I’m seriously glad that the Wonderbolts and the dragons are out there, helping things. Don’t want to think what would have happened without them.

I put the standard maintenance message. At this point I’m not sure that anypony will even notice.

Everypony’s scared. The S.G.U. And Canterlot in general are very well protected, but anywhere else... having an anti-magic blizzard surround cities is devastating.

I’ve been going over the books with MightyDragon. There are several options we could try, but all have their risks, and we count ave only us to worry about right now. If this had happened an year ago things would have been different.

The issue is the Windigo. I’ve found ten ways I could disperse normal windigos, but none of them would work on him. From everything I’ve read the majority of windigos are matterless... and definitely affected by friendship.

I keep thinking that there’s something I’m not seeing! I really miss having my powers in Equestria! Things would have been over by now!

Edit: Sorry. I just feel responsible for starting this mess and... I really hope DarkSparkle and InItForTheShipping find something and fast. The way this things are going every major city will be frozen in two months. Just as the Windigo said.

LyraHands and TechNightling have gone dark and I don’t think we’ll hear them until this is over. Luna is busy as Tartarus and number1 has gone missing.

This is as bad as the Tirek invasion, only that it’s freezing instead of burning.

I am on Earth. Not MC Earth, but an Earth full of humans. The difference is that pretty much every human here is a mirror image of a pony in Equestria. Think of them as astral twins. And yes, there’s a portal that could get you here.

The problem is that with too much overlapping between realms bad things can happen (as in uncontrolled magic collapse on a universal scale). So, sadly there can’t be a mass evacuation like there was in MCE. A few visitors are okay, though.

@LightSparkle: well, we didn’t know it per se. I mean we knew it from a theoretical perspective, but no Princess Celestia never mentioned it. Although the research we’ve been doing is close.

Ever since the first anti magic storm, we have been conducting experiments on extra-Equestrian magic to resolve the issue. Of course, back then we didn’t know an evil Windigo was involved. We considered it a natural phenomenon. You know, the dark aether entropy that would gradually devour Equestria, depriving every living thing of magic.

It’s not exactly confidential, but it’s not discussed openly outside the research team. And there’s so much theory and calculations that the majority would get bored.

Well, since it’s secret time, I work for the Time Office. Officially it doesn’t exist and only responsible for setting clock and hourglass standards. The truth is that we fight time critters (horrible name I know).

The problem is... we only fight time critters. Like just last month we stopped something that eats up ponies’ childhood. There was a lot of going back and forth until we figured what’s going on. (I’m just an apprentice, by the way so I only file cases for now.) The point is we can’t affect non-time related events. :( Only pony tried and failed... and was also cast out.

The problem lies in the Windigo. It’s not that he does anything, rather that he stops doing things and that’s what gets us in trouble.

Let me try to explain. You know how normal Windigos bring ice with them? That why if they aren’t chased away everything becomes frozen? Their very being is a composed of cold, or mini entropy, so unless disrupted they freeze their surroundings (including magic, if they are active for long enough).

Based on the evidence, this Windigo has the opposite effect. He just “stops not preventing” anti magic storms to occur.

I understand! So it’s like he doing yell “storms come freeze this place” but rather the storms are constantly asking him “can we freeze this place” and he says “okay”.

But in that case why doesn’t he freeze the whole of Equestria in one go?

The theory is, based on the current data, that he has to actually go and say where’s it’s specifically okay to become frozen. Or rather where’s it’s okay to become non-unfrozen.
