Prologue
For many years, Earth has sunk into a pit of warfare where The New German Empire has control of Eurasia, Africa, and Australia. German forces have crept into North and South America making the war even more hopeless. Research facilities in Antarctica have created a weapon that might bring back hope. A naval fleet has been chosen to use the weapon in battle.
- Dakar, West Coast of Africa, 0900 hours GMT-
“I need a medic!” Screamed 1st Lieutenant Glen Webster. His squad was trapped in the African city quickly being overrun by German soldiers. A tank shell blew up right in front of his squad. They were blown back a few meters into a church. Glen got up first and started dragging his squad mates into better cover and calling for a medic. “Medic!”
“Right here! Lieutenant Chuck Wallis at your service,” Coughed a man running into the church. Glen led him to his men and he quickly started examining them. “Shit this doesn’t look good for them,” The medic proclaimed looking at the injured soldiers. “We need an evac.”
“No shit. My team was waiting for an evac for about an hour. Then we got screwed by a tank. Now my squad is dying and I’m stuck in a hellhole full of Germans.”
“Jesus you whine a lot.”
“Oh shut up and save my men.”
“I can’t.”
“What?”
“I said I can’t, their injuries are too extensive, they’re dead.”
“Oh god… oh god,” He put his left hand over his face to cover up his tears. “I grew up with them, they were the best I could ever get.”
“I’m sorry for your loss man, but we need to get moving. Here are their dog-tags,” Chuck handed Glen the dog-tags and started walking out the door. Glen followed closely behind.
They ran around the city looking for other squads and trying for an evac. Then finally their calls were answered by a Blackhawk pilot telling them to meet him at the harbor for pickup. At the harbor they could see the transport and set off they’re flare. As they neared the chopper loud bang went off and Glen could see Chuck’s body fall to the ground. Men from within the Blackhawk jumped out and started shooting their assault rifles at the buildings behind Glen and yelling.
“Sniper! Get in!”
Glen picked up Chuck and started dragging him towards the Blackhawk. Once inside, he checked the body for vital signs but got nothing, he was dead.
“All’s clear, let’s go!” The men from outside yelled and jumped back in. As Glen was kneeling over the body, a man came over and started speaking to him and patted his left shoulder.
“You did what you could for him. What’s your name soldier?”
“1st Lieutenant Glen Webster, yours?”
“General Gregory Wilson. You got guts Lieutenant. Or should I say Captain?”
“With all due respect sir. I don’t deserve to be Captain.”
“Oh? And why not?”
“I led my team into this city, now they’re all dead because of my miscalculations.”
“Nonsense. This whole operation was miscalculated. You tried to save that man during a firefight even though he was shot in the head. That show’s you do deserve the promotion.”
“Guess there’s no arguing with a general. Where are we headed anyway?”
“I was told to bring survivors to Fleet Whiskey-5. You heard of it?”
“I have. Isn’t this the fleet that was chosen for the super weapon?”
“Yes it is. It is going to Antarctica in a month or so. Do you know the Admiral? Your last name seems familiar.”
“I do know him."
-A small cottage outside the Everfree Forest-
“C’mon you can do this. You got this Dash,” Rainbow Dash was readying herself for doing what she thought would be impossible. “I’m ready. I’m ready,” She started knocking on the door.
The door was answered by a shy, timid, yellow pegasus by the name of Fluttershy. “Oh… um hello Rainbow. What brings you here?”
“Well first off, I want to sincerely thank you for helping me recover from my crash.”
“Oh you are quite welcome. Anything for a friend.”
“That’s another thing F… Fluttershy. I… I wanted to ask you something important.” Dash stuttered.
“What is it?”
“I… I really want to…”
“Yes?”
“What I’m trying to say is I lo… Augh! I can’t say it. I’ll just do this.”
“You’ll just do wh…” Rainbow interrupted her by kissing her causing a deep red blush to appear on both their faces.
“I love you,” Rainbow quickly spoke then turned away, afraid of rejection. What she got though was a pair of forelegs rapping around her and pulling her down. She was now on top of Fluttershy, and she was smiling.
“I love you too,” Her forelegs dragged Dash down onto her as they kissed.

Chapter I
-Fleet: Whiskey 5/ Military weapons development facility, Antarctica 0400 hours GMT/ 2/25/2037-
“Captain Glen Webster, the transport is ready for departure, Sir.” A man about the age of 27 reported from behind.
“Huh... alright uh…?” Glen responded, a little startled by the voice.
“Lieutenant Henry Teller sir.”
“Alright then, you’re taking me to the facility?”
“Yes sir.”
“Good lets go.”
The two briskly walked to the V-22 Osprey prepped for departure. While inside, the Captain confronted the Lieutenant with a simple question.
“What am I doing here?”
“Well the fleet you’re on is going to be outfitted with the facilities secret new toy.”
“Which is?”
“The S.R.G.”
“What the hell is a S.R.G.?”
“Don’t worry, you’ll see what it is very soon,” the conversation quickly ended when an out-of-the-blue transmission echoed over their radios.
“This is the USS Gerald P. Griffin, we can’t evacuate England fast enough, the Germans are overrunning our position and closing us into the shore so we can be picked off by costal artillery. We have lost all of the 28 evacuation ships, our destroyers, and heavy cruisers. Our only choice is to overload our nuclear reactor to injure these S.O.B.’s… Goodbye.”, complete silence filled the craft for what seemed like an hour until the pilot broke the silence.
“We are at facility base Delta-Kilo, this where you get off sirs.”
They where greeted by an icy wasteland environment with large metal building’s spread out, but centered around a quite large airfield littered with cargo planes and long range bombers. At the closest building there stood a tall man wearing a slouch hat leaning on a transport truck. He spoke with a deep Australian accent.
“The name’s Dr. Daniel Atkinson, mate. You must be the Cap that I was sent to welcome. So welcome to winter-wonderland, the coldest base of the American military.”
“Um… yes I’m Captain Glen Webster and this is Lieutenant Henry Telper.”
“Henry! Well I’ll be, how’s it been in the jungles of South America surviving the Jerries advancements through Brazil?”
“Absolutely shitty Doctor," Henry chuckled grimly. "We didn’t know what the hell we where doing, like you said we where just surviving until we got evacuated.”
“Oh, okay well since you already now each other. Doctor, what is the S.R.G.?”
“Ah, so you want to see the Seismic Rail-Gun, do yah? Follow me.”
They got into a troop transport truck and headed down the icy road to the weapons testing area.
“So, Doctor did you here that transmission on the radios?”
“Oh yes, that’s just terrible what its coming to in this war. So many men are dying because of those German bastards. But, hopefully we will get the upper hand with this new weapon of ours. Good where here, lets go test It.”, With great excitement the doctor leaped out of the truck being quickly followed by the Lieutenant and the Captain who still wanted to what the hell this thing was. When Glen walked up to it, this weird looking artillery emplacement. The back of it looked like an enlarged tank turret with two 30 ft. long metal poles with seven metal rings in between the poles.
“You ready for a test fire Captain?” The Doctor urged with great enthusiasm.
“Fine, but what happens when it fires?”
“Hell if I know, this is the first time it will fired.”
“Firing S.R.G.” echoed over the intercom of the entire area.
“Wait, what…”
A huge flash of piercing whiteness blinded him as well as the force knocking him about twenty feet backwards.
-A bedroom in a medium sized tree hut bordering a dense forest-
‘…Ugh, that was the strangest dream ever. What where those things? Well it's just a dream so it was probably nothing,’ Dash thought to herself while poking her head out from under the covers.
“Good morning Rainbow,” A sweet yet still tired voice spoke to her from across the room. “I brought you some coffee I made myself.”
“Hmph…”
“Okay then I’ll just have to give this sweet, delicious, wonderful coffee to Angel bunny.”
“Hmph… fine I guess I’ll have some,” She lazily fell out of bed and dragged herself towards the sweet smell of the warm coffee.
“Ugh, what time is it?”
“Um about 7 I think.” Fluttershy thought as she set the coffee on the ground for Rainbow to drink.
“This coffee is so good, why is everything you make terrific?” Sipping through a straw since she didn’t the magical abilities of unicorn ponies.
“Well I guess its just natural…”
“Wait! It’s seven!?” Cutting her off mid sentence, now fully awake as if she was splashed with a bucket of cold water. “I have weather duties at 6! Now they’re going to fire me!” breaking into a full uncontrollable panicking state on the verge of tears. But then all was silenced by Fluttershy giving her a full on hug and sweetly hushing her.
“Don’t worry Rainbow, you have this entire week off from work.”
“I… I do?”
“Yes, and we can spend all that time together, just you and me.” Fluttershy responded, kissing her softly on the cheek affectionately.
“So why did you wake me up any way if I’m not even working?”
“Well just because you don’t have work doesn’t mean you can’t help me with taking care of the animals.”
“Fine… or, I could perfect a bunch of my tricks.” Turning from grumpy to excited. ”Yeah, that could totally work, I can do that, and you can do your animal stuff here at home. See you later tonight, I love you.” With a quick kiss she went flying out the door and into the sky with a peppy disposition.
“I… I love you too, ugh, so much for spending time together. Or remembering or our three month anniversary,” She said to herself, staring at the floor with a sad yet pissed off attitude.
-A Military Infirmary-
‘Beep… beep… beep… beep…’
“Hmmm… where… am I?” Waken up by the steady beeps of the heart monitor
“Oh good, you’re awake and okay, you had quite a little tumble from the force of the test fire.” The Doctor chuckled.
“So, it uh… blew up?”
“Of coarse not, it was actually very successful, you where just in a bad spot to be watching.”
“It was successful? Are you sure? I… I mean it doesn’t seem safe, I don’t really want it on one of the ships of the fleet.”
“Oh, well it’s too late for objections, we already installed it into the cruiser ‘Burning Winter’ while you where out cold… pun not intended, of coarse.”
“Already installed? I thought I was sent here to say if it would be in the fleet?”
“Nope, that’s the say of the Admiral. You where sent because the Admiral, or your uncle, wanted you to make friends or something like that.”
“Make friends!? This is fucking crazy, why the hell would I need to make friends! We are in a fucking war, and my uncle thinks I should get friends? I had friends, now their dead because of me, why would I want more friends.”
“Well you do make a good point. But you need reliable people to help you, and if you don’t have anyone, your screwed, so getting friends is you do need. I for one am really friendly and so is the lieutenant, he’s the one who dragged you from the testing area to the infirmary. Oh and also, we are coming you to Africa to show those Jerries what, mate.” After that little speech, the captain took a few seconds to think it over and then responded with a smile.
“Alright, fine, lets go exterminate the Germanic parasites ‘till they beg for mercy,” He said, smiling with a get some kinda attitude.
-Bridge of the USS Charles J. Pendleton-
“Is everything ready?”
“Yes Admiral.”
“Good, full steam ahead then.”
“Yes sir.” With a salute, and a radio to the other ships the fleet was off.
-Flight deck of USS Charles J. Pendleton-
“Well Glen I’m quite excited to be on the open sea again. The last time I was headed to the facility, about 5 years ago.”
“Wow, you’ve been here for quite a while then, huh. Say what are those other four ships that are with us?”
“Well two of those are L.S.D.’s, and the others are research ships ‘Exploration and Charisma’.”
“Oh, well why do we need them?”
“We need them for study on the effects of the S.R.G. on the German ships and bunkers.”
The entire fleet sailed on until one of the officers in the bridge caught something strange coming up ahead.
-Bridge-
“Sir… there’s something really weird up ahead right in front of us.”
“Hmm, it’s probably nothing.”
“But sir… its glowing different colors and I’m not sure what to make of it.”
“Well its too late to change directions, we’ve already started into it so I guess we’ll find out what it is.” The ships slowly drifted into the fog not sure what was ahead, mostly relying on the radar to go through it.
-Flight deck-
“What are those flashing colors up above us?”
“Well Glen, after six years of studying Meteorology I can tell you, absolutely nothing, I don’t have any idea of what it is.”
“Oh, well okay.”
-Bridge-
Back in the bridge the staff was encountering more problems due to this strange happening. “The radars gone blank, the G.P.S. is saying we’re in the North Pacific, and the compass is just broken.” The confusion was running wild throughout the bridge until one of the communication officers got a transmission from the destroyer USS Inferno.
“Sir the ‘Inferno’ has just got out of the fog… and they’re saying it doesn’t look like the North Pacific.” Quickly, the ships came out of the fog into an ocean that didn’t seem like any of theirs. The coastal trees were a lot more different then the ones of Alaska and the temperature rose drastically making all the staff and crewmen change out of their heavy winter clothing. Then again a bridge officer spotted something very strange in the air.
“What the… what is that? Give me some binoculars.” Within seconds he was focused in on the object, his hands started to tremble something awful. “That can’t be… those aren’t real…”
“What the hell is it?” The Admiral said impatiently. The officer could only tremble and stare at this far object. So the Admiral swiftly took the binoculars and stared intently at the object until he was also trembling.
“A… a dragon? No… no that doesn’t make sense. Get the Captain Webster and Dr. Atkinson right now.” The officers scrambled away and in a few minutes a Captain and a Doctor showed up with a confused look on their faces.
“Why did you need us in such a hurry?” Glen asked even more confused with the worried look of the Admiral.
“Well you probably already know that we have no idea where we are. To make it worse, we might not even be on Earth anymore.”
“What gave you that impression?”
“I’m not sure how to really put this… I mean it is going to sound pretty damn crazy…”
“Just tell us what the hell it is,” The Captain interrupted, growing even more impatient.
“About 5minutes ago we saw a dragon… yes, a dragon flying about 1,000 feet above us, I don’t think it noticed us, cause it just kept flying.”
“You’re joking. You have be joking, there’s no way that you saw a fucking dragon flying above us.”
“I don’t know, the Admiral seems pretty serious about this. I think he actually saw one.”
“You’re both crazy, they are not real,” Glen said not wanting to be wrong.
“Here is a picture of it, I knew you would object to it so I got proof.” The Admiral said handing the picture with a smirk of I’m right and your wrong.
“That could be anything.”
“Oh bullshit, you know it is real but you’re too stubborn to admit it.”
“Whatever, I still think it isn’t real, so yeah.” Glen crossing his arms and looking away like a small child.
“You are to much of a pain to argue with, so yeah too you too.”
“So… are we going to send out a recon drone to see where we are exactly?” Dr. Daniel intervening by changing the subject.
“Yes we are, we are prepping it for take off. There it is now,” He said, pointing at the UAV lifting into the air.
-Fluttershy’s house-
At about 4 in the afternoon, the cute yellow Pegasus pony decided to relax and read a novel ‘Lost on a Mountain in Mane’. Her reading abruptly ended as Rainbowdash came flying through her open window and crashing into her chair.
“Whoa, I probably should have had better control with coming through the window.”
“Why did you come through the window?” Flutter shy asked a bit angry.
“Well I just out of the blue decided to go through the window, why did I scare you?”
“Kind of, yeah.”
“Oh… well… sorry. But anyway uhm… you wanna go out to dinner?”
“You’ve been out all day. Why do you want to go out for dinner?”
“Well I just wanted to give you break and spend some time with you out on the town. Plus I can’t cook so that’s another reason. And its our anniversary of three months since we've been together, I'm sorry I forgot.”
“Well at least you remembered it on the day of the anniversary. So where are we going?”
“What about that sports bar in Cloudsdale?”
“I don’t really feel like going to that kind of restaurant. Maybe something a bit more fancy?”
“Fine but not too fancy. We could look for something in Cloudsdale.”
“Okay lets go.” Before they left Fluttershy left some carrots for her bunny Angel and a note saying they where going to be out late. The two pegasi then flew to Cloudsdale to look for a good restaurant. While in Cloudsdale Fluttershy led Rainbowdash to a small diner she used to go to with her family when she was a filly.
“This is Patty’s Diner, it isn’t fancy like I originally wanted, but I just remembered their amazing sandwiches and I haven’t had one in a long time.”
“Well if you say its good then it has to be really good.”
“I did get my cooking skills from here since my family was close to the owner.” As the two ponies walked into the diner Fluttershy was greeted with great joy from the chef/owner.
“Fluttershy! Great happiness fills me when you come. Great time too. I just got new stove and sandviches are even better than before.” He spouted out with a Stalliongrad accent.
“Its great to see you too Patty. This is Rainbow Dash, my mare-friend.”
“I saw you in newspaper months ago. You made a… um… Sonic-rainboom. Then next month in newspaper again you made big recovery from big crash. You are very lucky to have Fluttershy.”
“I know I am,” Dash looked at her partner with a smile and kissed her on the cheek.
“You two are good couple. I see happy future for you. Now I give two sandviches, on the house. That sound good?”
“That would be very nice of you Patty.”
“Anything for you Little Yellow,” He cooked some sandwiches and the two ate and graciously thanked Patty and where on their way. While flying back they decided to play tag hoping from cloud to cloud, pouncing on each other and kissing. They then decided to lie down on a small cloud and watch Celestia’s sun lower down while snuggling.
“Fluttershy?”
“Yes Rainbow?”
“Have ever thought about what it would be like if we had a foal. If we could of coarse”
“Sometimes. I haven’t put too much thought into it but I think it would be a wonderful experience.”
“What if Twilight had a spell that could make one of us pregnant with our genes combined to make our own foal.”
“That would be amazing. But the chances of her having a reproduction spell of that kind would very unlikely.”
“Yeah, you’re probably right, but if she had…” Dash paused, squinting, trying to get a good view of something far away.
“What?” Fluttershy asked quite confused on what Dash was doing.
“What in Celestia is that thing?”
“What thing? What are you looking at?” Fluttershy was getting a bit nervous.
“You stay here, I’m going to see what that thing is.”
“No. I’m coming with you. I’m just as curious as you are.”
“Fine. Jeez when did you get as stubborn as Applejack? Don’t answer that let's just go,” They flew towards the area of the object. Dash was restricted speed by staying with Fluttershy. The object was finally getting close enough so Dash and Fluttershy could fully see it.
“What is that thing? It looks like a gray metal dragon, but its wings aren’t moving.”
“It has a little dome at the bottom of its head.” As they got even closer to it, they noticed even more strange qualities of this metal dragon. It had no eyes, mouth, or limbs, and it had fire coming out a cylinder at the back of it. It also had strange sharp objects under its wings and the little dome was moving around in different directions.
“This thing is really weird, I don’t think it sees us so lets follow it some more.”
“Oh I don’t know, it looks pretty scary and it could be dangerous.”
“C’mon Fluttershy, where’s your sense of adventure. Plus even if you don’t want to follow it you would have to because it’s headed right towards home.” Fluttershy thought over what Dash said and realized that the maybe dangerous thing was headed right for her friends.
“Oh no! We need to warn Ponyville!” She zoomed off leaving Rainbow Dash in awe of her great speed. Dash quickly snapped out of it and zoomed off to catch up to her.
“Wait up Fluttershy!”
-UAV command station-
The operator was observing the screen for any signs of civilization in this area when he caught something flying past the drone. ‘What was that? It kind of… looked like a pony. It couldn't have been. Well… I heard they saw a dragon or something a few hours ago. There’s another one, it’s a bluish color. Huh.’ He thought to himself before telling his commander.
“Sir I spotted two unusual organic objects flying by the drone at fast speeds. Permission to follow?”
“Permission granted, we have enough fuel for about four hours before it need to return.”
“Yes sir,” The pilot turned the craft towards the ponies and followed them towards Ponyville.
-Just outside Ponyville-
“Where did you get so much speed all the sudden?”
“The safety of my friends is very important to me. That thing could seriously hurt them.”
“How do you know? It could be friendly. Remember how we overreacted when Zecora came. Sure we could tell them about it, but we don’t need to say it’s a dangerous monster.” Dash explained and Fluttershy felt embarrassed remembering the Zecora experience.
“You’re right, I’m sorry,” Looking up at Dash with deep sad eyes.
“It’s okay,” Dash said as she nuzzled her. “Lets go tell them.” The two ponies flew to the closest friend, which was Twilight, the purple unicorn pony that lived in the library with her assistant Spike the baby dragon.
“Oh hello, what brings you two here?” She asked intently since they where panting as they burst into the door.
Fluttershy was the first to catch a breath and speak. “We were flying back from Cloudsdale and we saw this weird gray flying metal thing that was flying in this general direction.
“A weird gray metal flying metal thing? What did it exactly look like?”
“It kind of looked like a dragon but its wing weren’t moving and it had small dome on the bottom.”
“Hmm… that does sound weird. Was it dangerous?”
“We don’t know. We just flew off and came here to tell you.”
“Did it follow you?”
“I don’t think so. We flew off before it saw us, I think?”
“I think it did,” Rainbowdash said as she stared out the door looking into the sky and pointing. The other two peeked out as well and saw the UAV flying in circles above the town.
-UAV command-
“Holy crap,” The pilot said staring into his monitor. His commander came over and stared in awe at the video on the monitor.
“Are those… ponies? They’re all over the place in this little town. We need to tell someone right now.” He quickly ran to the radio and called the Admiral to come down and see what they saw.
“What are you seeing?” As he rushed into the command center.
“Look for yourself,” The Commander said pointing at the monitor. The Admiral gave him a questioned look and walked over to the monitor surrounded by the officers. “What the hell? The whole town is populated by ponies.” The Admiral took another look at the monitor and called over the Commander and told him to send the location of the town to flight command. “I want a recon team flown to the town and investigate it.”
“Yes sir.”
Chapter II
-Twilight’s Library, Ponyville/ 1800 hours EST: Equestrian Standard Time-
“Well it doesn’t seem to be doing any harm to any pony. So you two could go tell the others about this.”
“Are you coming with us?” The cyan pegasus asked.
“No I’m going to stay here and watch whatever it is,” Twilight said collecting her items of study.
-UAV command-
“The recon team is headed to the town, you can turn it back now.”
“Yes sir, it’s just so weird, seeing a civilization made up of horses. Wonder if or how we could communicate with them.”
“Yeah... Or if they could be a threat to us, like their super strong and violent when faced with a different species.”
“I sure as hell hope not.”
“Heh… Amen to that.”
-Outskirts of Fillydelphia-
“What do we make of this?” A tall man asked with a sly, central-European accent looking through a pair of binoculars.
“A city sir?” Another man with binoculars standing next to him responded.
“I know it’s a city you idiot,” he turned at the other man in disgust. “Look within the city, what do you see?” The man looked deeper into the city and responded.
“Billboards… with English writing. British? American?”
“Who cares. It’s not ours. Therefore we attack it. I want the 56th Panzer Division on that city, as well as offshore artillery bombardment. Is that clear commander?”
“Yes General,” the commander responded getting onto the radio giving the green light for landing ships to go forward.
-Ponyville-
‘It’s leaving? I haven’t even got to study it yet.’ The purple unicorn thought to herself in disappointment as the UAV left the town.
“Uhm Rarity? Hello?” Fluttershy silently asked knocking on the boutiques door. The door opened showing a quite sophisticated white unicorn with a stressed look on her face.
“Oh hello darling. What brings you to my boutique?” Rarity asked not trying to hide the fact that she was tired and stressed out.
“I just came to tell you that there is a weird thing flying around Ponyville.”
“A weird flying thing?” She asked not entirely interested.
“Yes, it showed up out of no where and started flying around Ponyville like it was watching us or something.”
“Well that is interesting, but I have to do a lot of work so uh… thank you for telling me about that. Goodbye.”
“Oh goodbye,” Fluttershy replied getting the point that Rarity was very busy with her work.
Over at Sugercube Corner, where Dash went to tell Pinkie Pie, her response was a lot different. “Oh my gosh a flying metal thing!? What does it look like? Is it friendly or a big meany? Does it like parties? Ooooooh we should invite it down for a party wouldn’t that be great?”
“Well I don’t think it would come down.”
“Why not?” She looked at her friend with a sad expression.
“Because it left,” Twilight chimed in behind Rainbow Dash. “It just flew away in a Northwestern direction.”
“Really? That’s to bad it was gonna be a great party to,” Pinkie Pie looked at the ground in disappointment that she couldn’t throw the party for the UFO.
“It’s okay Pinkie Pie. You could make the party for something different. But right now I’m going to meet up with Fluttershy and we’re going to go tell Applejack.” Dash said running out the door to the town center.
At the center the two met up and went on their way to Sweet Apple Acres. On the road near Sweet Apple Acres they came across the orange pony bucking apples out of a tree.
“Hey Apple…” ‘whoa… what is that?’ She asked herself seeing another UFO coming overhead. This one was different though, it was bigger, darker, and was flying a lot lower than the other one.
“Well what is that?” Applejack asked looking up at the UFO in shock.
“I don’t know. It’s a lot bigger than the last one,” Dash said in shock as well.
“Last one? You saw another one of those?”
“Yeah that’s what we were going to tell you before that came,” She explained while pointing at the UFO.
“Well let’s go follow it. By the looks of it, it’s following the road to Ponyville.”
“All right let’s go.”
“I’ll just go back home since it’s getting dark,” Flutter shy spoke tiredly.
“Okay babe,” Dash said as she hugged her. “I love you.”
“Okay, I love you too,” she responded flying off to her cottage as Dash and Applejack raced off following the UFO towards Ponyville.
-Fleet Whiskey 5: L.S.D. 254-
“We are unloading landing craft and heading for the beach,” the bridge officers reported as the landing crafts dropped into the water and sped towards the beach.
“Good. We’ll have the troops meet up with the recon team at the destination,” The Admiral reported back to the ships.
“This is General Shockley, I will be leading the ground forces in this operation. We are still waiting for two more crafts to land before we move towards the destination. I will give you confirmation when we depart on our ‘expedition’.”
“Very well General we will be waiting for your confirmation. Command Out.”
-Cockpit of the V-22 Osprey 24–T7-
“So I hear where this road leads to is a town full of ponies,” the Pilot said, out of the blue.
“No way, that has to be some officers being stupid and making up shit to mess with people,” the Co-pilot argued.
“Yeah that’s probably what it is,” the Pilot chuckled, looking down at a deer running through the field.
In the back of the osprey the Captain, Doctor, and Lieutenant where joined with Recon Team Omega 3.
“I’ve been briefed by the admiral that this is not a weapons hot operation. We are just scouting the destination and will be met by the army in a day or so.”
“You hear that men? No shooting unless it is completely necessary,” Sergeant Kevin Saundry confirmed with the team.
“Yes, I’m told this area is not hostile but be careful just in case. We will be scouting a small town we have discovered. We don’t know if it is hostile or not, but I was told we don’t have to worry much. I was also told not to engage the town until we’re cleared.”
“With all due respect sir. Why can’t we go into the town? I mean… well you did say that we didn’t need to worry so why?” Private Dexter Smith, the youngest member of the team spoke up.
“Command told that the situation is strange and I’m just following protocol Private.”
Within an hour of the briefing the pilot came over the intercom saying they’ve arrived at the LZ and that he was opening the ramp. As it opened they could only see that they were over an open field. The pilot came on again to green light their exit. They dropped down about eight feet to the ground and watched the lights of the osprey fly away back to the fleet.
-Canterlot-
The Princesses that day didn’t have anything to do. Celestia was entertaining herself by playing chess with Luna and flying around the garden with Philomena. As they were having dinner the doors slammed opened as two guards holding up a beaten, bloody pegasus rushed towards Celestia.
“Princess! Fillydelphia… has been attacked… by a… aliens!” The injured pegasus screamed in pain.
“Aliens? What did they look like?” Celestia questioned in disbelief.
“There were large metal… carriages with cylinders that flung exploding metal rocks. I saw a few outside of the carriages, they were two legged things, slightly taller than me, dressed in grey, had metal hats, and were holding weird tubes that flung smaller rocks.”
“Oh my. Did they talk?”
“Yes but I couldn’t understand their alien language. They kept yelling ‘kleines Pferd?’ in a confused way. We asked them who they are but they responded by looking at each other oddly and then attacking us.”
“Well then… Firstly, Guards, bring him to the hospital building,” Celestia sat there scratching her head wondering what to do. She had never thought about the scenario of an alien invasion. She thought over things she could do. ‘I could assemble the Elements of Harmony, but would it work against aliens? Should I take military action against them? I will consult the generals, then the Elements.’
-Some field-
“Everyone good?” Glen asked before moving on through the field.
“The troops are good sir,” Lieutenant Henry assured the captain.
“Good, lets go.”
They moved on going north until they reached a small road with a bridge going over a small river. As they went over the bridge they noticed faded lights in the distance. They moved off the road and to a hill where they surveyed the area locating a small village a few klicks away.
“We'll stay on this hill until confirmation."
"Did they specify when we will get confirmation?"
"Not at all. We could be here for a while."
"Dam."
-On the road to Ponyville-
“We lost it?” Dash wondered out loud as she looked around franticly.
“Ah think so. It was moving pretty darn fast.”
“Not as fast as me in flight but since I was galloping with you...”
“Oh shush up Rainbow you know that thing is faster than you and I... Huh, when'd it get so dark out all the sudden, ah should probably head back home for some shut-eye.” Applejack yawned.
“You’re giving up? C’mon! What if it’s really cool? And you miss it.”
“Well you should go home too. Them aliens could get the drop on you” She giggled.
Dash gulped in fear about the idea. "I.. I think I could take them."
"Sure you could."
"Well I'll just go back home and stay with Fluttershy. You know, to protect her and stuff."
"All right, you go do that. Seeyah tomorrow Rainbow."
When Dash got back she noticed her partner was reading in bed, waiting for her to come back. “I’m back,” Dash said lovingly, but still sad that she didn’t get to see the aliens.
“Did you catch up to the thing?” Fluttershy asked.
“No.” Dash answered looking at the ground.
“That’s too bad.” She said sympathetically.
“Yeah, I was really excited to see what they looked like.” Dash said, still in a depressed mood.
“Well, to make you feel better, we could have a picnic tomorrow. If… you want to, of course.”
“Yeah, that does sound pretty good. Thanks babe.” She responded in a better mood. “I could also practice and you could watch, if you wanted to.”
“Oh, I could always watch you practice Rainbow.” Fluttershy said with a deep blush, pulling Rainbow Dash onto the bed and romantically kissing her.
-45 minutes ago back at the field-
‘So… This is pretty nice. It’s calm and quite out, the sky is clear, and it is just the right temperature. I have never been at such a calm state since my childhood. I think I have a book in my bag and some candy bars.’ Glen thought to himself as he got up to get to his bag. ‘Ah, here it is. My flashlight, some candy bars, and a book. What is it anyway? Hmm… ‘Flags of Our Fathers’, heard it was good.’ After about 50 minutes he put it down and grabbed his binoculars to watch the little town. Within the town he saw a tree house… ‘A tree house? What the hell is a tree house doing in a small town?’ He thought to himself. He looked some more and saw what looked like a ginger bread house. A really big… ginger bread house, with candy decorations all around it. ‘What kind of town is this?’
-Fillydelphia-
“Why are there loads of dead ponies lying around this city?” The General questioned his commander. “And where are the people?”
“There are no people.”
“What?”
“Its just ponies. They are the people.”
“Ha, very funny Commander. Now why aren’t there people here,” The General looking at him with a sarcastic smile.
“It’s true sir. The ponies where speaking in English and are the citizens of this city.” A soldier stepped in to defend the Commander.
“Very well then. Set up a command post and an airfield. I want this area scanned for nearby cities… And kill off any of these ponies you find still alive. I hate horses, especially ones that speak English.”
“Yes sir.”
-Outside Ponyville-
“There’s a vehicle transport arriving. I also have visual of the UAV.” Private Smith pointed out the vague figure in the sky. The V-45 Stork came down and landed in front of them at the base of the hill. The transport opened up revealing a M4-A1 Honey Badger tank followed by a Stryker. “Shit, that’s some nice armor,” Private Donald announced with a big grin on his face.
“Alright troops lets load up and get to that town.” Glen waved his arm in the air signaling them to get in the vehicles.
-Canterlot-
After several hours of arguing with her generals, the Princess finally got them to compromise over sending a legion of guards to areas around Fillydelphia and sending a group of Pegasus guards to investigate Fillydelphia. After the meeting she decided to write to Twilight about the sudden alien invasion. She had slight doubt in sending the letter but ignored her urges. With a quick flash of magic the letter was off.
-Twilight’s Library-
It was still quite early in the morning and Twilight was still fast asleep when her baby dragon started reacting to the incoming letter. The loud burp of magic fire and the dropping of a letter woke up the unicorn, but not the dragon.
‘A letter from Celestia?’ Twilight thought, looking at her clock. ‘Well it must be pretty important if it’s this early.’ She walked over to where Spike was sleeping and carefully picked up the letter without disturbing him. She placed the letter on her desk and began to read.
My Faithful Student, Twilight,
I have been notified of a horrible attack on the city of Fillydelphia. We have lost all contact with the city. The survivor reported the attacking force as aliens. I have also sent a legion of my royal guards for protection in the areas around Fillydelphia. Ponyville is one place 60 of the guards will be positioned. Also I have sent a group of peas guards to investigate the alien presence. I am telling you this because I will need the ‘Elements of Harmony’ if the Royal Guards are not strong enough to defend against the clearly hostile aliens.
P.S. DO NOT tell anypony about this letter, the Elements are the only exception. I'm not sure about Pinkie Pie though. I cannot afford word to travel around and create mass panic about the aliens.
~Princess Celestia
Twilight stared at the letter, shocked, scared, and confused. She sat there some more pondering, and something else popped out of her head. ‘Aliens… the strange UFO in the sky yesterday. Does that have something to do with the attack on Fillydelphia? Well I could tell the girls about this tomorrow. Plus with Pinkie I could just make her Pinkie Pie Swear not to tell anypony else.'
-Fluttershy’s Cottage-
The two pegasi woke up lazily at about the same time. They realized it was still pretty early and slowly got out of bed.
“I’ll make you some coffee, what do you want in it?” Dash asked stretching beside the bed.
“Oh… uhm… no thank-you, if it’s alright with you… could I have some tea instead?” Fluttershy asked softly not trying to sound demanding.
“Sure thing, I’ll make you some tea right away,” She replied hoping down the stairs towards the kitchen. The sun was just barely skimming the horizon as Celestia pulled it up into the sky. The cyan pegasus looked out the window taking in the beauty of the warm morning. She scavenged around looking for the supplies for coffee and tea until she finally found them, leaving a big mess that would take some effort to clean. ‘Eh, I’ll clean it later.’ She thought to her self, preparing the drinks.
Fluttershy came down to investigate the noises being made in the kitchen. “Rainbow Dash, what’s going on?” She asked a little shocked but not surprised.
“Oh this? This is… Me, trying to make something in the kitchen.” Dash answered, blushing in embarrassment at her poor cooking skills.
“Here, you clean this up and I’ll make the coffee and tea,” She smiled lovingly at Dash.
“Okay babe,” Dash agreed happily starting to pick stuff up and put them back. But was quickly interrupted by fierce knocking on the door. Dash ran to the door and opened it to reveal Applejack with a nervous face. “What’s wrong Applejack?”
-Fillydelphia-
“I’m seeing some movement in the hills. At least five figures, 2 klicks,” A soldier reported looking through the scope of a sniper rifle. “More ponies. These ones have armor on though, you think they’re the military? Not very impressive,” He scoffed to the other sniper right next to him.
“Ha, you’re right, what are they wearing? They look so… stupid. Here, I’ll kill four and you handicap the fifth for questioning,” The other sniper responded.
“You got it,” The soldier said adjusting his sights and pulling the trigger.
~Author's Note
Yay second chapter done!
That New German Empire be pretty dam cruel. The New German Empire (Sixth Reich) is made up of neo-nazi's so that would explain some stuff about their cruelty.
Chapter III
-The hills near Philadelphia-
A lone Pegasus guard cried in pain and horror as he lay on the ground bleeding from leg and wing. He looked around, his squad on the ground, dead. About a minute ago they were all alive investigating an alien presence in the area. They were setting up camp as sharp cracks of sound pounded their ears, then one by one each of them fell leaving him all alone. Two more cracks quickly sounded as he felt searing pain in his leg and wing. He looked around some more, there were dark figures approaching him, he started to feel light-headed and began to close his eyes.
He woke abruptly to the sounds of machines and voices in the background. Their voices could just barely be heard, plus he couldn’t understand them. They were speaking in a strange alien language. Two figures stood in front of him. He figured they were arguing because of their bitter tones.
“Was dying Hole sind wir damit zu tun?” The one on the left asked with anger.
“Wir waren zu vernehmen,” The one on the right responded, receiving a mad look from the other.
“Verboten? Es ist ein kleines Pferd. Sie dumme ausrede für einen Arzt!” The left yelled.
“Die Soldaten sagten, sie sprechen in Englisch,” The right responded. “Wer ist dumm?” He was now getting a very stern glare. They both looked over at the Pegasus and smiled knowing that he was awake. The right spoke first in a very sly manner.
“Hello. I am Doctor Feinghelm. Welcome to our… lovely abode,” He bowed, chuckling. The pony took a quick glance around the room; he was strapped down on a medical bed in a burnt hospital room. There was one window he could just barely see out of, outside were many buildings on fire and falling down.
“Wh… where am I? Who are you? W… what are you?” He looked at them in terror.
“Ah, so you can talk. To bad it’s English. I always hated that language,” The Doctor explained spitting on the ground in disgust. “But it is what you speak, so I guess I’ll have to pain through it.”
“Should I get the ‘information extraction tools’ so this will go faster,” The other Doctor chimed in, with a devilish smile, purposely speaking in English.
“What are you talking about? Please don’t hurt me. Please,” He was at the point of crying.
“Oh don’t worry, this will be very quick if you tell us the right answers,” He stared at the petrified pony as he put on gloves and laughed even harder than before.
-Fluttershy’s Cottage-
“Aliens! In the town center!” Applejack screamed in Rainbow Dash’s face.
“What? They’re in town? Are they dangerous?”
“Uhm… Well Twilight seemed ah little scared by them when she told me about the letter from the Princess. Where aliens attacked Fillydelphia.”
“What?” Dash asked in disbelief.
“What’s going on?” Fluttershy quietly asked, coming up from behind Rainbow Dash.
“There are aliens back ‘n town. Everypony is hiding from them. Twilight sent me to ask you if you can help us either reason with ahm, or scare ahm away. For diplomacy, we were thinking you could talk to ahm, Fluttershy.”
“Oh, uh… w… why me?” The timid pony asked hiding behind her mane.
“Cause your good with animals. And aliens count as animals. Ah think?”
“I… I guess I could. If you really want me to,” She answered still hiding within her pink mane.
“Awesome, let’s go!” Dash yelled out in enthusiasm leaping out towards Ponyville.
-Twilight’s Library-
“Oh, I hope Applejack made it to them alright. It would be terrible if those things captured her. Where are the aliens anyway? Ah…!” She almost had a panic attack when her question was answered by a loud banging on the door. Twilight kept herself quite as she went upstairs. She could here a slight muffled sound from the door, which was probably the alien’s voice. Luckily after Applejack left, she locked the door for that exact reason.
-Ponyville-
“Is anyone in here?” Glen questioned while banging on the tree-house door. “Hello? United States Army, open up… please?” He questioned again. ‘Eh, they probably think were raiders or something like that.’ Glen thought to himself before moving on to the next building.
The entire team broke up to search the town for signs of people. They only got silence and locked doors. Private Dexter Smith came upon a rather fun spirited looking building, with a sign that read, Sugarcube Corner. Dexter came up to the door and saw that it was unlocked. As he went inside, he noticed the up-beat vibe of the store and the various treats in the display cases. He went up to the counter and awkwardly rang the bell. “Hello, is anyone here? Hello? Ugh… oh well.” He sighed turning to get his radio and calling out. “This is Private Dexter Smith, I’m in what seems like a bakery. I’m gonna look around upstairs.”
“Who are you talking to Private Dexter Smith?”
“I’m speaking to my… my… oh god.” He froze as he stared up at the pink eyes staring right back at him. “D… did you just… talk?” He asked still frozen in place.
“Well of course I did silly, why wouldn’t I talk to somepony that’s new to town?” She asked with a wide smile on her face.
“Oh… g… great. Hehe,” he nervously laughed as he fell onto the ground.
“Oh, whoopsy daisy, I guess I should’ve caught him, her… it.”
The Sergeant walked up to an ornate, carousel, like building. It was also unlocked. He went through the building finding nothing but dresses, designs, and weird horse mannequins. “What the hell is wrong with these people?” Kevin asked out loud, looking at the mannequins and drawings. “Who puts dresses on horses? Probably one mentally disturbed son of a…” He became silent hearing someone crying in one of the rooms. As he got to the room he could someone wailing and saying something along the lines of ‘This is the WORST, POSSIBLE, THING, EVER!’ and more crying. When he burst into the room figuring he had heard enough of who ever this drama queen was, only to find a white pony with a purple mane in a robe lying on a couch, crying. She stared right at him for what seemed like an hour before she was first to react.
“Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!” She screamed and bolted off her couch and fainted onto the ground.
“What the fuck… just happened?” Saundry asked himself trying to find sense in what happened. He quickly reached for his radio and called out. “This is Sergeant Kevin Saundry, I’ve made contact with the residents of this area. You’re not going to believe this shit. At all.”
“Oh, hello, little talking metal box. What did you say your name was?” A very peppy, girly voice echoed over the radio.
“Who are you?” Glen asked the new voice on the radio.
“I’m Pinkie Pie. Why did your voice change Mr. Tiny Box?”
“How did you get on the radio?”
“What’s a radio?”
“What do you mean? What’s a radio? You’re talking through it right know.”
“Ooooooooh. Is that what this is? I thought it was talking to me. Silly me. I got it from Private Dexter Smith who fainted when he saw me.”
“Is he okay? Why he did faint at the site of you?”
“I don’t know. I was going to see he wanted to have some cake, but I’ll just wait until he wakes up.”
“I think I know why he fainted,” Kevin interrupted their conversation. “The native I ran into was a pony. Are you a pony? Pinkie Pie is it?”
“Why yes I am. And yes it is. Who are you?”
“Wait… wait what? Did you say you are a pony?”
“Yesssy yes yes!”
“Yeah, great.”
“ My name is Sergeant Kevin Saundry. I know this because I found one of your kind. The pony I saw was white with a purple mane. And she was crying, a lot.”
“You met Rarity? How did she react to you?”
“Well she did the same thing that Dexter did. Faint.”
“Heheheheh. Yup that’s Rarity.”
“Alright, Pinkie Pie, I’m headed towards your location okay? I will be there in ten seconds flat.
“Hehehehehe. Okie Dokie Lokie.”
“What?”
“Oh, nothing, just something you said reminded me of something one of my friend says.”
“Uhm okay then.” Glen said as he headed towards Sugarcube corner.
-Fillydelphia-
“Now, who sent you to spy on us?” A disturbing voice rattled the Pegasus’ eardrum, as he regained consciousness due to electricity coursing through his body.
“I… I’m not… telling you… anything.” He managed to speak out of his burnt, bleeding mouth.
“He seems to be pretty strong willed. Hmm… some water-boarding might ‘wash’ that out.” He chuckled to himself before pressing a button, releasing more electricity into the stallion.
“Aghhhhhh!” He yelled out, feeling the sharp stinging sensation before loosing consciousness once again. But just enough to barely hear the doctor order something to the soldiers surrounding him.
“Laßt ihn wieder etwas Blut, dann werden wir ihm wasser-board,” Doctor Feinghelm told the soldiers around him, who quickly scattered in different directions.
-Outside Ponyville-
“Ah hope them aliens aren’t dangerous.”
“Don’t worry AJ, I bet we can take em,” Rainbow reassured Apple Jack.
“What if there really scary,” Fluttershy whimpered in fear.
“It’s going to be fine babe, I promise,” Rainbow reassured Fluttershy as well. They ran into Ponyville with great haste finding the town streets completely empty. They could hear a faint noise coming within the center of town. It was a strange mechanical rattling of some kind. They galloped through the town towards the noise until they found what was making it. Right in front of town hall, were two big, metal, tan colored carriages sitting in the center of town. On top of one, was an alien’s head and upper torso sticking out from within the carriage holding onto a large metal tube-like thing. The three of them were hiding behind some bushes so the aliens didn’t see them.
“They look pretty dangerous,” Fluttershy squeaked.
“Ah have to agree with that. They do look mighty threatening,” Applejack agreed.
“Oh please I bet I could take ‘em,” Dash boasted.
“Rainbow Dash, ah highly doubt that you could beat them. They have some big carriage that could do anything. And, we don’t know their strengths or abilities so just stay still,” Applejack quietly scolded. Dash responded with a grumpy sigh and slumped down onto the ground. Then something incredibly unusual came as they looked back to the machines.
“Is… is that… Pinkie Pie?” Fluttershy gasped in disbelief as one alien walked with another slouched over its arm and Pinkie Pie trotting along side them and talking to them.
“Wh… what the hay?” Applejack unintentionally yelled out gaining the attention of all the aliens. “Oh shoot!”
“Whose there? Come out from behind the bushes. We know you’re there,” one of the aliens shouted.
“Hi girls! These are…”
“Don’t worry Pinkie! I’ll distract them while you run for it!” Dash yelled, while leaping out of the bush and slamming into one of the aliens.
“Rainbow Dash! No!” Fluttershy yelled in fear.
“Ahh! Son of a bitch!” Henry screamed in pain as the Pegasus head-butted his guts.
Bang! Bang!
“What happened to my wing?” Dash cried out in terror as she felt a striking pain and blood streaming from her left wing.
“You shot it?” Glen asked in a panicked anger.
“Well what was I supposed to do? It head-butted me!”
“What the hay was that? Rainbow Dash! Of all the stupidest things to do.” Applejack scolded the injured pony.
“Oh my gosh! Are you okay Dashy?”
“Yeah, yeah. I’m stupid, whatever. Now help me! I am in serious PAIN!” Dash cried out.
“Get a medic to patch her up. I’ll deal with these other two,” Glen yelled to the soldiers.
“S… stay away or… I’ll… do something,” Fluttershy wimmpered in fear as Glen stood over her.
“Don’t worry, I’m not going to hurt you,” Glen let out his hand.
“But y… y… you hurt… hurt my R… Ra… Rainbow,” She burst out crying causing Glen to hold her awkwardly.
“Huh, it’s okay pony,” Glen assured while patting her back. “Wait… Did you say “my Rainbow” in the way that I think it means?”
“Get your dirty paws off my marefriend!” Dash yelled over from where the medic was wrapping her bloody wing.
“Marefriend? What the fuck is a mare… Oh.”
“Pardon me, uh, Glen? What are you?” Applejack questioned poking Glen’s head in curiosity.
“We are humans miss. We are military units of our country that is the United States of America, of the planet Earth. My name is Captain Glen Webster,” He spoke confidently as if he was now used to the talking ponies.
“Humans? And you speak Equestrian?” Fluttershy spoke up to the man cradling her.
“Well we call it English but… yeah we speak Equestrian.” Glen chuckled.
“Can you fly?” Rainbow blurted out randomly has she trotted over and started nuzzling Fluttershy’s teary face. “I’m sorry for being stupid.”
“Oh Rainbow I don’t care. I’m just happy that you’re okay,” Fluttershy passionately kissed Dash while being let down by Glen.
“We can’t naturally fly, but we use machines to do that for us.”
“So you were in those big metal things in the sky?”
“Yes, what you probably saw was either a V-22 Osprey, a UAV drone, or a V-45 Stork.”
As Fluttershy was about to ask another question, Glen’s radio started to go off and startled the three ponies.
“Hey Glen… Wasssup!”
“What is it?”
“We are within 10 klicks of the town. Have you gone into the town?”
“Yes I have. We will wait for your forces here in the town.”
“Alright Captain, we will set up a HQ and an airstrip for more operations.”
“Yes General. Captain out.” Glen put his radio down and looked back at the three ponies staring at him and smiled. “What?”
“What is that? And who was that?” Fluttershy asked.
“This is a radio.” He said pointing to his devise that was now strapped to his chest. “It allows me to talk to people very far away. And I was talking to General Shockley of the 403rd Armored Division. Him and his Division of about 12,000 troops are headed this way.”
“D… did you say 12,000? Like 12,000 humans?” Rainbow Dash gasped in surprise.
“Yup. Give or take a hundred,” He chuckled. “So who is in charge of all of you?”
“Yah must be talking ‘bout the Princesses. They are the leaders of Equestria.” Applejack said confidently.
“Will we be able to speak to them?”
“Ah think Twilight can help you with that. She is Princess Celestia’s apprentice.”
“That’ll be great, cause we… technically speaking, just invaded your country.”
“Oh… uh yeah, of course. Lets go get Twilight.” Applejack motioned the captain to follow her.
-Ruins of Fillydelphia-
Amongst the smoldering city the German soldiers rounded up the remaining ponies and sent them to a firing squad. The bodies were then either buried in shallow graves or burned. Patrols roamed the city searching for ponies that are still alive. “Check that store, I’m feeling good about this one.” The Squad commander pointed to a bakery. “Drag them out and bring them to the firing squad.” The soldiers nodded and smashed into the store. A few minutes later a soldier came flying out the window and some shots sounded off into the smoky sky. The event was followed by the other soldiers dragging out a dead, fairly big unicorn stallion, as well as two other unicorn ponies. The small one was screaming at the dead one and the female one was holding the small one closely and crying.
“That big one didn’t give up without a fight.” One soldier said pointing at the dead pony.
“I don’t give a damn. My only care is that these two are still alive. Prepare the firing squad.” The Sergeant angrily commanded.
The soldier spat at the ground and saluted. “Yes Sir.”
“Good. Now go.” He glared at the soldier as he ran off to join the firing squad. The two were backed up to the side of a fallen building as five men with rifles stood in front of them as one shouted at them. The last words the two heard over their crying were a different language. “Fertig, ziel, schießen!”
On the other side of the city the two doctors were discussing with the General about their findings. “We are in the country of Equestria, the capitol, Canterlot is north of here about 290 klicks away. Also the military can be easily overtaken by our forces.”
“Very good doctors. What of our prisoner?”
“Dead, the poor thing died right after it told us what we needed.”
“That is too bad.” He chuckled before reaching for his radio. “Commander, I want airstrikes and paratroopers on the capitol, North 290 klicks.”
“Yes General.”
-Northwest of Ponyville-
The 403rd Armored Division was just coming out of a mountain range as they headed straight into a bog. The area wreaked something awful and they were getting weird vibes. The first tank in the line found something strange coming from the bog and reported it to the General a few tanks down the line. “This is Tank 1 ‘Jack Rabbit’ we are picking up a strange anomaly on the heat sensor. There is something really big in here sir.”
“Alright. All tanks and personnel, be on alert.” When he finished four large serpent heads popped out of the bog and roared at the line of tanks. “Holy Shit!” Was the shared reaction from almost all the soldiers.
“It’s a fucking Hydra!” One soldier yelled to the others in the lead tank.
“A what?” The others yelled back at him.
“A hydra! It’s from Greek mythology and shit. If you cut off one of its heads two more grow.”
“Shit. So we’re screwed?”
“No. Um… If we burn the necks after the head is separated the other heads wont be able to grow.”
“How are we gonna burn it?”
“Incendiary rounds.” He answered, pointing to some tank shells.
“Shit that’ll work.” The tank commander agreed and got his radio. “Switch to incendiary rounds, we can kill it with these!” The tank line quickly switched and began firing at the hydra. As the head blew off the neck, it was singed by the napalm explosives. It seemed to work so they kept at it until the headless body sunk back into the swamp. The hydra managed to flip over two tanks but no casualties. Taking no chances to see if there was more to the attack the line kept on moving down the small trail leading to the main road.
-Canterlot-
“Your Highness! I have spotted a group of aliens down in the town of Ponyville.” A Pegasus guard cried out as he burst through the doors.
“General!” Celestia yelled to the pony to her left. “Send the closest legion to surround the aliens in Ponyville.”
“Of course Princess, it will be done.” He assured and ran off to the barracks.
“Oh dear. Oh dear.” Celestia breathed heavily as she contemplated the different scenarios of what could happen. “Guard, how many aliens did you see in Ponyville?”
“I would say about ten. They were in the town square with two metal carriages. I think I saw pony hostages with them, about four.”
“Oh my… I hope Twilight and the elements are okay.”
“Are you speaking of the Mane Six, Princess?”
“Yes, all six reside in Ponyville. Twilight, my pupil and element of magic, a purple unicorn, Rarity, element of generosity, a white unicorn, Pinkie Pie, element of laughter, a pink earth pony, Applejack, element of honesty, a orange earth pony, Fluttershy, element of kindness, a yellow pegasus, and Rainbow Dash, element of loyalty, a cyan pegasus.”
“Princess.” The guard looked at her in a nervous way. “The last four elements you said were the hostages I saw. Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Rainbow Dash.” The princess soon wore the same face of nervousness as the guard.
“The legion is on their way,” The General reported back to the Princess while galloping back in.
-German Air Strip in Occupied Fillydelphia-
“This is Lieutenant Frederick Stovenhoff. Requesting take off.”
“Lieutenant, you are clear for take off. Teach them the fierce power of the almighty Germans.”
The colossal LB-573 Black Dragon lifted into the air with its devastating payload of 150,000 lbs of explosives. The bomber flew off into the sky towards the unsuspecting city of Canterlot. Then nineteen more LB-573’s lifted off for their pursuit of destruction.
-Twilight’s Library-
‘Knock knock knock… Knock knock knock…’ “Twilight are you there? It’s Pinkie Pie!” The voice behind the door reassured Twilight that there wasn’t any danger.
“I’m coming!” She yelled while opening the door. “I’m so glad it’s safe out and… Ahhhhhhhhh!” She screamed and slammed the door shut at the sight of the alien looming over Pinkie Pie.
“It’s okay Twilight, they’re friendly.”
“R…really? If… you say so.” She slowly opened the door back open to the alien and Pinkie.
“You must be Twilight, good to meet you.” Glen spoke kindly and reached out his hand. Twilight looked at him intently and cautiously reached out her hoof towards his hand and shook it.
“Nice to meet you too. You name is?”
“Captain Glen Webster. I am a human of the planet Earth, and the country of the United States of America.
“Yes, I’m Twilight Sparkle and this is my assistant Spike.” She pointed to the baby dragon sleeping in a basket within her home.
“Is that a… dragon?”
“He’s just a baby but yes, he is a dragon. You seem to know what he is, does Earth have dragons.”
“Thankfully we don’t. They’re just mythical creatures on Earth, just like unicorns and pegasi.”
“Really? How odd.”
“I guess so. I have also heard you have ties with this Princess I have been told of.”
“Why yes. I’m her star pupil. Why do you ask?”
“Well my superiors would like to talk to her about negotiations so there won’t be bloodshed. Since my kind… technically invaded your country.” He grinned slightly.
“Oh… I guess that is pretty important. I’ll write a letter to her right away. Oh Spike can y…”
“Captain!” Private Rico Vasquez yelled out from behind him.
“What is it?”
“We have a large amount of possible threats heading right towards us from the Northeast.”
“How many?”
“Like 5,000.”
“Shit. Is Smith awake yet?”
“Yes and affiliated with the whole ponies thing.”
“You four get inside.” Glen pointed at the idling ponies behind him. The rushed inside Twilights Library and shut the door. Glen and Rico ran back to town square were the others were. When they got there everyone but Sgt. Kevin Saundry was around the tank. “Where the hell is Saundry?” Questioned Glen.
“Right here!” Kevin yelled out walking up to them with a sleeping white unicorn in his arms.
“Why are you carrying that?”
“Well I wasn’t gonna leave her on the ground unconscious.”
“Why was she? Never mind, I don’t want know. Just put her in the Stryker for now we have a problem.”
“What’s the problem?”
“The locals.”
