Canterlot Castle,Equestria

Spears filled the air

I rolled and sprung up quickly staring ahead of me at the menacing sight before me, as Royal Guards filled the castle hallway spears drawn and pointed in my direction.There's so many of them...but I need to keep them busy for the plan to work. Working up the courage.I quickly dashed forward towards one of the guards, his eyes widened as he realized I'd singled him out and steeled himself for my attack, but I was too fast, sliding under his spear and grabbing it in my hooves, I snatched the spear from him and came out behind him, spinning around I bashed him in the back of the head out cold.

I turned to face the rest of them an angry growl escaping my throat. "You'd betray your own country for bits and seat in power!" I spun the spear and cracked it in half on one of my fore-hooves. "Your the worst of the worst, i'll make sure none of you ever leave this hall alive"

Like a calling a bunch of schoolchildren with a lunch-bell the guards released a battle cry and charged, I stared them down and watched as they closed on me.

They were upon me, I spun the two shaft's of the broken spear and took flight quickly rushing forward and in a flurry of whacks and stabbing began to methodically take out the untested guards as I pushed my way forward towards the end of the hall.I ducked as one charged, spear magically held in his telekinetic grip, and I spun trying to dodge another as a another thrust his spear at me.

Using my superior agility I turned and bucked the one that had thrown his spear at the sound of his skull cracking against the walls of the hall echoed in my ear, Moving forward to take out another Royal Guard, a cream colored blur tackled him full on slamming into the 4 remaining and sending them flying, the blur itself landing at the end of the hall, guard and all.

I Stared at the blur as it began to materialize into the familiar shape of Misty Fly, Second in command of Wonderbolts Bravo Team, Apprehension filled my mind as she turned towards me dropping the guard she had in her grip. scowling she got up and walked to me a small scowl on her face.

"Hey,you alright?" I asked the scowling mare.

"No, we hit a snag in breaching the throne room and we need you." She said, thrusting a hoof on me. "So let's go, now" Her tone garnered no argument from me as thoughts of the day before crossed my mind, but I brushed it away putting it in the deepest part of my mind for the moment. Forget about your mistakes right now, we are at war and right now, getting to and in that throne room is your biggest priority.

But it isn't whispered another part of me, I shook those thoughts away and growled.

It was then that I noticed that she had took off down the hall, I quickly followed as the halls of the castle quickly blurred as we turned corners and blasted through small rooms interior rooms.

It was the I decided to ask her what had happened.

She turned to me scowl not as present on her face as it was earlier. "Alpha team was originally supposed to hit the throne room, but Spitfire tasked us to hit it while she and Alpha circled around from the other side, but she forgot one thing, That they have most of the explosives and you're the only one who has them besides Alpha so I was sent to grab you" She then accelerated and jetted ahead leaving me to ponder the situation.

Febuary 7th,2044

4:55 P.M.

Canterlot Castle,Equestria

Damn, she moves fast when she's pissed.I thought as we quickly entered a corridor, large mosaic paintings of famous ponies long dead or currently living hung in the hall.

It was then that I noticed Misty Fly had slowed down, almost hovering. It was also when I noticed that it was more than just us here as I spotted the familiar mane colors of Wave Chill, Fire Streak and Rainbow Dash. The trio of ponies seemed exhausted and battered as I made my way towards them.

Rainbow was the first to spot us first, getting up off her haunches and making her way to Misty fly, her gesturing a hoof back in my direction before walking towards Wave Chill and Fire Streak.

Her scratchy voice reached me before she did herself. "What's up with her, she's been acting like that since last night?" I looked down at my hooves and idly kicked the ground with my right fore-hoof.

"It's a long story Dash," I said Looking up and eyeing her. "So what's going on? why can't we breach the door's?" i questioned her.

"turns out they barricaded the entrance, and we needed some explosives and you're the only one carrying a sizable charge so...get to it" She said pushing me forward towards the door. The others had turned and looked at us with expecting faces, so I pushed her a little bit, a small "Hey!" escaping her as I began to trot at my own pace and joining the group of assembled ponies.

Fire streak was the first to speak up as joined us. "So here's the plan when I detonate the charge, Storm Gale here is gonna place charges here, here and here." pointing to several spots on the door. "Once she's done, Wave chill and I will take the right side of the throne room, and Misty Fly,Rainbow Dash, and Tornado Flare, the right, got it?" Everypony nodded affirmation "Good, everypony take positions!"

I moved forward and began to place charges on the massive door, 3 down the center, 3 on the right door's hinge, and 3 on the left door's hinge.I moved back towards the others as they had moved back to take cover and shield themselves from the blast, I threw myself down and grabbed a detonator and turning a small nob on it tuned it to the magical frequency.

Steeling myself I called out 4 distinct words. "Fire in the hole!"

BOOOMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!

And then everything faded to black.
