Chapter 1: Asking Her Out
Soarin uneasily glanced up at the grotty mirror in the colt's bathroom for the umpteenth time now. He had to be ready. He was going to do it. Ask Rainbow Dash on a date[./i] Soarin occasionally squirted a blob of gel in his mane with his wing, and pulled his blue hair back, looking slick and glossy. He tightened the crimson bow around his neck and stared at himself for the last time. Soarin burst out of the room, strutting down the hallway, past the lockers and groups of ponies.
"Oooooh! I wonder who the lucky filly is," squealed Blossomforth, holding a hoof up to her heart.
"Perhaps it's Spitfire?" suggested Clear Skies, fake fainting as the handsome stallion strolled past her. Unfortunately, he walked right past Spitfire, not even taking notice of her. He eventually stopped at--
"--Rainbow Dash?!" hissed Flitter, narrowing her her eyebrows. "How?!".
Soarin nervously shifted his eyes, opening his mouth to speak, but he was cut off by Rainbow Dash, who was standing beside her cousin Fluttershy.
"Oh, hey Soarin! Why're you all dressed up? Who's the lucky filly?" she joked, laughing. Soarin didn't laugh. He stared deeply into Rainbow's magenta eyes like they were hypnotising him.
"Rainbow Jennifer Danger Dash, will you go on a date with me?" implored Soarin. He held his breath, waiting for an answer. Everypony in the hall gasped. Rainbow Dash gasped, holding her mouth wide open. He was expecting, "No, I'm sorry, but I don't like you that way," but instead he heard...
"I--I...uh, wow this is quick... Yes, Soarin! I'd hate to leaving you hanging," she cried, launching herself onto Soarin, embracing a tearful hug. Some ponies clapped while some other frowned and trotted off in a sulk. "I guess I'm not single anymore," smiled Rainbow, nuzzling Soarin.
"Neither am I," replied Soarin. The pair happily trotted off to the last class of the day, while Fluttershy hung behind to grab her books out from her locker. Once they arrived at the laboratory for Chemistry class, Soarin politely held the door open for his new marefriend.
Rainbow glanced up at him and smiled. "Thanks, Soar," she said, walking through.
"Anything for my favourite mare," muttered Soarin, slowly grinning to himself. He was lost in thoughts about important 'things' when he was cut off by Rainbow Dash.
"Sweet talker, much? We've only been sorta together for 10 minutes!" prompted Dash, pulling on a lab coat and goggles, and taking a seat. Soarin did the same and took a seat next to Rainbow Dash.
"I'm just being nice," he mumbled. "How about I take you out this Saturday? Give us three days to tell our parents,".
"I'd like that," smiled Rainbow. The rest of the class came rushing into the class, taking their own seats. She was about to speak but Ms. Fleeterfly cut her off.
"Afternoon, Class. Today we will be doing some chemical experiments, so I am allowing you to do what ever you want, but I have my rules,". Ms. Fleeterfly booped a button on the Smart whiteboard and it flashed, showing all of the teacher's top rules.
No drinking or eating food OR chemicals.
No pouring chemicals onto ponies or anything else.
No using chemicals without permission.
Listen to the teacher at all times.
Nothing dangerous, play it safe unless you know what you are doing.
Have fun!
"Begin!".
Soarin flew off his seat and darted towards the small test tubes. He picked up two glass tubes with liquid (he couldn't pronounce the names) with his wings and set them on the table. Rainbow poured them both into a large plastic cylinder...BANG!
Everypony stared at the pair, who were covered with black soot. Rainbow Dash was in utter amazement, while Soarin just sat there, unable to comprehend what just happened.
"T-that was AWESOME!" clamoured Rainbow, a huge grin on her face.
"Ack!" shrieked Soarin, coughing up black dust. She brushed himself off and they galloped off to the bathrooms to clean up. They both went to the disabled shower room, that had no gender sticker on the front. Rainbow turned on the tap and stepped under the warm shower. The soot washed off her coat and hair and she smiled at Soarin.
Damn she thought. Soarin looks hella hot in the shower, Sweet Celestia!
Once they were finished in the showers, they stood under the dryers. The cold air slammed down on both of them, making Rainbow's hair fly in random place. They flew out and back to the lab. On the way there, Soarin noticed a bit of Rainbow's hair was sticking out in the most random position ever. He slowly brushed it back into the proper style.
"Thanks," giggled Rainbow. "Race you to the lab?".
"Oh, you're on!".
The pair zoomed at full speed down the corridors, neck-and-neck. At last, they arrived at the door to the lab, resting against the wall.
"I obviously won," breathed Rainbow, gasping for air.
"No, I won!" moaned Soarin, nudging Rainbow.
"Whatever, I still won," she whispered. She walked in to see that the class was finished! "I guess school's over then. I've gotta tell my parents, come on!".
Rainbow tugged on Soarin and dragged him all the way to her cloud mansion of a house. She barged through the doors, and Soarin stood up straight.
"Hi, mom. Hi, dad," said Rainbow, nervously. She pulled Soarin and sat on the cloud couch.
"Hi, Dashie. Who's this?" asked Firefly, looking at Soarin, puzzled. Perhaps that's her boyfriend?! They're so cute together!
"Well, Mom--".
"I know you!" cried Spectrum. "You were at the Wonderbolts Trials! I'm Spectrum, a real Wonderbolt if I must say,".
Soarin's eyes widened. "Your dad's Spectrum Dash?! The Wonderbolt?!" he hissed.
Rainbow nodded her head. "WELL, Mom and Dad, meet my... alomst-boyfriend,".
"I called it!" gasped Firefly. She jumped up to her daughter and Soarin and embraced them in a hug. "You guys are adorable!".
"Oh, erm thanks, Mom," muttered Rainbow, blushing.
"R-rainbow Dash? My little filly is growing up! I can't believe it. You'll stay my little girl, right?!" demanded Spectrum, his face going straight.
"Dad!" moaned Rainbow. "I'm not little anymore! I'm growing up!".
"Hmm..." sighed Spectrum. He got up and walked to the kitchen.
"Mrs. Firefly, does your husband approve of us being together?" enquired Soarin, doing his best to ask smart.
"Please, just call me Firefly! Nothing fancy, I insist. Rainbow's father has always been protective. Just, a bit too much, but he's reason with you. Now, run along, crazy kids! Haha, go have fun!".
Rainbow nervously laughed and left the house with Soarin.
"Sorry about my parents. My mom is so embarrassing and my dad is a control freak," sighed Dash, and she flew slightly about the ground.
"You're lucky! At least your parents don't forget about you. My mom is constantly off at her office job at the Rainbow Factory and barely has any time for me. I called her office phone the other day and she said 'Soarin who?'".
"Ouch. Then leave a note,".
"Nah, it's not like she'll read it. She only comes home to drop off bits for me or to get any documents she left at home. Let's hang out at mines,".
Soarin led Rainbow to a normal sized cottage, nowhere near as big as Rainbow's house. They sat on the couch and Soarin switched on the T.V.
"You hungry? I've got...a half eaten daffodil burger and stale hayfries," sighed Soarin. He had completely no food.
"Nah. Not peckish... Where are you taking me on Saturday?".
"It's a surprise!" squealed Soarin, clapping his hooves.
Rainbow huffed, "I hate surprises,".
Chapter 2: The Date
Rainbow squealed with excitement. It was finally Saturday! She was staring in the mirror, combing up her mane and tying it into a messy bun. Rainbow smiled to herself as she stepped into her dress, which was was dark pink with black buttons. She added a dark pink and black rose into her mane. Suddenly, Firefly came bursing into her bedroom.
"Oh, Dashie!" she cried, tears escaping her purple eyes. "You look beautiful,". She hugged her daughter.
"Thanks, Mom," sighed Rainbow. She sheepishly smiled and blushed. Spectrum came trotting into the room aswell.
"Oh, Rainbow, you look great. Just be careful, I don't want you getting hurt again," he said, a look of worry on his face. He really cared for his daughter, just a bit too much.
"Dad, Thunderlane was a mistake! It was a dare, he told me. I didn't even care,".
Firefly sat on Rainbow's bed. "That's not what I remember," she implored. "Moooooom, he was my only love! Waaaaaaaah! Sniff sniff!" she fake-sobbed, immitating Dash.
"Whatever," murmured Rainbow Dash, pushing Thunderlane aside in her head. She had Soarin now, and that's all she could ever want.
There was a sudden ring at the door.
"I'll get it!" yelped Rainbow, darting downstairs and opening the door. Soarin stood up straight with a tuxedo on, his hair was slicked back like when he asked her out.
"Good evening, milady," he addressed, kneeling down like Rainbow was Princess Celestia.
"Oh, stop!" scoffed Rainbow, slightly blushing. Her parents came flying down the stairs.
"Have a nice time, Dashie," smiled Firefly, kissing her daughter on the cheek.
"And treat her like the young mare she is, or else!" hissed Spectrum, narrowing his eyes. Soarin uneasily nodded. He led Rainbow outside and they took off into the night, under the light of Princess Luna's moon.
"Where are we going?" enquired Rainbow, stopping for a minute.
"Just follow me!" called out Soarin, he was already miles away from his marefriend.
They flew on for about 10 minutes, until Soarin landed outside the local pizzeria.
"Pizza?!" cried Rainbow, landing and barging through the doors. "How'd you know?!".
"I know you hate anything fancy and I know you like this pizza place. What do you want?" asked Soarin. He hovered over to the counter. The cashier-pony was quite young, with blue eyes, long hair with three shades of blue and a pastel-yellow coat.
"Good evening! My name is Sunshower and this is Zephyr Breeze--".
An older stallion smiled and waved.
"--who will be your waiter tonight. What can I do for you?" asked Sunshower, looking down at the menu in her hooves.
"Can I get a large daisy and daffodil pizza?". Soarin rummaged in his pocket for his wallet.
"Of course, that'll be 5 bits," entreated Sunshower. Soarin placed down the money, and the mare grabbed them to put in her cash register. She pointed to a table with two seats and the pair sat down.
"So, Soar, d'you want to come to my brother's house for a family renunion tomorrow? I'd be nice for you to meet the rest of my folks," said Rainbow. Zephyr Breeze suddenly appeared and dropped the plate off on their table. She grabbed one and took a large bite. "Yum~!".
Soarin took a piece, too. "I'd love to. What time?".
"Just meet me outside my house at 1 in the afternoon,".
They soon finished the pizza, and Soarin led Rainbow to another surprise. They sat down on an old bench in Cloudsdale Park and Soarin positions his marefriend's hair to the sky.
"Hit it, Sun Chaser," he whispered. Fireworks soon exploded into the sky, writing out 'I ❤ Rainbow Dash!' in rainbow letters.
"Oh, Soar!" she sobbed, burying her head into his chest. Soarin raised her head and kissed her deeply.
Meanwhile, behind the bushes, Spitfire was kneeling down and gaping her mouth open at the sight of Rainbow Dash locking lips with her crush! Oh, was she going to get her back...!
Chapter 3: Family Reunion
It was 1:43 when the group of pegasi set off.
"Gah! I can't believe we're going to be late!" grouched Firefly, trying to pick up speed. "We were supposed to arrive at 2!".
"It was you who started baking zap apple pie at 1:20!" snapped Rainbow Dash, flying faster. Soarin sped up to be beside her. "Why didn't you bake it last night?".
"Well, soh-ree if your mother gets tired once in a while!" hissed Spectrum.
Soarin awkwardly shifted from the side of Rainbow that her parents were on, to her empty other side.
"Maybe if we flew faster we could get to the station quicker?" he suggested, ready for a race but Rainbow simply snorted with laughter.
"No need," she said, diving down to the cloud floor. "We're here,".
Firefly searched in her saddlebag and pulled out 4 two-way tickets. "I've paid for you Soarin," she smiled. Soarin gave her a 'Thanks!' grin and clenched the ticket in his mouth. They all boarded the train and took their seats. Rainbow stuck her muzzle in her own saddlebag and took out her favorite Daring Do book.
The ticket-pony strolled by their seats.
"Tickets, please!" he ordered, holding out a hoof. Each pony handed in their train ticket, and the stallion stamped the 'Cloudsdale to Las Pegasus' box. "Thank you,".
Once he left, Firefly took out the zap apple pie and check whether it had been crushed during the flight to the station Luckily, I was in its original state.
"Oh, Soarin! Want to hear a story why Rainbow Dash and her father have rainbow hair?" asked Firefly, getting comfortable for the ride. Before Soarin could answer, she had already started. "When I was pregnant with Dashie, Spectrum told me his mother used to eat 6 jars of zap apple jam, and that's how his mane turned out to be pure rainbow. So, I used the same trick and it worked! I gave birth to twins Rainbow Dash and Rainbow Blitz on February 1st who have pure rainbow manes!".
"Nice story..." mumbled Soarin, peering over Rainbow's shoulder to read the page she was on.
"Everybody off!" cried the train-driver, blowing his whistle. The family and Soarin grabbed their bags and got off the train, to see Rainbow Blitz, his wife Lilac Sky and their 3-year-old filly Snowy Sky.
"Granny! Grampy! Auntie!" squealed Snowy, galloping up to her family members and embracing them in a hug. "And...who are you?". She pointed to Soarin.
"That's Soarin, Snowy. My..erm, boyfriend," said Rainbow, playing with her hooves.
"Boyfriend?! I didn't know Dashie was into that lovey-dovey stuff!" joked Blitz, ruffling his little sister's mane.
"Ugh, whatever," groaned Rainbow Dash, following Blitz to his house.
Lilac walked up beside Soarin.
"So you're the lucky stallion who get's to date Rainbow Dash, eh?" she asked, nudging him on the shoulder. "She a real character, ever since I met her when Blitz and I were in 5th Grade. Dash was about...3? Blitzy was 11 and I was 10. Well, now he's 24, so Rainbow Dash is now...18?" questioned Lilac.
"Yep-a-lep-a-ding-dong," he sighed.
"Phew, I'm not that great with the numbers, you kno--ARGH!" shrieked Lilac, crumpling up and grasping her stomach.
"L-lilac?!" yelped Soarin, kneeling down to the horrified mare. "Are you okay?! What happened?!".
Lilac responded with a queasy groan. She clutched her tummy, tears streaming down her cheeks.
"Woah! Lilac, baby! What..what happened?! SOARIN WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED?!" barked Blitz, flying at full speed to his wife.
"I don't know!! We're were talking about Rainbow Dash and then she suddenly screamed!".
Blitz checked her over. She wasn't bleeding or cut. He scooped her up and the group darted to Blitz home. Blitz burst through the door and up the stairs, placing Lilac on the bed. As if by magic, the pain had disappeared.
"Is Mommy gonna be okay?" asked Snowy, in the most cutest, most innocent voice ever.
"Y-yes, sweetie, she's fine! She just tripped on a rock, that's all," lied Spectrum, seating the filly on the couch and turning 'Power Ponies! Go!' on the T.V.
"Oh, good afternoon, sunny buns!" croaked out an old pony, who was sitting in a rocking chair.
"That's my gran, Pizzelle. She's a bit deaf so speak up when you're talking to her!" whispered Rainbow. "Hello, gran! How's it like in Fillydelphia?".
"Oh, I've been quite alright, Rainbow Dash," cackled the older pegasus. Her wings were so limp and frail it would cause her any harm to be amputated. "D'you mind callin' your brother for me? I've got a request for dinner!".
Rainbow nodded and flew up the stairs. She knocked on the bedroom door.
"Blitz? Lilac...? Hellooooo?" she called. Rainbow put her ear up to the door and she heard faint crying. She slowly pushed open the door. "Gosh, is everything okay in here?".
It obviously wasn't. Lilac was bawling her eyes out and Blitz held his head in his head in his hooves.
"I-I can't d-do this!" sniveled Lilac, looking up at Rainbow. Her eyes were red and stuff from crying.
"Can't do what?!" she begged.
"Dash...Lilac, she's...pregnant," yearned Blitz. Lilac suddenly burst into tears again.
Rainbow Dash let her mouth hang open. "Wait. So, you're expecting--".
"Another foal, yes. Dash, how are we going to cope? Snowy's not even in school yet! Please, Dashie, tell you'll help!", whimpered Blitz, looking up, full of hope.
"Of course! I'll visit whenever I get the chance. I can even babysit them both, because if you haven't noticed, I'm great with kids," boasted Dash.
"Ugh, you make me laugh at the wrong times, Dashie. But, don't tell anyone, and I mean anyone. We're not ready for this yet. Thanks, I appreciate your help,".
"No problem! I...think I'm going to go home. I need to just...think about this," said Dash. She weakly waved to her brother and his wife, and went downstairs.
"I'm going home. I...I'm a bit tired, you know? Soarin, c'mon!" snapped Rainbow, dragging Soarin out of the door.
"Hey!" he whimpered. "Why are we leaving? Your gran is actually intriguing,".
"Oh, puh-lease! Quit lying. C'mon, we're flying home,". Rainbow took off into the sky,and Soarin followed.
"What's wrong with you!" he moaned, slacking behind.
"Well, I'm not supposed to tell you this, but Lilac is pregnant with her second foal and they think they can't cope, so I've offered to babysit any of the ponies at any time if they need us to,".
"Kids hate me! You already know that from the Principal's baby's visit to school!".
"Yeah, that was not pretty," mumbled Rainbow, getting flashbacks of the tiny foal barfing too much sick on Soarin for his size.
"Tell me about it!" groaned Soarin. "I probably smell like barf,".
"Oh, you totally smell of barf!".
"Thanks(!)".
Behind one of the houses, was Sneaky Spitfire yet again.
"How dare she tell my sweetheart he smells like a foal's stomach acid! Ugh, too much detail...but, she has to pay! I just need the perfect day!" she hissed, slithering back into the shadows.
Chapter 4: Graduation Day!
It had been a week since Rainbow and Soarin's first date, and now it was graduation day!
Rainbow angrily tugged on her graduation cap.
"I can't believe we have to wear these," she muttered out of pure annoyance. "The stupid thread keeps hitting my face!".
"Just ignore it, Rainbow," sighed Fluttershy, patting her cousin slash BFF on the shoulder.
"Easy for you to say! Your hat fits perfectly,".
"Stop worrying, Dashie! Just think, you're graduating!" smiled Soarin, picturing a new life with Rainbow Dash. "We could get married, buy a house, have foals--".
"Foals?! A bit too far there, Soar. But hang on, you'll get to bang me someday! Can you hold on for that long?" teased Dash, jokingly.
"I never said that! Stop putting words into my mouth!" snapped Soarin.
"Oh, please! You want a piece of this juicy ass and we know it, don't we Fluttershy?".
Fluttershy giggled and slowly nodded.
Soarin was about to moan on about how much he hated her when Principal Hue announced that she wanted the class of 2016 upon the stage. The group of 57 pegasi trotted onto the stage. Principal Hue began to call out each name.
"--Rainbow Dash--".
Rainbow Dash stood up from her seat, bowed and walked up to the Principal to get her yearbook, class photo, leaving present and she presented a short speech.
"So, hello! I'd just like to thank the class of 2016 for giving me a great last year, especially Soarin and Fluttershy. Gosh, I can't believe I'm tearing up...so, thank you Cloudsdale High School!", announced Rainbow Dash, as her eyes began to sting with tears.
"Whooooo! Go Rainbow Dash! Ye-hea!" shrieked Firefly and Spectrum, who were waving around a banner that said 'GOOD LUCK EVERYPONY!'.
"Stupid parents," she whispered, sitting down next to Soarin. She buried her face into his chest and let out her tears. Some other ponies were sobbing, too.
"I-I'm g-g-gonna miss this s-s-school so much!" she wailed, tears staining Soarin's gown.
"Ssssh, I know Dashie. It's okay," reassured Soarin, kissing Dash on the forehead. She began to calm down. She tried to think about other things, but thoughts of the Thunderlane incident and her brother's new foal flooded her mind making her burst out into uncontrollable tears yet again.
"Now, everypony, stand up, please. 3, 2, 1...throw your hats!".
They all hurled their hats into the air, some ponies laughing while others crying. The rest of the school left the hall, leaving the 12t Graders alone in the hall with their teachers and parents.
"Oh, sweetie! Are you okay?" asked Firefly, kissing her daughter on the forehead. Rainbow hugged her mother tight.
"I know I say I hate school, but I really don't want to leave forever!" she sobbed. She looked up and saw Fluttershy curled up on the floor with her mom and dad comforting her.
"It's all going to be okay, Fluttershy!" sighed Blossomshy, Fluttershy's mom.
All Fluttershy managed to croak out was a "Noo!" which was muffled by her tears/
"Don't worry! D'you want to go home?" asked Streamyshy.
Fluttershy weakly nodded.
Soarin shifted over to his tearful marefriend.
"I know this is the wrong time, but I can't believe you and Blossomshy are sisters!" gasped Soarin.
"Oh, with me, there's never a wrong time! Blossom used to look like me. Her hair used to messy and her fashion style was much more...modern. But when she met Streamyshy she changed completely. She changed her mane, wore glasses and even dyed her coat! Make me feel like I should change, too,".
"Hello?!" prompted Rainbow Dash, her eyes puffy and red. "Mare is distress over here!".
Soarin galloped over to her and swooped her up. "Never fear, your prince Charming is here!"
"I've always wanted to be saved by a barfhead," she joked.
Spectrum watched the couple with a tear in his eye. "My Dashie is growing up!", he said, fighting back the river of tears.
"Speccy, are you...crying?!" asked Firefly.
"N-no! It's liquid pride, totally a different thing,".
Later that night is was the prom. Rainbow and Soarin made their way into the gym hall, which was decorated with strings, streamers, lights, glitter and a disco ball. Loud music boomed out of the speakers.
"I hate this song!" yelled Rainbow, flying over to a more quiet place. Soarin sat beside her.
"Where's Flutters?" he asked, peering through the crowd.
"She normally avoids large places with a lot of people, dark rooms, bright flashing lights, loud music and shouting," explained Rainbow, gesturing with her hooves.
"Sooo, basically a party?".
"Yu--".
Rainbow was cut off by Vinyl Scratch.
"Okay, everypony! Time to take it sloooooow. So find a partner and get down on the dance floor," she slurred, switching the upbeat disco track for a slow and steady one.
"I guess that's our cue," smiled Soarin, grabbing Rainbow's hoof and pulling her up onto the dance floor. They danced for ages, just dreamily staring into each other's eyes. Once the song stopped, Soarin pulling Rainbow for a long smooch on her lips.
"I love you, Rainbow Dash,".
"I...I really love you too, Soarin,".
Spitfire was sneakily hiding underneath the punch table, staring the couple.
"That rainbow-maned sicko doesn't deserve my man! I'll get her back! Just, the perfect day needs to hurry up!".
Chapter 5: Own Home
Soarin sat on the edge of his bed, slowly recounting counting his life's saving of bits to make sure his numbers were correct.
"203, 204, 205--".
"Soar?! Soarin?".
Soarin jolted up and peered out of his window, to see Rainbow Dash banging down his front door.
"Up here," he said, making Rainbow jump. "Ha, did I scare you?".
"N-no, of course not! Now let me in, I need to talk to you," she demanded, banging on the door hard, again.
"Hey, stop, will ya?! The code's 1234,".
"Yeah, because nopony's gonna guess that," murmured Rainbow, as she nudged the numbers into the small lock. The door clicked open and she barged in, closing the door behind her. She galloped upstairs and walked into Soarin's bedroom.
"What's that?" asked Soarin, pointing to his marefriend's saddlebag.
"Oh, this? It's what I want to talk to you about," replied Rainbow, emptying her bags. A thousand coins came rattling out and clicking on the table. "I think we should get our own house!".
Soarin gasped. "Really? D'you think we could manage?".
"Well, I can, but I'm not sure about you, barfhead," tutted Rainbow.
"What's that supposed to mean"?".
"Oh, nothing... But, I think it'd be great! Living on our own and not in a stinky university house! We could invite Fluttershy over, too! What do you say?".
"Alright, alright. How many bits do you have?" asked Soarin. "I've just hit roughly 600,".
"Ha! 5000!" boasted Rainbow, puffing out her chest.
"5-5000?! Damn, are you rich or what?".
"Hehe! Now, I've been looking at some places. Winderflare Manor? It's just a 2 minutes fly away from the university!" suggested Rainbow Dash, taking a seat on her coltfriend's bed. He looked at her with his eyes wide.
"Winderflare Manor?! But, that place is huge!" he gasped.
"Come on, it's not that big! Plus, one of the best Wonderbolts in all of Equestria used to live there; Stark Whiplash!".
"I thought you'd think your dad is the best Wonderbolt in Equestria...?".
"Nah, my dad's crap,".
"Ahahaha! When do you plan on buying the house?" asked Soarin.
"Dunno. We need to look around first. I'll arrange a meeting with the house seller, I've got a connection," giggled Rainbow. She gathered her bits and flew out of the window. "I'll be back in a minute!".
☀☀
2 hours later
☀☀
"Soarin! Lemme in!" growled Rainbow, furiously thwacked her hooves on Soarin's window.
Soarin suddenly jolted up, woken by Rainbow Dash almost banging his window in!
"Woah, woah. Calm down!" he murmured, trudging over to his window. He unlatched the lock and Rainbow came crashing onto him.
"Come on! We have to go!" she snapped, grabbing his hoof and yanking him outside. "We were supposed to be there 5 minutes ago!".
"Where?! You were gone for ages!" moaned Soarin, zooming in Rainbow Dash's direction.
"Just hurry up!".
Rainbow and Soarin flew on for another 2 minutes before Rainbow landed outside Winderflare Manor. Outside the house was another pegasus, tapping her hoof on the floor
and glancing at her watch every five seconds.
"Where is she?" she mumbled, getting ready to take off.
"Chrys! Chrys, we're here!" panted Rainbow, stopping in front of the pony to make sure she didn't leave.
"Rainbow Dash! There you are!" she cried, nuzzling the cyan mare. "Oh, nice to meet you, my name's Chrys Whiplash, Stark Whiplash's sister,". Chrys took Soarin's hoof into her own and began to shake it.
"Sorry, we're late, Chrys. Can we still get a look around?" asked Rainbow Dash, hoping the other mare would agree.
"Sure, I'm not entirely busy today. Please come in!". Chyrs let the couple inside.
"Wow," gawked Soarin, staring at the contents of the house. Everything was polished and clean, but he knew once they moved in it wasn't going to stay this way.
"Wow, indeed," said Chrys, leading the ponies into the front room. "The living room, 42" flat screen television, with every channel in Equestria tuned to it. Chaise lounge couch, with Sweet Apple Acres wood coffee table. Carpets from Baltimare-bred sheep...".
"So, would you like to purchase the house? Furnished, the price is 3500 bits," asked Chrys, looking down at her clipboard.
"Deal?" whispered Rainbow Dash. Soarin nodded. "Deal!".
"Thank you! Would you like to do an upfront payment?".
"Yep!" squealed Rainbow, emptying out a number of bits from her saddlebag.
"Thanks. You can move in as soon you've got your things,".
Rainbow and Soarin exited the house, slowly flying back to Rainbow's cloud mansion.
"I can't believe you paid for the whole house!" snapped Soarin. "Why didn't you let me pay for any of it?".
"Jeez, you really wanna get low on bits, don't 'cha? Besides, we need money for food and stuff," explained Rainbow.
"I was just trying to make it fair. We don't even have jobs, how will you get more bits?".
"Well, maybe I will get a job. Just you wait Soarin Skies. Just you wait,".
"Whatever," sighed Soarin, kissing Rainbow on the cheek.
"Blech! You barfhead!" scrambled Rainbow, frowning and stopping in mid-air.
"Whaddya expect? Want a piggyback, milady?" asked Soarin, holding his hoof out before her
"Do I even have to answer, my good sir?!".
Soarin landed outside of Rainbow house and collapsed to the floor, the clouds catching his fall.
"Damn!" he panted, sweat pouring down his face. "Wha...what have you been eating?!".
"Food," sniggered Rainbow, unlocking the door. She trotted inside to realise her parents weren't home.
"I hate you," murmured Soarin, tugging on Rainbow's mane.
"Ugh, shut up! You love me and you know it,".
"Whateveeeeer!".
Rainbow ignored him and began to write down a note for her parents.
Mom and Dad,
Guess what? We bought a house! You guys weren't home when we got in so I'm probably at Soarin's.
The house is just 5 minutes away from here and about 2 minutes away from the uni.
Yaaay!
-Rainbow Dash
