Chapter 15: Babysitting
Previous Chapter"Thanks for doing this on such short notice, Green," said Pinkie. "With the cakes on their 2nd Honeymoon and my date with AJ, I thought I'd have to cancel."
"No problem, Pinkie. I offered after all."
"I'll be home at 10." She waved goodbye one last time before leaving through the front door. It was just me with Pumpkin Cake and Pound Cake. I volunteered to babysit the twins at Sugarcube Corner.
"Hi guys." I looked at them like Pinkie after a sugar high. They looked at me with horror written on their little faces. "Sorry." I stopped and picked them up. Their faces turned back to normal as we went over to the TV. I put in 'Pokemon: Arceus and the Jewel of Life' magically. We sat down.
After it ended, we were all crying. I smelled the air, knowing they needed a diaper change and took them to the changing table. I did the proper technique and soon, they were clean.
"Playtime!" I carried them to their room to play. Pumpkin teethed on a tortuous toy while Pound crawled around, looking for toys. I went up to Pumpkin. "Look. You found Tank." Pumpkin thought it was Tank and spit it out. She cried silently, came up to me and held it out. "Look. He's back to normal." I magically held it in the air and Pumpkin giggled in delight. I flew the toy near Pumpkin and made it kiss her. Pumpkin just giggled more.
I turned around to see Pound holding a Spike doll.
It was SO cute. I let him ride on my shoulder, holding the doll. Pumpkin also joined in and held onto my shoulder. "Neigh." I pretended to be a stereotypical horse for them to ride. They enjoyed it.
*Grumble* Pumpkin blushed after her stomach begged for food. "Snack Time." We went downstairs to the kitchen. I put them in their highchairs and went to get some baby food. "Who's hungry?" They happily clapped their hooves on the highchair to show they were. I opened the tiny bottle that looks like this:
It did have a filly on the front, though. Anyway, it was a new product from the Apples (First Apples). I opened the bottle. The spoon scooped up the baby food. I held the spoon up to their mouths and they opened them. I pushed the spoon in gently and did the same when pulling them out. They both reached for me. I held them on my shoulders and patted their backs gently.
*BURP*
*BURP*
They were ready for bed by the look in their eyes. Baggy and dropping eyes, I carried them to bed. I sung them Fluttershy's lullaby and they went to sleep.
Pinkie returned later that night. She went upstairs to find me sleeping on the floor of the baby's room. I opened my eyes and looked at the babies.
"Green."
"Green."
I cried as Pinkie helped me up. We quietly exited the bedroom and went downstairs. "Thanks a lot for looking after them."
"Anytime." I walked to the exit and flew back to Dashie's place. I had fun today.
