This is a spiritual sequel / prequel / alternate version to Liquid Pride. It will still have the same feeling, but it won't really be directly tied to the original story line.

I finished writing Liquid Pride shortly after the end of Season 3. It was a fun ride as I wrote it, although it was something I wrote as I went, and just sort of made it up as I went along, episode by episode. When I ran out (during the break after season 3) I hastily wrapped up the story with the ending. I had become anxious to move on to other projects. I will be the first to admit that the ending felt rushed, and some of the characters felt, well, out-of-character for it. Some people felt that it was an unsatisfactory conclusion when compared to the rest of the story.

Most of all, myself.

Liquid Pride has cast a long shadow for me to get out from under, in terms of writing a follow-up. A lot of show canon has changed since then, and I wanted to incorporate it. So I'd like to think that we can all be mature enough about how the Liquid Pride continuity is handled in this story.

I hope you all enjoy reading this as much as the first. I certainly enjoyed writing it!

But you really should read Liquid Pride. It's pretty fking good!
