Twilight, while reminiscing on past events compared to the present day, finds a stallion who is missing his left foreleg, a stump of his upper elbow being the only part of the limb left. The stallion explains his story of how he lost his leg, and how he almost lost his wife as well. Luckily, his wife was safe from harm.

However, Twilight can't see the wife the stallion is talking about.
