A ScootaBelle Story
Chapter 7: Chapter 7 - The long break
Previous Chapter Next ChapterAs the three ponies reached town hall, they heard a very familiar voice and the sound of somepony running towards them.
"Hai, guys! What ya doing?" Apple Bloom said as she ran over to them excited to see her two best friends again.
"Hey, Apple Bloom!" Both Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo said in unison also being excited to see their friend so happy after her little 'Self discovery' thing she did the other day.
"Umm.. Who is that stallion with you? Hmm.... Wait! I remember now! You're Scootaloo's dad right Mr. Umm..?
"Wild Strike, but just call me Strike" Wild Strike said, giving a smile towards her daughter's friend.
"Ummm... If ya don't mind me asking.. Why don't ya have your normal winter clothes on? And why does Scootaloo have winter clothes matching Sweetie Belle, and Sweetie Belle having winter clothes matching Scootaloo? Shouldn't it be the other way around?" Apple Bloom asked a bit confused.
"Should we tell her Scoots?" Sweetie Belle whispered to Scootaloo.
"If you want to then go for it" Scootaloo replied with a smile.
"Umm... Y-you see Apple Bloom.. Me and Scoots are... We are-" Sweetie Belle stammered, pretty nervous over what her friends reaction would be.
"Oh Sweetie, stop being so adorable!" Scootaloo said giving Sweetie Belle a kiss on the cheek.
And in 2 seconds flat, Scootaloo had made Apple Bloom's mouth wide open in shock.
"Umm... Yeah.. Me and Scoots are.. Fillyfriends now.." Sweetie Belle explained feeling a bit awkward.
Apple Bloom didn't know what to feel. She was happy for her two friends, but she was also sad and angry over her best friends keeping such a big secret from her, which resulted in her anger taking over her.
"Why didn't you guys tell me?! Why would you guys keep such a big secret from me?! Is it because ya don't trust me anymore?!" Apple Bloom yelled at her friends hitting Sweetie Belle hard with her words.
Feeling bad and guilty for making her friend think she didn't trust her anymore, Sweetie Belle turned around and ran behind a bush with her face full of tears.
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR APPLE BLOOM?!" Scootaloo yelled being angry and shocked by her friends behavior.
"For you two not telling me, DUH!" Apple Bloom replied sounding like even a foal could figure that out.
"Did you ever think of me and Sweetie just coming together THIS MORNING?! OR THAT THIS MAY BE OUR FIRST CHANCE TO TELL YOU?! BECAUSE IT IS! We only just became fillyfriends this morning!" Scootaloo yelled, having a hard time to calm down.
"Oh... Well ah guess that changes things..." Apple Bloom said with a hoof on her chin, wondering why she hadn't thought of it before.
"Now if you would excuse me, I have to go help my fillyfriend who you RUDELY scared into running off with her face full of tears!" Scootaloo said still being very angry at Apple Bloom as she turned around and ran over to Sweetie Belle's hiding spot.
As Scootaloo ran over to Sweetie Belle she spotted a stallion walking towards Sweetie Belle with a worried expression.
He was a yellow unicorn with a blue mane and a cutie mark that looked like a shooting star.
Scootaloo began to run even faster towards Sweetie Belle not wanting the stallion to get involved in the whole situation.
When she reached Sweetie Belle she could see that the stallion was standing right behind Sweetie Belle and was about to put a hoof on her shoulder to get her attention.
Scootaloo instantly ran over between the stallion and Sweetie Belle preventing him from going any closer.
"I'm pretty sure she needs me to help her instead of somepony she doesn't know at all" Scootaloo explained trying to get the stallion to go away.
"The poor filly is crying into her own tail. I'm pretty sure its best to let an adult handle this." He replied using his magic to move Scootaloo out of the way.
He then put a hoof on Sweetie Belle's shoulder trying to make her look up. But Sweetie Belle just kept crying into her tail, not bothering to look up.
"What's wrong filly?" The stallion asked, trying to make Sweetie Belle calm down.
But Sweetie Belle didn't answer as she felt very unsecure over not knowing the pony who was standing behind her.
While the stallion was busy thinking of ways to help Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo used the opportunity to sneak past him and over to Sweetie Belle. She then started running her hoof gently through her mane.
"It's okay Sweetie" Scootaloo whispered trying to comfort her fillyfriend.
Upon hearing that, the stallion snapped out of his thoughts and saw Scootaloo standing next to Sweetie Belle. He was just about to go over there and move her out of the way like last time, but he stopped upon hearing Sweetie Belle finally talk.
"S-Scootaloo?" Sweetie Belle asked having a hard time to see who the filly was through her tears.
"Yes Sweetie, I'm here. And I'm not going anywhere without you" Scootaloo replied with a soft tone in her voice.
As soon as Sweetie Belle heard Scootaloo's voice again, she threw herself into Scootaloo while crying into her chest.
Scootaloo wrapped her hooves around her shivering fillyfriend holding her close while letting her cry into her chest.
The stallion was shocked but then decided to go away and let Scootaloo handle it.
"Shh... It's okay Sweetie." Scootaloo whispered as softly as she possibly could while stroking Sweetie Belle's mane.
"N-no its not! A-Apple Bloom probably h-hates me now for being so w-weak and just running away instead of explaining wh-why we first told her today!" Sweetie Belle cried out feeling guilty of just running away.
"Sweetie. You're not weak. Remember what happened yesterday?" Scootaloo asked keeping the soft tone in her voice.
"Y-yes.. You were staying at my house." Sweetie Belle answered confused over what it had to do with anything.
"Not that. Before that at the bowling center. You asked me a simple question that I could've easily just answered. But I ran away instead because I couldn't get myself to answer." Scootaloo explained still holding Sweetie Belle close to her.
"Y-yes I remember that" Sweetie Belle answered still not knowing what it had to do with the situation.
"And did you hate me after running away?" Scootaloo asked.
"N-no! I was so worried about you. I felt horrible." Sweetie Belle answered having a hard time to talk through all her tears.
"See? You were worried because you hurt your friend. Apple Bloom was still angry at you after you left, but I'm sure she's worried now that I explained it to her. We've known Apple Bloom for over a year Sweetie. She usually jumps to a conclusion pretty quick and sometimes that leads to misunderstandings. But when she figures out what actually happened, she's usually very understanding." Scootaloo explained as she began stroking Sweetie Belle's mane again.
A few seconds later Sweetie Belle finally sat up and looked at Scootaloo who had a very worried expression on her face.
"Scootaloo?" Sweetie Belle said gaining Scootaloo's attention.
"Yes?" Scootaloo answered in a concerned tone.
"Thank you." was all Sweetie Belle said before she pulled Scootaloo in and planted a kiss on her lips.
They sat there for about twenty seconds until they ran out of breath and broke the kiss, breathing heavily afterwards.
"Wow.." Was all Scootaloo could say.
"Yeah.. It feels so great every time" Sweetie Belle said with her usual cute voice.
"I'm glad to see that you're cheering up again" Scootaloo said with a smile.
"That's all thanks to you Scoots.. I love you Scootaloo" Sweetie thanked, happy that she had such a great fillyfriend.
"I love you too Sweetie Belle" Scootaloo said giving her fillyfriend a big hug.
"We should probably get back to the others.. They're probably very worried about you." Scootaloo said as she broke the hug.
"Yeah.. You're probably right.." Sweetie Belle shrugged knowing that it would probably be a bit awkward when meeting Apple Bloom again after all this.
The two fillies then started walking back to find Apple Bloom and Wild Strike again..
