This will probably sound like Griffin *yay* but I have a few things I want to say.

Last few days have shown me a lot. I've seen some *yay* go down—the worst, the best, and the saddest things in my life.

It's incredible how many things have been done. We got blankets, clothes and food, ponies fly in to help, Griffins keeping our spirits up. *yay* half Griffinstone is being rebuilt. By their time next month it will be a totally different city.

The saddest this is… why was it necessary for a Windigo attack for this to happen? I know you're all cool. You help out everyone here and in real life, but why doesn't anyone (especially Griffins) fix anything unless it's completely trashed to the ground? :/

Sorry…I've just had an influx of emotions, not all of the, good.

@Feather: it's part of life, I think :( This isn't Earth where everything is neat, nice, and organized. As much as we wish it to be, this is Equestria and we can only do our best and hope it's enough. There are a lot of good ponies out there, a lot of good Griffins, dragons, changelings, you name it, but we all tend to be a little self focused. I can't tell you how glad I am MC managed to make it possible for us to get together in our best.

I won't ask Nightlings to go out of their way to go searching to help others, but if you see something you think you could help with and feel you can, please consider it :)

What Lyra said. And don't rely on humans too much. I know they are these mythical creatures that can do no wrong, but as you've seen even in MC, they have their problems and corporations as well.

@all: Sorry for changing the topic, but I have an announcement. Originally I was going to post in a separate section, but I think what was said is important and deserves to be read.

As you've noticed I've been a bit weird lately. The reason is that I had to go to my scheduled pregnancy check (for those not familiar this is aimed to see that the future foal is healthy and in no danger).

The experience was nerve wracking! Thank the stars my father came with me for support. The waiting was the worst part of all. Now I know what “the seconds passed like hours” means.

The verdict: not only is my colt-to-be at no risk, but it seems he's also got a sister! :D That's right! In about four months I'll be having a pair of twin unicorns! I was so happy I cried for ten minutes. (Even my father felt embarrassed :P)

However, this means that my site activities will slowly diminish. I've already spoken to @DaBoss. After my magic exam next month I'll be taking a leave of absence from work.

Well, that's about it. You can start freaking out now :P

I'm not sure if anyone's aware, but we're months away from the birth of Nightling royalty :) The community will have its very own prince and princess (and millions of fans collectively went “Aww.”)

Let me be the first to congratulate you, along with Candle, on the joyous occasion!

No one has deserved this more than you. I'm talking about the things you had to go through, knowing the risks, pain, and consequences, to get to this point. The fact that the site has grown from ten users (I still remember those days) writing to each other in your—my apologies but dreadful—code to an aethernet marvell with over twenty five million users, that can collectively have a very real impact, as seen with the current relief efforts, is astounding.

To that I can only say two things:

1) We are here to support you in every way possible, be it code or real life.

2) I shall be locking the thread. Such an important occasion deserves more than a wave of “me too” posts. For all who want to congratulate LyraHands, do so properly in a deeply felt PM, or better yet in person.
