[Crossover between Life is Strange and humanised VinylTavia. While the story does not follow LiS's plot, some familiarity with the game might be good to enjoy the story to its full extent.]
Every action we take is irreversible. It leaves a mark on the essence of reality, and, yes, on our soul. It is forever etched in our memories, sewn into the blanket of the Universe. No wishing can undo it, no key can free us from these chains.
But what if the world worked a little differently? Suppose we could learn from a mistake, and undo it, knowing better from experience. Suppose we could unsay, uncry, unlaugh, undo the things that could, ultimately, ruin our life? What if we could reverse time? We could foresee the consequences and prevent them.
But what if the action we amended needed to have happened? What if we created a calamity by messing with the fabric of space-time? Okay, now what if we could only reverse time back no more than five minutes? Surely that wouldn’t rip that everpresent spacey-timey fabric too badly?
And, if we have such a power, does it truly make everything in life reversible?
On a sunny summer day, Octavia Philarmonica is gifted with an ability to rewind time. Eventually, she learns, from bitter experience, that there are things in life that are still, sadly, unbearably, but truly, irreversible.
