Her ears fell back and looked completely hopeless. Her eyes were watering and she was biting her lip.

“Can you get shields back online?”
“No ma’am, the generator is fried”
“What about help from the rest of the fleet”
“No ma’am. All ships are either down or unable to reach us”

“Ma’am. It’s weapon is charging. Brace for impact in ten!”
“Wait. Trixie’s ship is moving in. It’s charging weapons... It’s... It’s firing on Discord’s ship?”
“Trixie’s fleet is engaging Discord’s? This doesn’t make any sense”
“Princess Luna, come in? This is Cobra, on board the ‘Great and Powerful’. Trixie’s ships are moving to engage the enemy. Cease fire on Trixie’s fleet immediately!”
“This is Princess Luna. Ceasing fire on Trixie’s ships. What’s going on?”
“It’s a bit of a long story. But lets just say...” Trixie walked up beside me, looking unsure of herself. “...we’ve made a new ally”
“Glad to hear it. Once we’ve delt with Discord I want you over here to-”
“Ma’am! Discord’s Hyper-drive just powered up”
“Arm all batteries! Don’t let him escape!” Luna commanded damningly.
I looked out to see Discord and many of his ships jump into a circle of light, like a worm-hole of sorts. Once they passed into it, it disappeared.
“Hyper-drive?!?” I said with Dis-belief. “Well that explains how you got here so fast”
“Where is he going?!” Luna asked her crewman demandingly.
“He’s heading straight for Satos”
“You can’t be serious!”
“Hold on...” I interrupted. “What is Satos?” I asked with bold curiosity.
Luna was quiet for a few seconds but then, “...The Equestrian Solar system...”
“What?! Now what do we do!” I asked.
“Well Discord’s Hyper-drives are not that advanced...” Trixie stated, interrupting me and Luna. “...He’ll have to make a stop about half way. Not to mention he’ll want to make some repairs. We should have about three to four days before he reaches Equestria”
“Well it only takes us 16 hours to get there in one jump” Luna contemplated to herself out loud.
“That gives us at least two days to get repairs done” I implied.
“Courage. I’m sending a transport to get you and Trixie” Luna informed. “...In the mean time I need to do a head count of the fleet”
“Rodger that Princess. See you soon”
“We’re going to see Princess Luna?” Liam asked in slight confusion.
“Yes... so you better behave Liam!”
“Lol! no...”
I sighed and shook my head at him. We then made our way to the hanger to wait for transport.

I was now on board Luna’s ship. Damn it was in horrible condition. The damage was extensive. Massive holes in the walls, wires sparking and fizzing, broken pipes and power conduits and wounded ponies everywhere. That was quite the space battle.
“Welcome aboard Commander!” greeted a pony guard. “Princess Luna and Commander Macintosh are waiting for you on the bridge with the other ponies”
“Commander?”
“Yes. You’re the Commander of the human forces am I right?”
“I guess that's right”
“Anyway, follow me to the bridge. Your companions may come along too”
“Yes! I finally get to meet princess Luna!!” cheered Liam
“Erm... Liam. Maybe you should just go down to the mess hall and get a cappuccino. Me and the ponies will go see Luna” I suggested
“Awww what? No way!” complained Liam
“Yes. Me and Luna need a serious talk. SERIOUS talk. We do not need you there making condom jokes”
“Fine! Fag...”

“...Well make your repairs as quickly as possible. We are moving out as soon as we are all ready”
“Eeeeyep. Already on it Princess. We are going to need some material though”
“We have some spare parts on the storage deck. Well send them over as you request them...”
I walked up behind Luna. She turned and looked at me. I got down on one knee and graced myself with her presence.
“Princess Luna. It is an honour to meet you”
“Like-wise Commander. You do not need to bow to me you know. As leader to leader, formalities are not required as much”
“But you're a goddess. Great and powerful. I’m a mere mortal”
“Well it was a mere mortal that saved me if I’m not mistaken”
“Of course. Anything for my dear Princess Luna” I looked up and smiled at her. She blushed a little.
“Thank you Commander...” she said with an embarrassed smile, trying to look away from me. “...You may rise now”
We both then looked to the side to see the other ponies glaring at us. I cleared my throat and began to talk.
“Soo... what are we going to do about Discord. He still has over one hundred ships and is on his way to Equestria”
“Well we have to go after him” she stated boldly, with a tone of low confidence.
“With what exactly? You have like thirty or so ships which are in really bad shape”
“Well we have to do something!” argued Twilight.
“Hmm...” I began to think hard again.
“We should take over Discord’s ship and kick his butt!” Rainbow suggested aggressively.
“Good luck gettin’ on board then. He ain’t gonna jus’ let you swoop in ya know” Applejack stated boldly.
“Oh yeah? You got a better idea?!”
“Well uh... No ah don’t but...”
“Exactly! My idea is the best so far!”
“Your idea will get us killed...” Rarity pointed out gracefully.
“We should try infiltrating the ship and sabotaging it” suggested Twilight.
“That’s a stupid Idea!” Rainbow shouted, instantly shooting down Twilight.
“Woah! Lets not start an argument here! I know this is a tough situation. We can argue against each others plans all day if we wanted, and lets face it, not a single one of us is going to come up with something. But if we want to come up with a plan to stop him we need to actually plan this one, together. With our brain power combined I’m sure we’ll come up with something. Go get some lunch, sit down for a bit and meet back here in ten minutes. Me, Luna, Big Mac and Trixie are going to go through our Intel”
“Yeah! Lets get some lunch! Cupcakes!” cheered Pinkie.
“I agree. I’m staving” complained Spike.
“Alright. We’ll meet back here in ten”

Me and the other three talked for ten minutes, discussing our resources and ideas as we waited for the other nine ponies to return. Yes, the three ponies that saved us back in New York were still with us.
“Welcome back girls”
“Alright, lets get back to work” Twilight suggested.
“Alright Big Mac. Go ahead and tell us what you got”
“Ooookay. My scouts tell me that Discord has stopped in a system forty five light years from Satos. He is making repairs in orbit of this gas giant...” a picture of a gas giant popped up on screen. “He’ll be here for the next two days. It seems he left most of his fighter craft behind so if we repair as many fighters as possible we would have an advantage. His fleet is still bigger than ours though...”
“Right well we can use the gas giant to get in undetected. We drop out of hyperspace inside the atmosphere so Discord’s sensors can’t pick up the hyperspace window. We can then take him by surprise”
“I don’t think that’s a great idea” argued Big Mac. “Thirty ships verses one hundred ships? Jus’ doesn’t add up”
“You said he lacks fighters right?” Twilight asked.
“That means we can still board his ship!” said Rainbow smugly.
“They have a point. In fact I have an idea for that...”
“And that is?” asked Trixie and Twilight.
“Nukes...”
“Nukes?” everyone said in confusion.
“We take transports on board many of his ships, all carrying nukes. We arm the nuke, get out and Boom! One dead ship. Do it with enough of the ships and Luna’s fleet can handle the rest”
“Right! So my fleet holds back in the planet’s atmosphere and send in the nukes first. Once the nukes have destroyed half the fleet we come in and finish what’s left”
“That’s right Luna. Simple and easy. You work on getting the fleet ready. I’ll fly back down to Sweden and prep those nukes”
“I want to come with you” insisted Rarity.
The others looked at her weirdly.
“What? He might want some help”
“I’ll come too” Spike said proudly.
“Alright. Spike and Rarity can come with me, aswell as you three ponies...” I pointed to the green unicorn and his mates. “I want to get to know you three better”
“Uhuh, Sure” agreed the green Unicorn.

I was now prepping a transport to leave. Spike, Rarity and the others sitting in the back. Liam and Gavriil were coming with me also however Dracos offered to stay behind while the ponies ran tests on him. They wanted to find his weaknesses so we could fight the Dragon warriors better.
“Alright, everyone ready?”
“We are ready back here Comrade”
Gavriil then walked through the door and joined me in the cock pit.
“You did good today Comrade”
“Thanks buddy” I said as I smiled at him.
“Buddy? You okay Curry?” he said with joyful confusion
“Yeah. I’m good thanks. Just being more social” I said cheerfully.
“I see. That is good”
“Right, lets get going then shall we? We got nukes to prepare”
“Indeed Comrade”
I took off and flew out the hanger and towards the planet again. Flying through the space ship graveyard that was left behind by Discord’s fleet, I couldn't help but feel sorrow. All those brave ponies that died to protect Equestria. Ninety ships. Ninety fucking ships full of ponies died today at the hands of Discord and his forces. Trixie and Luna’s fleet sacrificed themselves to stop him. I felt angry. I wanted to do horrible things to him. Cut him up slowly with a rusty knife. I calmed myself and continued to focus on flying towards the planet. Getting all pissed off was not going to avenge these brave ponies.

We made it back to base and I had already got the nuke deployment under-way. I didn’t want to waste time. After about a day and a half the nukes were made and ready to be loaded onto transports. I got some well earned rest in the mean time. It was now just a few hours before Luna was ready to leave and we needed those nuke transports on board her ships.
“Okay Courage, we have twenty two nukes under-way and they will all be loaded in the next few hours
“Thank you Isabelle. Listen, I want you to stay here; look after the wounded troops. There are not many doctors around anymore”
“What about you? You’ll need a doctor on your team”
“Fluttershy can handle it. Humanity has lost enough great men. I need you to stop us from losing anymore. Now get to that ward and look after those soldiers. That's an order...” I stared down at her, but with a slight grin.
She stared at me for a few seconds. She then saluted and smiled at me, “You got it sir! I wont let you down!”
“Good girl! Now go!”
She walked away and I turned to make my way to the transports. It was nearly go time and I needed to be ready.

“How are the nukes coming along Blades?”
“They are... nearly... ready” replied the green Unicorn as he struggled to levitate the nuke onto the transport.
All around I could see Americans, Swedish, Russians and some of Luna’s Ponies, all working together to get the transports ready. They were all joking around with each other, all cheerful and jolly. It was quite a sight. It just goes to show that working together can achieve great things. Seeing this peace between them made me feel warm inside.
“Courage... The transports are almost ready Comrade. You should get ready to go”
“Okay Gavriil. Lets go” I said walking towards the transport.
“...I wish to stay here” Gavriil sighed, not moving at all.
I turned to face him, “Excuse me?”
“I’m staying here” he said, nodding his head at himself.
I walked back towards him, “Why?”
“There are still many ships on this planet. Many enemies that still threaten us. I wish to stay here and give humanity a fighting chance. I want to protect my people, Our people”
I looked at him blankly for a while. I then chuckled and Bro-hugged him. “Okay Comrade! You’re in charge while I’m gone” I then let go and smiled at him. “Look after these people Comrade”
“Of course I will Comrade”
I started to climb aboard my transport.
“Good luck brother. May your fight with Discord bring you great honour” Gavriil said pridefully.
I just nodded at him cheerfully and gave him a thumbs up as I closed the back door.
“Alright. You and your team ready Major Hockey?”
“Yep. Waiting on your go sir”
“Alright then...” I then sat down in the Pilot seat in the cock-pit. “...Lets go kick some ass!”
