Author's Notes:

Making this chapter with Azure5555 was ALOT of fun, I hope to do it again.

I had reformed back to my unicorn after sending my token into the void.

Hours later, the mane six indeed get a celebration and were honored with two glass windows added to the halls, one showing Discord’s defeat, and another showing me being befriended. It was… kind of embarrassing to be honest, but at least I was free, a royal guard came to my room, telling me that the twins wanted to see me, the guard left and before I could do the same, another token came forth from a portal, a dark crystal ball with a spinning star, I picked it up and received a message.

“If you ever find yourself in need,”
“You will find me an ally indeed.”
“But be warned, this goes both ways,”
“And be ready when it comes time to pay.”
“Smash this orb upon the floor,”
“And call upon me, the Shadow Queen.”
...Judging from the voice, it was a female, I didn’t like it when she said that it would go ‘Both ways’, but it made sense, if I summon her for help, I will need to do the same in return, she scratches my back, and I'll scratch hers.

At this point, I now had three tokens in my possession, a red scarf, an eye, and a crystal ball. I wrapped the scarf around my neck and absorbed the sapphire eye into my body, placing it hidden behind my right eye and then hidden the marble sized crystal behind my left, I made a mental note to get myself a bag, or rather a small saddle pouch to be exact, I double checked my face in the mirror and was satisfied how well hidden two of the tokens were.

Walking out of the room and following the pony guard outside, I arrived the royal sister’s meeting room which held a large table painted in the colors of Sun and Moon, there the two sat on opposite sides, I took a seat at the front.

“Would you like some tea, Echo?” Celestia asked in a calm polite voice… Come to think of it, I just realized I've never had anything to drink OR eat for… a VERY long time.. is my body even capable of a digestive system? Can I even taste? I made a second mental note to try and experiment with it later on.

[I’ll need to decline that for now, thanks for offering.]

Celestia smiled and placed her teacup down. “Now, from the start, how do you use Chaos Magic?” I took this moment to think about it, honestly using those powers is like breathing once you’ve learned how to channel it.
[I suppose it requires a calm mind, you can draw the energy from any chaotic event or minor disharmony, it can range from a petty argument to a physical fight, you mentioned that the flow of time can be chaotic as well, I’m drawing upon that energy as we speak, it's what helps me use spells like levitation.] I demonstrated this by lifting one of the quill that laid on the table, my unicorn horn glowed just like them. [I presume my magic is just yours, but as Celestia mentioned, my chaos is calm as long as I don’t draw upon too much from the nearby sources.]
“Balance then?” Luna spoke up, her interest now grabbed.
[In a way, yes, too much chaos can overwrite logic and reasoning, much like what happened to… Discord..]

The rest of the conversation was pretty much discussing on how Chaos Magic, or energy is used, I had decided that instead of giving them some of it in order to use it, I allowed them to experiment by drawing upon the Chaos Emerald, progress has been made and it seems that Chaos Magic is rather similar to how unicorn magic is learn, the difference is that there is a lot more pressure being applied and the magic can go haywire if you try to use it without a calm peaceful mind and total concentration.

Night was drawing near and for this time we decided to relax for the rest of the day, Luna has been slowly easing off her anger toward me, thank the Gods above for that, she shows the most promise when using the chaos energy while Celestia tends to struggle, she has a peaceful mind but she needs work on her concentration, she tells me that when focusing, it makes her feel like her horns being pulled.

I returned to my room and I was now alone with my own thoughts, taking this moment, I took out one of the Tokens, the red saphire eye, I stared at it’s service in concentration, trying to decide if I should do it or not…

The universe however decided for me as a violet and turquoise burst of magic dropped what seemed to be a bipedal being.

“Ow...Twi you gotta work that landing...Twi?”

The being rose to his feet and began to view his surroundings.

“This isn't the observatory…”

I could not believe my own eyes, it was humanoid in appearance, something similar akin to the form I had tried when I sent my token into the void. [How did you do that? Who are you?] I asked with confusion in my voice, I hadn’t even tried yet…

The being, visibly shaken and startled immediately began to spin in place, looking up and down and left and right constantly before finally facing me.

Golden eyes bore into my own as I noticed several scars and a turquoise version of my token lodged into a cavity in his chest.

“What? Was that disembodied voice you...Chaos…” He said slightly more startled this time as he fell on his backside.

“Ow...son of a...did you bring me here somehow?” He asked with a calmer tone.

[Apparently so.] I said, telekinetically holding up the red sapphire eye. [Although, I wasn’t even trying, I was merely pondering, but it seems it heard my thoughts and brought you here… May I ask why my fake chaos emerald is lodged in your chest?]

He tilts his head to the side and starts to rub his chest. Worry apparent in his face.

“Oh no…” He grunts as he pulls on the gem and stares at it.

“I don't think you summoned me...There must have been a feedback loop on that teleportation spell. Oh crap. Please tell me the Elements aren't hunting you!”

He scrambled to his feet and began to pace in panic.

“Twilight has my heart...I have forty minutes at best til this body dissolves…”

He continued his panicked pacing as I attempted to gain his attention. [Calm yourself down, I don’t think that will be happening, my chaos emerald is with your chest, you’re being powered by my Chaos Energy.] I said to the humanoid creature, hoping that this information will ease his mind. [With a few benefits, of course]

He immediately slammed the gem back into his chest as it and he began to glow.

“You're right! I feel much better! Oh...oh Doc is gonna kill me...nevermind!” He shook his head and turned on his heel to face me again. A smile upon his lightly scarred face.

“So my ponified friend, how'd you end up in the multi-verse? Oh damn it,” he slapped his palm against his forehead as if he was remembering something.

He then struck out his open hand. “Azure. But you probably guessed that…”

I extended my hoof toward Azure, but before he can react, I slowly formed the hoof into a hand similar to Azure’s. [Pretty much by your Token’s message] I reached over to shake his hand. [I am Echo, Entity of Water and former God of Destruction, assuming you got my Token’s message, and no, I am not being hunted by the elements, but I was sealed in a block of ice for a thousand years due to a few… unwanted events.] I sighed at the memory, if I could rewind time, I’d of prevented it… Then again, I probably wouldn’t had met three displaced and discover who I am.

The humanoid graciously shook my formed hand.

“Well, that seems to be a recurring theme. First guy I met was asleep for roughly the same time and I was imprisoned for fifteen hundred years. But that's all in the past! So, how'd you end up the embodiment of Chaos?”
[Chaos? But I’m E-. oh, right, Displaced… ] I then proceeded to tell Azure my life story from start to finish, from my awakening as a pool of to water, earning my name from Clover The Clever, befriending Starswirl, to discovering more of my powers, to meeting two of the mane six’s ancestors Quality and Aurora Sparkle, to my icy imprisonment by the royal twins all because Starswirl became Discord and then sent me into a raging frenzy from pumping my body with too much power, transforming me into a draconic beast and flooding most of a quarter of Equestria, cue to years later, my re-awakening after Discord broken break himself, my encounter with the mane six, and last Celestia forgiving me quite easily, once my story was told, I pushed the saphire’s red eye, hiding it within my head and behind my own eyes, being made of water has its perks though and I can store small things. [Travis was the only one who filled in the gaps of my memory, something about a car crash and me drowning]

His eyes held a sadness to them, perhaps he experienced something similar?

“Well, I thought I had it bad...being forced to destroy...that isn't right. Where’s this world’s Discord now.” Asked Azure.

[Sealed in stone thanks to the Elements Of Harmony and returned to the garden, this time one of the guards placed a warning sign incase it happens again.] I said with a shrug. [As long as he’s away from me, I’ll be in full control of my powers]

“Could you take me to him. I need to make sure.” He asks with sternness in his eyes.

[Uh… the guardspony are gonna question on how you got in here… How am I to-] Realization soon dawn on me, OF COURSE. [Actually, I have a thought] I took out Red Chaos Emerald. [Are you familiar with the aspects of Chaos Magic?]

“Am I familiar with Chaos Magic!? Pfft, I’m the thirteenth Lord of Chaos! Of course I'm familiar!” He exclaimed happily with a thumb pointing at himself.

[Ah, then you know how to use Chaos Control?] I asked, holding the red gem with both of my hoofs after having the previously formed has returned to its original appearance.

His body began to vibrate at an incredible rate as the emerald in his chest began to glow.

“It’snotallthatdifficultbutthishighspeedthingiskindaweird,” The glow stopped as his body slowed down from it's vibrating. “I could do more with the real thing, but I don't doubt that that would be a horrible idea.”

[I was planning to use Chaos Control to freeze time, guide you pass the guards and into the garden, thus allowing you a moment to see Discord without you being seen by said-guards, I’d rather not having them question on how you got here or see them attack you as a possible invader.] I said, holding the gem up in the air, I was prepared to use it either to teleport Azure, or he could repeat the same as me, speak the words, and join me in temporary frozen time.

Before I could tell him this however, he raised his right hand so it's backside faced me. Upon it, the sigil for the Elements of Harmony shone and disappeared.

“I could just tell em I'm on business. I may be off the clock, but I do get the perks.” He said with a coy grin.

I raised a watery eye ridge in pure confusion.. [Are you being contacted by… your universe’s version of the mane six?] I asked, feeling a little unsure.

He shook his head slowly. “I'm an envoy of Harmony. It happened when my world's Luna struck me with the Elements. If Celestia sees this she'd no doubt give me leeway in your world,” He then cocked his head back I'm thought.

“In fact, it may just give me jurisdiction in your world. Or they could attack me falsely…great now I'm having second thoughts.”

[...Celestia has never seen you in her life, and before you ask, No, it won’t work on Luna either, she can be a bit… judgemental against strange creatures, especially if she sees anyone stronger than her and her sister…] I said with a slight headshake.

“Ugh if only Twilight or Shining were here...okay, how are we getting out of here then?” Asked Azure, his hands on his hips.

[Like I explained, I can freeze time for a moment, lead you to the garden, and you can do whatever that is required] I wiggled the chaos emerald.

With a nod, he held his hand out in determination. “Hit it!”

I threw the emerald into the air. [Chaos...] and caught it as it drifted back down, I reached over with my horn’s magic to telekinetically hold Azure’s hand. [CONTROL!] a bright red light ignited from within the emerald, then sent out a burst of energy, time slowed down to a crawl and then froze, suddenly a powerful force lifts the two up and flies them over to the garden, the scene from around them moved like a blur, they arrive at the garden where Discord stood as a statue, said-statue had a mixed expression of fear and rage.

With a dazed shake, Azure looked upon the statue with a stoic expression.

“Okay, this can go very well...or very bad…” He lightly touched upon the emerald in his chest as a sickly purple light began to shine.

“HEY DE LANCIE! TASTE CHAORRUPTION!” Purple tendrils wrapped around the statue as Azure slammed his hands into the ground. The once fearful/angered expression upon the statue was replaced with one of true fear as rainbow light engulfed the tendrils.

Now apart of the statue, the tendrils became stone as if holding him in place from the ground up.

“That's for the tree you...huff...you crazed beast…” Azure promptly fell flat upon his face.

I blinked in even more confusion than before. [...That’s not Chaos Magic, is it? I really hope its not, I mean Starswirl became Discord because of an overdose of it…] I walked over to the statue, but kept my distance from the tendrils, not wanting for the stuff to affect me as well… or worse possibly absorb it and alter my form.

I walk over to the downed humanoid and begin to prod him with a loose branch as it glowed with a faint rainbow light. A snore was my response to the act.

“Starswhirl you old coot...stop trying to examine that…” Whispered Azure in a lucid state.

-Mindscape: Hero POV-

“Starswhirl you old coot! Stop trying to examine that!” I yell at the stubborn unicorn as I hold his tail in my grip.

“But this is unprecedented! After so many years I can finally hear myself think! I must know what binds him!”

“Him” is in the form of Discord, being held tightly by constantly shifting tendrils of harmonious chaos. How I pulled that off I'll never know...maybe If I were drunk?

“To Tartarus with you cursed monster! I! MUST! KNOW!” Cried the desperate Unicorn in agitation.

“I will put you in the same damn situation if you don't behave!” I yell in a scolding manner.

[... The poor guys out cold..] I said with a sigh, seriously hoping that wasn’t true chaos since the name was in the words Chaorruption.. Perhaps it's a different form of chaos in a different elemental plain, Gods above help us all if Discord ended up more powerful, I wouldn’t forgive myself if that was the case…

I quickly levitated Azure’s body by surrounding his body with my chaos magic, I performed Chaos Control once again and returned both of us to my rooms… Hopefully Celestia didn’t sense an of that, or else Gods help me she begins questioning me, or worst Luna accuses me of betraying them, I shook my head to clear my current thoughts, I picked up Azure and laid him onto my bed, he can use mine, it isn’t like i’ll be using it, I don’t require sleep as long as chaos energy continues to fill my well being. For now, I meditate into peace and await when Azure returns to the awakening world.

Hours pass as a violet light blinks on the floor, followed by several dial tone chimes.

My peaceful thoughts were interrupted when I heard that, I opened my eyes and stared in the direction at where they came from, I saw the lights but could not pinpoint their source, I was reminded of something from my past… I searched around yet did not see any physical indicator, nor did it come from Azure, my hoof steps accidently brush against something.

A voice began to emanate from the floor.

“Master!? Are you there?” Said the voice.

More voices began to join it.

“Is that the hero! Ooh ooh, Tell him I said hi!

“Lyra please...Hello! Please answer me!”

“Could he have...fallen?”

“Not the teddy bear…”

I was growing a little annoyed by so many voices entering the room and of course it was drawing attention.. [Who are you ponies?!] I asked in a whispered voice. [Keep it down whoever you are, are you trying to attract the Guardspony] Despite my voice being lower in tune, my telepathic voice rung true like my name-sake, it would no doubt echo in their minds.

“Ooh...puddle!”

“What are you? Is Azure safe? Is he injured?”

[Puddle? Wait.. You ponies can see me? Yes, Azure is fine, he’s just a bit worn after sending his.. Chaorruption? Into Discord.. No, not your Discord, I mean the one in my world] I said, going by Azure’s words about Multiverses.

“No, none of us should be able to see you. And I've never heard of Chaorruption before. This is Twilight by the way. The one who said puddle is a zebra that goes by Oracle. Is...that what you are?” Asked Twilight.

[Only a thousand years ago I once was nothing but a puddle, or a pool to be exact. You are half-correct, I’m an Entity of Water and a shapeshifter.] I said, looking around to see if by chance this… magic? Could possible project this other Twilight onto a image, a Hologram or something so that I could show that Azure is indeed alright.

With a cautious mind I tap into Azure’s emerald and tap the source of the sound...I was greeted by an image of Twilight surrounded by various ponies and another humanoid.

“How did you do that?” Asked Twilight with intrigue.

[Simple, considering that you’re capable of contacting him, I’ve used the Fake Chaos Emerald to establish a connection between your world and mine, it’s stable for the time being, you can see me clearly, correct?] I said, looking toward the image of Twilight.

Before she could answer, the screen was covered by hollow eyes and an almost adorable grin.

“Puddle…” Twilight promptly moved her away from the screen.

“I apologize, she hasn't been herself for quite sometime. We can see you clearly, I'd ask to study you, but I don't think Master Azure would approve.”

[You wouldn’t be the first though] I said with a sigh, I still remember how excited Starswirl got when he discovered me. [For the time being, he is sleeping in one of Canterlot’s rooms.]

“Tell me my sister doesn't have an underground lab under the castle.” Said a blindfolded mare with a groan who looked much like Luna, but without a horn.

[...I… don’t think she does… You mean my world of your Celestia? Yea, I don’t think she does…] I said, stroking my chin with hoof. [Not unless it becomes a thing since I’ve been teaching her and her sister about Chaos Magic]

“Five hundred bits says they had to seal Starswhirl.” Says “Luna” offhandedly...offhoofedly?

“So the hero is okay?” Asked the feline humanoid.

[Yes, for the time being.. Although..] I held the red chaos emerald near Azure’s chest-gem, focusing softly, I started to slowly pour my magic into the purple turquoise gem, trying to provide Azure just enough energy to wake up on his own, while the Fake Emerald may contain chaos energy, it is smaller than the original and regenerates much slower.

Groans could be heard as Azure lifted himself up.

“Yeah you better stay put...hm? Am I back in your room? Is that Twilight?”

The screen was once again taken up by hollow eyes and an adorable smile.

“Teddy bear!”

“Yes yes, we're glad he’s safe Oracle.” Stated Twilight in annoyance.

“Well, I guess this means I'm going back.” Stated Azure as he got to his feet.

[I don’t believe that would be wise, I am concerned for your well being, Azure, my fake chaos emerald did end up in your chest during your… or whoever’s teleport spell failure] I said, giving it a fine examination. [My guess is when I sent my Token into the void, it arrived in your world and was heading to your destination, and you tried teleporting, thus ended up in it’s path.]

“No, it must have fallen off of me somehow...as I wasn't holding it at the…” Azure face palmed as he sat back down.

“I was reaching for my heart and must have jammed the emerald into my chest by accident...which caused the feedback, which brought me here. Stupid dimensional inventory…” Azure thusly proceeded to hang his head in shame.

[Despite being an accident, at least it can serve as an alternative power source and allow you to experiment with Chaos Spells.] I leaned forward and whispered to Azure [Such as controlling the flow of time, fire bolts of chaos, combine the emerald’s power with your own.] I leaned back… Hopefully Twilight didn’t hear any of that.

But as if the Gods themselves saw fit to toy with me…

“Master Azure, you'll be teaching me about Chaoruption won't you? She leaned in to the screen, Oracle whispering at her side.
“As well as the applications of your substitute heart? Like time manipulation and thrown projectiles?”

I mentally face-palmed-... no, face-HOOFED at that moment. [You weren’t suppose to hear that, but if you must learn it, just… be careful when you try to use it… Let’s just say the first unicorn I tried teaching about Chaos Energy…. Didn’t turn out quite right…] I said, looking over at Azure, hopefully Azure will heed my warning that chaos energy, while it may not corrupt if used by the emerald’s power, it can corrupt if it is drawn by chaotic events, thus creating energy, more so if it's unicorns arguing, fighting, causing destruction, they generate the most chaotic energy.

“You all owe me five hundred bits!” Cried Luna.

“Wait, there was a bet!?” Asked Azure.

I mentally groan at how nonchalant they had all been acting. A clawed hand on my shoulder kicked me from my musings.

“I won't be teaching her everything, she knows that.” Said Azure with a reassuring smile.

[Good, the only race I’d ever trust my magic with would be Alicorns or anyone with a chaos emerald] I said to myself, I looked toward the door of the room, I’m surprised that none of the Canterlot guards have come in, no message from Celestia or Luna.. Either today they’re very busy with their Royal duties or the Gods are smiling upon me today.

“...mmmmBOY It's cold out there!” Exclaimed another mysterious voice.

Oh no…

From the shadows emerged a bipedal form garbed head to toe in red and white leather. It looked like a ninja...it almost seemed familiar. I looked to Azure as his face paled.

“Frostpool...how...when…”

[....ffffFFFFFFFFFFF- ok, we need to move this conversation somewhere else, it is getting too risky and i’d rather not have any of the royal sisters discover you guys.. Ok, maybe Celestia would welcome you with open arms but Princess Luna…] I stopped myself in mid-sentence, mentally kicking myself at the moment and at my own mistakes.

“Oh don't worry about them! They're busy with a...situation.” Stated Frostpool as he giggled to himself.

-Elsewhere-

“Forty cakes Luna! That bountiful treasure is waiting somewhere!!” Exclaimed the solar princess.

“Pfft...forty cakes…” Said Frost with another giggle.

[...What do you mean... ] I asked with a watery eyebrow. [What, Celestia likes cakes or something?] To be honest, I knew very little of Celestia, so I guess cake became her thing after she and Luna sealed me in ice, tonight I’ll need to ask Luna about it… assuming she hasn’t felt the many magical disturbances.. I looked up at the screen, wondering if Twilight, Luna, or Oracle have anything to say on the matter, since they’re still viewing the imagery that goes around here.

To my surprise, the group had huddled over a table of cards.

[If there is nothing else to discuss, perhaps I should end the projection for now untill you need your hero Azure’s help.] I said.

The group waved goodbye as Oracle gave a wide grin as the projection faded away.

“Jeez how messed up is she am I right?” Said Frost.

“Back into the inventory please…” Said Azure as he pinched the bridge of his nose.

“Hmm...nah! I think I'm gonna hang here for a bit! It'll beat trying to fight off a giant fire dragon.”

[....Inventory? Giant fire dragon?? What???] I think my mind just entered the Twilight zone and I ain’t talking about the unicorn…

“Frostpool here is a self aware suit of armor with the ability to break reality...kind of like Pinkie...Don’t you jump out that window!” Exclaimed Azure, as Frost had one leg out of an open window.

“Yes mom!”

Azure groaned as he continued. “As such he’s part of my inventory. The burst of magic must have freed him somehow. As for the fire dragon...Equestria is currently under high alert due to a sudden invasion. It's nothing I can't handle.”

I went into a moment of silence as I was deep in thought, also remembering the actually original from last night. [Azure, seeing as you know of the creature i’ve been Displaced as, perhaps you could tell me. How many Chaos Emeralds do you think there are? Well, besides my fake emerald in your chest and my red chaos emerald I hold in my possession.]

“Seven. Including the master,” Said Azure matter of factly. “Why do you ask?”

[Then I must be correct.. See, I found this Chaos Emerald back in the Everfree Forest, standing in what used to be my… I guess what used to be my home, the place I woke up in when I was a pool, I mean the emerald appeared there a thousand years later after my ice imprisonment.] I said, hopping Azure would shine some light. [I plan to seek out the others before it falls into the wrong hands, Discord was bad enough, but what other vile beings could there be?]

Frost began to count his fingers. “Bug Queen, Emo King, Evil Marshmallow, and Goat Face. Am I missing someone?”

“I don't think the Nightmare will be a problem in this world.” Stated Azure.

[Well, atleast the list is small according to possible universal simulations..] I crossed my hoofs and sat down. [So either a new one will rise that we didn’t expect, or I might be get lucky and find the gems without anyone discovering how to use them.]

“Catman!” Cried Frost.

“Auhixotle? Sorry, damn Mexican heritage. Auizotl. He may be a problem as well,” Added Azure.

“Well, we don't have an echidna, and Frost wants to hang here...want the help of the greatest map in existence?”

I blinked a couple of times at that. [...Greatest map… in existence??] I asked with a raised water-ridge.

“Do the thing!” Exclaimed Azure with a raised finger.

“Do I look like Xu Li?” Retorted Frost as he formed a thin screen and expanded it. The screen was a massively detailed map of Equestria, with a flick it moved to the gryphon kingdom, then the dragonlands, and so on.

[It’s a start.. Hmmm… I recognize the Everfree Forest and Canterlot, but the rest is all new territory to me…] I commented, looking at the map closely.. [the… Dragonlands? Might be a good place to start, I mean dragons love treasure, right?]

“HEY YEAH! Matches might be a problem too!” Added Frost.

“Dragonlord Torch? We don't actually know if he's a resident of the main timeline. You two may have to ask Celestia.” Stated Azure.

[I would, but isn’t she occupied by her cake?... She’s going to gain quite a lot of fat, I mean if sugary treats are…] I stopped in mid-sentence as I shook my head of a distance memory. [..the same as what I can somehow remember..]

“If she's smart, she'll realize I sent her on a goose chase,” Frost then leaned in close to whisper: “I hid them under the throne.”

“Well, you two have your fun. I need to make sure Luna and Oracle aren't abducted again.” Stated Azure as he tapped the emerald in his chest.

A rift opened in the middle of the room as he made his way. “If you ever wanna hang out in my neck of the woods, just rip a portal with that eye. Frost! Make sure to tell him what it can do...and leave him a contract!” With that, Azure disappeared into the rift.

A moment of silenced filled the room. [Wait.. did he leave that map here incase I or we need it?]

“Pfft, I AM the map.” Stated Frost.

Suddenly, I’m remembering a rather annoying song from some… mexican explorer.. [...Right, we should go find Celestia and ask her a few questions on the current DragonLord, then plan where to go from there.]

“Sounds like a plan! Just let ol’ Frosty handle everything!”

[Let you handle it? I fear of what you might do, considering you outsmarted a sun goddess of sorts.] I headed over to my room's door, opening it and into the Canterlot hallways, heading toward the throne room, if they’re not there, then i’ll try the meeting room.

“To greater adventure! But I'm gonna need me a personal pony!”

[If you dare ride my back like some sort of Knight’s horse, I’ll buck ya off, or worse, leave you frozen in time for a bit.]

“And get my suit wet?” Responded Frost. “No gracias hambre.” He stated in a butchered Spanish accent.
