Frost was running across the tundra, the sky was pitch black, windigos rushed at her sides and she charged onwords toward Equstria.

Let us back up to two hours ago.

Jade was making a ham sandwich. It was Saturday and her folks were out. She pulled a root beer out of the fridge and plopped down on the couch. "May the My little Pony marathon begin!" She declared with a laugh as she turned on the TV.

As she finally got into season 6 the doorbell rang. She paused the episode, got up and looked through the peephole 'who is it?' She thought, but no one was there, only a letter was on the doorstep. 'Well that's weird' she thought as she quickly brought it in.

'No mailing address, double weird' she thought as she began to open it.

Inside was a simple letter, it read; Fire or Frost, and had a line. Jade was confused by this, I mean who wouldn't be. She checked the back, the envolope, heck even the inside of the envolope. Nothing. She looked at the question again, 'aw, what the heck' she thought and then she wrote on the line: Frost.

'What's the worst that could happen?' She thought as she finished writing it down.

Then the world went black.

"Mental note, never think that sentence ever again" she groaned as she slowly came to. She slowly opened her eyes and was met with snow. Lots and lots of snow. 'What the-' she thought and then she looked down at herself. 'Holy mother of Faust! What the hell happened to me!' She mentally screamed as she viewed at what she had become.

She was a horse, but not just a horse, no she was made of ice, but of course she was not just made out of ice.

She was armored with it.

'Wait a minute' she thought as she continued to look down at herself. She slowly began to recollect every HiE fic she had ever read 'holy crap, I'm in Equestria' she thought and her eyes slowly widened. 'So I'm a huge ice armored pony, in the middle of nowhere. Ain't that peachy' she thought sarcastically and then she realized where she was.

    'Must get up' she thought frantically as she realized the reality of the situation. She slowly tried to get up, her icicle armored hooves moving slowly, 'there's bound to be some sort of tundra creature here that eats ponies I-' and then a windigo showed up. 'Called it' she mentally deadpanned, three minutes in Equstria and now she was going to die. "Reality sucks" she grumbled as the windigo became face to face with her. As she expected the windigo to eat her or something, it did the strangest thing, it bowed to her.

"Greeting's your majesty" it said and Jade blinked and stared 'well, reality be damned' was all that went through her mind, but she replied "greetings, I am-" 'who am I?' She thought as she looked at the windigo, she  quickly thought of a fierce name. "-Frostbite, yes I am Frostbite" and the windigo kneeled before her.

"What a fierce name your majesty" it complemented and then it turned its head and gave her a frosty smile. "I can't think of a better name for the windigo queen" it said.

"Hold on a minute, queen?!" Frost exclaimed. And the windigo nodded, "the Oracle told of your coming, your majesty. As the ending night comes a alicorn made of ice and frost, will come and bring the windigos to strength." The windigo recited with a smile, and then flew up and looked her straight in the face. "You are the alicorn! You will bring us back to power, just like our ancestors!" The windigo exclaimed with a clap of its forehooves.

'Ok, well that escalated' Frost thought and then she looked over at the windigo, "what is your name" she said in a (not meaning to) but commanding way. "It is an honor you wish to know my name, I am blizzard, your majesty" he said with a bow. "Alright blizzard, were are the rest of your people?" Frost questioned. The quicker she resolved this mess the better.

"I shall summon them, your majesty" Blizzard said and then he turned and screeched to the sky. Three shapes broke past the horizon and rushed toward them, as they got closer Frost examined the windigos. The one in front had a stocky build, and a stoic expression on its face, the other one had a more lithe frame 'probably female' frost thought and then she observed the last one. It was smaller than the other two and had a dopey smile on its face, as they finally approached her the first two kneeled.

"It is an honor to meet you your majesty" the stoic one said and the other nodded in agreement, the odd one just gave Frost a huge smile and a wave. 'I like the derpy one' Frost mused, and then the stoic one started introducing himself and his comrades, "I am Thin Ice, the mare is Snowflake, and the disobedient fool over there is Sunny" he snorted as he glared at his foalish comrade.

   Frost nodded her head, 'so we got the solider, the babe, and the odd ball. Sweet' she thought with childlike glee and then she turned to Snowflake. "What year and day is it" she asked and as Snowflake was about to respond the world turned to night, 'nighttime already? That shouldn't be-' and then Frost noticed a certain moon eclipsing a sun. Her eyes widened 'Aw crap, it's that day' she thought and then she quickly turned to Blizzard. "Where is Equestria"she commanded.

The windigo wilted under her gaze, "To the south your majesty" Blizzard quickly answered, with fear in his eyes. "We must move, quickly then" Frost commanded and the others (besides Sunny) tilted there heads questionably towards her. Frost noticed the stares and prepared the best BS she could muster.

"I sense an extreme event that is about to happen there, and if we get there quickly we maybe able to use it to our advantage" she explained, 'eternal night ain't that bad when your a windigo' she thought with a smile. The other windigos bought the explanation, "Then let us be off!"  Thin ice exclaimed and the others nodded, well Sunny was chasing his ethereal tail but Frost was quite sure he got the message.

  Thin ice facehoofed "Why out of all of our kind he has to be a survivor he groaned and Snowflake stifled a giggle. 'Maybe being royalty won't be that bad' Frost mused as she followed Thin ice and they all raced across the tundra.

'Whoa, this feels awesome' Frost thought as she sped forward on all fours. The wind whistled by her face but strangely nothing obscured her vision, sure the occasional snowflake got in her eye, but that was it. As they sped on they soon saw buildings, the windigos took flight but Frost on the other hand stopped. 'I don't know how to fly' she mentally panicked. The windigos stopped and looked back at her, "here goes nothing" she grumbled and then she stretched her wings and flapped.

She rose quickly into the air, 'OK launch accomplished, now how do I steer these things'  Frost thought as she looked down at her wings. After quite a few 'close ones' Frost got a preschool idea on how flying worked. 'Flap=up, stretched wings=glide, tilted feathers=steer, screw up=crash' as she kept that in mind she flapped her wings and shakily accelerated towards the windigos.

As they soared in the sky Frost looked down and watched the little homes race beneath them. As Frost turned her focus forward she saw lazer beams streak across the night sky. 'I think they're that way' she thought sarcastically as she slowly descended (gracefully crashed) near the castle.

As they approached the interior of the castle, ice soon began to climb the walls. 'Better move fast or we'll have company' Frost thought and then they quickly made it to the throne room.

It was a mess.

Rubble was everywhere, the two huge doors at the entrance were torn completely off. There were gaping holes in the roof, just as Frost was going to get a better look, a figure hurled through the roof, and slammed into the marble floor. Frost and the rest of the group dove for cover as the figure tried to get up. 'Ok all I got to do is what for Celestia to get up then-'

Then Celestia blasted through the roof.

Celestia's rainbow mane striked and whirled on her head, "Ready to die sister!" she bellowed with an insane gaze in her eyes. "Never in your dreams, monster!" Nightmare spat, and Celestia just smiled and shook her head. "I going to have fun with Luna, when I'm done with you" she said in a predatory tone and Nightmare's eyes widened as she withdrew the elements.

Frost stood behind a broken pillar, observing the whole scene play out.

Only one thing escaped her mouth.

"What?"
