Recruitment is an important part of the military. As the Head of a Military unit Spec Ops or not Personnel requirements are needed to be filled so Recruitment is necessary. Cloud Striker.

I awoke the next day with a smile on my face in and my hooves and wings wrapped around Storm Chaser. The look on her sleeping face was priceless I could not help myself I leaned over and gave her a kiss on the lips waking her gently getting a kiss in return which deepened.

Quiet moans were heard before I broke the kiss. “Good Morning Love.” I said getting a contented sigh from Stormy.

“Good Morny Cj. We have anything important to do or can we just spend the day in each others hooves?” She asked shyly.

I couldn’t help but sigh. “Storm you know that you and I have to get ready for the trip tomorrow we can rest up today and spend most of it Together. I want to test them new Pipbuck 3500 models so it would require Two being made then we can transfer all relative data from our delta’s to the new pipbucks should they be better.” I said sighing into her neck.

“I thought of that so had the system manufacturer two kind of wish we had Littlepip here she’s the closest we know to a certified pipbuck tech in the wasteland at the moment. So let’s shower and head there to test these pipbuck’s.” Storm said getting a nod as I got out of bed.

Thirty minutes later Freshly out of the shower dried Storm and I walked into the main room we started to put our respective armors on. Five minutes later we walked into the CC. “Status report?” I barked getting a sharp salute and response, Nothing major to report Supply are being loaded and set for the trip. On another note Ma’am looks like last night did the both of you some good must have been some discussion. Evening Sky said with a grin that wasn’t fool a foal.

That got an eyebrow raise. “Are you trying to test me Eva or are you really bucking to take inventory so much?” I replied.

“No Ma’am I was only commenting on the fact that you both look so calm and happy. Instead of how you were snapping everypony's Heads off.” Eva said.

I held the look for a minute or two before a smirk formed on my face, “Relax watch commander I will not count that knowing what I do about your kind you all probably felt it but again and I’ll repeat it if need be No teasing of Storm and I should that happen I will not waste a moment and deal out punishment got it Watch Commander.” I said getting a relieved sigh from Eva and a crisp salute and response.

“Good now If Storm and I are needed we will be in the Stable-R&D Tech bay.” I said getting a Salute and Yes Ma’am.

Storm and I left the CC heading for the R&D Tech Bay left by Applebloom in secret even from Rainbow if said message is to be believed.

Three minutes later we arrived at our destination to see two Pipbuck 3500 military issue Pipbuck’s in the units colors. Diagnostics of the pipbucks are showing there running properly and are fully functional. An inquiry from the Stable-Tech R&D computer confirmed there just like the Delta model once placed they can only be removed with the same kind of key as the delta model Pipbuck. With a quick command I connected the two pipbucks together sharing with it all my map and data I have on it to the new Pipbuck testing its data capabilities it worked like a charm no problems with a Second command I removed my Pipbuck and checked all settings and such on my armor also transferred which I was happy they did, I did have the Computer transfer my Delta’s Pipbuck Tag ID to the New 3500. Storm did the same and we spent some time testing them out they worked smoothly with our armor. I started the process of making three others for the Senior staff of the base. Once that was done I called the Senior staff to the R&D bay to update their gear. Daisy and Misty both gasped at the new pipbucks when I said there are only Five ever made. We got them programed and replaced and set the Delta’s back to factory reset.

After that we had a staff meeting everything was going as planned Eva had her daughter who was going with us picked out and was getting her outfitted as a Merc looking for work. The rest of the day was training all personnel took part of it throughout the day. Misty completed her qualification as a field Combat Doctor and was promoted to Lt. Commander. We threw her a party and congratulated her on completing her preliminary training she’s not a fully certified pre war Doctor but she is a qualified Combat Doctor. That night We all just relaxed but kept alert. We all turned in shortly after the completion of the party.

The next day we were setting out to Tenpony Tower to speak with Dj Pon 3 and set up a Live broadcast with me talking with the wasteland Alpha team was doing final checks on supply’s I pulled Moon Lilly aside to speak with her in private. “I think it would be a good idea to stop by your village and ask for aid from them on a volunteer bases. I do not want to force anypony into anything.” I raised a hoof to forestall her response. “Yes I do know I can demand and conscript them to do this and with my authority they couldn’t refuse. I want them to have a choice in the matter there ponies like me and everypony here. I would hate to force somepony to do something they do not want to do. It would make me as bad as Red Eye.” I said.
“I see what you mean ma’am. I know that most if not all of the able bodied ponies of my village will join and up to assist you in some way or another Honor would demand it. Although it has been a year since I was last home. I just hope everypony is alright.” Moon Lilly replied.

“After we get done with Tenpony we will head out to your Village with the Victory with us we will of course not be bringing the Victory close to Tenpony we will be departing the Victory on the outskirts of Manehattan and use the our tortoise to get to Tenpony. I will of course be informing Dj Pon 3 of our arrival that way there is no with Security at Tenpony Hopefully we will not have any problems Thanks To Littlepip we know the location of Stable 29, and the Base of The outcasts. It’s possible to contact them maybe even offer assistance to get members that are loyal to the true meaning of the oath they swore to get to them. Although I am reluctant to assist them as of yet but options need to be explored I can not just close off an avenue of support.” I said with a sigh getting a nod from Moon Lilly.

“Oh how are you doing btw Moon Lilly?” I asked.

“I’m alright why do you ask Ma’am?”

“I ask because there is a lot of things going on, have the Estrus relief devices helped you?” I asked with a slight grin on my face as she went a nice shade of red.

Moon Lilly squeaked before answering. “There helping but there is still that need.” Moon replied getting a nod from me.

“I have learned from Eva that should you get mounted by a Changeling male pregnancy could happen although being mounted by a Changeling female masquerading as a stallion that there is no chance of pregnancy there is that option as per my request all Changelings are there true gender not hiding there sex. So if you wish to ask a changeling for a roll in the hay so to speak a female changeling going stallion will not result in a pregnancy. As far as I am aware we have a total of 3 changeling stallions on this base the rest are mares. Eva is going to be breeding as soon as she locates a suitable stallion that can be seduced as her Unicorn self to hide her wings so to speak after that She’s going to have multiple pregnancies over the next few weeks in 3 months or so we will have the required numbers to cruw the raptors. That I will be looking forward to seeing.” I said.

“Well that certainly going to be an option. Should I be interested.” Moon Lilly said.

Storm approached, “Cj the Victory is ready to depart we are all set to head out.” Storm Wing said,

“Good...Good. Make it so Stormy have the crew man their stations everypony that’s going board the Victory we have three stops to make. One New Appleloosa. Two Tenpony Tower, and Three Moon Lilly’s Village to gather support.” I said getting a nod of approval from Storm.
“It will be done Cj Tortoise and supply wagon is already loaded on the Victory and is ready to go. We are waiting on the word to depart.” Storm said.

“The wasteland awaits let's mount up.” I replied getting a nod from both Moon and Storm.

Activating the PA system, “Attention everypony attention Victory prepare for departure alpha team to the Victory Mount up ponies Time to go Cloud Striker out.” I said as I closed the channel.

With that said Storm and Moon Lilly followed me as we arrived at the hanger and approached the Victory boarding I looked around at the modified deck. “Impressive most impressive Good job everypony.” I said with big smile on my muzzle getting cheers from all on the deck.

I walked up to Daisy and Misty, “Supply status girls?” I asked.

“Stocked and ready for sails and supply runs Ma’am.” They replied crisply.

“Excellent. I mean business girls The wasteland needs us one way or another these supplies will go towards that goal helping countless others provided we manage to get in touch with the right individuals one additional stop along the way to Tenpony Shatterdhoof I think it would be a good Idea at least to talk with Gawd about a potential contract.” I said getting nods from all.

I looked around and spotted our Passenger, “I hope you are successful in finding a stallion worthy to bring the population up of the Hive we need the personal to help out and to crew the Raptors.” I said getting a nod from her before she said. “ I do not plan on failing my task.”

“Good Let’s move out Get clearance from dock control set course for New Appleloosa I want the Victory to maintain station keeping above the settlement once we depart from the hold.” I said as we traveled to the bridge.

Walking onto the bridge we got clearance engines starting and out we went. “Stealth systems engaged. Eta to drop 3 minutes.” The Deck officer reported.

“Good job.” I said as I sent an Alert to Ditzy and Silver Bell that we are inbound for a chat and to please meet us at the gates. A minute later a reply came in from Silver saying that there at the gates waiting for us to show. With that Alpha met back up in the hold mounted up and departed the Victory and descended to the gate of New Appleloosa.

We touched down in front of the gates. Railright was there and as expected he and the Three ponies on the gate aimed their weapons at me and Storm. I sighed, and let out a growl. “For Celestia’s sake Railright. How many times are we going to be going through this I swear if I wasn’t expecting it you would have just have been a casualty. I do not like having a gun shoved in my face every time I come to do business with Ditzy do you really want to loose supply opportunities I can offer? My business is with Ditzy if I must I will completely Bypass New Appleloosa and not do business with you from this point on. So I will repeat myself for the Last Bucking time Railright what will it be Lose the business I can provide and do business with Ditzy Directly and not set hoof in New Appleloosa ever again Supply’s may come through but you would not see any benefits to it Plus I’m already debating whether or not to even do business with New Appleloosa.” I said Clicking my weapon systems up I was already armed the audible clunk or safeties disengaging. “I told you for buck sakes that I would defend myself and my Team from attack.” I said with steel in my voice.

Ditzy stepped between the two of us with her chalk board that Said “Quit being a Foal Railright Cloud Striker is a good pony and a pony the wasteland needs.”

“Ditzy If Railright wants to be a bigot or triblest I can not change his mind but I will help ponies with or without his support. I need all the help and support I can get Railright don’t push my assistance away it’s not only you that will suffer but the ponies of New Appleloosa.” I turned back to Ditzy. “Ditzy My business is with you not necessarily New Appleloosa so If this keeps happening I shall arrange a meeting place and alert you to meetings through Silver Bell if necessary. So if you like step into my office and we can conduct our business. Oh and next time you raise your Weapon to me again Railright It will be your last I do not take threats well.” I said.

Ditzy walked into the Tortoise I followed shortly after. “Alright Ditzy have you thought about what I asked you about being a Trade Liaison or making caravans to carry goods all across the wasteland from town to town getting to where supplies need to be?” I asked getting a nod and a written message of Yes I’ll work with you. “Thanks Ditzy that is a load off my shoulder Ditzy I’ll be heading for Tenpony and will be making an announcement of opening trade and recruitment for positions in my unit or convoy and or trade caravan guards.” I said getting a hug from Ditzy.

“We will be in touch Ditzy through Silver Bell setting up meeting locations and a trade outpost location. I was hoping to use New Appleloosa as a trade outpost but that might not be a good Idea. Anyway I have to go to Tenpony to make that Announcement and a stop by Shatterdhoof to talk with Gawd about a contract.” Getting a nod from Ditzy she wrote out a message Keep in touch Cj I’ll be waiting for word. I nodded to that. “Will do Ditzy.”

With that business concluded I stepped out to a greeting of our Changeling getting rushed through the gate. “Oh yes let unicorns earth ponies and dashites yet Deni a full team of Equestria Military lodging or even a rest from travel.” I said with a sigh.

I hooked up to the tortoise and we took flight we met up with the Victory. When we set down I said. “Set course for Shatteredhoof. Let me know when we get to the Drop off point.” Affirmative response from the bridge came.

Twenty minutes later we departed again from the Victory and dropped down on Shatteredhoof. As we made our approach Blackwing intercepted us and began escorting us to a landing. “Cloud Striker what is your business in Shatteredhoof?” She asked.

“I need to speak with Gawd I assume you informed her that I might be talking to her about potential contract?” Getting a nod from Blackwing.

“Well thats why I am here I wish to speak to Gawd about a Contract details are for her ears at the moment.” I said getting a nod from Blackwing.

“Well well well what do we have here a group of heavily armed ponies at my door what can I do for you Cloud Striker?” Gawd said as she walked toward us.

“A business opportunity for you Gawd Caps are not a problem also a chance to truly make a difference and a chance to make an even better rep for Shatteredhoof. I will not say more until we have a chance to speak in private.” I said getting a nod from Gawd.

Gawd walked us into her office closing the door and said. “Alright Cloud Striker what is this opportunity you spoke of?”

“You know that I have a duty to Equestria and her people and to Equestria herself helping Equestria recover from the war.” Gawd nodded. “Suffice it to say I have the means to help all life I would like to use Shatteredhoof as a trade outpost and or offering you a contract for ponypower whether it be in escorts for caravans, convoys or places at my base of operation. Should anypony or griffin sign up to be a member of my unit they will be sworn in no question asked and will be given equipment to outfit to their job whatever it might be training is guaranteed. Supplies ammo they will not lack anything they need in their job.” I said getting a raised eyebrow from Gawd.

“What is in it for me or Shatteredhoof?” Gawd asked.

“Ah...For that Information Gawd I need your word of Honor that nothing that’s about to be said doesn’t leave this room or is leaked to ponies that would not use it the way its was meant to be used There is a reason for this but before I reveal it I must have that word.” I said.

“Alright You have it.” Gawd said giving her word.

“We'll safe it to say I haven’t told you everything about me and Storm Wing. I did indeed wake up in a military base but one that is fully functional with manufacturing capability hydroponics medical facilities fully stocked and functional capable of feeding over a million ponies rebuild the Equestrian Infrastructure production of ammo and weapons teaching facilities training facility able to completely arm every single individual in Shatteredhoof Tenpony Tower and would be a prime target for the Steel Rangers and Enclave or anypony with that wants the power of having such a base’s capability not to mention that this base is a Spec Ops Recon Base with defences that would take more ponypower to take without a lot of losses This base is hidden there is only a few ponies that know’s of this bases existence. Very few who knows its location anyone going to join this unit will be put to sleep to keep the location of this base secret I need to get supplies out so a trade outpost is needed I will accept caps and scrap for trade. My base is capable of recycle and repurpose material. Gem’s also will also be accepted in trade I am teaming up with us or even helping us will place a lot of supplies and traders coming to Shatteredhoof. You wouldn't be the only trade outpost for my group I have Two Fully operational and combat ready assault class Raptor and a prototype dragon killer class raptor at my disposal with a reinforcements I was able to crew the two raptors the last one I need ponypower not to mention the base is understaffed I had Two hundred out of fifteen hundred staff to operate this installation. Now that you Know about that Do you understand why I am keeping the Location of this base a secret and hidden and why I asked for you word of honor and why I am willing to Pay and contract if need be to supply caravans with Guards or guns.” I asked getting a dropped jaw fish faced nod.

Gawd shock her head cleared her throat. “Well that could be a great boon to the wasteland why is this base not known?” She asked.

“MoA Special Operations and Reconnaissance Stable Top Secret only 6 ponies new of it Myself My second in command Rainbow Dash herself Applebloom and the Princesses this base had two objectives should the worst happen I was to asses Equestria condition and work towards restoration and reconstruction of Equestria. The base has seeds to replant Equestria Princess Luna personally gave me these orders. I will not fail in my duty to the princesses.” I said.

“You are telling me you are a black ops pony?” Gawd asked.

“Black Ops well yes I am a black ops pony but I am also the Sole survivor of the Equestrian High Command I am the Equestrian Military. So Gawd what do you say will you assist me I will contract you if needed. I might even contract you to guard the Raptor trade outposts. You would gain a lot of boons from it not to mention you would get all the equipment and ammo to do so the job.” I said.

“You ain't joking about the opportunity you are offering I would have only one Stipulation I would need to see this base for myself before I even contract I must know if it is true.” Gawd said.

“Fare enough. That can be arranged I have Two additional stops before I head back to HQ I’m opening up trade and recruitment opportunity and even going on Live Dj Pon 3 broadcast.to announce the trade outpost Raptor Victory which I have to say is Over head right now. Officer of the Watch clocking shield down temporarily.” I said as Gawd Rushed to her window and looked up to see a raptor sitting there before it disappeared again.

Gawd turned back to me. “How the buck did you do that?” Gawd Asked.
“Ah thats a prototype stealth system developed for raptors my base has a prototype dragon killer raptor that this system was installed in unlike stealth bucks arrays that were installed on these raptors when we acquired them In the MoA warehouse in Fillydelphia we upgraded the stealth system on them as long as the power reactor that runs the system is up and going the ship has a stealth time of forty eight hours of non stop stealth. That was the Victory she’s being Lightly crewed at the moment along with finding the raptors we gained 19 ponies who like me were in cryo stasis ten of them are crewing the ship and nine are at the base. Six of this ships crew also comprise of beta team a six pony team Like my group well actually eight one of them is with me.” I said.

Gawd just looked at me. I raised an eyebrow as I removed my Helmet. “You alright there Gawd or did I just blow your mind?” I asked with a joke at the end.

That seemed to snap Gawd out of it. “Wha.” I couldn’t help but giggle a bit at the totaly confused griffin.

“Gawd If you want to see the base you will be brought onboard the Victory when we head back to base with an addition of ten more individuals the Victory would be fully staffed and crewed for combat with twenty she could be at full optimization of everything max crew 30 minimum crew 10 combat ready crew 20. Dragon killer class crew 50 and 100 with a 1000 troops capacity. I am hoping to get enough recruits to fully staff all Three raptors and the base. I am one pony I have a team of six including me I have a total of 18 Ponies besides my little group 10 of them are on the Victory crewing her 8 are at the base 6 of which are on communications and intel gathering arrays. The rest of the base is being looked after temporarily by the automated maintenance ponytrons. I would like to have them doing what they were designed to do instead of working the hydroponics equipment the manufacturing equipment is mostly automated tell it what to make and it will make it provided it has what it needs to make it.” I said with a honest smile on my face.

Gawd stiffly walked to her chair and sat down hard and in a quiet voice said. “If I had stumbled across this base I probably would be like what you feared happening I’d have power the best equipment a near impenetrable base of operations but Unlike most I would use it to help other but again contracts would be costly because of what It would cost to replace the needed materials.” Gawd said.

“Ah but thats why I am willing to deal in scrap junk and so on spent ammo casings scrap metals broken and busted guns hell even damaged armor I can use to keep material I have over Three Billion caps at my disposal and will be offering be willing to offer you quite a bit of caps to supply me with bodies to guard protect and defend merchants traders and caravans hauling goods that are coming from my base. Ditzy Doo is my Trader Liaison she will be hopefully be able to set up caravans I would like to contract you for guards to protect them and I would provide all necessary ammo and guns heck I’ll even be willing to train them for that purpose and you would get access to fresh foods medical supplies and so on.” I said.
Gawd Looked at me. “That right there is a dream contract that anyone would be a fool to pass up on real training having the food and medical supplies on top of the deal Littlepip set up as compensation for the assistance from Blackwing and her griffins.” I paused her there placing my hoof to my ear said something and a moment later a knock came at the door. “Sorry about interrupting you Gawd but there is more to that This is my contribution to you for helping Littlepip and stable 2.” I said as I opened the door and in walked Daisy and Moon Lilly hauling a trunk between them. They set it down in front of me and I motioned Gawd over. Gawdyna Grimfeathers for your aid rendered to Stable 2 and Littlepip,” I opened the trunk, “ I present to you a small weapons cache with Three Thousand rounds half AP rounds.” I said as Gawd looks in at the assault rifles and ammo. “Before you say anything there brand new never been fired and are well maintained was and there is 20 weapons here.” I couldn’t help but giggle at the expression on Gawds face.

“Th-that is impressive and scary that you're just giving military grade weapons away like that.” Gawd said.

I laughed before saying. “ Gawd each one of them weapons are being sold for 200+ caps a pop no exceptions and about two hundred pounds of scrap metal to even acquire one assault carbine and at least thirty pounds of scrap metal for a ammo box of ammo for it M.G..AP rounds that you have in there would cost more we are not stupid but we will supply the guards for Caravans and trade convoys with munitions and weapons to guard said groups and should we get more fliers we could even send a tortoise with them as added protection with additional ammo.” I said getting a grin from Gawd.

“Not taking any chances with the caravans are you.” Gawd asked.

“No.” I stated firmly. “There to important. Equestria needs them can’t let raiders steal or slavers getting ahold of supplies that they would not use for the good of others.” I added.

“Anyway we will be coming back to pick you up since you wish to see the base before making your final decision on whether to contract with me and the MoA recon stable 155.” I said.

We left Gawd to with a lot of thinking to do. As we took off and re-entered the Victory and was off again to Tenpony as we sat down for a break I opened a Direct com line with the M.A.S.E.B.S. and waited for a moment before Homage answered. “Hello?” she asked.

“Hello Homage its Cloud Striker my team and I are inbound but with this Red Eye blockade Tenpony how would we get in We are loaded with Food Medical supplies and weapons and ammo for said weapons. Also I need to speak to Dj Pon 3 I am opening Trade and recruitment for my unit so thinking of a live broadcast.” I said.

“Oh well you can always come in the same way Littlepip got in There is a roof sky wagon pad there was an Alicorn but it was eliminated.” Homage said.
“Oh that's wright they have a sky bandit skywagon Well we will be coming in almost there I’m bringing along with my mobal trade outpost even though she can’t land at Tenpony but I will send The tortoise back and forth transferring supplies for Tenpony I will of course barter for things so I will Like to speak to somepony in charge of Tenpony. I have Fresh grown Food stuffs and Fresh Medical supplies. I do not want to just give them away and there is a reason. I have learned that somepony in Tenpony who Hired merc’s to Kill and bring to them my equipment and everything I had on me so I want to find out who and why.” I said.

“Oh my when this happen?” Homage ask.

“The day I left Tenpony 3 merc’s were hired by a shady pony from what I understand they were wearing a clock with a hood. The merc’s failed and lost everything.” I looked over to Moon Lilly. “Anyway we will be there momentarily. We will talk when we get there. Cloud Striker out. With that said I closed the com we hooked back up and departed the Victory.

10 minutes later we landed at Tenpony to a reception of Littlepip Homage and Velvet Remedy.

“Hello everypony.” I said to them.

“Hi Cloud Striker.” Littlepip said.

“Alright everypony Get things arranged offload the tortoise and supply wagon then get more from the Victory. I Want you Moon Lilly to guard the supplies after I talk to somepony in charge of the tower itself. I am willing to trade and barter with the tower, but I will not do so if I’m being hunted by the ponies in charge of the tower considering the merc’s were paid five hundred caps upfront with another seven hundred for completion of the job. I’m not sure who in the tower could pay such a contract.” I said sighing.

“Whoever it is no mater who has broken the law of Tenpony even Hiring merc’s to do the job is still breaking the law.” Said Homage.

“Agreed Like I said I’m willing to do business with Tenpony Tower I can not just give away freely what I am offering for trade or barter. I will deal with scrap metal and just about anything junk would do. Details can be worked out later luckily it's not raining right now.” I said as Storm took of for the next load.

“Alright Homage. Is it possible to speak to one of the ponies in charge of Tenpony I would like you to quietly investigate who might have hired this group large expenditures or resources for supplies and trade. I would like to deal with somepony who’s in charge since I brought supplies for the tower Dealing with someone involved in the Tower not just the merchants I am after all an outsider and from what I hear my word doesn’t mean anything here.” I said.

“Well yes I did speak to somepony He is willing to speak to you and will meet with you in the tower in a moment I’m to bring you to him but he had a stipulation that must be followed. That is no armor or weapons whatsoever are to be in attendance all is to be turned in at security.” Homage said nervously.

I looked at Homage reached up and Pulled off my helmet then looked at her again before I got back on the com. “Captain Bring down our Dress Uniforms change into yours before you leave the Victory. Seams that Tenpony doesn’t want us in Armor when meeting the Towers rep even going so far to stipulate that we are to turn our armor in as Security I will not Let our armors in the hoofs of the ponies in charge of this tower So I’ll be leaving my Armor I want Beta team to Secure the roof landing area No one is Authorized to approach until the all clear. The society of this tower has just made a mistake in demanding this and there will be harsh words when I meet this pony.” I closed the com channel after finishing speaking. Looking back up at Homage, Littlepip and Velvet Remedy.

“Homage I do not like the fact that someone in this Tower has hired some ponies to kill me and get my equipment and now has made a demand that I hoof over Military grade Power Armor and munitions that No pony could possibly use in this Tower for one The armor is designed for a pegasus second No one could use it even if I should be dead the armor is DnA locked to me something I insisted on that so Only I could use that armor it’s the very first model a prototype of Storm Wings armor only 50 were thought to have been made with over a 1000 in production I will not let it fall into someone's hands that would potentially use it against the people of the wastelands.
