Chapter 73: The Plains of Spirita

Previous Chapter Next Chapter

Birds chirp in the distance across a bright jungle-esc environment before Starlight and Alexander are spat out of the same portal that they jumped through. Groaning, Alexander shuffles himself, blinking his eyes open as he glances around.

"It's disgustingly bright..." Alexander comments, sitting up as Ventus sighs beside him.

"For once, I concur..." Ventus states before jumping up to hover with his little wings.

Turning around behind him, Alexander's hand lands on something very soft and decently sized. Raising an eyebrow, he gives it a rough squeeze which makes Starlight moan.

"N-Now is not the time Alexander~" Starlight blushes as Alexander fully looks back to see the mare laying down behind him.

Alexander takes his hand away, much to her disappointment before Starlight sits up herself, taking a glance around their new surroundings. Standing up to brush off her skirt, she begins to explore a little.

"Do try not to partake of every pretty berry thou happens to set thy sights upon... Not all of them taste good, I assure you." Ventus comments, hovering about the two as he gets his bearings back.

Growling lowly, Ventus begins leading through the apparent jungle, looking for a way through. It takes the Dragon several minutes while he remembers the route, pushing through some brush to bring them out onto an edge which overlooks an expansive meadow, filled with bright blue grass, exotic plants and complete with a wide variety of both cute or vicious-looking wildlife.

"It's gorgeous..." Alexander stands there breathless, looking over the expanse before them. Ventus feels a hard beat within his chest for the first time in centuries that was truly not his own, giving Alexander a glance.

"It really is, while not as exotic or bright, the colours remind me of my home." Starlight sighs, taking a deep breath.

Ventus lets them soak in the atmosphere as he scans around for where he wants to go, finding it reasonably quickly. He hurries the pair along, leading them down a path which leads to the plains itself, however, their progress was quickly halted as he spotted a herd of horses coming towards them from across the plains, several are on fire.

"Ah, shit... It figures he'd be the first to feel thy return... Thou would prefer to avoid this old acquaintance if entirely possible." Ventus states as they start running, the equines already catching up when the Dragon looks past Starlight and Alexander.

It doesn't take the trio long to get cornered by the large herd next to a cliffside, below is an expansive swampland of varying fauna. Several of the equine part to let through an imposing Unicorn stallion with black skin, lush white fur and a large crooked horn, his amber eyes staring down Ventus. "After all this time... I never thought you'd have the gall to return given your abrupt banishment, Dragon god of wind... Ventus..."

Ventus glares at the Unicorn, clearly not happy to see him as he growls, "Ixion, been a while you glorified horse battery... To what doth I owe this unfortunate pleasure?"

Ixion huffs, glaring back at Ventus before looking at both Starlight and Alexander. "I'm not sure how you've gone and done it... But you know full well there are proper channels for allowing... Visitors." He stares at Starlight.

Alexander sighs, glancing back to look down, weighing his options as he turns back around. "I'm guessing he's going to want us to go with him or something?"

Ventus glances at Alexander, as Ixion huffs again. "That would be preferred... It'd simply be bad manners to let you wander around here-"

Before Ixion can finish his statement he's taken aback by the abrupt actions of Alexander, who grabs both Starlight and Ventus before jumping off the cliff. Using his snapping technique, Alexander rushes forming a compressed construct of air to take the brunt of their fall, still hitting the trees a little quickly. After passing through them, the trio is deposited on the ground, Ventus looking up to see the herd disperse from the edge above them.

"Thou art fucking nuts... You didn't even know if magicians could use magic here." Ventus groans as he makes himself hover again midair.

Alexander brushes himself off and helps up Starlight, "If I couldn't, I imagine you would have... I came here to accomplish something, I don't have time to be babysat by a bunch of horses. Though in hindsight it was a lot better up in the meadow, compared to down here."

Their surroundings have been vastly altered to reflect a lush, verdant swampland with trees and marshes. Starlight rubs her arm as the air is particularly unpleasant in both aroma and temperature.

"I'm not a fan of this icky environment either..." Starlight sighs deeply.

Alexander stands up to brush himself off before helping Starlight to her feet. Ventus sighing deeply as he's forced to get his bearings once more. Sniffing the air, he reels slightly, "The swampland... My favourite..." He states in distaste as he leads them forward once more, flying over or under obstacles.

The swamp itself smelt horrible yet not enough to warrant an extreme reaction. The assortment of rare and exotic plants enough to distract them from the sounds as they walked further through the thick brushes. Struggling a little, Starlight sighs as she narrowly avoids a mud bubble, falling slightly into Alexander's arms.

"Steady, last thing your fur needs is to fall in the mud here." He chuckles, helping her across some large lily pads that span a small pond. "Despite the rugged introduction, what's your opinion thus far?"

Starlight rolls her eyes before folding her arms, "There's no downside to getting a little dirty... Well, it's beautiful and feels different, even to Equestria."

Alexander squeezes the mare's hips as he lifts her off a log onto steady footing. "If it gets dirty I won't lick you," Watching Starlight blush deeply, Alexander chuckles, "Still, it's vastly more than I ever imagined. Many magicians dream of coming to Spirita, then only a select few have actually seen this wondrous place... The air feels like electricity, there's magic buzzing in every single atom and it's intense." He takes a deep breath, exhaling slowly with preparation in his voice.

"You're an odd one to think of such a dangerous place as wonderous... She was odd in the same way." Ventus states under his breath making Starlight raise an eyebrow.

Reeling himself in a little, Alexander glances at the small Dragon hovering in front of them. "I'm assuming as you've let us get this far, you know a way we can find the familiar who would have answered Edward's summons a few months ago?"

"I already know who it is and she is no fan of I, let me tell you... I'm more worried about running into someone else I haven't seen for several centuries. Look, there's a gap in the cliff face up ahead, we'll find shelter within while I figure out our next move." Ventus states as Alexander raises an eyebrow.

The trio cross one last section of swampland before reaching the sizeable crack, big enough for a fully grown Dragon one would assume. Passing through what looks like a dark, damp cave, Starlight moves closer to Alexander. Seeing a light in the distance, the tunnel opens up to a sparkling cavern full of sparse crystals in the ceiling which illuminate the surroundings in serene blue light. Down some steps to the left is a medium-sized crystal clear pool being cycled in by a small beautiful waterfall. Meanwhile on the right side of the cavern are two beds of, what looks like fresh large cuts of grass, one being of a much larger size than the other.

"This is gorgeous... Is it safe to swim? I feel it'd help after that swamp." Starlight inquires, already stripping her academy uniform.

"Yes, yes... Least it should be, I'm sure if it isn't Alexander can handle it. I need to look around so you kids play nice." Ventus states glancing at the already naked mare before rolling his eyes, hovering over to the large bed to inspect it.

Alexander does the same as Starlight, stripping naked to slip into the pool of slightly warm water which makes her coo slightly. The mare swimming around to explore while teasing her boyfriend idly under the water which makes him return the favour in kind.

Hearing the noises from the pair below, Ventus rolls his eyes before hearing a faint whistling noise that sends shivers up his back. Suddenly, the little Dragon feels his body swept up into a silky embrace, swallowing hard while his head is brought back into intense softness. Looking up, Ventus is treated to the angelic smile of a pale woman with bright pink eyes, long eyelashes and hot pink hair. Sitting in a slanted position on the grass bed, the mysterious woman is shown to be wearing a sparse greek pure white dress which just barely crosses over her large DD pillows. The Dragon's eyes drawn to her sexy slender legs and matching grabbable hips as she feels his wings flutter against her. "It's been ever so long, hasn't it Venti?"

Swallowing hard, Ventus surrenders himself to her embrace, feeling a heavy guilt build within him. "I... There's nothing I can ever say that would make up for the time we've lost..." He looks down at the floor.

Ventus feels his head lifted and a gentle loving kiss pressed against his little muzzle, "How about, 'It's a pleasure to finally see your lustful visage again, my eternal Fylo?', then proceed to shower my silky body in passionate kisses and nips till I tell you to stop~" She giggles, cuddling him tightly between her heavenly breasts.

Ventus tilts his head, "I know you're mad at me... However, I'd do it all again in a heartbeat and still wouldn't hesitate." He leans his head up against her, met with equal nuzzling in return.

"I know, tis why I'm not mad. It's not something one would have done for selfish reasons. After all, any Dragon who would have done it differently isn't the Dragon I married." She strokes down his body, admiring his smaller frame which lets her smother him a lot more.

"You're several hundred years of pent up desire... Least I'd hope you are." Ventus raises an eyebrow at Fylo who gives him an unamused look.

"Sweetie, keep joking about my sex drive and you'll feel every second of those long lonely centuries in detail when I get really crazy. For now, I'll tease you... Who is the kinky pony and delicious human you brought with you?" She asks, nipping his ear as he shivers against her touch.

"My new magician and his Equestrian girlfriend... Don't get any ideas, he's packing but I wouldn't count on me sharing you." Ventus growls lowly which makes her adjust their position to lay him down, pressing her upper body against his small frame.

"Don't be a cruel tease, if he's your magician then I don't mind. I'd never consider it otherwise sweetie, but I'd want you both at once... Something for another time though. You know you shouldn't have come back here..." Fylo looks sad as she sighs, kissing his chest.

"I needed to... If not for you than for him... He's the most stubborn bastard I've ever met and insisted coming here of all places to help a friend." Ventus closes his eyes as he leans his head back against the grass.

Fylo giggles, "That should remind you of someone... Don't worry about those two, I've sprinkled a little something to help the mood so they'll be busy for a while... I want to indulge my Dragon husband who I've not felt in too long. I'm assuming this petite form has its benefits?"

Ventus smirks as he looks up to see the blue crystals turned pink, "Allow me to show you what those are, my silky Goddess."
