Phase one: Recruits will receive orientation and receive their issued equipment. Basic tactical training begins, followed by magical, biological, and chemical prevention, magical casting defense and military movement. Basic specialized training follows for each of the pony biologies; ground, magic, and flight.

Phase Two: Recruits go through marksmanship and combat training. Engagement Skills and Situational Training Exercises. This training is intended not only to teach Guards valuable skills, but also to instill confidence in what they're learning. Specialty training; light, heavy, medical, mage. Team training. Land navigation. Naval training. Strategy. Gas chamber.

-End of phase training exercise: Intelligence Field training.

Phase Three: After becoming familiar with the use of their equipment and weapons, recruits put their training to the test as they must overtake various field courses; both day and night infiltration. Night training. Survival day/night training. Various advanced training courses.

-End of phase training exercise: Nerve Field training.

Phase Four: History. Logistics, statistics, and advanced strategy. Official ranks assigned. After passing all their tests and challenges, they congregate for Rites of Passage.
