hello, Ms. Pie,” said the innocent, white colored unicorn.
“Who are you? Where am I?” asked Pinkie, her voice cracking from dryness.
“Don’t be so silly,” said the white Unicorn. Seeing the confused look on Pinkie Pie’s face, she realized that Pinkie wasn't joking.
“You mean to tell me that you don’t remember anything about why you’re here or who I am?”
“No.”
“Well to begin, I’m Nurse Caroline Kindheart. However, you’re free to call me Carol.”
“Well nice to meet you Carol. Or perhaps remeet you, that is if we’ve already met each other. I guess that you already know my name,” said Pinkie, suddenly feeling a bit more at ease.
“Yes I do Pinkie. I’m glad that you’re feeling happy.”
“Oh course I’m happy! I’m always happy,” said Pinkie Pie, before jumping up into the air. However, due to Pinkie’s forehooves being stuck in a strait jacket she was unable to stick that landing, slamming into the padded floor with a thud.
“Let me help you out of that,” said the kindhearted unicorn.
After a few moments of fiddling with her straitjacket, Carol removed the restrictive clothing article from Pinkie Pie.
“Feeling better,” asked Carol as she helped Pinkie Pie to her feet.
“Yah,” said Pinkie. She had so many unanswered questions for Carol.
“Why am I in a mental hospital? Where are my friends?
Carol’s friendly demeanor disappeared from her face. Clearly she was uncomfortable at explaining the truth.
“I don’t know if you want really want to know the truth…” began the white unicorn.
“I think I have the right to know,” said Pinkie Pie imploringly.
Sighing, Carol said, “You were committed to this hospital four years ago by a judge after the incident in Ponyville.”
“What incident in Ponyville?”
“Something inside you snapped one day. You started kidnapping and murdering ponies. Your first victim was Rainbow Dash. After that you proceed to eliminate other ponies, seemingly at random. This went on for nearly three months until you were caught in the act of killing a pegasus known as Derpy Hooves. After that you lost control and proceeded to murder via stabbing another eight ponies, including all of the Cake family.”
“None of that is true! I would never do any of that to my friends!” screamed Pinkie Pie angrily as she shot up onto her four hooves.
“Yes Pinkie it is. It would be best if you accepted reality and moved on.” said Carol, trying her best to avoid eye contact and maintain calmness in front of the agitated pink earth pony.
“You know what I think! I think that you’re lying! As soon as I can prove it you're going down!” threatened Pinkie Pie
“Don’t do anything rash,” said Carol, her composed face giving way to a menacing glare. “It would be a shame if I were to have to put you back in the straitjacket. Or perhaps you’d like it if the guards were to ‘discipline’ you.”
“I’m not afraid of you,” said Pinkie Pie as she began to advance on her custodian.
Suddenly Carol threw a punch that connected with the side of Pinkie’s head. She collapsed onto the padded ground with a thud. Before she could raise her hooves to protect her face, Carol stomped on her temple. Her world immediately went black.
