Lots of things happened, most of them bad, but I decided, for once, to not let them influence my present. Sorry for not writing earlier. I needed some time to think. There's nothing like your ex (heh... I still can't get used to calling Mota that) telling you he's found someone new but wants to be friends. Looking back on my life there were so many stupid things I was afraid of. It's almost funny thinking about it now. Dancing, singing up public, going out... I've decided no more. I don't care if it's awkward, I'm asking you on a date!

But seriously, I am inviting you out and will try to be the mare for once. That means I'll pay for everything, lend you a wing as you land, and all the little things. Hopefully, I won't mess things up too much.

That sweet, but you don't have to do it all just for me. While the change you've gone through is nice, don't force it. I like you for you. And don't expect me to be the fragile stallion, that's Blueblood's thing. I can tell you stories...and probably after a few drinks I will :) Of course, he'll kill me afterwards, but hey, so what? ;)

In general I'm not allowed to drink on duty, and it's preferable I limit my drinking as a while, but since I'm still on leave (Firefly extended it again. :/) I might as well have a glass in good company. And trust me it's much better that stallion's night out. Blueblood is such a mess when he gets drunk. He starts to complain about everything and everypony. Literally no one is safe, even his aunt. It's really a miracle he managed to find himself a marefirnd. (Personally I thought they'd break up after a month. It's been over two years.)

Where are you taking me? I'm pretty much okay with everything, but have lilac allergy. Nothing serious, but if I eat the, I might bet a bit puffy.

I'd prefer something in Ponyville, if that's okay with you? Earth pony flood is so much better. I'd offer to cook myself, but I'm quite bad at it (as Angel keeps reminding me). I didn't know about the lilacs. I'll be sure to tell the waiter.

I know this is the worst thing to ask, but do you want to keep it a secret? Not that there's an us or anything (yet), but I don't want to make you feel uncomfortable. You're already doing so many things you'd normally avoid, so I don't want to be difficult.

It's fine. Don't hide it, but don't publicize it either. If somepony finds out, big deal. Actually, I think I'm more likely to get envious looks than anything. Hopefully not too much.

Well, you'll get a lot of ridicule from Blueblood for one thing. Be prepared for that. When BlueEyes started dating Twilight, Blueblood would always find a way to appear out of nowhere, make a snarky remark, then vanish once more. At one point I though he had learned teleporting just for that. :)

I can hear him now. "Brush, why did you hook up with that loser. Just look at him: skin and tendons. He doesn't even have enough meat on his ass for a good slap. And that snout. Honestly, was this a pity thing? Cause you can tell me if it's a pity thing. Like I know he's not getting younger, but there's no need to make such a sacrifice just for him."

The he'll start talking about himself and how much better he was, how many hearts he broke, and so on. Between you and me he was the sorriest colt when we were young. He had braces and those thick glasses.

I swear! Good thing he never had to go to school. He was the living image of a nerd and very sensitive about it (still is). He told me once he had to beg Celestia for years until she agreed to perform a correction-healing spell on him. From what he said it was so exhausting that he had to stay in bed for weeks after that.

I think that's where his mania to be beautiful comes from. Of course, I might be wrong. He's also not as bad as many think. Of course, he still has an extreme personality.

I think I understand. I hope he's over it now. I can only imagine what would have happened if he had met DarkSparkle or CodeFilly growing up. :)

Absolutely nothing, they are so not his type. Blueblood has a thing for pegasi. Don't ask me why. I think it might do with him growing up among alicorns. I remember him being a bit annoyed that Shining got Cadence. Also, he seems to fall for Wonderbolts. Both his marefriend and his childhood crush were such.
