(year: 2164, location: Canterlot City)

in the ruins of what was once the grand city of Canterlot, was a great battle. A battle of the survivors of the first attack against an army of soldiers in robotic armor, led by a man with red skin and long pure white hair. Everything he wore was black, including his coat which had a small silhouette of a bull's head on the right side of the chest, he had a small white beard on his chin. "lord Tirek, an evil dictator blessed with immortality, he has done what no one else has ever done before ... he has conquered the world".

In the middle of the battle field was a mother and a son, the mother's name was crystal cog, her skin was silver and her long hair was metallic blue, she wore a long blue jeans and a white T-shirt with a picture of a crystal cog on it. The son had dark blue skin and jet black hair(his hairstyle similar to buttonmash'), he wore green long pants and a light blue shirt with picture of a golden pocket watch with a golden chain going around a black circle.

they were running until they finally grew tire and collapsed onto the ground, then lord Tirek came. After he arrived 4 soldiers came beside him, they quickly pointed their guns at the woman and child, and then... shot her. the man then went to the boy "what's your name?" he asked.

"Rift, Time Rift" Time Rift answered,

"your mother was a brave" the man replied, "just as your father was foolish" he turned his back on the boy and walked away, but the he took out a gun and shot the boy.

(location: time keepers' headquarters)

"Hitler, Attilla the Hun, Genghis khan. their terrors are nothing compared to the terror lord Tirek has rained down upon the world!" said a man with light blue skin and cobalt blue hair(again, his hair is similar to buttonmash' and the coloring is similar to the outer side of the portal on my user image) in a British accent. He wore a long black pants and a white lab coat, within it is a grey sweater. He is currently in a council, lots of his fellow time keepers have gathered.

"Professor Passer, while we do understand the threat that lord Tirek is, we do not have the right to stop him, we exist only to protect the timeline! not to save humanity!" one of the older time keeper said.

"And if we don't stop him what humanity are we going to protect the timeline for?!" replied Portal Passer "...look... all I'm asking for is a chance... a chance to stop Tirek"

(a few minutes later)

Portal Passer walked quickly in his ship towards the bridge. "so, did the council went well sir?" the ship's A.I. asked,

"exactly as predicted" Portal Passer answered.

"so, are we going to continue the plan?" she asked again.

"exactly"

"where to sir?..."

"Cyber, set a course for Canterlot City, 2016", said the professor "we need to recruit the 9 people that will join us on our little crusade...". just then a portal opened up and the ship went into it as it flew into the past.

(year: 2016, location: Canterlot City

"sir, we have arrived at our destination" said Cyber.

"excellent Cyber, now it's just a matter of finding where the recruits are..."

(Canterlot Bank)

"first recruit; Starlight Glimmer, also known as Magilica. Expert on magic, not to mention that she is also the descendant of the greatest wizard in history, Star Swirl the bearded himself, she is the only mage left in her family, since their magical abilities have been lost to time and she only unlocked her magical capabilities after she opened Star Swirl's personal spell book." Portal Passer explained to Cyber so she could locate her.

In the robbery currently taking place at Canterlot Bank, a 16 year old girl with a light purple costume(cobalt blue in the chest area with a symbol of the star on Starlight's cutiemark on it, dark purple boots, and a light purple mask covering her eyes is currently shooting small magical blast that temporarily paralyzed people on contact, "you sure you got this Starlight? you are still new to the team" said Twilight, over the comlink in Starlight's ear,

"positive" Starlight answered, "It's just a simple robbery, beside I've been on the team for at least month now" she said before she shot the last robber with her paralyzing spell, "see, easy"

"I couldn't agree more ms. Glimmer" Portal Passer said appearing out of nowhere, Starlight quickly entered a fighting stance, "do not be alarmed I am not one of your enemies" he said before he shot her with a knock out ray.

(location: Canterlot City)

"second recruit; Spike Sparkle, also known as, Dragon Knight. Expert on pyro-mechanics, his powers includes; pyrokinesis, dragon wing constructs that gives him the ability to fly, the ability to shoot fire balls and flamethrower-like flames out of his hands, and resistances to extreme temperatures up to the heat of the core of the sun. He obtained his power after he was struck by a misfired spell from her adopted sister, Twilight Sparkle, A.K.A, The Masked-Matter Witch, A.K.A, leader of The Elements of Harmony"

A 15 year old boy with dark purple and black futuristic armor and helmet with black specs that act like computer screen and dark green spines through the middle side of the top of the helmet running until the middle of his back, was looking over the city from the top of a building, "beautiful view, isn't it"

"huh" spike said before he got knock out.

"third, forth, and fifth recruits; Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle. they call themselves... The Crusaders... they obtained their powers when a mix they accidentally spilled exploded covering them in multiple chemicals. Applebloom, A.K.A Microgirl, her abilities includes; shrinking, able to jump extremely high when small, the smaller she is the harder she hits, and she is smarter in chemistry than most people give her credit for. Scootaloo, A.K.A the Speedasus, she has super speed, she's so fast that she can create visual copies of herself, and with the right technology or adrenaline conditions she is able to be fast enough to travel through time. Sweetie Belle, A.K.A Hyper Pitch, she is able to generate an extremely High and powerful sonic scream, when her scream is focused on an object it can even shatter aggregated diamond nanorods*. She is also an expert fighter and strategist"

in a highway in Canterlot City, an armored truck is currently being stolen, unbeknownst to the thieves 3 kids are watching them, "ya guys ever wonder why there's a lot of crooks stealing bank trucks and robbing banks in this town?" one of them asked asked,

"it's no wonder, with all of those phantom soldiers running around, most crooks think that the Elements of Harmony are to busy to stop them, but I don't care, as long as i get to punch them" the second one stated "so what's the game plan sweets-streak?" she asked the third one,

"why do you call me that? you're the one with super speed?" the third one replied,

"easy, because every fight you get into always ends quickly" the first one answered, before she asked "so, usual plan?"

"usual plan" the third one said before the second one zoomed off and popped the tires using her bare hands with the heat her hands generated by vibrating them. Then she grabbed Sweetie (she had 4 circular lines like radio waves for the symbol (similar larger example https://i.ytimg.com/vi/wTxz8tD2kAI/maxresdefault.jpg), she wore a grey costume with light blue boots, gloves, and mask) and brought her to the front of the truck. Sweetie then screamed and shattered the glass before the thieves were knocked by a mysterious force that turned out to be Applebloom the size of an ant.

"I may didn't get to punch them, but at least I get to punch the tires" Scootaloo (she had the wing and lightning bolt of her cutiemark for her symbol on her chest. she wore a crimson red costume with black boots and gloves, a red cowl and had orange wings attached to her back) said after Applebloom (she has an M for her symbol. she wore dark red costume and gloves with dark blue boots and blue googles) returned to her normal size.

"Hello girls!", that was the last thing they heard before they lost consciousness.

(location: the frozen north, the abandoned crystal empire nuclear power plant, far from the crystal empire)

"Dr. Night Light and Buttonmash, also known as Atomix, Dr. Night Light is a genius in physics, transmutation, and astronomy and is the father of Spike Sparkle and Twilight Sparkle, Buttonmash is what most people would see as a gamer with no intentions for studying, but in reality he is an expert programmer and hacker. While they are sepparated they have a psychic connection to each other. They can sense and feel what the other is feeling; pain, emotion, and memory, but when they come in contact they can fuse together at will to become Atomix. When they fuse they have the ability to control molecules; he can phase through objects by making their molecules pass through an object, he can make controlled explosions  by fusing hydrogen atoms with helium atoms, he is able to transmute anything into another object, he is able to absorb any explosion and radiation, the ability to fly by commanding their atoms to fly, they are able to breath underwater by transmutating the water atoms into the atoms' of atmospheric air, and the are able to stay in the vacuum of space compressing their molecules and transmutate the dark matter into breathable air"

in the abandoned crystal empire nuclear power plant, a thief in a hazmat suit is stealing left over uranium filled crates, but he is being chase by a being with snow white body, glowing yellow eyes, and metallic silver hair. It's wearing cobalt blue suit with a black collar and black at the edge of it's long sleeves, black boots, a black belt, and a symbol of an atom at the center(https://res.cloudinary.com/teepublic/image/private/s--G2ib5jdg--/t_Preview/b_rgb:262c3a,c_limit,f_jpg,h_630,q_90,w_630/v1452288612/production/designs/390933_1.jpg). Unbeknownst to the thief, two voices are going on in side the beings head, "Button, you must not hit the crates, the uranium in those crates mixed with one on your atomic explosions will create a blast strong enough to send radioactive debris up until the crystal empire" an older voice said,

"gee, doc, thanks for the extra challenge, trying to catch this guy without crashing into obstacles that's practically like flying inside a small cave" a younger one said sarcastically, one that sounded as young as the being looks, around 13 years old. the being carefully created a small explosion behind the thief that knock him of his feet making him lose conciseness,

"now you can detonated the last of the uranium"

"finally" Atomix created an explosion inside the crate that reacted with the uranium and made a huge explosion, but Atomix quickly absorbed the blast, and then they seperated. "doc? remind me again, why couldn't we absorb it while we're flying?" asked a boy with a dark brown jacket and green pants,

"because, Buttonmash, if we try to absorb it while moving, some radioactive particles might escape" a man wearing a grey business coat with a white business shirt and black pants answered "what use is it to be able to share my knowledge if you won't even listen to me?!"

"stop treating me like one of you smarty-pants students!"

"excuse me" Portal Passer suddenly said.

"who are you?" asked Button before they were shot with the ray.

(location: Canterlot City)

"sir! there's seem to be an error! according to my database these two recruits are criminals!"

"there's no error Cyber" Portal Passer calmly answered, "Discord Draconequus and Sombra Sabio, also known as, the Lord of Chaos and the Crystal King, both of their powers are magic based. Discord is a weapon experts, he is able to create weapons out of magic from some of the most famous class of warriors where and when great battles took place, or as he likes to call it... age of chaos, some of his favorite weapons include: katanas, shurikens, broadswords, bow and arrows, six shooters, grenades, and maces. He is also able to know how a weapon works, how to use it, how to sabotage it, how to reverse engineer it, and how to shut it down by just touching it for a few moments, he acts as the brains while Sombra acts as the muscle. a store in Canterlot City is currently being rob by two of the most notorious criminals in Canterlot City , the Lord of Chaos and the Crystal King, "with all of those phantom soldier guys, the Elements of Harmony are to busy to even notice us robbing a store" Discord said as they got into their getaway car,

"I still don't see why we can't just rob a bank or steal an armored truck?" Sombra asked angrily (as usual),

"simple, if we did those things then we'll get enough attention for them to send those pesky Crusaders or that newbie hero Starlight" Discord answered "besides, if you can't make it big, do a lot of things so it will look big" he then stated before their car zoomed off, "what the..." Discord said as he saw Portal Passer in their as he blasted them with his ray.

everyone found themselves on top of a building as the regain consciousness, "Discord? what are you doing here" Button asked,

"I could ask you the same thing... hello doctor" he said in a spiteful tone,

"Spike? is that you?" Night Light asked as he saw Spike,

"Dad?... ow... my head... how did we get here"

"I don't know, how about we just asked the guy who knocked us all out!" Scootaloo said sarcastically and angrily.

"I apologized for using my unconsciousness-ray on all of you" said Portal Passer as he approached everyone "I doubt you would cooperate easily if I asked you to follow me" he stated "let me introduce myself, I am Professor Portal Paradox Passer, I'm a timekeeper from the year 2164. I have traveled back in time to stop an evil tyrant that has conquered the world, Lord Tirek... I've been tasked to gather an elite team to stop him by traveling through time to stop his rise to power"

"so... what does this Tirek guy has to do with us?" asked Sombra,

"Tirek is immortal and has many followers throughout time, so I would need a team to get to him, and as for killing him... only the heir of the only wizard that has ever defeated him in a duel can defeat him... the heir of the greatest wizard of all time that has unlocked her magical abilities, is the only one who has the ability to kill him" as he said those words,

everyone looked at Starlight "wait a minute, so, I'm the only who can kill him?..." Portal Passer nodded "but if my ancestor, Star Swirl, had already beaten him in a duel how did Tirek killed him? and didn't any of other ancestors who still had magic tried to kill him?" she asks,

"for the second question, they did try to find and kill him, but they were either killed before they found him, never did found him, or were killed while they were trying to kill him. as for the first question, after their duel, Tirek teamed up with an enemy kingdom of Star Swirl's home kingdom, war begun and Tirek killed Star Swirl, his death is the reason the once grand city of Everfree is left in ruins in the middle of the Everfree forest, because Everfree... was Star Swirls home" everyone (except Sombra and Discord) looked shocked,

then Discord spoke "that's quite a story, but you got the wrong guy, hero ain't on my resume"

"or mine" Sombra added before leaving,

but Portal Passer stopped them "I know it would seem hard to believe it, but in the future, everyone on this roof is more than just a team... you're legends... and, so you know, if you don't help me this is what's in store for the world in 2164..." Portal Passer lifted his arm and opened his hand, as a gigantic portal appeared before them, within it was the world left in ruins, fires are every where, and smoke filled the air, as soldier in robotic armor and scary, futuristic jets scavenge the world for rebels, he lowered his hand and the portal closed "I could've gone to any time and picked anyone, out of all people who have ever lived i chose you 9... I certainly hope you won't let me... or the world down..." Portal stated as he walked away "if any of you choose to join me, meet me at the clearing at Whitetail Woods in 36 hours" he said before leaving

(location: Canterlot City)

Twilight was fighting a group of soldiers in futuristic armor, known as phantom soldiers, she was going to blast the last one with her lavender magic when a blast of blue magic hit him behind him, "I had that!" Twilight said, frustrated,

"yeah, I know, I just did that to get your attention!"  Starlight stated "we need to talk!"

Starlight then explained the situation to Twilight, "you're sure you're going? cause from the sound of it Tirek seems to be extremely dangerous" Twilight asked,

"that's why Professor Portal passer recruited a team" Starlight stated,

"a team that includes Discord Draconequus and Sombra Sabio, so are you sure you're going?" Twilight asked again,

"look, Twi, I joined the Elements so I could make a difference, to be a hero, Portal Passer is offering me a chance to do that",

Twilight smiled at Starlight "good luck then"

"thanks".

In the lair of the Elements of Harmony the Crusaders just explained the offer they got to their respective sisters, "wow... Ah still can't believe you three are going to time travel to stop an immortal tyrant, sounds like something straight from a TV show" said Applejack in disbelief, "indeed, although are you sure he didn't picked incorrectly? you three are only 13" Rarity said worriedly, "I agree, I mean, he's from the future, but he didn't picked me... he should've picked me!" Rainbow said frustrated, "well Ah think they should go, Ah think this Portal Passer fella' sees potential in ya'll" AJ stated "and ya probably won't brag to everyone in a city saying that they could predict the future every time they travel to the past" Rainbow gave AJ a death glare as she said this, "really? thanks sis!" Applebloom said excitedly, "if Applejack approves, than I approve" Rarity proudly said, "Yaaayyy!!!", "I agree with Rares, but the next time you see this Portal Passer, tell him that I'm angry that he didn't picked me!" said RD, "consider it done" said Scootaloo happily.

At an abandoned warehouse in Canterlot City, the Lord of Chaos and the Crystal King are deciding if they should accept Portal Passer's offer, "why should we even care about a war in the future? especially when it's 100 years after I'm dead!" Sombra Stated, "but, think about the things we can do in the past" Discord replied, "what are we talking about?" "think about it, we could take the monalisa from da'vinci's hands, snatch jewelry before alarms were used, break into vaults before fingerprint scanning was invented, and if we still don't get to do those things, we can still-" "-get into a bunch of good fights" Sombra finished, before saying "I'm in".

At Canterlot University, in Dr. Night Lights office, he and Spike are trying to convince Buttonmash to join the team, "NO!!! ask me as much as you want, my answer is still no" Buttonmash argued, "but, Buttonmash, just think of all the possibilities" Dr. Night Light stated, "besides, don't you want to try out some vintage classic video games like pac-man or space invaders?" Spike added, "tempting, but no", "alright then, let us have some apple juice to celebrate me and Spike's grand adventure", "cheers!" Spike said with a knowing look, "knock yourselves out!" Button said before drank his cup, "that's exactly what we just did" Button looked at Spike in shock as he realized what he meant, but he fell to the floor before he could reply, "how did you know what I was planning to do?" Night Light asked Spike, "Twi told me you once used the same trick on Shining Armor to get to go camping with you when he was my age" Spike told him, "he won't be happy when hears that Twilight told you that incident" Night Light replied "come on, help me get Buttonmash into the car".

A car carrying Dr. Night Light, Spike, and an unconscious Buttonmash, stopped at the clearing at Whitetail Woods. They are soon joined by the other 6 people Portal Passer recruited, then a time ship appeared and landed in front of the team (I use the same design as the one from Legends of tomorrow, only with light blue lighting instead of orange, i didn't bother making an original design) "ah... I see you've all decided to come" Portal Passer said with joy "everyone, this is the Sky Warp, I has been my ship for over a Decade", they all walked in, but before Dr. Night Light walked in he asked Sombra to bring Buttonmash.

Everyone had their mouths open in disbelief when they saw the inside of the Sky Warp "the technology is amazing!" said Dr. Night Light, before Sombra (after he put Button on one of the 9 passenger chairs that surrounded a table (3 on each side) with a screen on it) stated to him "whatever you used to knock that kid out is unlike anything I've ever seen" "I did not knocked him out!" Night light said, "oh, it's crystal clear that you did something" Sombra replied. "How do you fly this thing without a crew?" asked Scootaloo, after she zoomed around the ship, "I don't need one, I have Cyber" Portal Passer said as the ships A.I. greeted them "greetings everyone I am Cyber", "Cyber explain the mission to everyone", "certainly, Tirek has hidden his movements through out history, but a few scientist have done researches about him, then they wrote their findings in a journal, after they died, the journal was kept at a large local library", "our mission is to retrieve the book before the library caught fire" Portal Passer finished, Night Light then realized something, "wait a minute, is the library the old Canterlot library?" Portal nodded, "than that means we have to go to 1975!", "correct doctor!... Cyber set a course for that time please", "systems are ready professor" Cyber replied, "alright then, everyone strap yourselves in! temporal navigation isn't something one wants to be standing up for" Portal passer said as he began to explain the side effects during time traveling "some of you might feel a slight discomfort or numbness, at very rare instances, there will be some... eh...bleeding from the eyeballs", "I'm sorry, what?" Starlight asks as realization struck her. Portal Passer then press a button before the Sky Warp started to fly away, then Buttonmash started to gain consciousness "ah, Buttonmash, I'm glad you're awake. I don't want you to miss this" Night Light said as Buttonmash caught up with his surroundings "what the ... !" he said as he tried to unfasten his seat's safety gear, "no, I wouldn't unfasten those if if I were you!" Portal Passer warned, "just get me of this... whatever this thing is!" "just hang on and remain calm" Portal said to Button "all your worlds are about to change" he said as the ship flew into a portal.

unbeknownst to them a man in a black futuristic full body armor littered with scratches, holding a futuristic cannon was watching "I have located the Sky Warp" he said in a robotic voice.
